As strange as it may be, don't attack those other vampires. They want to kill this blood suckers as much as we do, Kris explained, not taking his eyes off the leech leaping around in the trees. It started to descend through the branches, snarling and baring its teeth at everyone else. Pounce on my signal, the Alpha commanded, crouching low. The vampire finally got to the ground and started chargin the wolves, ready to tear them apart. Now! he called, leaping forward at the bloodsucker. It was a head on face match, but the vampire left it's throat open for the massive wolf. Kris was able to hold him down pretty well on his own, but feared that he would get a bite into his paws. Jake lept after his Alpha, tearing off one leg with his teeth.

It wasn't too long after Cari had finished singing her song, a method Eli guessed was to help calm both of them down, that they arrived at the meadow. More out of breath because of his aggravation, Eli coolly laid down at the edge of the meadow. He felt like never stopping, but he knew Cari would have questions, and Kris definitely wouldn't want him to get too far.

As the last noted drifted from her lips, Cariela noticed him slowing down, even if it was just a fraction of the speed he was going. Opening her eyes, she manged to glance around before he stopped, dropping onto his belly. She climbed off his back, but didn't go far, gently placing her arms around his furry next. She didn't want to hug him too tight because of the way he was breathing so heavily. Sighing softly, she sat with him for a few minutes, allowing him to calm down and catch his breath. Once he was breathing normally again, the girl removed her arms, looking into his dark eyes. "Can you morph, please? I'd like my human Eli back." Offering him a small smile, she hoped that his playful mood would return from not long ago at his house. She didn't like seeing him so stressed and scared looking.

Eli lay there, letting Cari calm him with the comfort of her arms around her neck and the fact that she was safe with him. Turning his gaze to her Eli nodded and got to his feet, backing up behind a large enough tree. With a snap he was back in his human form, though he didn't have any clothes. His earlier plans had clearly been screwed all to hell so he didn't have the luxury of putting on some clothes. "I should have taken you home," Eli muttered, resting his back against the tree and not moving into the soft light that was coming from the meadow. He loved her, and she loved him, but he wasn't ready to walk around stark naked in front of her, and he doubted that she would want to see him like that when they hadn't even known each other for a day.

Cariela watched the wolf rise gracefully to his feet and back up behind a tree. Blinking when he didn't come out, she stood up, walking a few feet before remembering he didn't have any clothing with him. Sighing, she padded up to the tree he was behind and slid down against it, pressing her back into the rough bark. Comfortable enough for them to talk, but not close enough for her to see his nude form. At his muttered words, she shook her head, mostly to himself. "You're wrong." Her eyes gained a dermined gloss about them as she explained. "I mean, sure, I'm in danger, but... I dunno. I just don't feel that fear around you, Eli. I know I'm safe around you and the rest of the pack. I've learned to trust my gut, Eli and my guts saying that you guys are safety." Shrugging, she sighed softly. "I'm not sure how to explain it, really." Reaching behind her, she hoped to find his hand, but found his shoulder. Trailling down his arm, she took hold of his hand in hers, trying to show him that she had faith in him.

Eli gave Cari's hand a gentle squeeze and rested his head against the tree, closing his eyes. "I had hoped to bring you here on less... well, less shitty circumstances.." Eli said and then turned his head towards the sound of her voice. "Maybe once that leech has been taken care of, I'll be able to," Eli said, lifting her hand to his lips and kissing it before giving it another gentle squeeze. Shifting the dirt under his feet so whatever was digging into his heel wasn't doing so any more, Eli looked around him. "Is there anything that you want to do? I mean, there hasn't been much you've had a say in since the library.." Eli said, feeling a bit guilty about that.

For the first time, Cariela acutally had a chance to look around at the medow. It was a pretty place, full of wild grasses and wild flowers. They weren't very tall though, much to her suprise. Maybe animals and bugs keep it this nice length, she thought before shrugging, returning her attenion to Eli. Smiling at him, though he couldn't see it, she nodded. "That would be nice. It's a pretty place." Another smile flickered across her face at his warm kiss. The shifting of the dirt didn't go unnoticed by Cariela, but she decided not to dwell on it too long. His next question made her actually think. What was it she was thinking about before the ran into the vampire? Ah, right, her doggy. She still needed to be fed. Taking a glance at the time on her phone, she cleared her thoat before speaking. "Umm, I'll need to get home soon to feed my dog, but if you don't feel it's safe..." If that was the case, then she wouldn't know what to do.

