This is a Privet role play between Aki Ameko, SilverDragon4, and Tristan Thorne. If you are neither of these three people, than you are not allowed to post AT ALL!!!!

It would be appriciated if those of you who happen by keep your spamming, flamming, bumping posts to yourself. Thankyou.

The country of Marchen is 65% Enchanted Forestry, 20% Cursed mountains, 6% Magical rolling plains, and 9% Ancient vallys. Though it is also 100% Fantasy. The Era and time is based in a renissance age, back when Witches and dragons, fairies and Magic all resides commonly throughout the land. Good and evil were in common warring stages. At least beyond the walls of Marchen.

In all the world, Marchen is known as the safest of lands, protected from the evils of the outside world by it's Great Wall, created centuries ago by the 13 mages of Caidoz, Members of an ancient Coincil thought to have been long deceaced since the creation of the wall. Little do we know, that they still exhist, but that's getting into a part of the story that does not come until much later.

Let us begin from the start of the story, where as we follow a young witch beginning her career as a Curess, In the small towns of Marchen. Where the pages of history begin to turn a new.

Glossory

Horgon: Demon horse is one of it's nick names. This creature is a cross between Dragon and Horse. They live in the mountains, where they usually are creating a great ruckus for reasons of what ever sort. Highly tempermental, they are near impossible to tame. Though once tamed, these frightul creatures can become quite mellow, obidient, and loyal, based on the tamer/master.

Outsiders:Beings of darkness from the other side of Marchens great walls. It is rare to spot any in Marchen, as it is supposed to be impossible to cross the wall. Though when These strange cretures of darkness do happen to slip into Marchen, it can only mean trouble.
No one knows what an outsider is or what they look like exactly. All that is known is that when they are near, the air is filled with the thick and heavy scent of blood, death, and anything evil. Outsiders will be heavily clad in dark clothing, are ruthless and merciless, and know only war.
(subject due to update.)

Precious Metals
Navi'en: [nah-vee-ehn]A deep metalic blue silver. It is a shade of color caught between Navy and Royal blue. It sometime flickers as both colors when set in a flickering light. It's cost is high as it's ore is mined in the high jagged mountains that stretch from just within Marchen to it's outskirts beyond The Wall.
Navi'en are a higher coin currency in Marchen due to it's rarity, and is uncommonly used but stilled passed hand to hand as payment.

Blude Civi: [bluu-de, cee-vee]Blude Civi is dirived from an elden Lanuage. Blude, meaning blood, and Civi, meaning coin. This particular metal is a red gold. Like rose gold, only more red, nearly pure crimson. When set to candle light, the metal flickers and glimmers like living flame.
This precious metal is rare as it had been used by the Vampires as a sorce of currency. Though as the vampires began to die away to lesser numbers, they took their Blude Civi and knowledge of it's dieing ore with them.

Magical Items/History

Aki's Amethyst Ring:
It was on page #17 that Aki recieved her silver encrested amethyst ring from Ryuu as an apology for an arguement they had had a few pages earlier.(See history for Ryuu's apology) This ring is not for just wearing and looking pretty on your finger, though.

Wheather or not it is realised by the wearer, the ring is one of few from a series of four. The ring Aki has in possesion is called the Ring of Twilight. It is made from a long extict source of rare Amethyst called Dragons Trove.

This specific Amethyst was rare even in the time it florsih most. And was name Dragons Trove Amethyst for the fact that in those times only the great dragon, whom facies gems and rare treasures, had them in poccession as he'd made them himself. The very cavern where the rare gems could be found were under protection and ownership of the Great Dragon.

Dragon Trove Rings:
A rare quality about the Dragon Trove Ametyst rings are that they are a deep purple, as if colored so through wine and blood. There is a story behind this in Ancient Marchen Folklore that explain it's unusual color.
The Great Dragon of Marchen (Often said to have been the Dragon of the 13 mages) had been set to the task of creating three rings from his finest precious metals and Gems for a Lord of Elves, whom promised to pay the dragon for his work.
The Dragon made the rings as requested, as he held the Elves in high regaurd. He also decided that he would make them differently from the traditional metal ring ecrested in gems. Instead, he made Rings from Gem, ecrested with precious metals. Each, was made from fine Amethyst, the Lords favorite gem stone, and ecrested with Gold, Navi'en, and Blude Civi. The Great Dragon made a forth ring encrested in Silver.
After creating the rings, the Dragon took on a human form and personally delivered the rings to the Elven Lord in a hand carven velvet inlain box. As he had thought, the Lord was eacpecially pleased with the rings. Speeking fondly of the Dragons work. When done and through, the Lord did not have the payment. Abit dissapointed but still holding the Elves in such regaurd, The Dragon gave the lord two seasons to gather payment for the rings.
The two seasons had passed, and the dragon returned to claim his payment from the Elven lord he so highly regaurded. The Elven Lord, wearing one of the very rings the Dragon had made, refused to pay. As he in truth had not the riches to pay up, even in the two mounths he'd been given to collect the amount. Nor would he give the rings back to the Dragon.
The Dragon did not except or even ask for what the Elven lord had gathered in payment over the past two seasons thus far; an amount that would only just barely rise to pay for one ring alone. The dragon instead took his rings back after cutting the silver ecrested ring right off from the Lords little finger as payment for the Lords Deciet, Betrayal, Greed, and Denial.
The ring was placed in the box, finger and all, with the other three rings. As it bled, it stained the four rings, making them a Deep indigo that came to be called Royal Blood or Dragons Trove.
After regaining the rings, the Dragon enchanted the rings to have effects opposite of the Lord sin when he'd refused to pay the Dragon for the rings, and gave each a name. The four rings soon became the rarest gems in the land, and were often sought out as it is said a theif managed to smuggle them from the Dragons den.

