Kiba would take that to heart, or at least try and understand the concept. He didn’t want to end up dead on the road of this journey. The red head would strive to surpass his brother in fighting and in skill. Maybe then, he’d be the favorite son for once.

Eyeing the sword in the reflection of the mirror, he turned. Perhaps he should handle it to get a feel, and sure enough Ryuu tossed it his way without it being asked. Smiling as it landed in his hands…for only a brief moment of joy as the red head stumbled backwards under the shear weight of the sword.

“gah! What the bloody…how much does this weigh?” Kiba asked, grunting as he managed to shove the sword off his chest. It landed with a loud thud. “…how can I fight when I can’t even lift the blade?”

Ryuu expected this to happen. He sighed when Kiba's joy turned to shock as he was taken down by his own would be weapon. "You may not be able to lift it now, but you will in time." Ryuu took a few long strides to cross the room and thrust his hand out. He didn't wait for Kiba to take his hand, pulling him to his feet. He lifted the blade just as effortlessly.

He studied the blade, sighing to himself. "Maybe I can lighten it with a seal..." He studied the pulled the blade from it's scabbard a moment. Again he sliced his thumb on the edge and smeared his blood along both side of the blade. "......", He muttered a brief incantation under his breath. the blood smears shifted, creating antient looking insignias. Flashing with light only once, Ryuu resheathed the sword.

"Try now. So long as you wear the scabbard, The blade shouldn't be as heavy for you. To anyone else though, It'll weigh it's true pound." It'd probably come in handy later for Kiba. "I'll adjust the seal later, so if you ever loose your scabbard in a fight you won't have to worry about not being able to lift it."

Kiba felt like a fool. He shouldn’t have thought he could easily wield anything. He truly did rely on Kirie for too much and that’s what made him weak. He needed to stand on his own and was glad Ryuu would be the one to teach him how to fight properly. But, did he have to dress this way?

The redhead let out a small yelp when brought to his feet. “…you can?” he asked feeling a bit of joy from that. A simple trick would aid him? Kiba watched at the sight of Ryuu’s blood on the blade. He was in awe of his spells.

He nodded taking the sword. This time, there wasn’t a comical fall backwards. The sword felt light in his hands just like Ryuu said it would be. “that’ll be handy…Thanks Kai, this is going to be very handy…” against Daniel. He wanted to see if the ex-priest could handle the weight of the blade in its finest form.

“…I have a gift for you, well, at least I can’t give it to you now…you’ll have to wait until the next full moon.” The redhead recalled a tradition in his clan. It would be his payment to Ryuu, and it would come in handy in the future if one found themselves in trouble.

“So..are we heading out now?” he was ready to move on.

A gift? He opened his mouth to decline. Though decided against it. He'd Kiba do as Kiba wished. He was rather curious at Kiba's whole 'next full moon' issue for the gift, though. Again, he shrugged and went about gathering up their mess. Pasuing, he found Kirie's blue dress and folded it up neatly, wrapping it in some of the parcel and string from the clothes he'd bought Kiba.
"Here, keep this. It's Kirie's."

He threw away the rest of the paper out the window into a large waste bin outside. "We will be leaving very soon. Just as soon as the scouts switch. When they do, The anasazi will guide us out safely to the main roads. From there, we will head north."

Opening the door, Ryuu lead the way out of small building. "Lets go and meet with the others at the infirmary. Maybe you can catch a little rest before we head out."

He eyed the dress, as he had seen it before. Well, Kiba had almost thought of putting it on since there wasn’t any other clothes, though Ryuu had come to his rescue on that. It was still odd to glance at himself in the mirror and see someone else. That its me, he thought. The redhead didn’t see himself fighting against anything.

Perhaps he could bluff his way through war? “North?” sounded good thus far, but Kiba wouldn’t mind having a bit of a nap. He was sure the dark circles under his eyes gave away just how tired he really was.

Heading out of the building district and on their way to the infirmary, Kiba couldn’t help but take in the grand scheme of things of this place. It was huge and not to mention breathtaking. He had never seen such structure before.
“Wow…” he said, looking around still like a child in a candy store. The redhead was about to ask which room it was in the infirmary when one of the doors slammed open, and a familiar face popped out.

