Kiwari lifted her head, muzzle opening in a wide yawn. She stood, stretching out her front paws and digging her claws into the dirt beneath her. with a rough shake of her fur, she dislodged the dirt and grass from her coat, letting it fluff out a bit to disguise her sickly slimness. She looked around the dens, ears perking at the sounds of newborn pups. Her tail wagged slowly, a bounce in her step as she trot away from the dens, but remained in sight of them. she was sniffing around some bushes for a few moments before she suddenly froze. Only her tail twitched a little. She stood like that for a moment before jumping into a bush, only her back legs and tail visible as the bush jerked and shook as Kiwari snapped at something. SHe pulled out soon afterward, a small squirrel in her jaws. Kiwari looked around at the others again, sneaking under a tree, which happened to be near the upsilon dens. With a slight smile at the new Iotas, Kiwari slowly tore the squirrel open. She ate the animal slowly, not wanting to upset her stomach. She also wanted to be careful for those pesky little bones.

Hohaku tilted his head as she spoke of Noelle being the Elite Sigma. He was surprised that she had gained such a rank. He felt himself frown within as she spoke highly of hersel, a bad move, but then again it was good to be confident, there was nothing wrong with having self-confidence. His body tensed as he saw an unknown wolf move in front of Shula. He was quite familiar, but Hohaku never bothered to intervene, this was their issue, it was better not to get in the middle of it. As soon as things got slightly worse he stepped between the two. Being a Mackenzie Valley Wolf, a much larger subspecies ofbthe Grey Wolf, Hohaku towered over Coba, and almost reaching Shula's height. "Enough Shula..." He spoke, his voice harsh as he felt his fur bristle. It was like pup-sitting all over again. "I never wished to return to such arguments...so please do stop" He turned to the fae and nodded. "I forgive you for your greeting and as for your wish to join, that would be up yo Rhea or whomever is in charge" He turned back to the two and sighed. "I am no Beta and I am no Gamma, but even they can tell you, you are acting like pups...if you have an issue about the Elite Sigma rank, then speak to the Alphess about it..." He sighed, lowering his head as he shook it slightly. He was still young and able to find a mate, yet he felt as if he spoke like an old wolf. Turning to Coba he nodded. "Yes...it has..." He turned to Shula and nodded, hoping she'd calm down and lead them back to the dens. "Let us go to the dens...and would any of you two please fill me in to previous events...I want to know what has happened and I will tell you of my disappearing...as you can see Eliza is not with me and I shall tell you what happened to her when I tell you my story, if you wish to hear it that is" He said, followed y a soft, tired sigh before his hazel eyes looked from Shula to Coba, hoping they would not snap at one another once again. Shane

There came a time in every young wolf's life when they had to decide whether they would stay in their birth packs forever, or leave and find his/her own way in life. Now at one year old, Shane decided it was his time to decide. Lately, unknown to everyone in the pack, Shane had been running off to meet with a lone Fae, at first they were just friends but now their relationship was growing into something much more... The two had dreams of starting a pack together and living their own life with their own rules... It was the classic love story. Shane was young, still considered a pup.. But he knew he was old and mature enough to leave, if that's what he wanted, which it was. With a sigh, Shane got to his paws and made his way over to the Kappa's den, where he knew his father was still recovering. "Dad..." He sat down near the sleeping form of Vail. It didn't take long for the Elite to react, raising his head he looked up at his son, lips smacking dryly. "Shane?" He questioned, Shane nodded. "Dad.. I know you're injured and this may not be the best time to talk to you about this... But... I want to leave Archon, I want to become an Alpha!" He announced proudly. Vail stared at him for a long moment, ears slowly flipping backwards. "You are only an Iota, Shane." "I know, but it is warmer now, I will probably find another pack to live in until I am two, or I will just start my own... I know I can do it, but I cant live in Archon any longer, I know that's not what I am meant to do... You understand, right?" He whined and laid down next to Vail, fearing his father would be angry at him. Vail gave a deep sigh and in the first time in many days, sat up. "I understand, I often wonder what I would have been able to accomplish if I had left Archon when I was younger... Though I dont regret my decision, just a thought I have through time to time... If this is what you want, Shane, I will not try and stop you... I knew at least one of my pups would leave someday... And yet I was not quite prepared." The large brute whined himself, head dropping sadly. Shane gave another whine and leaned against his father. "I will be forever loyal to Archon, one day I'll return with my pack and maybe we'll merge or become allies!" Vail smirked, "You've got big ambitions." "Well, so did you." "That's true..." The two brutes sat together for a long time before Vail finally broke the silence. "Have you spoken to your brothers and sisters... And mother?" Shane shook his head slowly, "No... I'm scared they'll be angry." Vail raised his head, "You cant be scared, you must be sure of your decisions, or else you will not make it as an Alpha." Shane thought about it for a moment before nodding. "You're right, I'll say goodbye before I leave." Vail nodded. The two looked at each other for a moment before Shane pushed himself up against Vail, his neck wrapping around his in a sort of wolf embrace. Vail stared forward, ears fallen. He gave his son a lick to the side of the head before raising his paw and roughly, but playfully, pushing him away. "Get moving." Shane smirked and nodded. "Alright!" He answered them raced off, leaving Vail staring out the Kappa's den. "Good luck, son."