The Dragons Troves Rings:
--The Ring of Twilight
Encrested in Silver, and lightest in color as a Royal blood colored Amethyst, this ring is a symbol of heavenly understaning. As such, it grnts it's wearer a means of mental and spiritual healing, and grants clarity of mind. It reflects a shift from one reality to the next.

From Here, My Friends, The Journey Begins.

It was twilight. A lone witch cloaked in dark clothing walked up the deserted street, unnoticed by anyone. She stopped for a moment to survey her surroundings, clutching something that hung around her neck. Finally, as though she suddenly knew where to go, she marched to her left into a sleepy tavern.

And rather sleepy it was. Nearly all the customers inside were dozing off, and the bar tender appeared to be having trouble keeping himself awake as well. The witch walked up to him and snapped her fingers, sending a spark to make the man suddenly alert. "You called for a Curess?" she asked.

The bartender was not 'just' leaned against the counter. He may as well have had his full torso lain atop it like it were a bed. The only thing that seemed to keep his mind from slipping into a dark dreamless sleep was his hand which supported his chin. Yet with each passing moment his face gradually slipped from his palm.

Just seconds before the young miss snapped her fingers, the bar tenders head fell heavily from his head, landing with a hard thud against the counter. Had it not been for the strange echo that seemed to emit from the snap of her fingers, he might have lain motionless in deep unconsious sleep upon the countertop. Though, roused in an instant by the magic hinted snap of her fingers, the Bar keep jolted up to a stand.

His dreary brown eyes made a short swift scan of the tavern, glancing over each shoulder and across the room, before settling his eyes upon the young woman, who stood not so very far from where he did behind the counter. He widened his weary but alert eyes as far as they would go in curiousity. This young thing? He did not expect much more for such a small quant little town. But reminded himself that appearences were decieving.

"Miss Aki, I presume?", He chidded firstly, rubbing his stubble of a chin. He nodded and came from behind the counter, wringing his hands in worry. He could not help the feeling of doubt that flowed through him. She was not the first to be summoned here in a request of help.
"Ai, My name is Gahrroe. I am he who had sent for you.", He explained in a gentle scruffed tone, His words dragging with his age and weariness. This apart from even the scene and town might explain the troubles of the little country tavern.

"Please, might I offer you a fine drink of warm cider for the chill of late evening? You must have come far for such a miniscure task." He could only expect the call of the witch to be a bother, assuming she to be of highly order.

"Yes, I am." Aki answered in a rather neutral tone. "Perhaps after business is taken care of..." she said in response to the cider, "...Work should be done first."

Aki reached into the pouch that was slung around waist and took out a small pendent, and paced around the room. As the pendant swayed lazily from side to side, Aki reached a dusty old cabinet, and the pendant began to glow. "I can already tell what's wrong." she said with a sigh. "A Sleep Spirit has taken roost in your cupboard. And it's entrails are spreading, look..." It was then that Aki let her pendent glow over a spot on the wall that appeared to be covered with long, glittery web-like silver threads. "It's easily taken care of. Just stand back." Aki curved her fingers into a sacred sign and brought it up to her forehead, and closed her eyes as she started chanting. The cupboard began to glow and shake...

He was surprised, and yet pleased in the least to see the Witch so eager to have her business finished firstly. Where as those failures from before had taken to gorge or rest for days; in what they called study, before the real work began. Was this one for real, at last?

Watching the young girl from afar, Gahrroe remained back by his bar, attentive to where she was going and what she was doing. What he found most curious was the intricate pendilum that swung from her dainty hand. Shaking his head from it's hypnotic sway, the keeper looked on to the cupboard the witch had come to stop at.

When told to step back, he knew not what to expect. He climbed up onto the stools at the bar and over the bar top to the other side to hide out of view. Precautions were precautions. From the other side, he peered out over the top of the counter.

The cupboard on the other hand; It shook in reluctance to give in so easily to that of the witch and her purefying attributes. It had chosen it's place of residence, and hadn't planned on being so rudely awoken and forced to leave. Especially in the middle of it's feast...