The vampire seemed to have smelled either he or Ryuu. But by the look of hunger in his eyes, it would be his master he desired. Strange how Vent had dinned quite furiously not that long ago, an hour or more.
“Breakfast now…” The vampire demanded. He appeared so childish in his demanding mood that it made Kiba crack a smile as he passed him. Though Kiba thought he felt the icy gaze of Vent follow after him in the room.

“…that’s something….” Kiba stared at Daniel a moment who still had the child with him. Everyone seemed to be in a different mind set. Letting out a yawn, Kiba slumped to the empty bed that had once housed Vent and you could tell too. There were torn marks in the pillow that looked like teeth bites. Sleeping on his side, as he didn’t want to remove the sword, Kiba fell instantly asleep.

On the walk back to the infirmary, his forth trip now probably, Ryuu couldn't help but enjoy Kiba's admiration of his surroundings. It brought back memories, some enjoyable, others not so much. Reminded him of how innocent ones youth could be. 'Too bad we won't be here for much longer. It's nice that there is someone in our group that appreciates the majesty of 'Sanctuary'...'

Hearing the slamming door, Ryuu lifted his eyes to the angry face of Vent. His smile became a smirk at the Vampire demand. Clicking his tongue, Ryuu remained where he was as Kiba ventured ahead. "Glutton...", He muttered. Something never changed, he thought pleasantly.
"Keep this up, and I might start demanding blood in return." Ryuu's smirk contorted a bit viciously as he flashed his fangs. . Those of which weren't nearly as menacing as Ventura's when he lengthened them to drink.

Simply chuckling though, He approached and sat on the steps beside Vent. Patting the seat next to him. "Alright leech. I'll feed you..." He sent a jolting shock into Vent warningly. "Next time do not order me, though. Or else you'll be teaching yourself sign."

( =D don’ts forgets to post in the other rpz )

Emerald eyes flared bitterly towards his master when he caught wind of that word. He wasn’t a glutton, not in the least bit! The vampire was just demanding blood, nothing out of the ordinary. “Keh, yeah right…” Vent rubbed his neck as if recalling the time he had let Ryuu take his blood.

He glared softly at Ryuu when called yet another name, though he couldn’t argue with ‘leech’ as it did suit him quite well. The redhead shuddered only slightly at the jolt but thought nothing of Ryuu’s threats since his master already made those statements before hand.
Taking the offered place by the other’s side, he grabbed Ryuu’s hand, “my tongue stays in place and never leaves…” he stated as a matter of fact. The vampire lowered his mouth, fangs extending outward and penetrating Ryuu’s tender skin. His gaze glanced upwards at his master in an almost sweet gaze.

Unlike before, Vent was being sweet about his feeding, ‘….I recall the time when my feeding on you gave quite a scare to our allies and enemies…heh…’ Strange, how the previous feeding was full of anger and this one almost seemed casual, friendly at best. The vampire remembered during negotiations one time, he had casually lain in Ryuu’s lap, drinking blood, to regenerate his lost left arm. Those buggers had torn it clean off but yet that hadn’t stopped the assault, and thus they surrendered.

Vent bite hard now, feeling anger starting to boil inside at the mere thought that he could be so casual with this b*****d. He removed his fangs from Ryuu’s flesh but did not heal the wound.

Vents odd behavior gave Ryuu reason to caution himself around the vampire suddenly. It seemed too swift a change in his to be acting so friendly. So when the vampire bit harder into his wrist and did not heal him after wards, it rather pleased him. Or rather gave him a sense of relief.

With a soft hum of amusement, Ryuu brought his wrist to his lips, licking tenderly at his own blood. It was a bitter sweet taste he'd not enjoyed for a long time. Although, he much preferred the taste of other living things over himself.
"Of course they feared," Ryuu replied between licks, his wound healing rapidly on it's own. "One such as I does not give his blood to just anyone....Vampire servant or not."

He fondly recalled those days, when he had held more malice towards the world, except those particular people he held dear. How in his enemies he gilded fear and intimidation. And in his allies reflected strength and great leader ship. "We're leaving, as soon as the night scouts return. I'm going to get our transport. Make sure everyone is ready in three hours."

