When you've walked through the fires of hell, and the flames have licked your face...
User Image

He walked around the 69 Z/28 and had his arms crossed deep in thought. His dogs stood up and looked out the bay door as a pair of headlights lit the shop up. He turned around hearing his dogs walking and walked out to see. It was the Heidi girl. "Why do you knock on the door?" He said looking at her from the darkness of the shop and stood there looking at her.

He waved her inside as the big baby Dutchess cowered by her master's side as he rubbed the side of her massive head and said, "Calm down you big baby..." He knew his dog had nothing to worry about...he could kill anyone in this world and sleep like a baby that night...no questions asked. And Heidi wouldn't be an exception if she messed with him, his dogs, or his cars...

User Image It was a typical quiet, dark, and dismal night in the peaceful town of Olivette. The orange glow of brightly lit street lamps reflected off of the open smooth asphalt of the empty streets and nothing but silence filled in the scene of stereotypical suburbia. However, what citizens believed to be a tranquil and calm night, was only the beginning and opening hours of another world about to awake. In the isolated industrial district on the outskirts of town, music was blasting as a line of cars were gathered in and around a five story parking garage. Lights and lasers flashed from the inside, as crowds of people were crowded together, jumping and dancing to the set of an up and coming DJ rising through the ranks. This is where the story begins.

With a set of monitor headphones hanging around his neck, Chase's focus was on the pair of turntables in front of him, prepping to drop the final song to close off his set so the next DJ could perform. "Ace, you got five to close out then Castlevania is up. Let's wrap it up!" the stage manager was saying to Chase. Nodding, he shuffled through his box of records, searching for the right track set off the crowd in a pandemonium and finish off his set. Smirking in approval as he came across just the song Chase, placed the vinyl onto the turntable. He wouldn't have much time before the break would come and hurried to match the bpms of the records spinning, finding the exact moments in the song in which he wanted to play. The hard electronic beats culminating in an epic climax, Ace found the transition point and switched the sound from one turntable to the other.

A perfect transition as the crowd screamed, jumping, dancing, letting out all the energy from their peak of ecstasy, the hard aggressive beats of Bloody Beetroots ft. Steve Aoki - Warp 1.9 blasted off the speakers. Celebrating with the crowd, Chase took off his shirt swinging it in the air before tossing it out to the crowd to a lucky girl who caught it, hugging it as a memorable souvenir. After collecting his records and equipment, he left the stage giving the next DJ a nod and smile. "Great set Ace, that last track was nasty!" said stage manager. "Thanks," Chase replied and quickly exited the stage for the arrival of Le Castlevania. Carrying his crate of vinyl record and equipment, Ace headed out to his car passing a crowd of people who were cheering, giving him pats on the back for the epic party. Smiling he nodded, took out the keys to his FD, and opened the passenger side door, dropping the crate of records into the floor. Reaching inside for a bottle of water, Ace took a break from the excitement of the party, leaning up against the rear quarter panel letting out a sigh before the familiar sound of particular six cylinder echo in the distance. Smirking he thought, "Heh...at it again Step?"

Heidi smiled and walked over to the guy looking down at the dog and smiling. She loved dogs...but small furry ones. She wasn't a big fan of big ones...even though she liked them nonetheless, mostly because big ones were always alot of trouble, and she was too small to control them.

"Oh Hey. Sorry about crashing in like this." She apologized, "And for crashingi n on your race...I was curious..." She added and shrugged walking in next to him and glancing at his cowering dog. "She's pretty." She pointed out and then shrugged again. "So...uhm...You know...you told me to come back...and here I am" She said trying to seem happy. He however didn't seem too happy. "I'm sorry about your car.." She added pointing at the Ford.

The masked man turned around and looked at Heidi before saying, "It's just a car...it can and will be fixed...I'll order the new trans tommarow and have it in by the weekend..." He pulled the cuff up on his button down shirt and looked at the time. "Actually I believe I said, 'I have somewhere I need to be if you wish to continue this conversation come back in an hour..." He chuckled and walked back over to his bar.

He motioned to a stool where she sat before and the glass of water.

Heidi tilted her head and gave him an innocent smile, she walked over to the counter and the stool where she had been sitting before and climbed on to it, letting her legs and feet hang loosely, because it relaxed the musceles stressed by her high heels. And even though she was already used to high heels, she liked the feeling of unstress on her calves.
"So where did we leave off, remind me?" She asked twirling the glass in which now was nothing but melted ice which was cold water now, but she kept twirling it, just for her entertainment. "Ah Yes. You were about to reveal to me if you were a real lady killer, or...the misunderstood masked hero of the story" Heidi said licking her lower lip.

