It was almost cute. Too cute. Honestly, how could this innocent child like being really be the Aki he knew. If she weren't so out of it, he might think this were really a ploy of some sort or another. Shaking his head, Ryuu took Aki to the next closest place he could put her away to sleep. He went to the Infirmary and found a single bedded room not in use.

He laid her down in the bed and removed her boots, setting them at the foot of the bed. Unfastened her cloak and hung it over a chair. Then swept the blankets out from under her and tucked them around her a bit. It was kind of silly, he thought. This was the kind of thing he did for Usagi.Only there was usually a bed time story involved and a kiss--- He halted all train of thought there, hastily disregarding anything he had once thought cute or amusing about Aki's present state.

"Hn...." He turned away, but paused when he stepped on something with his toe. He lifted his foot and found what looked like a fang. Although it seemed a bit grotesque for anything Aki would own, he shrugged and set it on the bed side table before Leaving. "Heh. Who knows? If she can look this innocent in her sleep, than anythings gotta be possible..."
Soft sounds mingling together echoed in his head. Some he could recall as footsteps, the rest was of a language that he could not quite get or even grasp a little. Kiba groaned as his eyes opened slowly to a world he was not familiar with at all. The red head slowly sat up in bed, and clutched his head by a slow growing headache.

Whatever happened after that fight, he couldn’t recall. He was never able too in the least, “…dog…?” he spoke out in question as if the darkness of the room would give him the answer.

Nothing.

Kiba was use to that response. He was dead tired since his body didn’t rest at all, thanks to Kirie and her being his curse. Sometimes he loathed the fact that she was his curse and not someone else’s burden. Then again, it was thanks to her that he was alive. She had saved his a** more than once when he had started off on his journey and this was even before he stumbled upon being a slave to Daniel.
Shoving the covers aside, he got out of bed to understand his surroundings. He had yet to notice he wasn’t dressed, so at first he did not get the reason why the being outside screamed at the very sight of him.

The red head had glanced down and flushed embarrassedly and headed back in the room. “….What…the hell did Kirie do last night?”

He searched through the room for his clothes but found none. All he had come across was a dress and that really didn’t do him any good. “….I am cursed in more than one ways…mmyup…” he nodded his head.

“I just have to pray someone will come and help me…doubt it…If Daniel came, he’d laugh…Vent, laugh…” Kiba headed back to the bed and decided he’ll just have to wait for aid.

Lucky for Kiba, Ryuu was on his way back to return a certain ring to Kirie. He'd almost forgotten about it after his run in with Aki. Along his way back, he thought he heard a scream, but he couldn't be sure. Voices carried and achoed sometimes in this cavernous city. With a steady step, and noticing a very flushed Anasazi woman hastely passing him by, Ryuu made his way up the stairs to Kiries dwellings. He reached the door and gave it a good rap of his knuckles. "Kirie? It's Ryuu."
The red head shuffled slightly under the covers trying to ease his nerves. But he was just a little occupied with the fact that he was stuck here and wasn’t sure if his companions were around. Though it was settled that someone he knew was here.

He would have just preferred if the name Ryuu spoke had been his own, and not Kirie. Fear of being found out, he thought he could play dead. No one home trick, but Ryuu would know he was there.

So, he did the next best thing. Clearing his throat, he spoke in a poorly done woman’s voice, “Ah, yes? So-sorry….sleepy…erm….tehehe….” his face flushed from his stupid act.

“I…ah….what do you need?”

A suspicious brow rose at the returned voice. He'd almost barged in, concerned when the woman hadn't spoken. This, though, perked his curiosity. That was not Kirie. "Kiba?" It sure sounded like Kiba....sort of....Well, it definitely wasn't Kirie, and she did say that she and Kiba were one in the same.

Sighing, he barged through the door, regardless if it was locked. He stepped in calmly and shut the door behind him. "You know...you'd make a terrible female..." Okay, lie, but Kirie wasn't really Kiba. She was a different entity all together. "I've got something for you and...It's...uh...What are doing?" he was referring to why the red head was burrowed under the covers.
Kiba sunk even lower into the covers, burying himself in them. He did not want to be found out but with his name called out in question, he grimaced at what would happen next. Perhaps Ryuu would leave, mind his own, though that of course did not happen.

The red head sighed heavily when the door was open rather nicely (>> nicely…) and in walked Ryuu, at least he’d assume so. When asked what he was doing underneath the covers, Kiba shuffled out slightly but kept himself covered in a modest fashion.

“Ah…nothing, just hiding…erm,” Kiba ruffled his hair nervously not wanting Ryuu to get a wrong idea about what he had been doing. “..not..erm..ah, well you see..I have…no..clothes..and…covers…” he stammered and babbled further about his clothes missing and that he was merely hiding out.

