Thread restarting!

I created this thread a few months ago, however innactivity and lack of members caused it to die rather quickly.
However I refuse to let such a well put together thread die, being a devoted fan of the Manga Trigun, I really am happy to launch the thread again, hopefully this round will go much better!

I will be accepting any SURVIVING characters of the Manga including
Vash the Stampede
Livio the Double Fang
Meryl Strife
Milly Thompson
Brilliant Dynamites Neon

I will also be accepting all Origional characters, following under the categories of
Plant - independants (a next generation version of Vash or Knives)
Earthling - (any human from earth who has now been stranded on Gunsmoke during the rescue attempt for the Seeds project. Earthlings have great technological understanding, however often need assistance coping with the desert landscape of Gunsmoke)
Logal - (Any citizen of the planet, wether an officer of the law, or lawless mercenary.)
Eye of michel - (a group of assasins who were arranged by millions knives to assault Vash the stampede as well as end the lives of humanity in general. Their bodies have been altered to allow them super human abilities when it comes down to ending lives.)

And so now, Please take the time and the patience and lets make this launch one to be remembered!!!

The sun was already high in the sky when Archer had awoken. his sky blue eyes fluttered open and glanced about the blurry haze around hime as he took in his surroundings and regained his bearings. He was in his room of course, the Satellite still playing in a dull rumble in the corner of the room, He must have dazed off listening to the Earthling broadcast last night.
He spun round and planted his feet on the sandy floor. There was always so much sand around, it was really quite frustrating. Either way, it was the life he had been born into, and he was thankful for each breath he took. Stretching and yawning loudly, he couldnt help but notice the sudden fluttering of the lightbulb in his roo and the static which strangled out the boring words of the Satellite DJ, which came to an end just as he finished his yawn. He chuckled a bit in amusement before standing to his feet, tossing on some clothing. His pair of black pants and a grey hoodie, something he had recieved for his second birthday, only a few weeks ago. Oh yeah, thats right, he was different...
The plant boy simply faded into the background at the simple orphanage at Fort Knight. The Caretakers were nice enough to protect him from the elements and evils of the world, But Archer wasn't as naive as the other children, even the older ones... then again, they were all older than he. He appeared to be in his teens, no younger than sixteen, however was likely one of the youngest citizens of Fort Knight in years.
And so he stepped, out the door of the safehouse, and onto the streets. Finding the rest of the orphans out playing with a ball, kicking it about and frustrating some of the adults passing through.
A grin on his face, he simply stepped into the street, venturing to get a look at just what everyone was up to that day.

~ ✗ Fort Knight, your stereotypical desert settlement. Not brimming with people but not empty either, not advanced but not primitive, almost the perfect neutral. Or at least, that's what met the eye. Just cause you put a silencer on a gun doesn't mean it won't shoot a person. The low rumble of a Sandsteamer's engine filled the air with it's distinctive roar as it made it's way through the dirt covered streets. Solo, a man, seemingly in his late teens or early twenties, sat on the back of the vehicle, smoking a hand-rolled cigarette as he watched the towns folk go about their daily routines. Six years of chasing ghosts, all he ever caught were glimpses. A red coat, blond hair, that's all he ever saw. Always out of the corner of his eye. Always gone when he'd turn to look. Vash the Stampede, the man known and feared as the Humanoid Typhoon. Though Solo really didn't care about that, all he cared about was that he was related to Millions Knives. That name. That man. Those eyes. He couldn't forget any of them. They were the last thing he saw in life and the only thing he couldn't lose in death. He would take from Knives what he took from him. Everything. If it took him twelve lifetimes this is how he would spend his unnatural life. Because of Knives, he lost his family. Because of Knives, he lost his home. Because of Knives, he lost his life. Knives even stole his afterlife from him and if Vash could lead him to Knives then he would do ANYTHING he had to do to get the information from him. The Sandsteamer slowly pulled it's way forward, it's pace getting more and more of a delay until finally it came to a stop. Solo stood up, lagging with a slight pull, the chains wrapped around his arms gave a slight clang as they tugged a large coffin up off the metal roof of the Sandsteamer. The driver turned to look at the man, who had obviously hitched a free ride, only to see the hot sun beat down, forming a blurred image out of the farther buildings and people. He stuttered to himself for a second, trying to rationalize how a person could just vanish, before just giving up and going back to his job. The town seemed pretty lively, though no more than a town of that size would be expected. Solo walked down the street, hoping to find a pub to get a cold drink and to try and find some information. As he continued his seemingly mechanically preordained course, Solo took a moment to watch some children playing ball in the street. "Heh, how quaint." He dully commented to himself. Normal life was a pleasant thing to take in now and then. A healthy break from gun smoke and corpses. ✗ ~

"Enough!"