`Officer Adam Crawford`

Adam was playing drums with the steering wheel of Lovely. Yeah he had arrived at the Garage, the one where Erika's car was and now Zu's too...Mike had been dropped off a while back and he had been sitting out in the lot, but just thinking of going in there and facing Erika again...well, half of him didn't want to face the wrath of satan...the other half, just wanted to run in there and give her the money he had won so she could fix up her car good....but then again that wasn't going to happen, especially because Erika was such a proud woman....wouldn't even accept his kiss was amazing...tch.
SO there he was, indecisevly tapping on the steering wheel of his car and not knowing whether or not he should venture forth, and then chief called in on his radio.
"Crawford?"
"Yo."
'What have I told you about replying like that?"
'Uh...c'mon old man you gotta get down with it" Adam said smirking
"Shut up. Did you take care of the race? What about Mike?"
"Well Mike's been dropped off safely, as well as his car, and now I'm just sitting around, why you got something interesting?"
"Yeah, I hear your sector has planned a fake arrest, perhaps we could get that into motion tonight...there is a new scene in town...its a garage club....Perfect paradise for drugs and cars. Why don't you and Miss E check it out?"
"Sure thing, Over." Adam said and dropped his hands, "If she doesn't castrate me first..." Adam added quietly getting off his car and beeping it before walking into the garage where he supposed Erika was.

((Out4Blood, we're trying to revive this again..Katie suggested that maybe Adam and Erika will hit the club your charries are in? I hope this helps a bit...didn't mean to not reply when you did, I guess it just went into a sort of temp. Hiatus, lots of things been going on! and We'll see what happens!))

The Kommandant laughed as he reached into the fridge and below the red metal box with his drugs in it, was a cardboard box. He reached in and pulled out a dark long neck bottle, 'Creamy dark Lager' by the Lienenkugel brewing company. He put the bottle on the bar and closed the fridge before looking at her.

"...I would probally say I am neither..." His goggles looking at her. "I am probally the...odd...psychotic villian of the picture..." He rolled up the sleeves of the red button down shirt to his elbows, some of his tattoos exposed. And leaned on the bar, "After all... How could I be a hero in the SS?"

Heidi watched him, her eyes glazing over that red box for a second before it turned onto the bottle fromt he other box, she shrugged and watched him carefully then leaned over on the counter, she let her forefinger trace her lowerlip then stop at her cheek.
"Well, for one you are quite odd....but for two...you've given me no reason other than your odd fashion sense to believe your psychotic, and for three...Villain? You know most of the time the villains are hotter than the heroes" Heidi laughed lightly then tiltied her head. "You know the fact that you're part of the SS doesn't mean that you can't be a good person.." Heidi leaned in a bit more keeping her bright grey eyes on his goggles. "Can't I even see your eyes?" she asked innocently

"Don't try to trick me... I said there has to be something worth my while to show my face..." He said and his hand opened the beer, he wouldn't drink it now. He just liked his beer warm, besides he couldn't with her there.

"On the contrary..." He said and walked around the bar and leaned on the back of the Camaro and said, "You don't get into the SS by helping old ladies and giving to the poor..." He walked over to her and said, "What is the real reason you want to see my face? You want to tell the police what the Kommandant looks like? Or even the enemies of the SS?" He wanted to know, none of this 'I'm curious' crap...

His goggles looked at her and he said, "I don't mean to threaten you...one of my runners was shot this afternoon and now I need someone to take his place...things are just a little out of sync right now..."

"Trick you?" Heidi sighed frowned and leaned back on her stool. She wasn't trying to trick him,s he really just wanted to see what his face looked like. "Of course you don't get inot the SS by helping old ladies, Mr. Sarcastic, I'm not saying you're a saint, I just believe there's a bit of good in all of us...>what? Police? Ha!" Heidi said rolling her eyes. "You interest me. You know that? There's some sort of fascination I have derived from you just because you're so cold and apart and...odd...I would not gain anything by turning you in first of all...secondly, if you didn't notice, it is my best interest to stick with the SS because they've been paying my college fees. Third of all....I want to see your face because...well I want to know what you look like....I do!" She persisted. It was actually the truth...would he believe it though? She doubted that and her heart sank. Ah well...

He looked at her with his arms crossed over his chest and said, "Really...paying for your college fund..." He walked around the bar and said, "Who might be paying for your college fund?" The Kommandant was in charge of the drug activity in this part of town, hence his nickname 'Kommandant' meaning commander. "The good part of me died when I watched the life drain out of my love's killer's eyes...and when he begged me for mercy and I told him this was mercy compared to what I wanted to do..."

He chuckled and reached behind his head and pulled his visor cap off, laying it on the bar. He looked at her though the goggles while the rest of his head lay covered in silk and mask. He took the goggles off and stared at her, his eyes seeing the light of the night. His eyes were pale blue, almost gray they were so pale. They held a hard look to them, like a man who had seen many evil things in his life, and they were all captured for eternity in his eyes. The rest of his face covered by the mask and the silk. He looked at her with his real eyes and said, "So far am what you expect?"

