Basil was about to order some coffee when he realised that he'd forgotten to bring money with him. Ugh... I didn't think I'd need it, seeing as there's an apocalypse I'm currently in the middle of. Instantly his thoughts flew back to his old town, and as he remembered all the people he left behind, the life he knew he'd never have again, all the friends he'd lost, and his sister, dying right before his eyes, a small tear dripped down his cheek. He shook his head, both as an effort towards expelling the past from his mind, and as a defiant refusal of the world's deteriorating state. Basil sighed deeply. "I don't have the luxury of dwelling on the past right now... I need to find a place to sleep, first." He walked slowly out of the building, almost appearing uncertain of his movements.
