Welcome to Gaia! ::

Zinku, slightly disappointed, laughs. "Well, that's a bummer. I haven't felt aloof for years." Sitting also cross-legged, Zinku went through that old familiar process of meditation as he had practiced it too long ago. His shoulders dropped as he let the tension out of his neck, and his forearms relaxed on his legs, hands palm up on his knees. With his eyes closed, he tried closing off sight through his eyelids to find sight in his mind. Surprisingly enough, he could see the energies he felt of his friends and people around them, and eventually felt his own energy within him. He couldn't see but what emanated from him, his energy stretching out slowly, exercising itself so that he could use what little there was to keep his tail and wings hidden.

That's it! His spirit jumped, and he could see that it was indeed a silvery blue - a metallic steel blue color that glowed in the center - and was already about the size of a large beach ball. Haha, maybe I could be a little less enthused about it. Easily inconspicuous, like. Zinku started to look for ways to get his spirit to condense, but he couldn't seem to get it to stay that way for more than twenty seconds. When it became strained enough, it exploded back to normal size.
"That was good!" Lux cried, forgetting about his curiosity aroused when the twins were called dragons.

"At first, it's easier to make a container for it, instead of just trying to hold it there," Nox advised. He, too, seemed to have forgotten about being called a dragon in his excitement for Zinku. "Start with something the size of, say, a soft ball or a grapefruit."

"Once you have your container set, draw your aura into it as if you were putting something into a container too small."

"Except that after you try hard enough, your aura will listen; it will become smaller and more dense, so that it can fit into the container."

"Making mental containers takes longer, which is why after a while it's best to move on to just drawing it in yourself without having something to bind it there, but they're good for starting off."

"So, are you gonna try again?" both of the twins seemed eager to have their friend succeed. They had never tried teaching before, and Nox, for one, was glad to see that Zinku seemed to understand.
Trying to stay as deep in his meditation as possible, he waved a sort of "yes" to Nox, and crept back to his mental room. If it's a container they want, then that's what they'll get. He imagined a large jam jar, the image clear in his room, floating a few feet off the floor. It was the smallest thing he could think of quickly that wasn't too small. Then, the jam jar morphed into a pelican, and Zinku imagined the pelican opening its mouth, and flying at his spirit. In one swoop, the bird sucked his spirit into its mouth, closing its beak on the great ball of energy. On the spot, the pelican morphed back into the jar with the lid closed. "How's that?" He asked all three of them, eyes still closed and smirking.
"Perfect!"

"Okay, open it up--it's hard on your psychic aura to keep it condensed for long periods of time when you're first starting out--especially when you're condensing it into something that much smaller," Lux said.

"We'll try it a few more times before we start playing hide-and-seek," Nox assured him, "So that you can hold it for longer."

"But before that, it's Rei's turn to try." Both of the twins looked to Rei expectantly.

"Your aura is a deep, shining red, almost purple," Nox offered. "Try binding it by yourself, first--"

"--And if you can't keep a good hold on it for long, then try using a container."
Zinku did as he was told and opened his container. The moment he did so, the container disappeared and his silver-blue ball grew and danced in its freedom. It did leave Zinku a little strained and sweaty, but it was something he had to work with and get used to - just like his extended ability to transform.

Wanting badly to exercise his body, Zinku repressed that feeling to observe how Rei would do. He figured it was only proper to stay in the loop.
Rei had sat down, mimicing the others in their cross-legged positions. She watched the boys intently, curiousity beaming from her eyes. When it was finally her turn she smiled happily, excited to try something new.

"A deep red, huh?" She said, quite interested. She let out a yawn, with a 'nya~' and she went into meditation. She had a hard time finding the red energy they were talking about, but could feel the energies. She kept moving in her mind, finally stumbling upon her energy. Indeed it was the color they described.

She paused, the look on her face grew puzzled, as she attempted to make the energy smaller. She formed the idea in her mind, as if she were holding the energy, and it obidiently grew smaller for her, as if to fit in her imaginary hands. After a half a minute, however, the energy grew back to it's normal size.

(( sorry for the wait guys... I didn't have access to a computer over my vacation =o I hope this post is good too XD; ))
"Good, good!" Lux cheered.

"Great, in fact!" Nox added.

"Now, try your container."

"Mister Zinku, try focusing enough to see her energy as she works it--it looks different from another point of view," instructed Nox.

"Yeah. Our energies are the same size and color, and we use the same methods to hide them, but when we watch each other do it, it still feels different. It always feels like a learning experience," Lux admitted. "Even when I think I know all there is to know about hiding my energy, I still learn."