"Yes. College fund." Heidi laughed jokingly. "I run a few errands, look pretty, drop some flags, you know...when I can't race, but when I can that helps too...." Heidi explained. "And the money helps me pay for college...its expensive you know," She chuckled then yawned and in doing so closed her bright grey eyes shut. When she opened them though, his goggles were gone and she squeaked delighted staring at his seemingly pained eyes for a few moments, with her own eyes, which were the complete opposite to his, his held some sort of pained look something she couldn't put her finger on quite, most probably because she really hadn't ever had it tough, and so her grey eyes held nothing but desire to live and a little shine in them that his lacked, because she was still so fresh to life and life had been kind to her as of now....Somewhat...not counting having to deal with all those perverts at the diner and having nothing to pay college with, but she was getting around. Heidi leaned her elbow on the counter and her cheek on her hand.
"Are you what I expect so far? Well, Yes. You're human, and that's good" She said softly pursing her lips. "And that wasn't so bad now, was it? I like your eyes." She continued. "You know that's enough to satisfy me for right now..." She said offering him a sweet smile. "I know that you don't trust me enough to take the rest of your mask off...but eventually! Eventually, I'll get to see the face belonging to those melancholy eyes of yours" Heidi proclaimed with another sweet laugh.

User ImageThe night was cold, the air crisp, and the stage set for unexpected surprises laid hidden in the shadows. The only light that existed in the area came from street lamps and whatever few cars were on the road at that time. The atmosphere was calm and tranquil yet too peaceful of a sight that it was almost deceiving. Suddenly the silence is broken by the sound of a turbo diesel engine and a pair of headlights rushing forward on a long straight three-lane expressway. A gust of wind blows by and the one-ton pickup truck with a four inch lift kit passes overhead. Just then a pearl white NSX leading a white Porsche GT3 speed by in a dead on top speed sprint passing the pickup on either side, leaving a red glow of taillights trailing behind in their wake. This is where we begin.

The sound of trance music filled in the atmosphere as the red luminescent glow of the digital clock reading 4:32 flashed from the center console. The scene appeared to be rather calm with the exception of the pair of brown eyes narrowed in staring intensely out onto the road ahead of him. Traveling at a speed 280+km /h the road ahead looked like a blur of lights and lines as the few cars that were being passed, seemed to be getting slower and slower by the passing second. Listening to Armin van Buuren's - A State of Trance 425, the track Above & Beyond - Anjunabeach (Jerome Isma-Ae Remix) started to play off of the Alpine SPX-177R 61⁄2” Type X Components 2ways speakers, the bass from the Alpine SWX-1042D 10” Type X Series Subwoofers made the cockpit rattle and roll.

Approaching a set of curves in the road, a hand reaches for the Honda NSX-R shift knob and moves down from sixth to fifth gear upon entering, while turning Sparco 330mm steering wheel to the right, causing the white NSX to swoop in from the far left, cross three lanes and take the inside corner, hitting the apex of the turn, while a steady trained foot finesses the throttle giving the perfect balance of power to traction ratio throughout the turn. Exiting he stays in fifth gear counter steering nicely while the rival GT3 struggles to keep up. Glancing behind him into the rear view mirror, the image of the headlights of the GT3 starts to fade away, falling behind by a good five car lengths in distance as the NSX speeds forward and takes the next off ramp exit.

Flying down the off ramp the mysterious white NSX crosses the intersection just before the light turns red. Turning left at the next block and then a sudden right, the C32B motor lets out a high pitched scream culminating in a crescendo of screeching tires, white smoke erupting in the air and the entire area smelling like burnt rubber, as the widebody NSX spins out performing a brilliant donut in front of a crowd of cheering spectators outside of a parking garage party. Moments later the white GT3 appears and pulls up in front of the NSX coming to a hault. The door of the NSX opens and a man wearing a black, grey, and white argyle print v-neck sweater over a white buttoned down collar shirt whose cuffs and tails were slightly sticking out appears. His black Armani slacks fit perfectly, along with the gator skinned Ferragamo belt and Kenneth Cole shoes makes for nicely done accessories. The stainless steel Capeman S watch is the crown jewel of his outfit that perfectly sums up the appearance next to the black silk Versace tie hidden under the sweater and collar of the shirt which is the finishing touch of his look.

