Ms. LaFaye

Darkness was almost normal now in the school teacher's apartment, right along with silence. Currently the woman was lacing up her tennis shoes and tying her hair into a tight bun. Long locks weren't exactly the smartest or safest to have but Alex just hadn't thought to take a pair of scissors to herself. Despite the passage of time she was probably still in shock. Not completely unreasonable given the circumstances. But it really didn't matter anyway, the point was she needed clean water and something to eat and if she had to fight those things all the better to have her hair out of easy grabbing range.
The same rule applied to clothing. She didn't exactly like the outfit, but it was practical for the excursion. Alexandra had learned the hard way that loose comfy clothes weren't exactly choice attire for a zombie invasion. So her options were limited, and without taking the time to alter her regular clothes the gag outfit from christmas would work just fine. A pair of skin tight black pants and the matching sleeveless top which, unfortunately, had a rather low v-neck that she had no safety pins to clip shut. The outfit had been thrust upon her by her brothers and she had been forced to parade around the kitchen in it, red as brick. Sure it wasn't that bad really and the belts that came with it made good holsters now. It was just that it wasn't her style at all and her siblings had used that and her single status to tease her until she had been ready to strangle them all.
Taking a breath and putting a stop to the reminising Alex opened the door to her apartment and left, making sure to lock up.

It didn't take long to walk to the store. As she had learned during the first day her rust bucket of a car, while trustworthy, made far too much noise to be safe. Better off to walk quietly and calmly down the street since it wasn't too far and she could take care of anything that came after her rather easily as long as there weren't too many and she stayed in area's she knew. Uneasy, as usual, Alexandra held onto the handle of her kitchen knife so tight her knuckles turned white. Her second weapon was stuck firmly in her belts. A rather unimpressive weapon, if it could even be classified as such. What used to be a yard-stick, broken and stained with what she could only assume was cherry filling. Or perhaps blood, that was possible too. Alex had been holding onto it for dear life when she had left the school the first day of the invasion and hadn't had the heart to get rid of it.

Remmi Denzi

Seeing the majority of the safe havens population had gathered, Remmi cleared his throat. He wasn't nervous often, but he felt the spotlight upon him, and the eyes of most of the town upon him.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we have abit of a situation. There is an estimated 500 infected, possibly more, moving to our position. Remember, shoot for the heads, and if you're bitten or recieve a flesh wound..do those around you a favor and put a bullet in your head. There is no cure, and you'd do best to not guilty another's mind with your death. Now then. Climb on the wall and ready firearms and weapons alike. The creatures can and will likely attempt to climb the wall to attack you. Watch your fellow man. Good luck." Remmi found himself half-hearted throughout the speech, his tone very flat and lacking of courage these people needed. Emotion had never been his friend in the past. He climbed up his watchtower, prepared his rifle, and looked down the scope. It was windless today..perfect for a longshot kill..

A huge boom of the high caliber rifle broke the silence, two of the L.I.s dropped to the ground lifeless once more. The infected began sprinting toward the wall. Now was the time for the courageous..
Hector scaled a ladder on the concrete wall, which came up to a small open pocket in the top of the wall. He found a high-caliber rifle in the pocket, which sure was handy. Hector shot at the speeding horde, dropping two at a time if the round was powerful enough and the zombies were aligned behind each other right. The Russian continued to the fire at the L.I.'s as they sprinted towards the all important wall.
((sorry, my modem's being a... very not nice person... to me right now. I lose connection, usually for another 12 hours, at the least, after about four hours of being up. that includes phones, and, surprisingly, the tv. so, don't expect me to be on often for a while. I'll try to be online when I can.)) Basil was shocked when he heard the news. L.I.s? What was he supposed to defend himself with, the coffeemaker? his eyes drifted to the metal pipe he always kept with him. Looks like he'd have to get up close this time...

