After a moment of standing there with the refrigerator door wide open and his hands still tapping away at the bottle, he closed the door and walked to the living room. 'Gods I'm antsy as ********, what the hell is wrong with me? I'm a Quileute,' He told himself, taking a calming breath. He wanted to phase and just run, but he couldn't. Not yet anyway. Maybe once he explained everything that's what he could do. Just take Cari with him and head for La Push and don't stop until they got there. It wouldn't take long, but it just might be long enough for him to calm his nerves. With that in mind he twisted the lid off of his Revive [the vitamin water] and sat down next to Cari, not taking a drink just staring at the bottle. He knew she had questions, and he'd gladly answer them without lying.
User ImageTaking his free hand, Cariela started working her thumbs into his wrist muscles. Her mother worked as a yoga instuctor, so the girl knew a lot of little tricks to keeping yourself calm. And this was one of them. If did correctly, the rubbing of the wrist muscles would send relaxing messages to the brain, which in term, would send them to the rest of his body. She didn't stop working as she spoke. "What is... exactly out there that your so afraid of?" Her eyes were serious and they stared into his own black ones, though he wasn't looking at her at the moment. The girl leaned a little bit closer to him, slightly resting her cheek against his shoulder. She was trying to gain his body warmth without it looking like she was cold, because, in truth, it was just a comforting warm. She wasn't cold, just a little scared, and the warmth of his skin had a calming affect.

Eli sighed comfortably as Cari worked on the muscles in his wrist. Her hands were cold compared to his, but it was relaxing and he felt more eased, though he was still worried. He should have known, when she'd asked her first question, that he should have been prepared but.. well, to be honest they didn't exactly give you lessons on how to explain things like this in school. "Well, to explain it, first I kinda have to tell you about the legend of the Quileutes, up in La Push, you know?" He asked, though it was a rhetorical question, one not really requiring an answer. "Back when the tribe was, well, still a traditional definition of a tribe, it was said that they could transform into wolves, because they had descended from wolves. That they were what you would call werewolves." He picked at the label on the bottle as he spoke.

"And it was also said that there were others. Cold Ones, who were the enemies of the Quileutes because they were the living dead who drank blood to survive. Vampires. But these vampires said they were different. Vegan, if you will, and that they only fed on the blood of animals. So, Elias Black, I think his name was, made a truce with them. They were to not step onto Quileute lands, and to not harm another human." Eli said and licked his lips, looking at Cari, resting her head against his shoulder. "The Cullens are those vampires. And those legends about Quileutes being able to transform into wolves? Not so much of a legend, as fact. And now," Eli said taking a breath and scratching the back of his neck with his free hand. "There's another vampire. Not part of the Cullen group, and not one we've encountered before."

Biting at his lip he thought a moment. "I need you to know that I'm not lying, and that you can trust me in this." Eli said and waited for her to say something. He knew that too much at once would overload her brain and make her spill out a bunch of questions that he wouldn't even have the time to answer one before she'd be asking another. Twisting the cap off of his Revive he finally took a drink of it. It was cold and sweet smelling, ironically just like the bloodsucker that was headed towards Forks.

[By the way, I hope you don't mind me calling her Cari... xP I'm too lazy to type the whole name out and I figure that if they're imprints to each other, they're gonna have pet names for each other and that Cari can be his for her... Just a thought, if you don't want me to call her Cari that's fine, I'm just being a lazy a** over here.]
User ImageCariela was a very open minded person, usually. She took in the facts silently, eyes turned downward at the bottle of water. Her eyes widened when he said that the Cullens were vampires. Ah, so that beautiful family was different after all. She knew something about that family rang false. A family of vegan vampires, just peachy. At least they weren't a threat, at least to her, a human. The next statement was a little puzzling. So... The Quileutes were still, today, werewolves? This fact excited her greatly; she loved wolves. He looked at her seriously for a moment, telling her she had to trust him. She made sure to fully look at him when answering. "Don't worry, Eli. I DO trust you and believe you, but... How do YOU tie into this story? Are you one of the Quileute werewolves...?" She couldn't help but also wonder why he was telling her all this. Obviously, it was desined to be a secret; why did he have to tell her?

[[Na, I don't mind.]]

