She stuck her tongue out at him, then smiled.
"Okay. You win."
They continued walking. She saw the bar and sighed.
"Hey, let's go in. Maybe they have sandwiches or something."
She entered the bar, ignoring the whistles and cat calls that were directed at her. Loriee was used to it. Besides, if any of them tried to make an advancing move, she'd knock them flat on their face before they had time to think.
"Keep it down, boys, she's with me." Hector saw a table in the back, and said, "Let's sit over there." Him and Loriee made their way to the back of the bar, with Hector occasionally looking at the other customers looking for old friends, or suspicious looking men.
Azrael removed his duffel bag from the flatbed of the truck. He began roaming the streets looking for some entertainment. He found a news stand and approached. "Excuse me how much for one newspaper?" Apparently the salesman was deaf and pointed to a sign on the outer rim of the news stand saying "$1.00" Azrael put a wrinkled dollar bill from his wallet into the mans hand and took a paper. It read "LIFE-IMPAIRED DOUBLED!"

The now sober Azrael continues to walk and finds a hotdog vendor. He purchases a hot dog and a Dr. Pepper from the man and returns to the truck. On his way he notices Hector and Loriee enter a bar. He continues to eat.

She followed him smiling as he told the other boys to back off. It was quite chivalrous of Hector to do such a thing. Sitting down in the back, Loriee put her elbows on the table, resting with her chin on her hands, looking around the place.
Pretty soon, the bar tender walked over to their table.

"Can I get anything for you?" The man asked them, claning out an empty glass as he spoke.
"Sure can. How about, two sandwitches with the works."
The bartender nodded and headed back to the bar, where he began fixing the meals for them. Loriee continued to gaze around the room absentmindedly, ignoring the stares she was getting from the other men.
"Oops," Hector said out loud, "I forgot to turn on the safety on my rifle." Hector took his Remington off of his back and took his time turning it on. Half of the men turned away. Looks like some people don't have plans for the next hour, he thought. Hector knew that in times like this, many people asserted their authority, especially over young women.

He sat in a corner of the bar alone with his head lowered in a sort of melancholy way. The bar smelt of booze and LID's that haven't been home for days until those new faces showed up. A boy who looked to be a few years younger than myself and a mature looking girl about the same age.

"Another one Sarge?" Sheila, with her usual bruised face and bad application of cover up always knew I could never get tired of drinking but she kept on asking. "Sure."

Shiori went to a store to get something better to wear."How much for all of this?"The clothing came down to $16.47."Thats cheap, but it works for me."Shiori went back to the truck and changed into her new clothing. She was tired of her hair being the way it was,so she changed it."I'm not really hungrey.....I'll try to find Azrael."Shiori then got out of the truck and went off to find him.

Loriee turned to look at him, a mischevious glint in her eyes.
"It is too turned on." She said it softly, so that only Hector could hear what she had said. Loriee punched his arm playfully, that cute smile of her's playing across her features.
"What, don't think I could handle these tough guys?"
She was kidding, of course. Loriee didn't really want to take on a bar full of drunk men. But the thought of it made her giggle. It would be quite amusing.

"Here's your food."
The bartender had returned with two good sized subs, full of meat and greens with a side of some soggy looking potato chips. Loriee grabbed a plate and took a big bite out of the sandwitch.
"Mmmmm! This is good!"
Of course, anything tasted good after being away from food for so long. It had been about three days since she'd had a decent meal.

((^.^; sorry, had to go to work. I'm back now tho))
((Daaamn, missed out on a lot eek ))
"No it wasn't," he whispered back quietly. "I forgot to turn it on after shooting those two zombies back there on the road." Hector took his plate from the bartender and gave him a 'thank you' before taking a bite out of his own sub. "Oh my goodness! This is delicious." After swallowing it, he asked the bartender if they could have a glass of water each to help down the sub. The bartender nodded and went back to the bar to retrieve their glasses. "You'd be surprised how good food tastes after a week of crackers and Coke." Hector took another bite out of his sandwich and looked out the window. "Almost looks like the before time..."
((you'll catch up quick don't worry))
