The endless wasteland. Supposedly, it was oncea fertile and beautiful place- trees and grass stretched as far as the eye could see, beautiful gleaming buildings and cities, lkes an rivers. Now it was a desert, sandy and arid. Of course, small villages and towns could survive in the wasteland, but most human lived in colonies now, domed, climate controlled zones for them to stay safe, protected and run by the New Earth Federation.
For two years, a revolution had been growing, a terrorist orginization had been attempting to overthrow the government, that was the official story, but they had been oddly silent recently, and partialy, that worried Treis. While Treis was glad that, for now, the Revolutionaries had stopped thier attacks, but the commander couldn't help feeling as if this was the calm before the storm.
But he had more important things to worry about now. This small town was being attacked, the subject of multiple raids from wastelanders who had managed to refit old, discarded mobile arms. It happened all to often, and Treis couldn't always protect everyone... but when he could...
adjusting his glasses with two fingers, the sun glinting off of them, he saw a cloud of dust rising in the distance, sitting atop the shoulder of the Gouh unit. That would be the enemy. definitly. One hand brushed back windswept blonde hair, a breeze whipping a bloack jacket, as treis jumped, entering into the cockpit of the Gouh. going through startup procedure, he activated a small comink
"Iris, what do we have?"
the voice on the other end of the communications link belonged to his AI partner, Iris. When she couldn't fly by him in the Blue Eagle, she worked through it's satelite uplink to give him a real time feed of the battlefield.
"O~Hai~o Treis-kun! yes, I have a visual with the satelite uplink- three Mobile Arms, they're oooooold models, refitted with repaired junk weapons. To be honest, you should be able to take all three by yourself and arrest them, even without my help."
"Thank you Iris."
As the small catgirl's picture blinked off, Treis activated the unit, the Gouh dashing forward, lifting off the ground slightly. Treis custom Gouh was in the works, but this was the prototype, designed to be faster and lighter armed, for quicker strikes. He met the enemy head on, sword out, and cut it off at the lake, moving straight through with one slash, bringing the unit down. Energy blades were drawn, but Treis' reaction time was oosted thank's to Iris letting him know what was going on outside his field of vision
"To the left!"
"Got it!"
the blade came up, cutting the refitted unit's arm off at the elbow, a second slash taking the head off the unit, disabling optics. This gave Treis time to engage the third, clashing with it's energy blade, using his superior unit's strength to push back, breaking the clash and bringing his beam cannon to bear, firing straight through the shoulder to bring it down, crushing the ead to disable it. A final strike with the sword disabled his first and original target, and after that a kick knocked down the second one. All three units were down for the count, and he nodded.
"Mission complete. All three units down and ready for pickup and arrest. Send a transport."
"Hai Treis-kun! Good job!"
