Eli walked out of his school to his car, his only thought was 'maybe if I keep walking, they won't catch me'. He was skipping his last hour, the most useless class of the day he would have said if you asked him, and was heading directly for his small blue Prius. It was a small car, not very fast and didn't run very well, but it got him from school to home without much trouble and that's all he really cared about - reliability. Unlocking the doors with the key, he pulled open the door and slid into the drivers seat and stifled a yawn. He'd stayed up most of the night running his pent up energy out and had ended up spending most of his classes asleep.

"Come on, let's go home," he said to his car, his British accent making his t's and h's nearly silent. Sniffing and blinking his eyes a few times in an attempt to wake himself up, Eli stuck the key in the ignition and turned it. A blast of cool air hit his face as soon as the car started and another blast, this time of sound, hit him as his CD player began playing Muse. He'd been in the middle of listening to Stockholm Syndrome that morning, and so that was what was playing through his rattling speakers that vibrated the car due to the level the bass was turned up. He grinned, feeling more relaxed as Matt Bellamy's voice sang out the chorus at a - for a human - ear splitting level that Eli actually found quite comforting, and fitting for Muse. He'd have killed to go to a concert that year as they were on tour, but New Jersey wasn't exactly close to home, and other than that he didn't have the cash.

After a minute of letting the sound of the song sink into his skin, Eli thought about where he'd go. Home was out, nothing to do there but stare at the TV for a few hours before probably crashing out on the couch and waking up with a stick neck. Figuring he might as well hang out with someone from the pack, having been avoiding everyone for a while due to overexposure from hell, Eli pulled out his cell phone and went down the list of people. The only name on the list that didn't make him feel even slightly irritated, was Vincent's. Eli smirked, knowing exactly where Vincent would be as their passion for books was equal - if Eli's wasn't greater. Putting his car into reverse, Eli backed his Prius out of his parking spot and gave the school a right British farewell through his rear view mirror. It was funny how here in the US the sign for peace, was the equivalent of "flipping the bird" in Britain. Eli smirked for a second time, this time at the irony of it all.

Skipping the song, Eli 'rocked out' to Butterflies and Hurricanes as he directed his car towards the library. "Best, you've got to be the best. You've got to change the world, and use this chance to be heard. Your time is now," Eli sang in perfect tune with Matt Bellamy as his fingers tapped in time with the beat on the steering wheel. He almost wished he could just forget going to the library, forget going home, and just drive to New Jersey. But, alas, the Alpha would probably not be happy about an unscheduled vacation to Jersey. Not only that, but the concert he was wanting to go to wasn't even until May. Eli's eyes smiled as he sang at that thought, thinking maybe he could convince the Alpha to let him go by then, passing a slow poke and then going the actual speed limit the rest of his way to the library.

Once at the library Eli parked his car next to Vincent's, smiling at the fact that he'd been right. Even though he'd only been back in the States three years, he still found the pack strangely predictable. Being able to read their minds when phased also helped the matter. Eli checked his wallet for his library card as he got out of his Prius, locking the doors and stuffing the keys in his pocket. He had it, and nodded in satisfaction as he put his wallet back in his jeans and headed for the double doors that made up the entrance. Right out in the open, Vincent was sitting and reading a pretty thick book. Eli walked over and sat down silently, not saying anything as he didn't want to interrupt his friend.
Vincent had been reading the book for what seemed like a long time, yet in reality he had been reading for an hour before he spaced. His mind traveled around the rifts of his memory. His most feared and thought about memory was that of Allison. Her golden blond hair still as beautiful as the day he last say her alive. Her wonderful and happy face with a smile that melted his heart. Oh why had things turned out this way? His mind flew past the vast space and smacked into another painful memory. This one however wasn't something he had witnessed himself, but something his grandfather had told him. It was the death of his parents. The tortured faces grimaced as the fire engulfed his father's lupine structure and his mother's fragile human body. Oh why wasn't I there? Yet again his mind flew off gliding upon the silvery images of other memories. It slowed on yet another image. This one had not been seen by him either or even told to him. It was more like something that was instinctively there. His mind pressed into the image as to get a better look. A fanged figure lashed out causing Vincent to awaken from his day dream with a sudden jerk.

