Welcome to Gaia! ::

"Well, we're two very different people. Besides I'm sure you have things to do when we get there. Maybe serve someone else or something. I need to find someone, that should be able to help me return to the home that is rightfully mine," Seth told her as he thought about his long forgotten rival and friend. Hopefully he'll forget the past and help me as soon as possible. If he hasn't than I have more to worry about than the war and my family, he thought as he finished off his apple and spit out the seeds.

"We were discussing some things that we have in common," Zinku said, exercising his charm a little. Charm his acquaintances and adversaries knew was well and often exercised, because sometimes he just couldn't help himself. "I see you've found me - that didn't take long." He crossed his arms casually out of habit, and would sway his tail out of habit also, had his tail been visible.

((Sorry for the short post guys, but I can't give my all to roleplaying while I'm concerned about packing for a trip. @.@; I'll be away for Thanksgiving, starting tonight, and I'm not quite sure what day I'll be back... but when I find out, I'll let ya both know.

I'll also have an internet connection while I'm away, I just don't know how long it'll be until I find one. xD; Anyways, I'll be in touch... somewhere...))
Rei smiled, " I see..." She paused in thought for a bit. "So do you have the ability to read minds aswell, Zinku?" She turned to him with curious eyes.

--------------------------------------------------

"I never stray from something important. I am already helping you, and unless I find a situation that is more dire, then I shall stay with you." She stated with little emotion, but that strange warmth in her voice filling the air like a song. "Unless you would prefer being by yourself when we get there, then I will do as you wish." She sounded almost as a servant, but didn't mean to. It was as if she were "programmed" to do such things.

((I look forward to hearing from you, Kamon. But until then, have a great thanksgiving :3 ))
"I can, but I usually don't. Gaining access into people's minds is a tricky task, and sometimes it is highly dangerous." Zinku's face suddenly became serious as he began to vaguely illustrate why he chooses not to use telepathy to steal information. "If I were to ever consider invading someone's mind, it would be the mind of someone who could possibly have a psychic defense against intruders, and that could lead to some very costly circumstances for me." He closed his eyes briefly, leaning back slightly as he stood. He opened them slowly, looking to his left into the vast fields in the distance, between the mountains and the lake. "But I deal with some very strange people."
"I see..." She said yet again, thinking about it. "How would one put up a barrier to block out intruders?" She was rather curious but also wanted to know as a 'just in case'.
After that she quickly remembered that it wasn't just her and Zinku. She looked at the boys, smiling happily at them. "What are you two doing following him around, anyway?" She asked, not meaning anything rude by it. Zinku seemed to prefer being by himself nevermind being with two children.
While the adults had been talking, the twins had been standing there, content to be around other people. And better, people who wouldn't care that they were, somehow, different. Not that they knew what they were anyway, but that was the reason they had stayed inside all the time--at the coaxing of their caretakers, who, today, had finally deemed it okay for them to leave. Perhaps it was just because they were getting a little senile that they forgot that Lux and Nox couldn't leave, but the twins weren't complaining about their freedom.

"Mister Zinku said he would play with us!" Lux said, his face gleeful. "He's our first friend. And now you're our second!"

"You know, it's a bad idea to try to block someone from your mind," Nox seemed to be pondering aloud. "If one thing breaks your focus, you'd be a goner for sure."

"He's right," Lux continued. "What you really should do is to retaliate--you know, fight back. Not many people do, so chances are whoever tries to get into your mind won't have any of his own defenses up, and he'll leave if you attack him!"

"Even then, not many people know how to block against a mental attack, when they're spending their efforts trying to break into someone else's mind," Nox added.

"It's like turning your thoughts into a mental whip," Lux described. "But now that I think about it... in theory, you should be able to gather them into whatever weapon you want that's useful, but something fluid like a whip is easier, I think."

"You can use it like a thrusting weapon," Nox reminded his brother. "Just gathering everything and pushing it off on the intruder." He looked at Rei, "I think that works very well."

"That's true. And it might be easier than trying to form a weapon." Now both of the twins looked thoughtful. "Maybe we can try it sometime, Night," Lux said, using his nickname for his brother. Of course, they knew what their names meant.

"Sometime," Nox agreed, as though Lux had just called him by his real first name. Obviously, it was something he was used to, nothing new. He too had a nickname for Lux--"Light"--which he used just as often as his brother used Nox's nickname.

Nox brought himself out of his thoughts and said, "Sometime, but now we have playmates!"
Rei looked thoughtfully at the boys, absorbing the information she was given, "I see... I'll need to remember that."
Rei smiled happily, "Well I'm glad that I'm one of you're new friends." She looked at Zinku, "And you three were going to play?" Her gaze moved back to the twins, "What were you going to play?"
"Hide-and-seek!" Nox said, and the twins launched into an explanation of how to hide psychic energy--since they couldn't see physically--so that it would be a fairer game. After all, it wouldn't be any fun if the twins could find them every time because of their psychic energies.