It was loud enough to make anyone jump, and indeed it had made some of the men lose their composure. It definitely quieted the former chaotic, frantic frenzy of chatter. The young woman had stood on top of a barrel of aged red wine, but when she knew she had their attention plopped down upon her bottom on the rim. The seriousness drained from her expression and tugged the sides of her lips into a charming smirk.

"I thought I'd never be able to shut you up." She laughed as she tilted her head to either side, a few cracks emanating from beneath the smooth, tan skin. This group of miscreants and their vixen of a leader ran their meetings, and whole life down in the dreary underground cellar underneath The Nightingale. Thomas had taken a liking to the Lady's company (and assets), and let her use the place for free. They were simply untrackable down there. No one knew of the underground lair but Thomas, the Lady, and her boys. The procession of crooks and whores that were drinking and carrying on above had no clue of the plotting being done underground, and that was how it was going to stay, as long as she had anything to do with it.

"I heard from a delightful little bird Vash the Stampede's location. Ohhh, my boys! From what I understand rumor is not what carried this to me, but someone who has seen him with their eyes, and heard them with their ears. This elusive little mouse will be in our hands soon, but we need to organize..."

She could see a few of them writhe in their seats anxiously, a few began to twiddle their thumbs as the wicked gears in their minds began to churn ideas. That's exactly what she wanted, and she knew it was what he would want. A soft sigh escaped her lips as she leaned her head to the side once more, gazing out into the gang of mostly grimey men, wondering where he was. She knew he was alive, but couldn't put a finger on what had happened to him after the infamous rival battle between her savior and his pansy-mutt of a brother. Indeed, she wondered if he was alright. She was probably the only person in this world besides Vash that cared for his well-being.

The children that played with the ball paused and looked in wonder and awe as a figure stepped out of the Sandsteamer. At first, the child thought their eyes were playing tricks on them, some even rubbed their eyes to make sure they weren't dreaming. It wasn't until the figure stepped out of the machine did one of the children exclaimed, "It's Rain!"

Sure enough, dressed in a blue sleeveless top and in a short skirt, the girl emerged from the transport with a smile on her face as the children crowded around her. The curious residents craned their necks to see if the children's words rang true, and sure enough the popular celebrity of Gunsmoke stood before them wearing her signature white hat. She was shorter than most people thought she was, thought still much taller than the children to reached out for her and asked for her signature.

"Rain!" A girl asked, holding out the ball for her to autograph.

For a moment the celebrity looked puzzled and looked up to the sky. "Nope, I don't think so! Not a cloud in the sky!" She announced. It a took only a short moment for the children to laugh, understanding what she meant. The singer turned her face back to them and winked. "Now, now I'm only 'Rain' on stage! Right now, you can just call me, Genesis. That's my real name. Are you guys coming to my performance tonight?" she asked, pulling out a small black marker from her pocket and signed the rubber ball for the girl.

The children looked at each other solemnly, "We can't... The people in the bar won't let us." One of the boys spoke up, revealing the truth to the singer. Genesis' performance was a highlight topic in the town of Fort Knight, since it was highly advertised. When it was first announced, the mayor's sons who owed the taverns and saloons began fighting for her to perform at their own place. Even when Genesis compromised that she would gladly perform for all three places, the sons still bickered on where she would perform first. In the end, she decided for herself that she'd perform at the Lofty Stool first.

However Genesis didn't appear disappointed as she looked at the children with a gentle smile. "And you know what I say to that, kids? Stupid! Everyone is welcomed! In fact... Here!" From her back pocket, Genesis whipped out a bunch of tickets to her show. She handed one to each of the children, who looked at each other in shock and amazement. "Hehe, Now I got to go. Bye kids!". She waved them away as she the kids chirped their farewells to the star. She stretched her arms above her head, entwining her fingers in with each other, as she sighed happily.

Today was a good day.

Archer stepped out onto the dusty road which trailed out to the main road, through which a massive vehicle had suddenly rolled in upon. A sand steamer! Archer had only seen pictures of those wonderous transports, and heard stories of the excitement they brogught. Once in a while a celebrity or a scary headhunter would stroll off of those long steps and step foot into Fort Knight.
Once in a long long while, It was Vash the Stampede... but Archer wasn't supposed to talk about that. If his name was heard by the wrong ears, it could mean the end of peaceful blue skied days for Fort Knight.
Archer glipsed up in curiosity as the other orphans flocked around the nice blonde girl with the blue skirt. Her smile seemed brighter than even the Mayor's grin at election time. That fat happy old man and his top hat... always wearing a smile. But this girl's seemed genuine, something he was attracted to. Though he didnt speak to her, she was far too beautiful and well... bouncy!
Either way, he chuckled as he watched the way the children behaved around the girl. Even Sandy offered up her favorite blue ball to the girl, which received some sort of enscription. Autographs were usually only given by famous people, right? So then that explained it all! The smile, the Bouncy demeour, the kind presentation of tickets to her "show." And why would the bar keep children from seeing such a show... just what kind of celebrity was she?
So many questions, Archer's lips curled in anticipation. SandSteamers = excitement indeed!