"The spirit is always changing, even if you don't notice it. So you constantly have to make minor adjustments on how to work your energy to be able to hide it efficiently." Nox turned to Rei, "Do you remember what to do, Miss Rei?" he asked.
"I am, I am." Zinku, still sitting in the familiar-now-uncomfortable position he was in, turned his attention to Rei's attempts at aura shrinking. Strangely, her attempts were just as rough as his, which made him question her innocence as a demon. She had talent, that was obvious, but what was she doing sneaking and hiding? Was there some kind of hidden secrets? Hidden intents? His aura seemed to twitch with these thoughts, unbeknownst to him, but the twitches were subtle and short. Something bad is going to happen soon... with or without her involvement. A rival draws near, and I don't believe it's one of mine.
Rei nodded her head slowly, then focused back on her aura. She formed the thought of a box that was about the size of a softball. She beckoned her energy to get into the box, which it did, but had a hard time of course. The box lid closed on her energy and she smiled happily.
"The friend I'm going to see might like you. He is a nice guy unless you really bug him. Believe me I know from experience, not to mention he can be pretty annoying." Seth states as he grabbed his canteen for a drink of water and offering some to Asa. "Are you thirsty? We'll be at the town within the next hour," he asked before mentioning the town they are nearing. “We could get some rest in the inn, but I’m going to need your help since I’m technically a wanted beast.” Seth mentioned as an after thought.

Adolfo looked out his window to see the sun high up in the beautiful spring sky. He sighed in slight annoyance from his pathetic means of a home. To most people it looked like its only purpose was for the means of getting out of the harsh weather. Though on the outside the house looked like any other Shangri-La house, on the inside Adolfo had decorated most of the house with rich oak, given to him by hi rival before they lost all contact. “He should be here within the next couple of weeks,” he said aloud as he walked outside to watch the birds fly about in his front yard, if you could call it that. As the birds began to sing a soft tune, Adolfo sat Indian style and watched the beautiful sight.
((Does the sun rise in the West, Wolf? /).< Here we go again...
Well, I suppose you could play catch up with Adolfo, but the sun sets in the West, and it would set in Detritus before it sets in Shangri-la. It would also rise in Welkin before it set in Shangri-la. Do I need to make a time map, too? >.<;; Please, at least compare Ab Ovo to Earth, and use our timezones.))

Hysho slept soundly in the less-than-royal bed on the top floor of a Welkinian inn. Although he didn't need sleep, he didn't feel like traveling Welkin streets in the late hours of the night. He knew what kind of people lurked in the shadows...

Instead, he got about an hour, maybe two hours of sleep, before he decided to catch what little light was peeking over the horizon - and it was very little, as the sun hadn't even peeked over the horizon yet, and so hasn't peeked over the mountains, either.

    ((Meanwhile, I have to figure out where everyone is exactly, so I don't mess anything up. @.@; Hysho's description of Welkin determines Asa and Seth's position on the map, but not necessarily the assassin's bounty hunter's... and I can't remember what side of Lake Bronze the rest of us are on. >.<;
    I'll figure it out eventually.))
"Might like me? Why?" She asked quite simply. She refused his offer of the water. "I only eat and drink when I feel neccessary... I will wait till we get to the inn." She continued following him until he meantioned he would need her help. "So you need me to protect you." She stated more as a fact than question.
((Aha! The village is north of Lake bronze. |3 And I wish there was something vital happening, but... nothing. Time should move faster, methinks. Let's wrap this up.))

Zinku let his concentration vamp, returning his thoughts to the world he lives in, and not the one he manipulates. He looked around, the expression on his face a variable grim as he rubbed the white stubble on his face. A short headache infiltrated his thoughts, bringing back that uncomfortable yet familiar feeling he had experienced earlier that morning. It was no longer morning, he noticed as his headache receded, the crowds bustling with excitement in the hot sun of afternoon hours. This was the time of day he usually took advantage of the merchants to steal some dinner. "Hmm..." Considering the circumstances, he wouldn't be able to leave his guests without them noticing, as his spirit was probably resuming its free flow nature - which was not at all controlled.
A hungry growl coming from Rei's stomach yanked her from her mind. She blushed, looking down. "Eheh... I seem to be hungry." Her eyes scanned the area, thinking of where she could satisfy her hunger. "Wow... it's really gotten late. I guess time does fly when you're having fun."
She stood up and stretched a bit before looking through her bag for some money. After a while she grabbed enough and looked at her new friends. "Are you boys hungry as well?"
The twins looked at each other--or more specifically, each other's stomachs.

"Yeah, I think it's safe to say that we're hungry, Miss Rei," Nox said matter-of-factly.

Lux nodded in agreement. "Food-time, food-time~!" he exclaimed cheerily.