Walking forwards meeting the driver of the GT3, it is obvious this guy is no scrub, but comes from a wealthy background. "Your horse please, as we agreed," the driver of the NSX says politely in a serene apathetic tone of voice. "Oh come on, this is bullshit that race wasn't even fair!" the other man of the GT3 retorts in a angered and high tempered fashion. Raising and eyebrow at the driver of GT3 he responds back, "Maybe next time you should choose your battles wisely, your horse please!" With a hand extended out expecting the rival driver to hand over his golden horse, the driver of the GT3 reluctantly walks back to his car and grabs a small golden horse handing it to he driver of the NSX. Grinning back at the driver of the GT3, he replies in a smug tone, "Thank you, it's been a pleasure." Turning around and walking back to his car, the driver of the GT3 reveals a wrench hidden up his sleeve and is about to attack the victor walking back to the NSX. Cocking his arm back for the wind up it seemed like the driver of the NSX had no clue what was about to happen.

Suddenly the image of his body flickers, leaving a sort afterimage of himself standing in front as the other man swing the wrench right through the image, hitting nothing but air falling to the ground. Just then another flicker and the driver of the NSX reappears behind the driver of the GT3, towering over him as the other is laying on the floor. Baffled and stunned by the speed and intuition of the driver of the NSX an expression of shock is displayed on the driver of the GT3's face as he remains silent. "Don't make things harder on yourself, I can predict your movements before you even think about them. Resistance is futile, just accept defeat," he says in a arrogant elitist manner before kicking the wrench out of the mans hand. Walking back to his car, he opens the door, tosses the golden trinket into the passenger seat, and gets inside before the rival driver calls out and asks, "Wait a second, what's your name...I don't even know who you are!" Glancing back at the man still lying on the floor whose spirit was broken and pride shattered the driver of the NSX replies, "My name is Saito Shinamuri, but you can refer to me as Step." Closing the door, he starts up the engine, and within second disappears around the corner, the distinct sound of his C32B engine trailing off into the distance.

~~ Erika Malone ~~

The usual scene was fairly dead, at least to Erika. After her talk with Catalina, she had been approached by someone she didn't really recognize. He had given her the name of someone to talk to about becoming a runner. The name was "Kommandant" and the added phrase he put with it was "fat chance". Still, that was better than no chance at all and she would have to take it as such. At least having a name was a start to trying to get deeper into the group. Tracking the "Kommandant" down, though? No hints. According to Catalina's description, the guy was elusive and large. Right. Like that helped anything. Erika wasn't sure how one could be large and hard to find at the same time, unless he was a hermit. That was possible. Nobody would offer anymore information, though, so she left it at that. The woman put her helmet back on, mounted her bike and took off away from the open scene. Her first thought was to go back home, put on some sweats and watch a movie or something but she figured she might get some more work done on her car, or at least sit there and listen to music or something.

She took the long way around to the garage, even stopping to grab some snacks and a soda a few blocks away from the garage. The yellow Yamaha came to a stop right beside the last car she wanted to see. Erika pulled off her helmet and glared over at Lovely. If she knew Adam was going to be there, she wouldn't have bothered showing up. If she wanted to, she could actually put her helmet on, turn around and leave but she was already there. Maybe he actually wasn't there and his car was only sitting outside.... She grabbed the bag from the convenient mart with one hand, her helmet in the other and walked up to the garage door. She tested the knob, which was unlocked, cursed and opened the door, walking in. Like a perfect nightmare, there was Adam. "What the hell are you doing here?"

Adam had his head under the hood of Erika's car. For one getting the hood open with the way the body was beat up was already hard enough, and keeping it open with that stick thingy was twice as hard, but Adam finally managed, and was working on going over what still worked and what didn't under the beat up hood. THe body would be easier to fix. The hardest thing to fix though would be his friendship with the woman. At first he had been a bit relieved that Erika had not been in the garage, at least they weren't going to shout and fight, but afterwards, when he had gotten down to work, he sank into a sort of solitude that kept reminding him of the days that had passed and most of all, his damaged friendships, whether it be because someone got shot, kidnapped or because he was enough of a douchebag to kiss a girl who was offlimits to begin with. Suck. Adam leaned in a bit more into the hood to check the pipework. Then came the snappy voice of the woman he most dreaded to see echoing through the dark, so suddenly that he jumped up, squealed and hit his head on the crunched up hood that in turn lost its balance from the thingy that was holding it up and fell right on him giving him enough time to pull his head out but not his left hand which was smashed up.
"s**t! Son of a b***h! ******** ******** ********!" Adam cursed unjamming the hood quickly again and pulling his sore hand, he shook it a bit to get the circulation back into it and try to alleviate the pain and then he turned to Erika. "What am I doing here? Oh you know...playing Hide and seek with Mike. Yeah that's what I'm doing." He snapped irritated, not exactly at her but because it was her fault his hand got trapped in the door and the pain was making him snap. "I just came over to check over your hood...but you weren't here so I went right ahead and did it anyways. Chief found us a new checkpoint by the way" Adam said still shaking his hand and leaning on the grey car and looked at her. "And We're down one cop again....Mike's car got beat up...." Adam informed looking away to the side. He didn't want to mention anything from the earlier scene....
