'It's been a long year

Vash the Stampede
A.K.A;; 'Erickson'

"Six years, is that really all it has been? Six years?" Erickson lifted his glasses a bit with half a smirk sitting on his face. He was seated amongst some fellow town mates not far off the borders of Fort Knight. It was a smaller town, much more quiet then other towns he'd been in. Not only that, he'd been able to stick around this town with ease. Enjoy everyone's company without feeling the shame and guilt for what transpired six years prior to now, "Erik, you act like it's been so much longer!" a woman laughed from behind the bar. He smiled at her kindly, 'It feels like so much more to me sometimes..'

Sighing slightly, Erickson swirled his alcoholic beverage around in circles. He'd lost interest in drinking til he could forget some time ago. Somewhere when he had been searching for something he couldn't find. Being Erickson was the best escape he could ask for, "Still, six years seems like one hundred to some of us, don't you know." Another cackle from the woman behind the bar. He spun around in his chair, facing the door and standing up, "I'll be on my way, now. Got an early morning down in the yard with some of the kids," he smiled happily. Everyone watched as he left, waving goodbye, "That man spends so much time with the kids of this village. It's nice to see someone interested. Since six years ago, they've been so distraught. With Erik around, they seem better."

(ok so now what ? gonk I was just waiting for Vash to reply to seeing Meryl coming towards him as he was waliking into town. But now the new Vash has supposedly been hiding here the whole time. Are we starting over or what?)

}{OOC:: If it's not okay, I can edit my post. But I chose to start the character over. After reading over previous posts, I wasn't to fond of the direction it came from. I wanted to go from my own angle as opposed to adopting someone else's idea.}{

(ok) Meryl blinked again and the vision vanished. Her shoulders slumped and she continued on to her hotel room. 'I guess I got hit harder than I thought I better go lie down. Vash where are you I miss you so much. I guess I'll need to try and find Knives and that girl.'

Its not that difficult
To tell that We're Different.
But is that really the most logical choice...
To point a Gun in the face of an Angel?

-Archer Ray

Archer rolled his eyes at the girls question about the weapon knives. No, they werent talking about blades, they were talking about a person, something about killing him for money. Why would killing a man pay them anything, even if he had some cash on him, it was doubtful that it would be enough to go around the entire group.
"They're talking about him... something about a bounty." He poitned out, thinking further. "wait.. you think... its the Wanted man?"
Archer hadn't ever heard stories about Knives before, he was encouraged to keep his distance from places like the Nightengale and the Sheriffs office, something about hearing stories that he would have preferred to have never known. Vash never mentioned him, even though their faces were mounted up side by side. Those few times Archer was lucky enough to talk to the man, the topic was likely blown off.
"Maybe Genesis knows..." he pointed out with a sigh as he turned back to Remy, a look of determination in his eyes.
"C'mon Remy, Lets go find her... she knows tons of people, plus she travels all over Gunsmoke, right? Surely she's heard of this Knives guy!"

((sorry folks, been swamped with RPS,
but im bringing trigun back.))

"The heavens cry out
the earth is a sea of blood
The past is poluted with sin
The future is what I make it...

His body had healed completely in the past hour or so. The silence of the room was deafening, save for the soft breathing of that woman. She had fallen asleep... Now was his chance to slip away. He would depart in the Dead of night, while everyone was distracted with that whore of a performer dressed in bright colors, and Skip town. He wouldn't stop till he reached the next major city, these small towns were too risky, for this very reason.
Slowly, softly, carefully, he slipped the sheets from his clothed body and placed his feet upon the foor, hearing the boards creak beneath his fit and muscular frame. He cursed under his breath as he slowly peered back in the woman's direction, seeing no movement, he exhaled.
He picked up his cloak once again and slowly moved towards the door, easing it open.
Softly, carefully, he sliped through it before shutting it silently.
"Oy... where are you goin big bro?" A rugged voice called.
"You plannin on leavin us again?!" another shreiked.
"She told us you'd try to abandon us all over again... Dont make us fill you full'o lead Mastah"
He slowly turned his icy blue eyes upon the crew of men dressed in black throughout the room. Many of them were just as disfigured as the Mercenaries he could hear outside, the rest of them were normal looking, with dangerous looking weapons. Their suits decorated with silver buttons and cross-like orniments.
"You wont have a chance... now out of my way, you trash." he spoke defiantly, glancing about the room, his hand held to his hip, Cloak slung over his left shoulder rather slopiliy.
"Knives-sama! we're gonna bring you to your senses! Even if we have to give our lives!!!" one yelled loudly, lifting his gun. The rest of the crowd following suit.
His icy eyes scanned the room slowly, calculating many of them as well as the power their weapons packed. If even one man fired, his cover would be blown.
Slowly, his right hand reached to his belt, unfastening a clasp over a large sheathed gothic style knife.
Like a gunslinger, he prepared to draw, waiting for the sound of Gunfire to give him his signal to strike.

