Hm? Ryuu glanced curiously back from the corner of his eye, then back to the road with a smile. he began to wonder if the young girl had ever ridden a horse before. He'd ask her in a moment or two.

"To where ever the winds call me," He responded simply with a chuckle. "I have my eyes, my ears, my nose, my hands, and my tongue.", by this he meant his five sences. Or in simpler terms-- "I have my instincts. When there is something dark adrift, I rather happen upon it by pure coincidence, it seems. I perfer to call it Hitsuzen, though. There is little or no coincidence in this world at all. Everyone has a planned path set for them." He nodded confidently.

"And my instincts are telling me that there is a nasty Demri far north of here...Mmmm, some where near....", he couldn't decided. It was close to three city location close together. It seemed abit too far for his sences to pin point, though.

Shaking his head, he eased off to trot next to Aki's mare upon his Horgon. "Anyway. Have you ever ridden before? You seem to be having some...difficulties?"

(Is this color okay?)
(Color ish good. 3nodding )

Ryuu's words gave Aki some food for thought. "That's an interesting philosophy... And I agree." She actually smiled at this a little bit. "Having a life without meaning is too depressing. I'd much rather think that everything I do has a purpose..."

"A Demri?" Aki asked curiously. "Never come across one of those... What are they?" She seemed to be forgetting her grudge against Ryuu for the sake of seeking knowledge. The more she learned, the better off she was...or at least that's what she thought.

Aki gave him a rather cross scowl. "Brilliant deduction, Merlin... Yeah, never ridden a horse before..." She stared at the ground stubbornly and pursed her lips, still clinging tightly around the horse's neck.

" A Demri is a creature that appears in human form-female-and communicates almost completely by musical means. So, they are much like the Serien. Only they are not hindered to water. The Demri in our country are very heavenly. Have you ever listened at night and heard a haunting but beautiful voice singing in the wood around you? If yes, that would be the Demri. They are most drawn to Babes, becuase they like to sing lullabyes for them in the night. That or deppression. It rare that a Demri should be causing such a camotion at all. Something must have really upset this Demri."

He nodded. there was so much more he could say about Demri, though he'd leave it at that for now. After the explination, Ryuu made a brief glace at Aki's scowl.
"Oh...I'm sorry. I...never concidered that." he gave a rub of his chin, frowning to himself. He felt bad now. Though did smile in an uprising mood. he reached out to Aki, offering his hand. "Would you like to ride with me until we can get you use to riding on your own?"

An innocent enough gesture. He didn't need her falling off and getting hurt because she didn't know how to ride a horse properly. He had plans of challenging her to a race of sorts.
Aki gave Ryuu a sly, skeptical look. "Well then, it sounds like I ought to handle this one. Not so sure you'd be able to resist its charms." She snickered unpleasantly in her own amusement.

Aki scowled even more at the kind gesture. "Not in your life." She responded coldly. Even though she had to admit that riding with him would probably be safer, she knew that she would never be comfortable with it. It was...physical contact...that she'd rather do without.

"Ch, whatever", He said with a smirk and laughing eyes. he didn't mind the joke. It may very well be the truth. He migth NOT be able to resist the charms of a demri, dependning on how powerfulor cunning it would be.

"Suite yourself, I guess. The offer stands as is, though. Incase you change your mind." he couldn't help but snicker. She's bitten back at his guesture like he was trying to be a pervert. 'Such a curious girl. I'd definately follow this one to the ends of the skies.'
Aki merely stared at the ground bitterly as she continued to cling to the horse's neck. That danged Ryuu. How could I have let him stick me in this situation like this...? I feel like the more I resist, the more I get stuck doing what he wants me to...

After a little while longer, Aki was starting to get bored with the silence again. "So, does this horse have a name? Or were you meaning for me to name her?" She tried to make it sound casual and unimportant, but she was afraid that the curiosity and nervousness in her voice may have betrayed her.

Ryuu himself didn't mind the silence in the very least. He was actually enjoying it. Concidering how loud Aki could get when she was mad though...
"Hm? She hasn't a name. She is fresh from the wild, yet tame as can be. She is your to keep, and Your to name. Choose wisely though, as your horse is more than a travel tool. Your horse is your travel companion and partner." Ryuu held up his finger in a manner of which said he was making a point.

