The wind blew his hair into his face, blinding him for a moment. He blinked shaking his head quickly, and looked back at her, nodding as Liam looked past her. “Thanks aren’t required, it’s just part of my job.” he said automatically, a phrase he used often times when he helped people. It was taught to the naval students when ever they were to help to someone. Liam chuckled though, adding, “Though it’s always nice to receive it.” Liam smiled at her, and then looked back at his staring crew, the odd looks running on their faces. “What you blokes? Never seen your Captain Conch happy?” he questioned, walking down the deck for a few steps. He looked at each of the men and women, smiling at each of them. “Now that you’ve got it burned in your heads, get back to work!” he ordered, his smiling face replaced with a hard commanding presences. He mumbled under his breath, turning back to Evelyn, a softer look on his face now. “Sorry,” he muttered, “You just have to show them whose boss. “ Liam sighed, looking at the sea that fell behind her. “I suppose your right, though it will eat you alive if you stare to long.” Liam stared out, his eyes glazed over gradually as his mind wandered, trance by it and the memories that rushed by him. He bit his lip unconsciously, arising from the trance as he shook his head to clear his thoughts. “I got too caught up, and now I’m hollow.” His smile empty as he looked at her finally.
