Have you ever had the feeling that what you are currently going through...is a dream?

Ever wondered why you had those feelings?

Why they appeared out of nowhere?

How some people have given you those feelings?

Well, simple. It's because there is no such thing as reality.

Reality is a word. Something to make human beings feel as if they are alone in the world.

Well, this may come as a shock. Human's are always being watched. Watched by whom? Well, they like to be called Immortals. However, they are not. Just simply living in a location where time no longer exist. These Immortals appear ever so often. And when they do, reality no longer applies. They live in a mansion. Their sanctuary as they like to call it. Inside the Sanctuary, everything is nothing. Up is down and down is up. Left is right, right is left. Reality is fantasy and fantasy is reality.

What happens when you enter their humble ambode? I must warn you though, you must never enter. Because once you do...You will never get out. The house has a mind of it's own. And because the Immortals are trapped for oh so many centuries, these Immortals like to feed on their guests. They make sure they are comfortable, feeding them, bathing them, protecting them, and practically loving them. This takes place for days and when thier sweet, lovable guests decide it's time to go, well, it's time for dinner. What's for dinner? Well...guess.

But this year will be different. Every century, they invite thousands of guests to attend their home. Only so very few arrive. And out of those few...one will be lucky enough to be excluded from joining the meal. But in doing so, he shall become family. It's not a pretty process.
Now, it is almost time for their Sanctuary to appear.
It is almost time for reality to become a thing of the past.
It is almost time for you to choose whether or not you want to enter the mansion.

E X P L A N A T I O N __________X

Walk-In's - People who are just posting without a profile. Those whose are just visiting and are planning on popping in on random occassions

House- Once you enter the house, I am afraid you can't leave. See, the house has a mind of it's own. Mind you, you can control it for now till more people join. The house will never let you leave. You can go out through the back door towards the pool and conservatory area but that's part of the house too. More like a dream you can't wake up from.

Romance- You can fall in love with family members or with guests. Yatta yatta yatta

Fights- Once further into the rp, the guests can finally realize what they walked into and fight against the creatures or the family. Read battel rules

Purpose- An inn with a little twist on it's host and guests =]

Posts- Make it pretty if ya want I dont care. Just as long as it has more than 3 sentences.

There is no general exit once you set foot into the Sanctuary. All you can do is hope and survive as long as you can. The main even will not occur unless both Misstress and Master are currently occupying the residence. So for now, you are safe. Till then, you can do what you wish. Flirth, laugh, play, love, eat, cause a riot, fight against the house hold members, etc. Crush through the Immortals cold stoned hearts and you may have a chance. Or you can fight through them by shere force in hopes of destroy every last one of them.
Survive and find your way back to reality before it's too late.
Can you do that?
Or will fantasy end your venture before it has even begun?
Or will everyone just vanish?

The occupents of the household are no longer human. They are creatures beyond your wildest belief. One's you have deemed to be fictional. Some say they are vampires but oh they are wrong. Vampires just suck the blood out of your body till you no longer have enough to fill a pea. No, these occupants eat you whole. Piece by piece. Your body does not go to waste. Even your bones are used as decorations or shredded for something else. These creatures leave no trace of you behind. And they will show no mercy to no one. They will love none but their family. Their family comes first. Their mother and father comes first. And this year, they will choose one guest out of the many who have been invited, to become part of their family. And you have no choice into becoming one of their family. They don't give you an option.

I don’t know where everyone is, what should I do?
Ask. It is simple as sending someone online a PM asking for an update. We don't bite.

How do I know where to put my character?
In most cases, all interaction is open unless DND (do not disturb) is posted, so you can either post by yourself or jump on in with others.

I missed 10+ pages of RP, do I have to read them all?
Yes and No. We reccomend a process known as 'skimming', it prevents any nasty clashes in plot. Or just post in the OOC for someone to give ya a summary (I recommend that one but who knows...we all might be azzwipes)

I have to go, may not be back very soon, and my character is still with a group. What should I do?
You can get your character out of the way or you can give permission for godmodding so the character will follow around and do obvious things, nothing interesting.