Then the question arose, “…how did it happen?” he asked Ryuu. “I mean..not saying anything happened, but..I wake up in this strange place with nothing and you ask for Kirie…meaning…” the red head felt chest fallen in saying the next bit, “told you about my other side…”

He would have chuckled, but didn't. Poor Kiba. How long had been awake? He sighed to himself, ruffling his bangs. He gazed across the room, eying a dress that stood out all too well. It was the same that he'd bought for Kirie, due to her rags she'd been wearing. Rags that had probably been remains of Kiba's original clothes.
Fair was fair. He'd go out and Buy Kiba something as well. That and He'd be needing Proper clothes for when Ryuu began his training. Something he had to talk to Kiba about soon.

Nodding his acknowledgment to the truth of the matter, Ryuu noted the ill ease about Kiba with Ryuu knowing hat he was. He gave a sympathetic smile. "She did tell me, but I'll have you know, it does not change my views about you any more, Kiba. We all have our secrets." He made a small frown with his mouth. "Here. Daniel gave this to me to return to you. Said he wanted it exchanged for something of his. I won't exchange them though, So keep both." Ryuu approached the bed and set the copy ring on a table beside the bed.

"Wait here, and I'll be right back with some clothes..." Of course Kiba would wait, though. Where would he go with nothing but a blanket to wear?
Kiba was about to curse her name when Ryuu spoke out, easing somewhat his concerns. He didn’t trust many beings outside his clan. And had mostly stayed with Daniel and Vent because he had been trick into it and also was afraid that’d paint a target on his back. His father had said trusting others outside of your race was a deadly mistake.

The red head had taken that to heart. He had come to meet other races and found them to be what his father said. They wanted him dead the moment they knew. “I guess we all do…” Kiba noticed the small frown from Ryuu but pretend to take no notice.

“….Daniel…?” he eyed the ring set upon the table. He didn’t take but a mere glance to know it was a fake. The damn priest was still after it. “Thanks for the fake Danny-boy..” he muttered underneath his breath.

Kiba shook his head, “N-n-o! You really don’t have too.. I mean…it’s a nice gesture…and well, I need them..and I’ll repay you!” he stated. He didn’t want Ryuu to buy it but he didn’t have anything of his own anymore. Kirie it seemed had lost it.

“…thanks…sorry about my babbling…its still a little unnerving to wake up somewhere like this.”

"It's only fair...", he muttered as he left. Meaning the dress Kiba had found, whether he understood the meaning or not.

He was gone almost twenty minutes. Having to find the right shops and the right people. He was quick to return after getting what he needed, though, and entered the room as casually as he had before. Carrying with him a whole armload of packages and parcels. It was obvious he'd gotten more than just clothes.

"These ought to fit. You aren't nearly as small as Kirie. But you weren't very burly either." He tried comparing Kiba's body structure to his own, which was difficult, as he could tell there wasn't as much muscle build. That would change fast, though.

"Now, Don't even bother trying to repay me in the future...I won't except it." Kiba wouldn't be able to repay him, either way. Some of the things here were too costly, including the sword and leather Armour he'd find among the packages. He'd bough Kiba a full set of clothes, from his cloak to his boots and everything between. The attire was not anything simple, either. If he was going to train Kiba, he was going to be properly equipped. And so his attire would appear something of a knights wardrobe.

"The blade is not much, but enough to keep you defended..." It was really an excellent blade, though he wouldn't make it seem pricey, or else Kiba may not accept it.
So there he waited for what seemed like forever. Kiba would have slept but found himself a little eager to have proper clothes on. Sheets were his style nor the fashion of the times. A tint of red colored his cheeks as he recalled a saying his father had made about his mother. It had been rather perverted and well, since that time in hearing it, he had tried to forget. Tough luck there.

“…that’s…a lot…” Kiba said with wide eyes at the loot Ryuu brought in. The red head was never accustomed to being treated like this. He’d half expected to just be given basic clothes nothing..well, fancy.

He had to smile slightly at the remark that he wasn’t as near Kirie’s figure. That was good, he had hoped to have some manly built in the future or at least try, anyways. “But…” he started when told repayment was not an option which meant, that Kiba would have to repay Ryuu in other ways.

Yes, like cooking. Or cleaning, or something! Creeping from the bed and wrapping the bedsheet around his waist. He wanted to see what Ryuu had gotten him, “Wow…is this…really for me?”

“Blade?...Ah, Ryuu, if Daniel said I was good with a sword, he’d be lying to you again…I’m rather a terrible fighter,” Kiba informed him, just in case Daniel was pulling crap again. He eyed the rest of the items, “…how does this go? I mean…I’ve never put on armour..and knowing me, it’ll go on upside down backwards…”

( ah ha…funny moment popped into le head…or at least I’ amused by it. Ryuu hands over the sword to Kiba, and of course poor red head falls over…>> swords can be heavy…though yes, the image of the word knight brought to mind that drawing I had done of Kiba as one..X3

oh yes, and if you cans..yahoo decided to work for me )

(YAHOO! My Savior....<3 Eh, lets just say that picture is kinda what Ryuu got him. >< For lack of imagination, right now.)

