Jordyn Ames

"Bravo!" Jordyn said clapping, appearing as himself once more. Jordyn was by far impressed with the poem. "A classic childhood poem to be saying, youngster." Jordyn said with a kind smile. He did not want to frighten her. Merely to keep her occupied until Mariana came along. "What's your name?" he asked.

Mariana lurked out of view, wanting to see how Jordyn might handle thing. Knowing he could read her mind, she kept her thoughts open, and the idea that she was merely supervising at the moment stayed in the front of her mind. She had completely confidence in the vampire's abilities to send the human girl away from their home. 'I'm sure you can handle things, my friend,' She thought, a smirk forming on her lips again. The vampyress looked to the setting sun and was ready to head into the city, but first, she'd make sure the Coven home was in no danger.

The forest held no terror for Jonathan as he strode calmly through it's depths. He had seen worse than wolves and bears: it would take more than a few animals going bump in the woods to scare him off.
He paused as he passed a tree trunk, and examined it with haunted green eyes set in sunken sockets. His fingers reached out, covered in leather gloves, and gently ran fingers down what would appear to be claw marks in the wood.
Jonathan raised a lip at the sign. He was a somber figure: his pale skin contrasted sharply with his vibrantly red hair. He was tall and lean, and wore clothing more appropriate for a funeral than a stroll in the woods: a black wool coat and sweater covered his torso while black jeans and boots made up his lower garb. A black leather case was slung across his back, and it was this that he placed upon the ground and unzipped.
"Might as well get some dinner while I'm here..." he said to himself as he pulled a hunting rifle out of this case along with a small box of bullets. He dangled the case by the shoulder strap from a limb just above his head, and set off into the woods to find only god knows what.

Upon finishing her song, she sighed softly looking about wishing she could figure the way out. She shifted slightly pulling her camera close to her, which was her only prized possesion. Which may tell people how much simple things meant to her. She glanced about uneasily beginning to become a bit frightened by the simple sounds of the wild life moving about. She stood up her face revealing she was currently afraid. Her deep sea blue eyes glanced about quickly as she listened to twigs snap and leaves rustle from the slight breeze. If there was one thing she feared, it was being alone in the dark. She moved slightly hearing a twig snap and turned away slowly walking forward looking about. She cursed silently under her breath hoping she didn't flip out and freak over the smallest thing. She heard claws upon a tree and cringed as she listened to all of the sounds of the wild life. She closed her eyes quickly gripping her camera slightly before quickly opening them. She glanced about quickly and walked forward sighing deeply deciding not to wait for morning. She felt like running but knew she'd only get hurt or get into a situation she didn't quite want to be in. She wandered about the woods slightly glancing around quickly from being frightened. She could've sworn she heard a man talking and glanced around becoming even more scared.
"Heh.. W-Why would there be a man in the woods.. Heh.. I'll b-be fine.."She mumbled her slovakian accent revealing itself. She then heard a big twig snap she about lost it and glanced back slightly. She could feel her heart pounding under her breasts and looked about wide eyed like an animal that was about to be shot. She attempted to calm down by humming a song looking forward walking slowly yet cautiously.

Feeling something touch her hair and shoulder she let out a high pitched scream. It ended up being a tree branch but still she thought it was a hand or a clawed paw. She began to feel light headed as she ran forward holding her camera to her chest dearly as if someone was attempting to pry it from her pale fingers. She ran forward then ended up tripping over a tree's root falling forward her camera rolling away. She covered her head slightly as if something was coming after her.
"Please, don't eat me bears! Then wolves, don't tear me to shreds!"She screamed out her voice could be heard around the woods. She then scrambled up falling forward once more only to get back up again. She grabbed her camera quickly and began to run forward. She ran and ran until she was deep into the woods. Her dark brown hair concealed leaves and her face had a scratch on it from being caressed roughly by a branch, which was bleeding. She then had cuts over her pale legs from running through thorn bushes and regular bushes, which as a curse bled as well. She finally stopped panting slightly under an old oak tree gripping the trunk slightly as if she'd fall without it. She held her camera to her chest as her heart raced threatening to jump from the rib cage that concealed it. She dropped to her knee's feeling severely light headed and looked up at the darkening sky. She could barely focus on the fear from being so tired and sighed deeply dropping back upon her back. She tried to get her breathing under control and finally managed to get it. She could feel her eyelids begin to droop and opened them quickly slapping her face slightly trying to keep herself awake. Though the sand man was against her and put her under his spell quickly making her fall asleep under the big old oak tree. She curled up slightly holding her camera to her chest nuzzling her free hand that was under her face.