"Mm, where'd I put it? Did we run out?"

Remy scratched at the back of her head lightly, the cool, exposed metal of her arm pressing against the skin of her cheek. "I need it...I can't walk around like this..." She frowned. Where was Archer? He must have run off into town again. She sighed, looking about the home they shared. She noticed one of Archer's sweaters and grabbed it, slipping it over her form. A little big but it would have to do until she found something to cover her exposed metal more naturally. "He couldn't have gotten too far...guess I'll have to go find him." Frowning again, she ventured her way outside and blinked in the harsh light. It was hot, quite hot, the temperature gauge of her mechanized body was quite high and the occular map read-outs displayed the approximate temperature before her sight. She could manage, though, she liked the heat and it wouldn't be wise to remove the sweater just yet ; either stand the heat or get noticed. Remy would most definately choose the former of the two.


"Have you seen Archer?" She asked, approaching a group of the kids he usually hung out with.
"Uh huh, he's over there," one of the them replied, jerking a thumb behind herself.
"Schweet, thanks."
"Isn't it kinda hot for a sweater, Remy?"
"Um...I kinda feel a chill, y'know..." Remy lied with a laugh, walking backwards before turning and darting off into the crowds.
She chuckled, imagining the bewildered expressions that had to be on their faces. It wasn't the first time she'd done something like this to hide her true self, nor was it the first time she had borrowed Archer's clothing.


Remy's eyes searched the crowds for any sign of Archer. Finally, they caught sight of the familiar dirty-blond head of hair and she walked over to him. Grinning, she quickly covered his eyes with her hands. "Boo," she whispered in his ear with a chuckle. "Did we run out of artificial skin spray? I have a little metal showing and I need some. I can't find any, though. So either we ran out, I misplaced it or you're hiding it."

The rush of cold metal against his warm cheeks, heated by the hot sunlight, caused Archer to gasp and arch his back a bit as his muscles tensed in response.
"The point of the game is to hide your identity," He muttered through smiling lips. "If I can guess who you are, you loose, and I beleive I'm one of the only people around who know about those hands of yours." He declared proudly, yet quietly. Archer always knew the best secrets. Vash the Stampede, Remy the Cyborg, and now...
"Wait... isnt that my sweater?" He pointed, after turning to face the girl, just in time to hear her statement about the artificial skin. He chuckled, she hadn't found it? He had hidden it in such a simple place!
"with all that Machinery up there, you'd think that finding a can would be an easy task." he said with a grin, obviously of the girl's three suspicions, the third was the case. "Still, I dont know why you dont just wear gloves, or boots... thats what V- uh... my friend does." A bead of nervous sweat ran down his forhead. No matter, he could play it off... but still, why did he let it slip? He had never had that problem before! Perhaps on some level he had been hoping the Humanoid Typhoon would blow in.
"c'mon... lets go find it..." he chuckled with a grin, shoving his hands into the pocket of his hoodie.
Remy was older than Archer, so much older, one could even say that she was taking care of the boy. A lot of what he knew about the world he had learned it right alongside her. And his passion for mechanics was birthed within her very body. Archer had a special place for the woman, as artificial as she may have been.

"That would be simple, if I certain runt kept the concealant in the open where I could find it," Remy replied with a chuckle, ruffling Archer's hair lightly. "Fair enough and let's keep it that way, shall we?" She added, letting go of his face and covering her hands with the sweater's sleeves again. "Yeah, I borrowed it for the time being. I can't very well walk around exposed like this, in broad daylight anyway." Remy frowned and stuck her tongue out at him. At least that was one of the few parts that was still human and didn't require concealing. "I've better things to do besides searching around for a can of spray....like watching my mechanical a**, for one." She watched a few children sprint by and then focused on the towns inhabitants in their daily throng. "It's a tad to hot to be running around in gloves and such. Boots, I can handle. I'm not a fan of full-blown gloves, though. Fingerless gloves I can work with but they do I poor job at concealing oddities."

