((Yesterday I thought a banana was my baby...heehee baby banana...))
Trish sighed and got up from her perch on her bed. She sat down on the window sill and stared out at the beautiful sky. She sighed wistfully again, and then looked down. If only she could escape this prison like home. Then she could be free! But if she even took one step outside, someone would get her and punish her. All because she was "too young", as they said. She was 13, for crying out loud! She sat down on her bed and stared at the ceiling, with her arms behind her head. She got up and opened her bedroom door. She went down to the kitchen and went over to her mother, who was washing the dishes. "Mother? May I go outside?" She asked quietly, as she did every single day. "Now Trish, you know the answer. No. Are you hungry? I made some sandwiches." Trish nodded and sat down at the kitchen table, chewing her sandwich thoughtfully.
She hurried back upstairs and slowly creaked her window open. She climbed out and landed softly on the ground. She stared sneaking away, but someone saw her and yelled. She started running, but tripped on a tree branch. She felt a jolting pain in her ankle, and she cried out. "Ah!" She screeched. The men chasing after her caught up and picked her up. "What is this, the fortith time you tried to sneak away? You can't!" The man yelled in her face. She flinched back and they dragged her back to the house, her kicking and biting and struggling the whole way, despite the pain in her sprained ankle.
Her mother gasped as the men threw her in a chair. "Mrs. Dark, Trish escaped again." Her mother put her head in her hands and sighed. "Thank you." She said to the men. Trish looked down as her mother approached her. "Trish, why? Why can't you just listen for once?" Her mother said, tilting her chin up. "I don't know. I just can't be imprisoned anymore!" She said quietly. Her mother smiled wearily and herded Trish upstairs. "Stay in here for the rest of the day." She said. "Your father will have to board up the window...." Trish gasped. "But I won't see the sky!" Trish's mother walked out of the room. Trish sobbed quietly. She layed back down on her bed. She would have to escape tonight.
((Someone save her please!))