"Yea, just a bit," Eli said and bit at his lower lip, getting an idea. "It would be easier just to show you, if you wouldn't mind it. I could also take you up to see Billy, he can explain this better than I could... I suck at verbal storytelling," Eli said with a small chuckle. He looked at her face, analyzing it for the first time, and knew that she was confused and had more questions, but she wasn't lying. She did trust him, he could see it in her eyes. It was almost a relief that he wouldn't have to phase just to prove it to her, though he felt like it would be necessary. Most people would feel crazy after a while if they didn't visibly see what they were believing in, himself included. It's why he could never believe in God; he believed in good and bad spirits. At least you had current proof of them.
User ImageThe girl's eyes brightened when the told her he would rather just show her what he ment. Nodding her head excitingly, she barely heard his other request. It took her another moment to nod at his other comment. "Alright, we can go see Billy if it would be easier for you." she replied, but made no movement to move. She was too comfortable from the warmth of his body against her cheek. Hey, did that have to do with being a big wolf too? She decided to voice her question. "Is this warmth like from the wolf thing?" Remembering she still had a grip on his wrist, she gently twisted their hands together, lacing their fingers like shoe laces.

[[Sorry it's a little short; I just got back from a dance and I'm pretty tired.]]

Eli nodded when she agreed to go over to Billy's. It made him feel bad that he was sort of dumping the whole explanation onto Billy, but it made him feel like less of an idiot trying to explain it all by himself. At least I tried though, Eli thought, he's gotta give me that. He was twisting the cap off of his vitamin water when she'd asked her question and he gave a small nod. "Yea, I don't really get the heat though, really. I guess it's nature's way of evening things out, you know?" Another hypothetical, he was really on a roll with those. "The Cold Ones against the Walking Furnaces," Eli joked, making himself laugh at his own joke because it was kind of true. After taking a drink of his vitamin water he managed to get one last drink before Cari gently rearranged the position of her hands on his. He'd nearly forgotten that her hands were there, his body heat warming her hands and making them just as warm as he was.

"Well, I guess it's time to get up then," he said and then realized something. He was gonna have to strip. A perverted thought crossed his mind but he closed his eyes and shook his head, brushing the thought away from his mind. There was no way in heaven or hell, if they existed, that he'd do anything like that so soon, even if she was his imprint. "I'll just um... well," Eli said, a bit flustered now that he was actually going to phase. He hoped to the spirits he wasn't blushing, though he probably was. He could feel the heat on his cheeks from the blood rushing to the surface. He hoped she wouldn't point it out. "I'll just go phase then," he managed, but not moving. He was too embarrassed to move just yet. I'm never gonna hear the end of this later, he thought to himself.

It's all right, I totally understand.
By the way, I might be getting an orignal RP up soon, would you care to see what I got?
Me and a friend [Rami Hunter] are discussing it right now and I'd really love it if you could join us.
User ImageThe angel laughed humoresly at his stupid little joke. It was funny, but also one of those cheeze jokes someone said to try to be funny, but failed at it. Cariela nodded at his comment about leaving, gently unfolding her hands from him and fully sitting up on the couch. She streched out her arms over her head in a dancer like pose, even up on her tippy-toes. A light yawn formed on her jaw, and when she did yawn, it sounded like a kitty-cat yawning. She covered her mouth with her hand when she noticed what she had sounded like, growling to herself in her thoughts. But, to her suprise, he was blushing on his own accord, having other things in mind. "What's wrong?" she asked in a sweet, innocent voice. Really, she could be innocent. But, most of the time, she choose not to be.

"Erm, nothing," Eli said and after setting down his drink, he stood. "I'll be right back, just... remember it's me, all right?" He asked, and then turned, walking to his room without waiting for an answer. He wondered, as he partially closed the door to his room, if he'd scare her once he phased and walked back out. He tried not to think about it to much as he stripped, tossing his clothes onto his bed before letting his body lose and phasing into his wolf form. He shook his body from the tip of his nose to his tail before doing anything else. He wanted to look good, but there was an itch right on the back of his skull. Lowering his head he rubbed it against his bedpost, letting out a puff of air through his nose when he was done. Taking a breath, he nudged the door open with his nose and padded out. Here goes nothing, he thought.

Standing on all fours he was about as tall as she was sitting down on his couch. He barely squeezed through the door of his room, and he knew that had the alpha been walking through it and not him, the door would have been broken off. Once into the living room completely he sat down at the edge of the couch, not on it but on the floor. He lowered his head, slightly embarrassed. He couldn't really say anything to her in this form so he just waited for her reaction.
User ImageSighing softly once he left, Cariela closed her dark blue eyes, trying imagin Eli as a wolf. The sight in her mind was simply beauiful. Dark, soft fur with different shades of brown and black mixed into a the perfect blend. Warm, intelligent eyes that burned with love that only shown for her. She got shivers just thinking about his eyes. He would be tall and lean, but have a lot of muscle packed under his layers of fluffy fur. His massive paws would keep him on all four feet, but gracefully so. His movements would be rather graceful and danity, like he was afraid to break anything in the house with his large form. Sighing softly in contentment, she opened her eyes when she heard the steady footsteps of the wolf. She instinctivly sat down, tapping her fingers against her leg nervously.