An eyebrow arched at the near mention of someone's name, it arched a tad bit higher when the name was avoided. "Quite the secret keeper, aren't you? I guess that works in my favor, though." Remy sighed and wrinkled her nose. "Lead the way then, cap'n." She began to trail behind him. "On second, thought, I'll lead," she grinned, pushing the kid lightly with one hand before darting off with her tongue sticking out.

Archer rolled his eyes, "apperantly secrets are my specialty lately... dont ask any questions and I wont have to lie" he chuckled, brushing a few fingers through his blonde hair, straightening it out from the frizzy mess that the girl had created. He couldnt help but smile brightly, even though Remy was in her early twenties, she seemed to be more of a child than he was at times. He loved every second of it, it was like a breath of fresh air on this desert planet. Then again, at least thats what everyone else said.
He shook his head at the girl, watching her sprint off, tounge stuck out at him yet again. He sprinted allong behind her. IT was difficult to really contend with the woman with all her artificial enhancements. each one of them helping her in some way, even her speed and agility. Luckily, even he wasn't what you could call normal either. His body worked differently than normal peoples, but he tried not to make it so obvious. He couldnt help it when the girl challenged him however.
Coming around a corner, he managed to slip past the girl and dart into the door to the orphanage, catching the attention of a few lazy adults watching their shops and what not. He darted through doorways and past furniture to his room leaping onto his bed, feeling the spring mattress bounce beneath him as he chuckled with amusement.
"Not this time Remy!" he chuckled. reclining casually, despite his heaving chest, breathing heavy.

"But Miss A'shara, I wish you wouldn't give away most of your double dollars to local hospitals and such..."

"Why shouldn't I? It's not like as if I need the money." Genesis stated as she spoke into the blue-tooth like machine attached to her ear. She stood inside the local mart, peering over all the groceries they had. The things here weren't like some of the things back on earth, but it seemed that Genesis had no quarrel identifying what things were good. "Oh my this is a little expensive..." She mumbled looking over some radish-looking item. She turned toward the other aisle and picked up a small crate of eggs and placed them in a woven basket she carried with her. She was careful not to disturb her sleeping pig as it cuddled inside the basket in a soft ball.

"But Miss A'shara, We have to worry about our budget and everything including..."

Genesis giggled on the other line. As if she were psychic, she already started talking before the man got to finish his sentence. "Don't worry, Manager Sean, your account will always be filled with your paychecks." She giggled. She didn't blame him for worrying about his pay check, after all, she discovered that on this planet, people were lucky enough to get by. Maybe that was the reason why she gave away most of the money she earned through her performances. She picked up some sand potatoes and placed them in the basket.

"Oh I wish I could've gone with you, Miss A'shara. I don't see why you are so insistent upon going to such a dreadful place all by yourself. You have heard the rumors, haven't you? That a certain Mr. Vash had been sighted in Fort Knight."

'The point exactly...' Genesis thought to herself. "You worry to much. Anyway, I'm at the counter, I'll talk to you later! Bye!" And she immediately cut off the line. She paid the clerk who looked at her for a moment in shock. She smiled innocently, and once the transaction was done, she quickly made her way out of the store.

"Now, Boka... Where should I take this food to?" She asked, looking down at her pig who opened his six, black, beady eyes, looking up at her with a quizzical look.

Remy looked over her shoulder and chuckled, watching Archer trail behind her. "Loser..." she murmured with a broad grin, picking up her speed as she approached the orphanage. Not this time Archer...I'm gonna win! She thought, dodging a few people lining the street with ease. "Wha? No!" She said with a frown as Archer whipped past her and through the doorway. "Urgh! Archer you runt, come back here!" She called, kicking her run into full gear. Remy continued to murmur between breaths as she entered the orphanage and persued Archer's footfalls. "A-archer..! You bugger..!" She entered his room to find him sprawled on his bed. "No fair.." She leant forward, her hands on her thighs as she fought to catch her breath. "I can't lose...I always win!" Remy groaned lightly, shuffling over to the bed and falling across Archer's form at his midsection before burying her face in the covers. "I'm getting too old for this..." She murmured into them, barely audible.

Archer chuckled from his bed, hearing the girl complain. True, she did always win, but it was about time he got one for himself. Afterall, he had been growing rather quickly the past two years, it was only a matter of time before he matched her.
He was about to reply, however his voice came through as a exasperated grunt, feeling her light, automatomic weight resting across his belly. He chuckled and grunted as he fought to squeeze out from under the girl.
"You wanted that artificial skin right? Well its right over..." His words trailed off as he caught something out his window. that girl again, the famous one. He was curious just what she was doing running around Fort Knight without any kind of protection. Afterall, Mercenaries, headhunters, and outlaws in general frequented the small city all the time, it really was dangerous.