Becoming suddenly still, the rattles of the hutch fell ever silent. This was not the end of things, though. The door to the hutch slammed open, and a great wave of what appeared to be thousands of silver spider threads shot forth from the hutch. This wave was sent spewing out towards the witch and in all direction around her. These fine threads were the spirits source of consumption.

When the spirit laid it's threads upon a living creature or being, it's threads absorbed the consiousness from the host. Most Sleep Spirits did little harm and only stayed for a short snack, as it were. Usually the cause of mid day naps or day dreaming. There are some sleep spirits, though, who are more aggressive than others and are known to take advangtage of overly active individuals who would contain a greater value of energy and consiousness. Sometimes these aggressive feeders can send it's hosts into a deep slumber, never to awake again.

As expected, the spirit instantly wrapped its threads around her and began sucking her energy. An aggressive one, I see... she thought. No matter. I know how to take care of it. Suddenly Aki stretched forth her hand and sliced it downward, breaking the threads with her magical force easily. Then she reached into her pouch again...and pulled out a bell.

She swung the bell over her head, and as it rang, magical energy appeared to be coming off of it, energy that was sure to wake the customers and irritate the spirit like no other. "WAKEY, WAKEY, SPIRIT!!" Aki said, almost mockingly.

Ringing, ringing. High constent ringing. How irritating the sound. The Spirit shook and trembled, drawing it's loose threads into itself. A form of blocking out that annoying jingling. this didn't help and that bell--it would not stop! It only rang and rang, it's frequency hieghtened by the flow of magic pressed into it's source; The bell itself.

The Spirit shrieked and screamed loudly like jagged fingernails across a chalk board. "Ieeeeeeee!!!" The Spirit did not grow weak, either, as the Curess had expected. Rather, as the customers through the tavern began to gain conciousness, The Spirit attached itself to the wall, where it's entrails of silver threads remained. Entrails that were spread through the tavern yet, covered over each and every presently waking person. As each person awoke, the spirit absorbed the energy of their conciousness, and thus greater in size. By now the spirit was the size of a large dog, where at first it was but the size of a small rock.

From the wall, the spirit thrust itself towards the witch, seeming to hover and float with the help of threads from its body attached to the ceiling and walls to move it. Though so long as that bell rang, the Spirit seemed to keep it's distance, hissing like an enraged cat at Aki and her enchanted bell. It wouldn't stay away for long though. This spirit was stubborn. And either the bell stopped or it would make it stop.

Unexpected, but Aki could work with it non-the-less. If there was anything that a Sleep Spirit hated more than noise, it was light. Aki thrust forth her hand once again, where a jeweled ring on her finger began to glow. It glew brighter and brighter, until it seemed as if the sun was inside the tavern. But Aki did not shield her eyes. Instead she merely gazed intensely at the spirit, a smirk spreading across her face. I've got you now. she thought. It wouldn't be long before the spirit gave up and fled, or passed on from this world.

Gradually the blinding light had backed the spirit back into the cupboard, where it shrank back into a small stone size. There was no where to go to escape the light, thus the now worm like spirit merely squirmed and wriggled before croaking. It's body flinched then becme still. It's body then became transparent, fading away as a transparent spoke. All that was left behind of the spirit was a lock of spider webbing like silver thread.

After a short while of the spirit having vanished, the bar keep gradually came from behind the bar. Was it over?, he wondered to himself. It appeared so by pure nature.
"Curess, I can not thank you enough.", The people within tavern began to wake, appearing ever confused and wondering what had gone on before now. "As a small town, I can only hope to be able to afford your payment requirements." They had never discussed it before hand.

Aki didn't answer Gahrroe at first. Instead she walked over to where the remaining silver thread lay and knelt down to examine it. "This thread will do just fine..." She said, smiling as she picked it up carefully and stowed it in her pouch. She stood and walked over to the man. "Although I wouldn't mind that drink...and perhaps a room for the night?" She smiled and got a little twinkle in her eye as she said this. The effect was rather charming.

"Thread?" To be quiet honest, Gahrroe couldn't see the remains of the spirit, that being the thread. He did not bother to ask of it though. Perhaps it was something only witches and Curess' like this one could see. Staring blankly at the witch for a long moment, Gahrroe blinked then smiled, clasping his hands together adn bowing gently. He would have given her the drink, and concidered the room. Though with that ever innocent charm, how could he not allow it? It'd be a sin to see that charming young face and say no.

"Of course. you only deserve such generosity from the likes of us. Without your help, we may as well have slept our lives away to nothing!" Please, rigth this way. Make yourself comfortable. I'll get you the finest cider. Our best room!"

He snatched the nearest worker, still a tad confused and dazed, and gave them their orders to ready a room, before going of to the bar to prepair a mug of hot cider.

"Why, thank you!" Aki said cheerily before sitting down at the bar. The night was still young and she felt like mingling with some good company before settling into bed. She was in good spirits after her triumph, and the atmosphere of the tavern was all too pleasant and relaxing.