Remy continued to fiddle with her wound, poking and prodding it...until she managed to tear it further. She inhaled sharply in shock and looked about. "Well, that wasn't very clever..." she murmured, turning back to Archer. "A bounty?" She blinked and arched a brow. "Could be, I dunno," she added with a shrug. Remy's eyes darted back to the brutes that had gathered in the streets again, frowning. It irked her having a nice day spoiled by ingrates like them. They could never get enough bloodshed or pain from unsuspecting people, could they? She looked back at Archer, a grin broadening on her countenance. "Genesis, eh? That your girlfriend?" She teased with a smirk, poking his cheek. "Or at least the girl you wish was your girlfriend." The smirk grew as she walked ahead of Archer. "Alright, Arch. Let's go find your love interest then. It'll be awesome watching you flail about." She chuckled and remained silent, waiting for him to take the lead. If anyone knew where the girl was, it had to be Archer. Remy didn't fancy herself a stalker and knowing people's whereabouts when it wasn't particularly neccessary or beneficial wasn't her bag.

What's wrong? I've been waiting to grow up...
And for some sort of memory that I have forgotten...
I hope that my tiny wishes and dreams...
Will not be forgotten...
And I whisper that to the heavens...

"I wonder what's at the end of this vast ocean...
It's probably something very different from anything here...
I wonder if I could I see it from the clouds...
Like the children playing their trumpets by the angels...

If you listen carefully, somewhere in the forest...
There's a tiny voice only I can hear...
Should I soar away like in a dream...
To a place far away from here with no one else?

          To ask so many questions...
But have no answers to say...
          Turning around and thinking back...
          I've had a secret for a while...
That has slipped back from my memories...

And I whisper that to the heavens...

In the dark night sky, in the midst of the bright, shining stars...
Was that the place I was born?
          I want to believe that...
I came here from another world...

          To ask so many questions...

          Approaches me...

I didn't know this, but a while back...
          There were tiny whispers...
          Pay attention and listen up...
We'll find those forgotten memories again...

          I'll never let go...
          Of my forgotten memories again...

The final instruments strummed in a fade, and then the applause came in an eruption of delight and cheers. The spotlight beamed down upon her like a ray of sunlight in the night, causing her to sweat slightly. "Thank you everyone!" Genesis said into the microphone as the music ended. She nodded her head, and waited for everyone to let out the energy from their applause. She thanked them again, and looked around at all the smiling faces, and looked back with a cheerful demeanor. "I'd love nothing more than to stay here forever, but that'll be all for today!"

She chuckled lightly at the soft cries of distress. "Hehe, That's okay! We can always meet again! We can meet all together again someday!" She uplifted the crowd's spirits with the wave of her hand. She spoke so casually, it was almost completely believable. "Until then! May everyone live a long and healthy life! Until we meet again! Bye bye and goodnight!" Genesis bowed her head, and walked off stage, leaving behind a cheering crowd in the bar.

Genesis sighed contently, as she placed down the microphone on one of the tables behind the stage. A few of the lighting people nodded and congratulated her on an excellent performance. She nodded back at them, and walked back into her dressing room, humming the tune of her last song. There was nothing like being on stage with a lot of fans screaming at her for more, to her, it was much ore rewarding that dealing with the issues back on Earth, back at C.H.I.O.R. She quietly shut the door behind her as she entered her dressing room. Boka, of course, was there to greet her, standing on her vanity. The girl chuckled and stroked her pet lovingly. "Another performance... Well done!" She nodded.

