Rita pushed herself up onto her knees and wiped her eyes. Without her father she was alone in the world, a feeling she wasn't used to. Rita didn't bother trying to stand up, she knew she was already having a hard time just sitting there. Wow, I make a horrible paramedic, I can't even take care of myself! She rubbed her face and sighed heavily. If I can't eat or sleep then how am I supposed to help the wounded? Her head was beginning to hurt from thinking, " Okay, now that I'm up here...how do I get back down?" she asked herself, taking a look around.

Loriee shivered with delight as she kissed her again.
"Well, there is a shortage of rooms... hmm, I suppose you're right." She didn't want to seem too eager, but she definately didn't want to say no.

Basil walked over to the gates, noting that the guards seemed unused to the weapons they were holding. They're probably fighting out of fear... wouldn't be surprised to one day see a seven year old holding an AK-47. He sighed, walking past the ill-prepared militia guards and into the city. Why did he survive? Why did everyone else have to die? The world was a smoking wreck... What was the point of living anymore?

"Yeah, but remember, it's not going to be like that." He smiled at her. "So... what now?" Hector asked.

Rita slowly got to her feet, wobbling slightly as she made her way to the edge of the roof. She looked down, suddenly feeling dizzy, " Bad idea, I'll kill myself if I jump from here," Rita backed away from the ledge and staggered over to the other side, finding another building a couple feet away that was shorter than the apartment building she was on.

Basil was still having his little self-pity episode when he walked straight into a street light, rebounding onto the ground. Damned pole... get in someone else's path. He looked around confusedly, trying to remember what he was going to do.

The young woman was now outside there only 1 or 2 people walking around but not a lot, she looked for a phone and finally spotted one she took it off the hook but the wire was dead,"Damn." she softly said slamming the phone back on the jack, she placed her hand on her hip thinking, now what was she going to do.