"Speeking of which; how rude of me. I never did introduce you to my steed. I beg your pardon, old friend." He gave the Horgon a light pat to his broad neck. The Horgon nodded his head.
"This is Ryuunosuke. Tough he is just Suke for convinience."

<<Eeeeh. Silvey ish going to bed after a brief checking of DA. talk2hand Sorry. See you in the morning, Aki.>>
((Geeeh, Tis ok... See ya in da morn. 3nodding ))

Aki thought for a moment, and a name came to her sooner than she thought. "Haruyuki." She said at once. "She reminds me of spring snow... The kind that's just melting off as the days grow warmer..." She began to stroke the horse's mane tenderly, now feeling much more affectionate toward her. "...Haru for short will work just fine, I think..."

"Suke." Aki repeated, looking at Ryuu's horse with what seemed to be new found respect. "Well, Suke, I apologize for the way I acted earlier. I suppose I'm just easily put in a foul mood by certain types of people..." She glanced at Ryuu for a second before staring back at the ground again and continuing her stroking of Haru's mane.

"Like the melting snow of spring. I like how you said that. You've really got a way of saying things.", Ryuu smiled in content, chuckling sincerely. He was begining to like this girl. Perhaps traveling with her wouldn't be such a task as he thought it'd be. then again...she still had that bite.

Suke raised his head, glancing towards Aki with his pure read eyes. He gave a sort of bow of his head, while streaking his neck aroudn his side.
"Suke is greatful for your apology. And Why is it you look at me when you say 'certain types of people?" he pointed at himself wonderingly. She didn't mean him, did she? No, no. Of course not.
Aki blushed slightly at his kind compliment. "Thanks..." She said softly, not looking at him.

Aki looked at him crossly. "Your intellegence must be worse than your ego. OF COURSE I'm talking about you." But as she said this, she started to regret it. "...You didn't make a very good first impression on me, you know..." She said this in an effort to justify what she had just said prior to it, but still didn't feel that it would suffice. He seems a bit nicer now... I'm starting to feel a little guilty about what I've said...

"Oh..", that was all he really said, averting his eyes as if he'd just said the stupidist thing in the world. "Yeah. I realised that after you stormed off the other night. That's why I gave you the bag and the horse. As...an apology."

Ryuu always did have troubles with a good honest apology. He'd have said it to her face, though being Ryuu he sent the gifts instead. "I didn't mean to turn out so jerkish like I had, honest.", Ryuu glanced to the sky, scratching his cheek nervously. "I guess I was just having one of those off days. Before I met you back there, I was in another town, catching up to a Scatcher I'd been tracking the past month. They only come out once every century, so they're really rare! But when I finally caught up on the little bugger, the Scatcher was dead. Apparently it'd been really old and on it's last legs. So I was really irked over that. So then when I found myself hot on the tail of a sleep spirit, only to have it yanked out from under my nose before I even reached the den...it just dampers the fire to just about nothing."

Rubbing the back of his neck, Ryuu stared dead ahead to the path infront of them. He felt like an even bigger a** now; he was just going to put here through a guilt trip.
Aki looked at him hard, but after a moment her expression softened. "Apology accepted." She said with a sigh. "And as soon as I figure out how to properly ride this horse, I may even be thankful for the gift." Aki was STILL clinging tightly to the horse's neck. Haru didn't seem to mind though.

"Really?!", Ryuu chimed, lifted his head with a brigth and merry smile. "Well Then I can help you, if you like!?", he offered, appearing rather excited. "I'm one of the best riders AND flyers, I mean..just rider..in all the land!"

)SHORT(
Aki's faced tinged slightly pink, but when she spoke it was her same stiffness. "I think I'll pass...for the time being..." She seemed to still be a little uncomfortable with the idea...

~*~

As the silence drifted on and it started to get warmer with the rising of the sun, it wasn't long until Aki became so relaxed that she fell asleep right there on her horse. Haru seemed to be aware of this, and was making sure not to walk too roughly or Aki might fall off.