Shane went around the densite, finding all his siblings and informing them of leaving, he embraced them all then went to his mother, having a similar talk with her as he did with Vail, he then left and joined up with his mate to be, together they left Archon's territory in search of their own, both young and inexperienced... But with good instincts, together they would grow up strong and achieve their goal of making a pack... It would forever remain small but large enough to sustain itself... Shane still never forgot his promise to Vail, to someday return to Archon.

₪ ── As time passed, Phyre grew more bold to leave her mother's side. The small fae was an ecstatic little thing after all and unlike her siblings, her thoughts did not center upon feeding. She ignored her hunger, more curious of the outside world and she followed her nose, sniffing deeply. Almost all her siblings had already opened their eyes by now and she was last to do so. But as the scent of the world grew stronger with every breathe she took, her eyes cracked open to peer in to the dizzying blur of the world at large. Her vision steadily growing as she gaze up upon her mother's face and her small tail wagged furiously, yipping quietly up at her mother before her nose was shoved downward.

₪ ── Thus began her exploration of the den itself. Her ears perking to the sound of another's voice, the scent of another that so closely resembled her mother's. Phyre's nose wrinkled up and she careened her neck upwards, left and right, looking about and inhaling deeply as she tried to spot and focus upon this new person. The fae huffed lightly, pushing herself to her feet, bold as always as she marched forward on short stubby legs, heading for the general direction of the scent.

Willow made sure to nuzzle and lick her pups reassuring, the move was probably very stressful for them, she couldn't begin to imagine how frightened they would of been... Especially Palom, the pup was still making loud alarm calls and refused to eat or sleep. "Hush, Palom, we don't want anyone coming to the den, yet..." She tried to reason with the pup, but it was useless, he couldn't understand what she was saying. Willow sighed and left her son to cry, seeing as how she couldn't console him, which upset her slightly. Willow's ears perked as Veer dropped the rabbit down the den, her eyes widening and tongue moving around her muzzle, she was starving, like usual. "Thank you, Veer..." She wanted to offer him some, but she just couldn't bring herself to do it, she was far too hungry. Grabbing the rabbit, Willow brought it safely down into the den and began tearing it open, all the while Palom continued crying and was even growling out of frustration. Occasionally Willow would glance in his direction, but there was little she could do until he calmed. "You should get something to eat too, Veer." She suggested as she ripped another chunk of the rabbit off.

Velren had been sticking close to the pups den lately, even though he was now two years old, nearly full grown and a full member of the pack, he liked the comfort and security of the pups den, leaving it for the main den would be a hard change... But it didn't seem he was packing up anytime soon. Velren grumbled and rolled onto his back, his paw moving as he ran his claws against his chest, to scratch himself. Rolling over, he expected to bump into Sabira, as she was the one he fell asleep next to... But she wasn't there. Raising his head, Velren looked from side to side, looking for the Upsilon, but she wasn't in the den. Velren growled as he crawled out of the den and shook his fur out, usually Sabira woke him up when she did, since he had the habit of sleeping the day away, many young males liked to sleep in, Velren was no exception. "Sabira?" He called for her, but didn't receive an answer. With another annoyed growl, Velren left the pups den and began searching for the Fae, he thought perhaps they could go hunting together, now that they didn't need to worry about Sinray getting in the way. Velren searched everywhere, in every den, even sticking his nose in Willow's pups den, which earned him a growl and snap to the muzzle. The young brute was steadily growing worried, Sabira was definitely not at the den site... But with all these new pups around why would she just wander off into the forest? A whine escaped Velren as he turned and went for Rhea's den, hoping she would know where Sabira went, as he figured Sabira would let Rhea know where she was going. As he approached, the undeniable scent of pups reached Velren's nostrils... He stopped and turned around, tail between his legs.. But no, he had to know where Sabira was. With a determined growl, Velren turned around again and marched up to Rhea's den, though he sat down a little ways away from the den entrance. "Uhhhh, Rhea? I've got a question for you." He looked from side to side, then back towards the den, his body leaning to try and sneak a peek at the little pups, he liked pups... When they weren't annoying... He hadn't seen many newborns before, he was very curious.

Eclipse jogged along a mountain stream at a light pace, making sure to keep her movement slow enough for her pup to keep up a short distance behind her. Her dark blue eyes scanned the brush along the stream bed, searching for movement, aware that the rabbits greatly enjoyed hiding in the brier bushes this time of year. She twitched an ear, feeling slightly annoyed at this exercise. She had been catching rabbits for herself and her pup the last couple of weeks as they traveled, searching for a new home. She hunted the rabbits because they were incredibly plentiful and easy prey for her to bring down on her own. Eclipse however, hated rabbits. The meat was satisfactory and filling, but she had always preferred hunting big game. This was what she was best at and what she enjoyed the most. However with the loss of her pack, her one young pup was not enough to bring down any larger animals with her. Eclipse was still teaching Storm how to hunt, and while he caught on quickly as he did with most exercises, he was still only a pup and quite inexperienced. Eclipse slowed as she heard a branch snap, then came to a pause, her ears directed at the bushes in front of her, her nostrils widening to take in the scents of potential prey. She turned back to her son, who had paused as well, cocking his head at her curiously. She looked at him, tilting her head and drawing his attention to the bushes, indicating that he should watch her and pay attention. She stepped slowly toward the bush, lowering her body, her muscles tensing as she moved forward. She could smell the rabbit in its green and prickly covering, its musky scent clear to her senses.