"Unless you have a different game," Lux piped up. "We aren't very imaginative, so if you have a different game we could play--"

"Then we'd love to play it! We always like to try new things." The twins beamed up at Zinku and Rei, their silvery purple eyes wide again in childish amusement and excitement.

[[OoC;; <lazy> xD]]
Rei smiled excitedly, her playful side showing as she eclaimed, "That sounds like lots of fun! Lets play then." She then paused and mentioned, "Zinku and I should probably try out the hiding of our energies before we play, just to make sure it's fair, right?" She looked at Zinku, then shifted her gaze back to the boys.

(( yay for being lazy~ ))
Zinku shrugged, smiling again. "I certainly don't have a problem trying it out." He unfolded his arms, resting his right at his side, and keeping his left raised slightly, the palm of his hand facing forward. "My home is just over there; I think it'd be easier to try this if we weren't in this crowd. Plus, we could sit." Smiling wider, he let out a silent laugh. "I'm tired of standing."
"Okay!" the twins cried simultaneously, running around the adults. Lux was positively bouncing, as was his brother, with what could only be the energy of a kid who hasn't been played with yet. It seemed like his energy was boundless, like no matter how much he ran around, he would still be as perky as ever. Of course, past experiences disproved this idea--there were plenty of occasions where the old couple had found him and his brother, curled up together, sleeping after a long day's work. Presuming 'work' was running around playing tag all day.

Rei, too, had something about her that made Nox feel like he could trust her--just like Zinku did. When the twins were by themselves, they always felt...secluded. Like they couldn't rely on anyone outside of themselves. Even the old couple that watched them--the twins had never really bonded with them. And whenever the couple had friends over--friends that the twins knew their caretakers trusted--the twins would always hide away, like cats whenever there was company over.

Lux felt the same way. Was it because they were demons, Zinku and Rei? Their caretakers would have never let demons even near the house, and they probably weren't going to like it when they found out that the twins had been playing with demons. Perhaps, Lux thought, it was that they were demons--something about them being inhuman maybe made the twins feel more comfortable about them, or maybe their being inhuman changed their outlook on everything...

Whatever the reason, both of the twins were glad for other people that they liked. Certainly, they would always love each other, but it was nice to get to know new people.

[[OoC;; Sorry for the succinct posts--I just had a three-post plot-movement on AfterShock, and I'm a little RPd-out. xD
Speaking of which, thanks for joining, Kamon, we really need more men. xD]]
Rei giggled at the boys' hyperactivity. She began walking towards Zinku's home, just as she was before. She watched carefully to make sure she didn't accidently step on the boys as she walked, smiling happily.
For the first time in a really long while, Rei felt happy, as if she belonged with her new friends. Perhaps it was just that she bonded with them quickly, or she was just enjoying the company.

(( It happens XD ))
((All of the roleplays I was in were going a tad slow, and eventually stalled at the same time. D= Besides, I kinda said I was gonna join your rp. x3;; But I hope I don't regret being part of all these rps when they kick back. xD))

Zinku gladly took the lead back to his home, not worrying that the others might find it odd that all it was was a trio of small trees. He sat down beside the tree inbetween the other two (or it seemed, since they were not in an equal triangular formation), and pushed aside some things so the others could also sit. There was just enough room for all of them, thankfully, and hopefully none of them were too clostrophobic.

He waited for them to come in before he questioned the twins. "I have a starter's question for ya, dragons." Not really thinking about the nickname he gave the twins, he continued. "What kind of emotion would help conceal my energy?"
"Hmm..."

"That depends on the place you're at." Lux said.

"Yeah, you want to try to blend your emotions with your surroundings."

"But that's not until later--you have to try to remain calm first."

"You have to clear your mind of all of your thoughts to reach a sense of aloofness, of being away from everything." Nox sat down cross-legged and put his hands on his knees, breathing deeply with his eyes, for the first time, closed.

"You have to look inside of your mind and find your aura. It's silvery-blue, by the way," Lux added, hoping to be helpful. "And it'll be familiar to you, it'll feel different than the rest of your mind."

"It'll feel like a twin," Nox giggled.

"Once you've found it, you need to focus it into one point, so that it's reeeeaaaally little. Nox and I can get ours to almost completely disappear now, but we've had a looong time to practice. As far as we know, most people can't hide it past the size of a golf ball."

"But if you start and keep on practicing, then you can get it smaller and smaller, like we did."

"And, once you get it small enough, then you can focus on blending your emotions with the rest of your scenery, to hide what's showing."

And then it seemed to hit the twins at the same time:

"Dragons?"