Eli thought about it for a moment and then nodded. Then he remembered Cari couldn't see him. "I think that would be all right, do you mind if we pick up my car first though? It's still back at the library," Eli said and stiffened when he heard a twig snap from above. Looking up he closed his eyes and let out an irritated sigh when he saw it was just a squirrel. God I'm twitchy, he thought, as he waited for Cari's answer.

The angel smiled when he told her that would be alright. She wanted to get home, maybe change her clothes since they've been running around in the forest most of the day, and have some time to relax with Eli. His request was resonable, and she gave a nod, mostly to herself, before answering. "Yep, that's fine, but we might wanna stop at your house first for clothes." It didn't slip her mind that he was still nude on the other side of the tree. It was kind of hard to forget the reason why she wasn't safely in his arms. She let go of his hand and stood up from the tree, brushing off her back as she slide a few steps away from the tree. She felt like she needed to give him room to morph, almost like privicy.

Jason nodded in his mind at Kris's words, and watched the Vampire. Kris gave the go ahead, and watched as the large wolf Jacob ripped off one of its legs. Frozen, for only a minute, Jason let his wolf side out a bit, and attacked. He didn't want to get near the bloodsucker's mouth, but instead, he scratched him, pretty hard and deep across the chest. Holy crap, this skin's hard Jason said, mostly to himself.
The vampire growled in agony from Jake and Jason. He lashed out at Jason, and hit him across the shoulder. Jason went back about seven feet. His shoulder matted in blood and torn flesh.

User Image
Tossing a glance at Jason when he was thrown back, Kris's gaze returned to the blood sucker under his paws. You alright, Jason? That should heal in about 10 minutes... Jake, take off his head. I can only hold him down, he thought, directing his words at each wolf he was speaking to. Jake nodded his big, furry head, avoiding the bloodsucker's fangs the best he could as he used his teeth to snap his neck, but it was too close for him to be safe. Kris's eyes narrowed. Edward, get Emmett over here. He'll have to do it then, the wolf throught with a sigh, looking over at the mind-reading vampire. Emmett grinned at the news, bonding over to the wolves. Using his pale, massive hands, Emmett removed his head tossing it into the pile of body parts starting to form. The rest was easy; just tearing him apart. Kris and Jake got to work tearing off limbs and pieces of his body, throwing them into the pile while the Cullens got something to light it one fire. Alice returned with some gas and some matches in the blink of an eye, quickly setting the pile ablaze.

Yeah, I'm fine. Jason gave his shoulder a tentative lick, then rolled it slightly. He watched as the others took care of the vampire. The other vampires ripped off his head, and the small female left and returned with gas and matches.
Watching the vampire burn in flames, as the small female lit it on fire, Jason limped towards Jake and Kris. He looked at the burning pile of body parts, and his stomach squirmed.

User Image
Tossing the last piece of vampire flesh into the fire, he nodded to both of his wolves. Another vampire taken care of, boys. Turning his attenion to Jake, he smirked knowingly. Go on and check on Nessie, Jake before I have to shot you for giving me those stupid feelings. The wolf bowed to his Alpha in repect. Heh, thanks Kris. See ya guys later. Jake grinned wolfishly and bonded away. Turning his attenion to Jason, he padded over to him, sitting about a foot away. You should go home, Jason. You look like you're gonna hurl. Crinkling his nose at the smell also, he glanced over at Edward when he spoke. "New wolf in the pack?" The Alpha nodded. Yeah. This is Jason. Jason, this is Edward Cullen.

See ya, Jason said his goodbye, and looked at Kris as he spoke again, Edward Cullen? Jake looked over at the vampires, they all looked so alike. One of them though was staring at him, one with short brown hair. Uh, hey, Jason said in his mind, still confused.
Jason then looked at Kris, and nodded. Thanks, he said, and took one last look at the fire, and turned to leave.

Nodding as Jason left, Kris turn his attention to the vampires. "Thank you, Kris," the oldest male said with a warm smile. No problem. Just doing our job. Keep us updated, Kris replied with a small bow of his head before rising to his feet and shaking out his coat. Turning his back on the bloodsuckers, he bounded away in a leap, returning to the forest. Another vampire taken care of, he thought happily to himself, smirking as he ran through the thick trees. Hmm... what to do now? Check on Eli, maybe? He's not in his wolf form anymore, so I'm sure he's alright, but I should inform him that everything's alright... Nodding himself, he checked himself for clothes, finding jeans on his ankle. Smirking, he picked up Eli's scent easily and followed the trail.