Vincent looked at Eli who apparently had been silently watching him for quite some time. He looked down at the book he had been reading before his mind wandered without permission. He closed it and then looked at Eli with a forced smile. His emotion did not change from the same down in the dumps one it had been in since they had met. He sighed and chocked on the air he inhaled. Vincent let out of few sharp coughs. He covered his mouth and then lowered when finished with the coughing fit. "You never change." he said with a hoarse tone. He looked down at the book once more running his hands down the leather cover. He stood up, grabbing the book, and walked over to the shelf where he had got the book and placed it back where it had originally been. He walked back over to the table and sat the farthest away from Eli. "So, how have you been?", he attempted at small talk. Vincent wasn't really a talkative person, even when he was happy.
User ImageThe girl felt satisified with her music about a half hour later, gracefully placing the music sheets back into her sapphire colored messager bag. The key protecter slid over the keys easliy, and Cariela flicked off the light in the small room as made her way to the door. Clicking the door closed, she skipped off, out of the front school doors. She pushed one side open, frowning slightly at the sun. She didn't like sunlight much; it always made things harder for her to see. Sighing, she made her way to the small, black Jeep she owned. It had bad gas mileage, but it got her to one place to the next. Sticking the keys in the igntion, the car purred to life. She smiled as she pulled out of the parking lot of the school.

The black Jeep made it onto the busy road easliy, crusing down the road not far to pull into the library parking lot. She put the Jeep in park, pulled out the keys and gracefully glided into the town's library. Knowing right where her favorite shelf was, the girl passed two boys sitting at a table on her way to the back of the shelves. One was rather cute, having dark, dark hair and a slight scruff on his face. She smiled softly at him before turning her attention to the books in front of her. Her eyes scanned the titles, looking for an old classic that she wanted to re-read. She settled on something she had read a few times, pulling it off the shelf and skipping over one of the bean bag chairs. Her small figure was engulfed as she sat down, but she didn't mind. Opening the pages of the book, her mind started un-folding the story in the book.

"And what is Cat's Claw for again?" Like Sanara had predicted, her peace didn't last very long. About fifteen minutes after she lit up her Hookah, a man smelling of hemp and the ocean spray came wandering into her store. His long blond hair was pulled into dreads and his little goatee was braided, just asking for her to find the nearest sharpened object and slice it off. He swaggered like he was on a constant drunken stupor, but never stumbled or tripped (much to her disappointment). He had walked up to her, a care free smile upon his face, interrupted her late afternoon smoke, and then went off into his own little world reciting to her this near death experience that brought him to wanting to live healthier. Funny how a brush with death made someone more aware of their mortality.

Explaining to the man the medicinal properties of Cat's Claw and how to prepare it, she rung him up and kicked him out. With a service perfect smile on her face, she'd proudly like to add. She watched as he swaggered off down the side walk, making sure he didn't decide to do a 180 and come right on back, before walking back to her Hookah. To her disdain, the charcoal that heated the whole apparatus had gone out. Cursing softly in her native tongue, she began to search under the desk to find the lighter so she could continue slowly filling her lungs with poison.

The soft tinkle of bells signaled the arrival of an individual and Sanara cursed even louder, abandoning her search for the lighter in question to face whoever had decided to interrupt her again. A whirlwind of laughing green eyes and a messy mop of brown hair came tumbling into her mid section, clinging to her form as he babbled on about school and recess and how much fun he had that day. It seemed Elementary School was out, and Richard, the son of the couple who took her as their Exchange Student, had decided he would attach himself to her as if they were a pair that came together. Or like how he so delicately put it, like the Megazord from Power Rangers. She found the first season rather addicting, no matter what anyone had said. Damn the American Brainwashing.

Lifting the little wonder up off the floor, she deposited him on the stool behind the desk she had just been at as he continued with his stories of how he caught a lizard and the class bully, Simon (Sicko Simon, as the boy seemed to like to call himself) super glued it to the teacher's purse. Cleaning up the Hookah, because she obviously couldn't kill the boy with second hand smoke, she let him rattle on about this and that while she headed to the front of the store, opening the door to allow the room to air out. When she came back to the desk, the boy had already laid out their after school snack, which consisted of mini custard cakes from the Bakery next door, and juice boxes her had gotten from his Mom earlier that day. She noticed he hadn't even bothered to wait for her, crumbs trailing over his lips and a large bite mark pressed into his own cake. So, she picked up her own cake and took a satisfying bite, holding the morsel away from the seven year old just in case he got it in his head that he would inhale her snack as well.