Loriee stared at the man for a moment, obviously thinking about something.
"You guys got any flamethrowers by any chance?" For some reason she was in the mood for barbequed zombie.
"They were banned from production and is rarely found anywhere!" he yelled down between head shots. "Even if you did have one, you most likely wouldn't have enough fuel! Plus, burning zombies can still climb the wall and bite you!"
Basil walked somewhat calmly towards the gates, pipe in hand. He looked up at the sky. Wow... the sky's so clear... What nice weather. He continued to stare up at the sky as he walked towards the gates, right up until he lead himself straight into a pole. "Huh? Ah... right, right. The invasion." He sprinted now, not wanting to miss any of the fun.

"Not if they're piles of ash." She muttered under her breath.
Turning back to the man, she batted her eyes innocently.
"But you can get me one, right?"

Remmi Denzi

Remmi ran through ammunition at a rediculous speed, his arm already extremely sore and aching from chambering ammo non-stop. He stopped half-way through his reloading, looking to the walls infront of him. Their forces were depleting fast, as L.I.Ds fell from the barricades, the infected shredding them before looking to the next victim. Using his lighter, Remmi quickly ignitied a molotov and threw it amongst the infected, setting a good deal of their forces ablaze. It wouldn't stop them, but it would slow them down.

The defenses downfall was soon to come, it would seem, as larger stronger infected enraged infront of the walls. In mad frenzy, Remmi witnessed the monster grab hold of a lesser and throw him up in the air out of spite and rage, the L.I. finding it's mark upon a victim while falling back to the ground. Sighting through, Remmi quickly found his mark upon the large beast's head, putting a single round through it and dropping him. Were these things adapting?

Bullets rained down upon the oncoming hordes, corpses lying all about the dirt, and more to take their place as the infected clawed at the walls.

"Stay sharp, drop the big ones!" Remmi shouted to his new temporary companions. Perhaps the newcomers had good use afterall.

Remmi simply gave the girl a blank stare down below him, the amount of blatant intolerance to her question burning through his vision, before returning to fire upon the enemies.

[[ Edited to answer to a post. ]]
Basil's mouth gaped wide open when he saw a zombie gliding gracefully over the gates. "I had hoped I'd never have to see the day when a brainless creep would surpass us on the evolutionary chain..." Another zombie flew over the fence, it's arms flailing wildly in an attempt to catch him from the air. Basil split its head open as it fell at him, almost laughing aloud at the pure futility of the situation. "we're all going to die... perhaps it's better that way."

She sighed, shrugging her shoulders. Geez, people were so incredibly uptight around here. She would have been better off asking him if she could use the rod shoved up his a**.
Oh well. Looks like she'd be kicking it old school. Hefting her shotgun up, she went to stand near the gates, waiting for the first wave of zombies to approach.
Hector felt like he was shooting a mile a minute, dropping the big ones so fast you couldn't even count a second between shots. Another big one threw up a lesser one. Hector shot him just before he pounced on him, so he was splattered with brains and coagulated blood. The corpse fell down the outside of the wall as Hector resumed shooting the zombies. He then took his Remington in one hand. With a rifle in each hand, he began to take out the big ones at twice the rate.
Basil felt like he was playing some deranged form of pong. he ran from place to place, "killing" the flying zombies that got past the snipers as they fell.

Remmi quickly slid down the ladder, pulling out his side-arm. He noticed a fatal flaw occuring in the situation, the door reinforcers on this side were under repair, and not fully functional. The simple metal doors began to buckle at the slams and forces behind it, dings and bumps began occuring on their side of the door. Remmi quickly moved a barbed wire fencing to cover the space right behind the door. They had been designed for desperate measures, and that was exactly what was going to occur. As he finished placing in the last bolt, the door buckled open and the infected began to hang up on the barbing, their blood draining and seeping into the dry dirt.

Remmi poured hot lead into the heads of each hung up L.I. Not one infected could make it through. They had to hold,