By transportation, he'd meant horses. There was Haru and Suke in the stables. Of course, Suke probably took roost somewhere above, damned Horgon. Standing and wiping his wrist off, Ryuu started down the stairs.
*anyone can time skip, btw.*

“What am I, your servant?” the vampire asked slyly towards his master. Vent fingered the amulet around his neck. It was strange with all the threats Ryuu gave out, yet not one of them revolved around taking back the amulet. Perhaps his master might want to punish him, but he surely would want to do it more than once.

The redhead leaned back slightly at his spot, thinking for a moment. He wanted to add something but nothing came to mind. Giving one last look to Ryuu, the vampire slithered back into the room. He glared softly towards Kiba whom had taken his spot, though from the sounds of him sleeping heavily, he couldn’t find himself to bother him. Now Daniel on the other hand….

Vent grinned devilishly as he waited for time to pass until he could do his deed of waking everyone up..Ryuu didn’t say he had to do it nicely, just that they had to be up.

~time has come and gone~

“Get out you filthy creature!” snapped Daniel when he had been awoken by a very unpleasant feeling. The ex-priest had sent the vampire out in a hurry, tossing anything that was nearby. His aim had been off due to his blindness, and was almost afraid he had tossed his glasses at Vent.

The vampire cackled, “Whaaaat? I thought you’d like it. Think of it as a gift friend.” He cooed outside the door as the vampire dared not to open it, in case Daniel gained better aim.

“GIFT?! I did not ask to be bitten on the nose as a gift! You bloody no good leech!” Daniel cursed the vampire’s name further while rubbing his nose carefully. Damn vampire. He knew one day this would happen. Sighing heavily, his gaze fell upon the child. She still had yet to leave his side all this time. “…I don’t know what you see in that creature Usa…” he said to the girl.

“And he expects me to wake up him,” Daniel indicated the still sleeping Kiba. Apparently still, nothing woke the boy up. Bad trait, he thought. If the redhead were to become a warrior, well, he’d die on a surprise attack. Daniel would just have to find something that would keep him half awake at night.
~`~
Vent was still rather pleased with himself as he sniffed out the scent of a certain witch. Her room wasn’t that far off from their own, which he was glad for. The vampire was about to give up and go bother his master.

He’d be nice to Aki, despite how tempting it would be to barge in and do something childish. Temptation was a cruel mistress. But, his master would probably dislike such behavior…Wait, when did he care about that?
Smiling innocently the vampire opened the door and peeked his head in, “FIRE!” he yelled at the top of his lungs before slamming the door and strolling away casually. Either she woke up or ignored the warning…eh, Vent didn’t care. He had other things to tend too.

Even as tired as she was, something like the urgency of 'FIRE!!' was enough to wake her. "WHAT?! WHERE??!" Aki rolled over, and in her urgency to get up, rolled right off her bed and onto the floor. "OOK!" Her hair still heavily ruffled, Aki immediately ran to her door. "WH-??!" She looked around and only saw the back of Vent's head. Turning bright red, Aki put two and two together. I'VE BEEN HAD...

As calmly as she could, Aki turned and shut her door behind her. JERK... Trying to relax, Aki made her way back to her bed to get more sleep, too overcome with her anger to give a thought to why she had been put there in the first place. "He'll just...get his later..." And she was almost instantly asleep again.

((Bah, the believability of this post is poor... XP Oh well, not like this is supposed to be a masterpiece.))

((Wow....That was so priceless. XD I think Ryuu would even let Vent get off easy for that one. Sorry Aki. And your post is fine, I think. With Aki being tiredish, I couldn't see there being too much more to her posty. X3))

Usagi lay sprawled on in the bed with Daniel. One arm lolled over the edge of the bed, the other folded over his tummy. Her once innocent child like slumber was now more disheveled and disarranged. With a small sigh, she muttered something about a good Venty and rolled over off the edge of the bed with a thump.
"Mnnn...Ruuuu...Us-chi....hungry...."She mumbled, sitting up a little and blinking around the room with a wide yawn. Looking up at Daniel blankly, she gave a tired little smile. "Dani-adu. You wake....Usa..happy...haa..." She lay back down on the floor, curling up with a goofy little child smile.

Daniel eyed the child on the floor now. He was curious as to why she would be happy for him to wake up. Though, he did owe the girl something. Usa had protected his body, then again that was just a mere thing. A lowly bug could have done that job. Daniel wasn’t ready to like anyone, especially not a child who disliked him earlier. He still recalled that hit she had given him.