Cheeky devil.

Alora Shae

Alora had become tired of standing outside, but before she could turn around her Brother, the one who had yet to come home. Snuck up behind her and screamed right into her ear while grabbing her sides, and he kenw very well she was ticklish. So with a scream of surprise Alora suddenly turned about, and kicked. Aiming for a very specific spot. Which she hit, and hard. Making him scream like a girl, a very little girl, and causing the rest of their family to come running out and find out what was wrong. They were all very protective of Alora since the...incident, with her last boyfriend.

When her family came out to the back yard, her brother laid there. On the ground, his hands between his legs. His face red, tears coming from his eyes. And Alora was standing, wide eyed with tears about to fall over her now very pale cheeks, a quivering lip. And her body in an odd stance, which told them everything. They didn't feel bad for Michael, the brother who scared Alora. And instead rushed to see if Alora was okay.

They tended to worry over her more then they would have if the reason she broke up with her boyfriend was the only thing they had to worry about. But sadly, because Alora grew more lovely by the day, he started stalking her. And has suffered quite a few beat downs for trying to touch Alora against her consent. Alora closed her eyes tightly, and pressed her face into her Eldest Brother's - And favorite brother -Chest. She didn't understand why Michael pulled pranks on her like that. He always got hurt, by her or their other brothers, and ended up being the one the family was disappointed in most often.

After assuring the rest of her family that she was fine, Alora walked past Michael and into the house. Saying that her Brothers needed to clean up the dishes when they were done, she needed to go to the video game store to get a new game that just came out the day before. Her family gave her worried glances, but said they'd be at home and if she needed them to call and they'll be there as quickly as possible. With a child-like giggle Alora grabbed her bag, which was mostly full of games and her favorite handheld- Her Nintendo DS. She also had a decent amount of money in the bag, too, with a second thought she ran to her room and grabbed her DS, shoved it in her bag and then ran out the front door.

Anya put one her of heaphones out of her ear as she starred at the waves drifting up the beach. She took had ditched school yet again today. She hated going there while the teachers tried to force imformartion into her head. She grunted annoyed at the thought of all the silly things they thought was important but in her world it was little of importance.

She was laying back on a large deep green blanket. It was put in her trunk just for when she wanted to sit on the grass in the park or on the sandy beaches. She was only propped up by her elbows. She hadn't seen anybody around for a while and halfway wished that it wouldn't last the rest of the day.

A relaxed sigh escaped her lips as she laid back completely. She put her headphone back in her ear. She was listening to her ipod with complete happiness. She loved Escape The Fate and Paramore and that was mainly filled her little electrical device of music.

Eli habitually watched Vincent as he waited, the younger werewolf apparently completely enraptured by the book. Eli, keeping an eye on the time, noticed that they'd been sitting there for a good hour. Eli watched Vincent's face, the muscles twitching in tune with whatever thoughts he was having. First there was fear, then somewhat of an affectionate tone to his eyes, flickering to pain, a distracted and unreadable expression, and then a jerk of surprise as Vincent came out of his torrent of thoughts and focused upon Eli. Eli watched patiently, his hands folded across his stomach, as Vincent looked back down at his book. Eli knew better than to say anything just yet.

After a couples seconds Vincent closed his book, looking up at Eli and forcing a smile. Eli's smile came to him easier, and Eli waited still as Vincent apparently choked on the very air he was breathing. Eli smirked at Vincent's comment, "Neither do you," he replied and stayed where he was as Vincent replaced the book he'd been 'reading.' Eli, his full attention on Vincent, noticed quite clearly when Vincent sat down as far away from Eli as he could. Eli gave a shrug at Vincent's weak attempt at small talk. "Well, considering I've been at home with just a TV for a week, all right," Eli said and let his legs straighten out under the table.