Not too far from the oak tree underwhich the girl slept, a deer wandered aimlessly about. Like the girl, it too was lost: it had gotten separated from the rest of its of it's fellows. Ordinarily, the branches and brambles were just that: branches and brambles. But now that he stood alone, the deers wanted to bolt with fear as those branches began claws and those brambles became faces of demons.

Jonathan came upon the animal, and saw the fear in it's eyes. He paused fro a moment, standing unseens but heard and smelled in the clearing as the creature writhed every which way. Then, very slowly, the barrel of his hunting rifle rose, and the next instant, the bolt slid back and a bullet was loaded into the chamber. The animal heard nothing: it only felt as Jonathan squeezed the triger, shattering the silence with a resounding report of his rifle.

Lady Mariana was becoming agitated, she could sense more people in the forest, getting nearer and nearer to her home. The trees that concealed the manor had been a sanctuary in the past. Now? With all the tourists, it was becoming more and more inconvenient to stay put. If she had to leave, it would break her heart, but it seemed like it was becoming a more likely event. The vampire could smell a man, and she headed in his direction, her body shifting into its shadow form. Rushing through the trees, she struggled to have control over her aura as her anger and frustration grew. She came upon the man as he shot a deer, her eyes watched him carefully, waiting for a moment that his guard would be down. She was angry enough to kill, and that seemed to be her intent. Once his guard was down, she'd attack him, and at the very least subdue him and feed from him. Leaving him dazed at the edge of town might leave the woman satisfied.

Waking then bolting up from hearing a gun shot her eyes widened and she trembled holding her camera. She could feel the fear and the blood pumping through her veins quickly. Adrenaline, what a cruel thing to have. She was at her fight or flight moment and upon choosing she chose flight. She stood up quickly running forward trembling yet at the same time trembling. She couldn't take it anymore the sand man had no effect on her now. The only effect that controlled her was fear, pure and cold. She ran forward even more tripping forward over something she screamed out a high pitched scream. She looked at the object she had stumbled over and screamed once more in horror to see a dead deer. She had thought someone was after her and missed shooting a deer. She looked down at the poor creature dropping her camera in shock. She then stood up not watching where she was going, and ran leaving her camera bumping into something. Oddly it was a bit warm and clothed which gave her more of a shock. She looked up in horror seeing a man with a rifle and let out another scream moving backwards quickly. She scrambled up only to trip over the deer once more this time, she hurt her ankle and cried out in pain.
"P-P-P-Please.. D-D-Don't.. K-Kill.. M-M-Me.."She blurted out looking up at the man obiviously frightened to death. She attempted to stand up and run away but cried out in pain only falling backwards her legs resting on the dead deer. She pulled her legs away quickly from being terrified from the man and the dead deer.

Looking up at the man in fear she attempted moving backwards nervously not sure of what to do. She stopped upon feeling her back press to a trunk of a tree. She could barely even breath without looking up at him in fear. She didn't know whether to think that he was following her, or even if someone hired him to kill her. Perhaps it was her Uncle Darrian, perhaps he had gotten out of jail and hired someone to kill her. She looked up into his eyes fearful from being afraid of loosing her life. She couldn't focus on anything but him. She hadn't even realized she had dropped her precious camera from being afraid. She looked up at him and trembled scared of what he might do which made her back away a bit more. She didn't know what he was but he did look one thing. Which was vicious and scary which is what she had thought. She looked him up and down curiously but out of fear from trying to figure out what he was. She moved back more her back pressing against the trunk as she looked at him the same fear that was in the deers eyes were now revealed in hers.

