Welcome to Gaia! ::

Rita was in her room just sitting on the bed. She couldn't sleep. She was tired as hell, but for some reason her eyes refused to close and her mind wouldn't shut up about the recent events. Rita sighed and rubbed her face. Might as well forget sleep. She got up and went over to the bathroom, taking a quick shower. After she got dressed she quietly left her room. Maybe she could take a little walk and think for a while. Rita was still outside her room door when she smelled food. She shook her head. It smelled good, but she couldn't eat. Ever since she killed her father she refused to eat breakfast without him.
((Gee, what about lunch and dinner?))

Hector turned off the stove when he was finished cooking the food. He took the plates, silverware, and juice, and sat them down on a table near the kitchen. Hector sat down, happy to enjoy the second excellent meal in days,

Finished with her meal, Loriee went and traded in her bathrobe for her clothes. She walked back into the kitchen and grabbed a piece of toast she'd overlooked, then walked out into the hallway, munching on the food, wanting to see if any of the others were awake.
((Lol, she eats lunch and dinner, she'd probably be dead by now if she didn't eat anything for the whole day))

Rita snuck down the hall silently, heading for the way out. Well, atleast I'm now aware that mostly everyone is up... she thought. When she got out she found a couple guards standing by the door. She wasn't expecting to see them there. One of them noticed her coming out and stepped in her way, " Hey, aren't you the new paramedic?" He asked as he looked her up and down, " You're just a kid,"
Rita pressed herself against the building and sidestepped away from the guard.
" Hey," again the guard got in her way, " Where are you going, kid? Where's your mommy and daddy?" he mocked, making the other guard laugh slightly.
Rita was beginning to get a little irritated with the guy, " If you'll excuse me, I'd appreciate it if you'd stop harassing me and move out of the way,"
Hector quickly downed his breakfast. He was glad to be full for the first time in days. Hector cleaned up the plates, rinsed them off, and put them in the dishwasher. He then made his way to the living room and turned on the TV, curious about any and all news that was on.
[~Azrael~]

Azrael wakes up from his daylong slumber and showers. A few minutes later he exits the shower drying off his hair then the rest of his body and gets dressed. He had already prepped clothes for what he thought would be a two day long trip alone to the city but turned into a 6 hour drive with company. In his spare change of work clothes he pours himself a bowl of fruity pebbles and chows down. After another couple of minutes he cleans his bowl and gets on his laptop.
A news channel flickered to live, revealing a news reporter that standing not so far away from his truck.

"Earlier today, a group of six survivors arrived without any assistance from the L.I.D., which is indeed a rarity. They were located later and were enrolled into the L.I.D. by choice, and one person had been revealed to already be a member. Many people have not joined the army, but the local general hopes that the recent surge in recruitment will encourage more people to sign up."

"A day in town and I made the news." He stood up and walked outside of his room, just in time to see Azrael and Loriee. "So how are you guys enjoying your rooms?"
" And what if I don't?" The guard asked in a challenging way, " What's a kid gonna do?"
Rita didn't want to make any trouble, but this man gave her no other choice, " Don't underestimate me," In one quick movement she spun a hard kick into his jaw, sending him sprawling to the ground. The other guard rushed to help his friend up, but didn't bother with Rita. Rita sighed, this was a waste of her time. Forget the walk. She went back inside and started heading back to her room, silently ticked at the fact that she was already getting crap from other L.I.D members.
Hector saw a girl turn into their hallway. "Oh, hello. You must be the survivor we picked up early in the morning. I don't think we met, I'm Hector."
Rita stopped to face Hector, " Nice to meet you, I'm Rita," she replied, smiling slightly. She really hoped Hector wasn't like the guards.
"We have two free rooms, feel free to take whichever one you like. However, we have six people in our group, and one room is a storage room, so two people are sharing beds."
Rita nodded slowly, " Okay, got it," she replied, suddenly thinking of her old home and a life with her father. Rita looked down at the ground. Without him she felt empty, " Thanks," Maybe that walk wouldn't have been so bad, " So, uh, where did you live before the zombies came in?" she asked, trying to start a small conversation.
((I don't know how to respond to that...))
((Heh, sorry, I'll edit the last post and make it so you can))
"On the New York border. Would've been slower without my truck." He leaned back against the wall. "I found my dogs dead and three zombies in my house."