A lot, perhaps, but every scrap was essential. When the boy began asking about some of the things, he almost smacked his forehead. this was gunna take a LOT of work...."You better be a fast learner...." Cuz I am not dressing you every morning, he finished in thought.

Unwrapping the packages, Ryuu found the pants and undergarments and the rest of his basic clothes, laying them out for Kiba to begin putting on. "I trust you know how to wear these, in the very least?" He pulled the Armour and sword aside, putting the scabbard and belt together while Kiba dressed, as well as check the Blade over for sharpness.

"Daniel did not tell me you were a fighter. No, very much the opposite. Because Ventura is coming with me, Daniel as decided we may as well merge groups and travel together. So....From this day, forward, You will be taught the ways of the sword, under my wing--er...word." He shook his head. "These days are dangerous, and you need to be taught to defend yourself. Kirie may be strong, but you can't depend on her forever...She said so herself, as well as Daniel...."
( lack if imagination indeed…time saver, indeed-o)

Kiba gave him a crossed look at the remark. Of course he knew how to put clothes on, just not the fancier items. Just basic. Eyeing the clothes, he reached out and felt the material. For basic items it was really nice, a little too nice than what he was use too.

He almost thought of saying he couldn’t accept, but Ryuu wasn’t into that sort of thing and well he just had to throw some of his habits out the door. Unwrapping the sheet from his waist, Kiba put the undergarments on rather quickly, nearly stumbled over from his movements. He nervously laughed, “ah, he did…Merge? Together?”

Of course all the big choices were made without him…again. But the prospects of being taught how to fight with a sword would prove useful. Maybe then, he’ll be able to return to his clan and gain the respect he deserved.

Nodding to that statement, he very well understood. Kirie was a dangerous tool to have around and summoning her for too long would end his own life. “I…I’ll learn quite fast..I’ll try anyway. Just give me some encouraging words Ryuu…my father never did such a thing..my brother was the one that gained all the praise..heh, he was strong, really fast and he could transform without the aid of the moon..”
He sat down on the bed to prop on his boots, “and then I came along….a terrible werewolf who couldn’t do anything right..well ,I can cook and do ‘women’s work’, as my brother informed me…and my uncles and just about everyone else, well minus the women who found me rather helpful…”

He didn’t know why he told Ryuu this, but it almost felt right. Kiba had wanted someone normal to speak with or at least someone that wouldn’t make fun of him.

A worker over a fighter? Heh, it reminded him of someone he knew. With a smile he chuckled at his little story about home. "There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Being a worker. I find that those who do not fight do well with their hands. Some people are most useful this way. Though when you travel, you're better off being able to defend yourself in the very least."

When Kiba Finished dressing, Ryuu helped him to his feet and fitted him into his leather Armour. Reaching around him, practically hugging Kiba, Ryuu fit it around his waist, and snapped it together at the side. The Armour was made to protect the ribs and abdominal area, covering those places.

Once fitted, He gathered the red and cream colored tunic, throwing it at Kiba. "Pull that on, and finish dressing."

Going back and picking up Kiba's sword, Ryuu pulled off one of his thick leather gloves. Donning his claws, he tested the sharpness of the blade against them. The metal sang beautifully, he thought to himself.
“Thanks…” Kiba said with those kind words. He just wish those words escaped from his father and not from a man that took pity upon him. “yeah, I know…defense is the best method. I can’t always hide and run behind a shadow…” The red head glanced up towards Ryuu when the man helped him up and started to show him how the armor went on. He guessed what the items were for and was grateful.

He had a feeling a certain vampire would want to test the durability of the armor, just to make sure it’d hold up against attacks. “Cool…” he tapped at the armor with interest. He smiled, going to ask Ryuu a question when the tunic was thrown at him.

The red head nearly dropped it. That had been sudden, “Yes sir…” he said slipping it on. “…I never knew things could turn out like this….I mean, look at me…dressing up like a hero or something..I may not be a great ancient warrior but…I kinda look the part….?”

Kiba went up to the mirror to eye himself. It was strange to see the difference from what he was use to seeing himself in. He brushed his hands, combing it out to look nicely compared to the clothes.
“So..where are we going on this merge of our groups?” Kiba asked.

(heh, Kiba-kun here reminds of Thomas from Pocahontas…clumsy, dorky, and red hair)

"Not always, Kiba. Defence is merely to protect yourself. Which is good. Though unless you can counter attack, you may as well be dead, depending on who's behind the other blade." He shook his head, cutting is thumb purposefully on the blades edge before sheathing it. "It may sound confusing now, though you will figure it out in time." He turned, licking the blood form his thumb as the broken skin healed over. A sudden smirk crossed his lips, amused by Kiba's fawning over his reflection.

"Hm. Anywhere that's not here." He tossed Kiba the sheathed blade, which he'd soon find to be much heavier than it looked, where as Ryuu made it look like it weighted nothing. "I was headed north before meeting Aki. There's a destressed Demri who's crying has been keeping me awake all month. I'm hoping to capture it so I can finally nap in peace..."