Jonathan had been about to go and haul the deer back to his main camp, gut the thing and cook it for dinner. However, an eerie wind blew across his face. It told of danger close by, and of a seething anger.
Jonathan was no fool. As casually as he could, he reached a hand into his coat pocket and withdrew a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. He made quite a show of lighting his cigarette, and similarly of blowing out a thin cloud of smoke.
"Sae. Ye gonna hide in da bloody shadows or ya gonna bloody fight me?" He asked nobody in particular, his hand stowing his lighter away again. "Because if so, Oi'd rather ye come and hurry dis shite up." He turned to the girl as she backed against the trunk. "Run. Quickly." He advised.

In moonlit forests I wonder to the soft sound of the moon. The lightest of songs playing through the trees as the breeze rustles their leaves. Listen... Listen... Listen to the music of the wind. Listen to the sound of the world as the goddess moon shines down upon it. Watch...Watch...Watch the willow sway and dance to the melody. Join with nature in the music of the night.

~<3 HELENA ASHELAN CRISSIS~<3

Hela had been thinking of why that poem had come to mind when she heard clapping and a young mans voice. She turned not startled but a bit surprised her hood still shadowing her face she looked at him curiously. This had not been her idea of who might live here though it had just been a guess. "Thank you." Her voice was still just barely above a whisper a gentle tone to it. She looked back at the house for a moment then back at him. "You're very smart to live out here in the forest." She simply stated this not really meaning to have a comment back to it just saying it.

Hela took down her hood deciding it would be rude of her to stay hidden underneath it. Her eyes were oddly large like a deers but a deep forest green and the looked at him with curiousness. "Hm? My name, Helena but you can call me Hel or Hela."Hela didn't see him as dangerous then again Hela didn't see a lot of things as dangerous, from bears and alligators to sitting on the edge of a cliff. She had her hands in her coat pockets standing relaxed even in the situation she was in. She had no intention of apologizing for standing there or coming to his home after all there was nothing wrong with it. As she stood there she noticed the sun was going down and she smiled lightly it shouldn't be too much longer then she would hear what she had come here for.

((Sory for the shortness the next one will be better.))

She smirked. His accent and attitude intrigued her, and excited her. “So, you're an Irishman,” Mariana's voice was a whisper, and yet almost would have echoed in his ears. “And, I'd guess, a slayer,” She added a moment later. Messing with her would be his mistake, never poke the mother bear, after all. He was calm, but still on guard. “It's been many a year since I've heard an Irish accent...such a beautiful sound in this one's opinion,” The woman stayed out of sight, slowly moving in a large circle around Jonathan. She wanted to toy with him, she felt oddly playful. She was starting to figure that maybe she was more in need of a good meal than she had thought before. “I don't quite understand why you'd come to this rotting hell hole of a country when you could be back home....” The girl by the tree didn't interest her, she'd become focused on the slayer.

>We all die, all that keeps us guessing is where and when...<

Jonathan grinned, and laughed in his throat. "Aye, oi'm a bloody Irishman. And you'd be surprised how many times a week I hear that my accent is magical or whatever nonsense that Americans want to dream up about it." He took another drag on his cigarette. "And why I'm here is me own business...although Ireland is nae exactly a bloody wonderful place to be anymair...But Oi've got a bargain faur ye, vampire...and ye might be interested..."

“I know my opinion is shared....but I doubt they have the same grounds for their appreciation as I do,” Her smile grew, but she held back the laugh that she would normally have allowed. “I will admit that I prefer a deep Hungarian voice though, if that makes you feel any less insulted,” She continued in her circle, her shadowy form making her seem invisible in the now fading light. This man could be fun to toy with, she could practically hear the pained groan he'd make as her fang-like canines sunk into the tender skin of his throat. Mariana licked her lips, listening intently to the man, mostly to his breathing. It was amazingly steady, but it made her want to break him. The vampyress wanted to make him cry and beg for his life. Still, she stayed very much in control, very focused. “A bargain? Now what could you possibly offer to me?”