-Archer Ray

Archer's face became tainted with a light pink hue as his friend teased him.
"girlfriend? Tch... whatever, we've hardly ever even talked, how can she be my girlfired?" he asked, arguing but attempting to keep his tone down. However taking a moment, he relaxed his furrowed brow and breathed for a moment, glancing back in the direction of the Bar.
"Look... I know for a fact that whoever this Knives guy is, he's in trouble. But we cant be sure until we know who he is... thats all it is." he lied, the smallest hint of a smile on his face as he explained himself to Remy. However, as he spoke, Andrew's words echoed in his head, that the girl had wanted to see him personally was a big deal! But he had been held up, it wasnt his fault he missed her show! It was life or death!
"Lets get out of here..." he finally agreed, leading the pair of them back the way they came, just in time. Not a moment later than they had slipped away, a pair of Mercenaries had happened allong the Alleyway.
He pushed through the crowd, tugging Remy allong behind him. It was as if the entire city had somehow made their way into that tiny saloon just to watch the girl's performance. Was she really that good? He would have to remember to research her later! At least tune into one of the music stations on the Satellite once in a while rather than the dull news.
He made it around the backside of the building, and let out a sigh of releif to find that Andrew was not standing watch at the girl's changing room door. No doubt that she would be inside.
Slowly, quietly, he moved towards the door, however paused as he happened allong a window, peering in innocently to see if Genesis was, in fact, inside.

Vash the Stampede
A.K.A;; 'Erickson'

Vash sat in the comfort of his small home. Which was more like a shack, to be honest. But he enjoyed the solitude it provided him on the nights he would remember what happened with Knives. Then there was Wolfwood. Everything. Everything in general. He was sitting in the main room on a chair by itself. He was tired, very tired, but he wasn't ready for sleeping. Not yet, anyway. So, he stood up, wandering to the front door of his small place and stepped outside on to the porch. He sat down, looking out at nothing in particular. His thoughts were invading his mind, but he kept most of them at bay.

'I'm sick of living in solitude, but there is nothing more I can do.'

'People can change.'

Meryl stumbled into her room, she glanced at her broadcasting station and groaned. "That's right I was supposed to go to Genisis's concert."

She put her hand to her throbbing head, "Maybe I'll feel better if I took a shower."

The small woman moved to the bathroom, shedding her clothing on the way. Turning on the water, she stepped under the spray. Then leaned forward to rest her head against the cool tiles. As the events and disappointments of the day finally overwhelmed her, in a state of mild shoc, Meryl sobbed softly, her shoulders shaking as the coursing water hide her tears as they fell.

"Oh Vash where are you, why can't I find you? You said you'd come back you promised."

She pounded her small fist against the shower wall in frustration.

Genesis stepped out of the shower for the second time that day and stepped into her dressing room. She always believed that a cold shower was the best cure after every performance, and she followed this tradition ever since she became such a huge star. She had a towel wrapped around her bust, and let it curve down her body, ending around the middle of her cream-colored thighs. She had tied her long hair back in a ponytail, revealing a little bit more of her skin to the peeping Archer. The singer looked down, at Boka who started to bark at the window like some kind of dog. "Hmm? What is it boy?"

Genesis noticed that he was looking at the window and smiled. "Oh! Good idea! We should let in some fresh air." Genesis' attention was on her pig that she didn't even notice the peeping tom when she walked to the window. She pushed her hand against the glass, letting the window swing open, probably smacking right into Archer's face. The pig slapped one of its hands against his head, like as if he was face palming.

Pikachu Kirby is not impressed.

"So you really have changed."

Her voice rang out, but it was soft compared to the racket in the other room. Leaning her head to the side, she gazed at him quite confoundedly, her back also arching as she was still waking up, and her body was still half-asleep. The loyal servant's eyes were cold for a moment as she came to the conclusion that Vash must have gotten his right mind and cracked him open, twisting him into not even a sliver of his former self.

She could not look upon him in disgust, however, and gazed at him even softer. A glaze came over her eyes, and a black liquid could be seen piling at her tear ducts. She wiped it away, though, before it had the chance to fall, and walked up to him slowly. The boys backed off, knowing that she would have this handled. She hadn't lost him yet. There was that coldness at the back of his mind that she could sense, and it was showing in his icy eyes.

There was no fear in her eyes as she approached him, only familiarity, and she reached a hand up to brush the skin of his jawline.

"I would only ask to speak with you, Master. I've missed you."

She spoke softly, allowing her hand to fall rag-dollishly to her side as she gazed up into his eyes with a strong will; she could only hope it would work.