My partner logged off, leaving my character frozen, and I want to keep RPing. What should I do?
You can wait for them to resurface, you can post your character thoughts and feelings on the situation you are stuck in or you can politely move on, but keep a path open for the logged player to follow if they wish.

What time is it in the RP?
A lot of the players work on their own sort of time line. It is entirely up to you and the people you're interacting with.

Can I control NPCs?
If they only affect your character and not someone else’s unless they are OK with it.

Can I affect objects, trees and such? (Make them shatter, burn, etc.)

Can I organize and host an event?
Yes, and it's encouraged. However, if the event is big and could delay or affect other characters greatly, please consult F l o o f e h - c h a n first.

Can I make my character lose an eye, an arm or a leg, etc.?
Your character is yours to control. Albeit, realise that some disablities will greatly affect your posting. Also, if you loose a limb (etc) you cannot have it magically reappear whenever you like. Let's keep reality.

Do I have to send in a profile?
Unless you are a family member of the sanctuary or planning on staying with us for a long while, if not just post.

What is the with the amount of OOC talk and arguments?
We are one big dysfunctional role playing family - no family is perfect.

If you have stumbled upon Sanctuary one would suppose that fate had guided you there for rarely is the mansion located by those who are not in need of the protection and refuge that its walls offer. The dense forest surroundings open onto the wide plateau that the building is situated upon, a set of steps leading up to the large double doors, always unlocked so that if thrust open one can immediately slip into the safety guard of the entrance hall. A set of double staircases lead upwards onto the second and third floors respectively where rooms are located for those who are wishing to reside there for whichever amount of time they deem fit, and the larger east and west wing suites. However, the first floor also offers a wide selection of rooms that may interest, including; a conservatory, a library and a large lounge where is focal point for the inhabitants of the mansion as they go about their daily duties. Off the lounge is a bar and extending from that a kitchen, always fully stocked and emitting delicious scents that will enthrall the senses. Near the kitchen of course, the dining room shall be located. You dont want to miss that do you. If you head out the back entrance, located passed the conservatory, you will come face to face with the large pool we have taken large measures in keeping clean. Of course, each floor is host to a labyrinth of corridors and rooms that one would have to explore for themselves, to fully come to know the mansion…
But then...no one really does. Our humble abode may just want to play little games with your mind. Becareful not too loose your room. Sometimes, you might just have to chase it.

There are some people who live in a dream world
And there are some who face reality

Amaranth was walking down the halls of her home. It wasn't much but it was where she lived. Hell, ok that was a lie. It was alot! More rooms than you can count, a lounge, pool, bar, conservatory, suites, etc! What more can a girl ask for? She'll come back to you on that one. Her gold eyes traced the pattern of every wall and furniture. She was looking for something. Or someone. She never knew. But all she knew was that her tummy ached. Oh she was hungry.
"Mother! Father! Are you here?!" she shouted. Her voice flowed out like honey. So sweet and so soft. There was no reply however. Apparently, the hosue was empty. But she must hurry. The guests might arrive soon. And the inn keepers were no where in sight. Her heels clicked on the floor as she ran downstairs and wait by the door. She can't wait to meet who shall arrive!

"How interesting," someone muttered. On his shoulder, he carried a brown duffle bag, containing his clothes for the next few days. In his right hand, he held a white envolope, containing the invitation that was the reason of his presence in front of the large estate. Dressed casually, the 19 year old male walked towards the door. His name was Zane. Zane Mickickle Lonehart. Yes, strange name. Sounded like someone was just throwing in some random letters. To be honest, that's exactly what happened.

He waited a few seconds, examined the door with curiosity fully distinguishable in his eyes, before knocking loudly. "Am I early?" he said to no one. He even wondered if he was to stay long in this place. If he was...then what the heck. Free food, spa, services, whatever they had to offer. That's what the invite said and he was going to take it. Besides, his old folks back home didn't mind. They wanted 'alone' time and god forbid he was anywhere near them.