Wide eyed she listened slightly then scrambled slightly over to grab her camera. She then stopped as he said Vampire and her eyes widened more. She then looked away picking it up limping slightly yet rather quickly exiting the woods rather quickly. She stumbled on to a mansion and saw a young man with a young woman. She looked away quickly before they could say anything and began to limp back down a path obiviously leading to the town. After stumbling on to the towns road, one of the residents helped her up to the local hotel. The woman cleaned her cuts as she sat there wide eyed not talking."Vampire? He must've been either crazy.. Or.. Perhaps it was true.."She thought then cried out as she touched her ankle. She then listened as she sat she fractured her ankle. She sighed softly knowing this would put her aside from the things she wished to do. She then began to wonder about that man wondering if what he said was true. She felt her heart pound and sighed figuring she might as well forgot about her problem she had tonight. Then rest up get a cast on to her leg and begin taking pictures as soon as she could. But not being able to wonder around, she sighed from the limitations she had caused and looked up at the ceiling as the woman called the doctors office for her. She then wrapped her arm around the womans shoulder hopping on her good leg sighing deeply as she did trying not to step on her fractured ankle. She didn't know what to think about what had just happened. Whether to be frightened or rather more curious to talk to the man or even perhaps seek him out.

Sitting down in the doctors office she watched as the man took old x-rays of her ankle and then held it up to the light nodding saying she fractured it in two places. She grumbled at how he said it'd probly take anywhere from 2 to 5 months to heal and glared at the x-ray looking at the fractures. She then nodded watching him place the casting material upon her ankle and sighed as soon as he was finished. She then glanced at the old wooden crutches he handed her to use and nodded thanking him then the woman. She pushed the crutches forward then swung slightly her arms hurting immediently from the rough wood. She'd have to wrap towels or something around them so it didn't hurt her so much. She sighed pushing herself to a little cafe the grumbled at how annoying it was to use crutches and just finally placed them at the door. She began to walk on her cast wincing everytime she'd step on it. She finally made her way to a table and smiled slightly sitting down ignoring the teenagers then the other people. She leaned her head back against the chair resting her foot up on the other chair glancing up as a waiter came forth to take her order since she couldn't stand at the counter.
"Oh, yes.. Um.. How about a cup of strong aged tea, with a slice of lemon and a tiny teaspoon of sugar please.."She said softly watching him nod and walk off. Though she did manage to have her eyes attracted to two young men. She blinked slightly looking at the darker skin boy curiously before at the lighter colored young men noticing they were both talking with young women. She sighed softly pulling her eyes away staring up at the ceiling. Her friends had already had boyfriends and were already making plans to get married. Perhaps, was she not attractive like most girls? Or was it, her interest in photography and traveling that drove them away? Though she really hadn't talked much about settling down with anyone. She always did have boyfriends, but wasn't really serious about their relationships like others were. Perhaps did that make her a bad girlfriend? Or merely just a free spirited person that had their own will upon their love?

x~.~.Daily Quote.~.~x

What you lost sight of, is your way back home.
What you can't keep, is the promise you made me.
What you can not erase, is my memory.
Eye opening chapter of my life, the memory.

"Your life." He answered smoothly. "Now, that was me last normal round, what went into that deer there." His hand suddenly shot out to the side, and aimed the hunting rifle at Mariana's chest. "The rest o' dem are silver incindiary rounds I picked up before leavin' Belfast...light anything that they touch on fire..." He took another dragon on his cigarette. "Now, if you'll be a good little undead wench and crawl back tae da big mansion over da dere, then I'll just drag me deer back to me camp and have some dinner and we cna forget this evening ever happened. If not...well, I'm sure you've watched a movie da Vietnam War: you know what happens when you get lit on fire."

Lady Mariana Brouquette

“You'd just come back tomorrow....you know where my home is, you ought to know I can't let you live, mon ami,” Her old French accent rose to the surface for a moment. Mariana locked eyes with his, predatory orbs staring into his eyes. “You ought to know I'll move before you have a chance to shoot, it's really not very hard to do,” Her shadowy form faded, and she let the man see her. “I'd ask you to give me your word to never show your face here again, but I doubt your word is worth much,” The woman said simply, suddenly moving to his other side and away from his gun. But, she paused without completing the usual follow-through, where she'd grab the hand that held the gun and twist his arm up behind his back. If he aimed at her again, she would, knowing she could move before he could shoot. Being an older vampire came with more increased speed than that of the younglings, and it was useful. Lady Mariana was fully capable of defending her coven, even if she was merely a woman.