She took one more step forward, gathering her body in preparation to jump into the brier and onto the small animal. Just at that moment however, a jay in another nearby bush took off, fluttering and chirping away in an explosion of noise. In a flash, the little brown rabbit darted out of the brush, running along the ground and weaving through the trees. Eclipse growled in irritation and leaped over the brier, moving in pursuit of the animal. Its small darting body was hard to see and even harder to corner. This was why she preferred larger game, she thought to herself in annoyance. She attempted to take a more straight route through the trees rather than weaving about like the small animal did. She began to catch up to it, attempting to move opposite of its swift darting and grab for its neck. She jumped, her teeth biting into the flesh of its leg, but not taking hold. The animal twitched as blood spurted from the wound, but continued darting away toward the shadows and bushes.

Eclipse slowed, panting, deciding to give up on the chase this time. She let out a gentle bark, calling Storm to come to her, and sat down on the grassy ground. It was at this point that she began to pay attention to the land around her once again, and her ears pricked forward, becoming more alert as she picked up a distinct scent in the air. She stood up once again, turning her head in the direction of the scent and walking forward. After a short distance, the trees began to thin as the mountain flattened and began to slope downward. Eclipse walked to the edge of the slope, looking downward into the valley below and the territory encompassing it. They had reached the edge of the territory of a new pack. Eclipse hesitated, reluctant to cross the boundary line into the pack without permission. She knew that each pack had its own set of rules, and many disliked strange wolves wandering through their lands without their knowledge or acceptance. Eclipse decided not to enter the pack lands just yet. She sat down on the top of the mountainous slope and lifted her head toward the sky, releasing a long howl into the air, one intended as a greeting, and something to potentially call members of this new pack to her, or ask for permission to cross into the boundaries of their lands. She settled herself on the grass, preparing to wait for a response from this unfamiliar pack, and turning to look behind her and ensure that Storm was still close by.

Storm was jogging along behind his mother, required to move at a swifter pace than she maintained in order to keep up. Storm was used to this however, and it did not particularly bother him. He looked around as they moved along the stream bed, copying the movements of Eclipse, although he was not truly paying attention to what she was doing or searching for prey as she was. Every once in awhile he would sidestep off the soft dirt of the stream bed and into the cool running water of the stream, enjoying the feel of it as it flowed over his paws. He was disappointed that there were no fish in this stream, as it was too small for them to thrive well here. Storm enjoyed fish; while he could rarely catch them, their colorful and swiftly darting figures were interesting to watch and entertaining to jump at, although he sometimes grew frustrated at their ability to disappear from beneath his snapping maw in seconds as he tried to catch them.

He almost bumped into his mother as she stopped, looking at something in one of the brier bushes. Storm wrinkled his nose at the bush. He had never liked brier, it was full of prickly spines that grew on all of the bushes and stuck to his fur, irritating him for days until he managed to remove them or Eclipse decided it was necessary to clean his coat. Storm knew that he should not be so dependent on his mother. He was getting older and should be learning to do more things; discovering how to fend for himself. In this wide and fascinating world however, it was difficult to concentrate on all of the serious things one needed to learn. He had already dealt with too many serious things when he was young, why did there have to be so many more that he still had yet to learn? Storm realized however that what his mother was trying to teach him was important, and that someday soon he would be becoming an adult wolf, which was something that he wanted. He wanted to be able to be on his own.

He cocked his head curiously at his mother, beginning to pay attention to what she was doing. She must have picked up the scent of a bird or a rabbit there. He sniffed at the bush, picking up the scent as well and deciding that it must be a rabbit. His soft blue-grey eyes met those of his mother as she indicated to him that he should watch what she did and learn. He payed attention to her carefully, noting the way she moved, the way she held her body and directed all of her senses toward the one thing she was most interested in, her prey, watching its every movement, attempting to predict what it would do. Then Storm jumped as a blue jay exploded out of another bush near the stream, his eyes and mind becoming confused as he tried to return his attention to his mother and watch the rabbit as it darted away, and her slender body as she leaped after it, running through the trees. Storm was tempted to bark at the annoying bird and chase it about for disrupting his mother's hunting tactics, however he realized that this kind of action would be futile. Therefore, he headed off through the trees after his mother, moving as quickly as he could in pursuit of her and her prey. He noticed the way that she moved through the trees, the way she jumped at the rabbit, and as it darted away he tried to pursue it himself. However it disappeared into the shadows and the deep bushes of the woods too quickly for him to catch it. Storm whined sadly, then looked backward, hearing his mothers bark. Storm growled at the bush, angry at the rabbit for getting away, then reluctantly turned and began loping back in the direction of his mother's voice and scent.
