Welcome to Gaia! ::

She smiled and giggled at the boys, "Well I guess dinner's on me then! Hm... now what would be good..." She paused, looking around.

(( yea... I think there should be a fire or something! XD ))
    ((Easy for you to say... xD You could easily make something happen; you don't have to wait for me. I'm slow.))

    Zinku relaxed his position, glad that they were all done training, and not at all bothered that they hadn't gotten around to playing that game of the twins'. If anything bothered him now, besides his hunger, was the thought of actually purchasing his food. He liked the idea of inconspicuous thieving of a meal, but he wouldn't let that stop his guests from doing what they wanted... and he would join them. "I know of a merchant who would be especially glad to sell to you. If you have to buy from anyone, she's it. It's a secret, but she cooks really awesome stuff." He stood up, brushing off his pants a little from sitting in the dirt, and colliding with some of the lower branches of his trees. "We'll have to go through the crowd of course, which might prove to be a challenge..."
Seth looked over at Asa before quickly responding, “Not to protect me, just to hide me. The inn is coming up and I need to be hidden from locals.” He looked around the semi-deserted and darkened town as they slowly approached the inn in question. “We need the sleep for our journey over the mountains tomorrow, but we can’t rest if we’re being chased,” Seth explained as he glanced at the treacherous mountains looming over the town.
    At this time of day, it was difficult for anyone to get about the village, but somehow they managed. If half of them cared, they would notice that they passed the same faces on their routes everyday. Zinku could have passed through the crowds with ease, although with some discomfort, but that would have left the others far behind. "Don't lose me; we're almost there."

    As he came up to the quaint little house, he slowed and greeted the woman standing out front. She smiled back at him out of habit, not out of respect, but because it was just proper manners. He happened to be a very dangerous person, she knew, because she wasn't kept out of the loop like the rest of the village. "Hello, Zinku." Her voice was soft, but it matched her motherly figure. She was neither plump nor slender, but bright in the face and happy. "If you're looking for Mel, she's not home right now." Sweeping her broom over the mat in front of her door, she explained, "I've sent her on another errand outside of the village." She watched Zinku nod, and noticed the others around him.

    "That's fine misses Jaegar. I wasn't looking for her. I was wondering..." He rubbed his chin slightly, uncomfortable with having to ask the woman for anything. Could we buy lunch? It wasn't a hard question to ask, but he knew that she never liked him, and he didn't blame her. "Would you like company for lu-"

    "No." She gave him a stern glare that made her look almost like a stranger, then propped the broom up against the wall. "I'm really busy today, so I don't want comp-"

    "Crap! That's crap. I'm not doing you harm." He stepped closer to her, making her feel even more uneasy. "Not to flatter you, but you have the best lunch spot for miles. I want to treat my friends before I move on." Her expression changed slightly as if to ask him 'when', and with a nod, he told her, "Tonight."

    "I guess Mel will have to miss out." She said solemnly, taking the broom in hand and opening the door to her house. "Please, come in and make yourselves comfortable." She turned to Zinku and whispered, "I don't want your friends money, and I don't want your money." Giving him that same glare as before, she added, "You can call this a thanks for not terrorizing anything for a change." As Zinku groaned and shook his head at her, she smiled and ushered everyone into the house, then proceeded towards the kitchen to make lunch.
"Protect and hide seem to be the same..." She said, as if she were thinking about it. She looked at him for a moment then said, "Perhaps if you relaxed, you would not catch so much attention."

Rei gave a warm and polite smile to the woman after they were invited in, mainly to hide the awkwardness she felt. Her stomach grumbled again, raising an embarressed look to her face once again. "Ah... Sorry..."
"You make a valid point," Seth said as he thought about his attire and physic. His clothes were rattier than what he would wear back home and no one who would look at him would think of him to be a high-ranking welkinian. "Alright then, as long as I can keep a low profile we shouldn't have to worry too much. Besides it's a small town, maybe they're not up to date on high-ranking matters," Seth stated nervously as he entered the town and headed to the nearest inn.
The angel followed him obediently, stating simply, "Stop being nervous." She gave him a small smile, in hopes of comforting him.
"I'll try, but I can't help, but feel a little paranoid. Every time someone glances over I over think what they're actually looking at," he conceded as he blearily glanced at a shopkeeper, who looked as though he was looking in Seth's general direction. "So...have any other friends besides me?" Seth asked Asa to get his mind off of his worries.
"Friends? No..." She said, watching him. "I guess you can call the people I saved friends...." She states simply, looking around with empty eyes.