Shaking his head, he slipped from the bed with ease. Whatever he had done when he left the body had helped restore him. “I don’t know why I even try to be nice…hardly suits me…” he knelt down, gathering Usa in his arms and settled the girl on the bed. “Now then, one child taken care of..two more..” he was going to get his revenge on that damn vampire.

He rubbed his nose slightly, and cursed. Vent had left a small mark, “All right Kiba…as I’m well aware of, Vent didn’t even wake her up…and I would rather not see her morning face…so lets see…” he rubbed his chin thoughtfully to what he was going to do. His face lit up when the cruel idea emerged. “Truly…wonderful…”
~`~
A few minutes later, Kiba was dragging his feet almost down the hall in search of Aki’s room. Noted though, his face was beat red. His thoughts wouldn’t even dwell on what Daniel had done to wake him up. The red head was about to ask around for the room when he spotted Vent who appeared all too gleeful.

“….I see you did your own way again….” Kiba muttered under his breath approaching the vampire.
Vent chuckled, “of course…eh, I guess Daniel sent you to finish my work? I swear…I did the best method I thought.” He grinned childishly.

Kiba frowned gently, “…fire, right?”

“Ah! You recalled!” Vent said merrily.
“All too well…so, which room?” Kiba asked.
The vampire gave the directions before leaving Kiba to finish his work. Kiba was rather surprised that Vent handed him the information so easily. Which made him nervous. What if Aki killed him at the door, thinking it was Vent?

Eh, it’d wake me up, Kiba thought to himself. The red head yawned loudly as he found her door and knocked gingerly on it. “…Aki….?

Aki merely turned slightly in her sleep, muttering something incoherant. It seemed her exhaustion would keep her out for a long while yet unless someone used more direct methods.

Like the living dead rising from the tomb of eternal rest, Usagi abruptly sat up. Eyes barely open, she trew aside the sheets and stumbled out of bed, the same any small child would clumsily rise for the new day. Clutching tiny fists into her green skirts, Usagi bumbled towards the door, stopped, and hummed softly as her stomach anouced that it was empty.

"Daniel? Usa hungry. Where's Big Brother Ryuu?" She rubbed sleep from her eyes, and then sniffed the air, as if expecting to smell something good cooking close bye. She hummed dissapointedly after.

(I had my wisdom teeth out during my spring break…and have not been feeling great.)

After another moment of knocking, Kiba came to realize it would be futile to continue, or at least the method he was using. The red head sighed heavily as his mind thought of something to do. He didn’t want to barge into the room unannounced and it was rude to enter a lady’s room. Kiba had been taught a few things by his father and that was, you had to compose yourself, think things through and always treat a lady well.

“I’ve barely met the girl, nothing wrong…its been…I’ve known her less than a day! We met, talked, made some plans that fell through…pancakes…then there is the fact of my curse..which could be avoided easily if I just kept myself at bay, but then..there is nothing wrong with entering the room, I have to wake….and I would…gah!” Kiba knocked his head against the door. He was rambling and worrying over silly matters.
“We barely know these people and Daniel wants to ride off into the sunset with them…! I know hes after something..probably Ryuu has some stash of riches…” the red head groaned softly in annoyance.

Kiba ruffled his hair, “I feel foolish..talking to myself….and not to mention…” his voice trailed off as he opened the door slowly. “Ah…Aki, I’m not trying to be a pervert….I mean, well, I’m just trying to wake you up! N-nothing wrong with that.” He stammered out. Kiba glanced towards the bed and gulped, “Aaah…Miss Aki?” he called out, slowly approaching the bed side. ‘….she’s kinda….cute….’ he thought as his hand brushed against her cheek, “Aki?”

~`~

The ex-priest turned around from the cabinet when he heard the noise,“Ah, another soul rises from a hellish dream,” Daniel commented on when the child stumbled out of the bed. He couldn’t help but smirk. His gaze followed her to the door, wondering if she were going to make a break for it.

A chuckle escaped past his lips in amusement, “Well hes off gathering our transportation or getting me a damn good pay raise…” Daniel headed towards the door, settling a hand on top of Usa’s head, “You know what would be a wonderful meal?...a vampire, fried to a crisp.”