When he finally came into her eye sight, she couldn't help but gasp slightly, not in fear, but in amazment. He was even more beautiful then she could have ever thought of. Her amazed expresion turned into a warm smile as she stood up, padding over to the wolf. "Amazing," she muttered, kneeling down to run her hands through his thick fur. It was so smooth, but also rough, able to hold in heat to his body. "This form is so... Perfect." If he couldn't tell by now, she was a little speechless at the entire thing. It was just so... awe-inspiring that she wished she could become a werewolf. Eh, she'd have to ask Billy about it when they got there. Speaking of Billy... "Can I ride on your back?" she asked, wondering why he wasn't speaking. Oh, maybe he couldn't speak in this form...

Eli's ears drooped at her gasp, but when he saw that her face shown amazement and awe, he perked his ears back up, listening. He slipped his eyes halfway shut when she ran her hands through his fur. It felt amazing, he licked her hand when she stopped. Giving her what he hoped she would recognize as a grin. After she asked if she could ride on his back he nodded, but drooped his ears. He'd locked the doors. Getting back to his paws he turned around as best he could and gave a small bark, hoping that would let her know he wanted her to follow. Once he was back in his room and she was also there, he lightly nosed her hand up to the door. It was almost annoying not being able to speak, but it also gave them a chance to bond, without having to speak to each other.
User ImageThe large wolf seemed to enjoy her attention, which made the angel happy. He bore his teeth it what seemed to be a smile of some sort, and Cariela offered him a warm, joyful smile back. The nod that Eli gave her made her throw her arms around his large, furry neck for a moment in a hug. Kissing the side of his maw, she whispered an excited, "Thank you!" Letting go of him and standing up fully, she watched him turn around and bark at her. She cocked her head in question, but when he started walking, she followed along, figuring out he wanted her to follow. He nuzzled her hand, trying to get it to the brass doorknob. She understood quickly, unlocking the door and opening it wide for the large wolf. "Is that what you wanted?" she asked, just making sure she understood him. It was sort hard to really make sure she knew what he wanted when he couldn't speak in this form.

Eli gave a bark and nodded, and then poked his head out, sniffing the air. It smelled like him, and traces of a few of the others in the pack. No vampires, no humans, just wolves. Pulling his head back in Eli lay down, looking up at Cari and wagging his tail. This would be so much easier if I could speak in this form, Eli said hoping she'd understand to get on. Just to give her the idea he pulled on her shoelaces. They tasted like cloth, but perhaps it would get her attention and give her the idea.
User ImageCariela watched Eli sniff the air, checking for danger or something. Did the vampires have a certain smell? I'll ask him about it later, she decided, running a hand through her long, black hair out of habit. She had gotten into the habit of messing with her hair when she was bored, or during class more so. Twirling a lock around her pale finger, she waited for him to tell, well more like show, her it was safe to get on and leave. His furry tail wacked against the floor, and the angel could feel his eyes on her. Smiling gently at him, she noticed him laying on the ground and took it as he was ready for her to get on. She thought of a good way to sit on him, while he tugged at her shoe laces with his teeth. "I know, I know," she said, carefully mounting his back like she would a horse. "Tell me if I pull your fur too hard, alright? Well... Bark or something, I guess..." It was a little hard to communitcate in ways other then speaking. She wrapped her arms around his neck, burring her fingers into his thick, smooth fur, hoping it would be enough to keep her on his back.

Eli simply gave a small bark, glad he hadn't gotten so far as actually untying her shoelaces before she got it. He didn't respond to her request that he complain if she was hurting him, he just got to his feet and backed up a little bit before padding forward and leaping out of the door. The wind in his fur was bliss, and it cleared his mind almost entirely, but then his feet were landing on the ground and he was running. He reached out with his mind, but he couldn't feel any of the pack. Must not be phased, he guessed as he ran, darting through the trees probably faster than Cari could count them, not that she would be counting but that was beside the point. His tongue happily lolled out of his mouth as he ran, small animals skirted out of his path, birds giving startled and indignant squawks of anger when Eli and Cari rushed through like a blur, disturbing their peace.