Eli stayed quiet, not in the mood for small talk and knowing that Vincent wouldn't mind the silence. After a good ten minutes though, Eli couldn't take the silence and looked to Vincent. "How's the family," Eli asked, putting emphasis on 'family' so that Vincent would know that he was talking about the pack. He figured that getting straight to the point of why he was even there would be easier than dodging around his presence with small talk. Small talk irritated him to no end, it never got anyone anywhere. Eli waited patiently for Vincent's answer, carefully watching Vincent for any indication of him lying, or something else that he wanted to keep hidden; Eli would see it all.
User ImageThe angel noticed something was missing while reading the first few pages of her book. Her ears were still ringing from her music playing not long ago, now gasping for the sound of music. Smiling, Cariela pulled out her I-Pod, unwrapping the headphone cord from around the small, black device. She popped in the two ear bits, turning the music on low as she searched though her playlists for the one she was looking for. Ah, finally she found her 'Book Reading' playlist. It was full of piano music mostly, adding a few softly sung songs she could listen to without getting distracted from her book. Once her I-Pod was settled safely onto her stomach, she glanced up at the chatting boys sitting at the table a few yards away from her. The dark haired one was rather cute, in Cariela's opinion. The other looked too much like a boy; she liked a man. They didn't seem to notice her, which she was pretty OK with. Gave her a chance to get to know them without them noticing.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxSince we don't have an OOC, I'll just ask on here. Does anyone know what happened to Kiba? I've been waiting for him to post for over a week...

After ditching school, Eli had went to the library and had been sitting there at a table contentedly for quite a while, when he felt eyes on him. He didn't dare take a look behind him to see who was looking at him, it wasn't that important to him anyway. But, like all things, it worked on his nerves until he couldn't even read his book properly without getting frustrated at the feel of eyes on the back of his neck. Picking up his bookmark Eli closed his book and stood, pushing his chair in. Maybe I could quietly tell them to stop staring and take a picture, Eli thought to himself. Rude, but then again so was staring at someone while they were clearly trying to read.

Turning, Eli faltered in his decision to scold whomever was staring. Her innocence and beauty stunned him and glued his tongue to the roof of his mouth. He stood there, frozen in place like a deer in the headlights of a truck, he was mesmerized by her. Now, Eli realized, he was the one staring. But he couldn't really look away, he wanted to, but he didn't know if she'd still be there when he looked back. He felt drawn to her and protective of her, the way she sat at the large empty table made her look so fragile. Though the longer he stares and his eyes roam over her face, the more he realizes his impression was quite wrong. She had a strong, and clear cut look about her eyes. Never judge a book for it's cover, even if the cover is totally, and irrevocably the most beautiful creature on the human planet, Eli told himself.
User ImageThe girl was in her own little world, deep inside a romance story. The soft, relaxing piano music traveled from her I-Pod to the small ear piece in her right ear. If you looked hard enough, you could see the perfect bubble around her, encasing her in her own land, where only her book and her music existed. She kicked her thin legs under the table, a habit she formed in school. Her slipper like shoes made no noise against the burban carpet on the library floor. Her dark blue eyes scanned over the page, taking her deeping into the romance novel that sat on the scratched up wooden table.

Some sound popped her bubble, bringing her eyes up from the cream colored page. Not more then a few feet away stood a teenage boy, though he had very strong, manly features for a teenager. His hair was dark and clean cut, just like the thin stubble that covered his lower face. A wet pink tounge was stuck to the side of his mouth, almost like a dog. His black eyes were stunning, having a warm, easy going glow about them. And he was staring at her shell-shocked. She decided to offer him a small, smile, though she wasn't unconfortable at his staring. The angel like girl got it more often then she liked, but this boy wasn't like the others. He had an honest feel about him, like he could actually hold a coversation and not just want to get in her pants.

It took Eli a short moment after she'd looked up at him and genuinely smiled to actually move his body. He swallowed dryly, his mouth was dry, and gave a crooked grin in response to her. Checking his watch, Eli wondered if the pack would miss him if he was late for his rounds. Deciding that was unimportant, Eli tucked his small book inside his coat pocket and took a calming breath, holding it before slowly letting it out. I'm nervous? He asked himself as he sat directly across from her, he wanted to sit right beside her, but that would probably scare her off. His heart was racing and he wasn't entirely sure that he could get out a word, but he managed, "Hey, my name's Eli." and immediately hit himself mentally for sounding so stupid.

Eli decided to wait until she made the next move before doing anything else. He was still staring, and he had to force his eyes to look away for him to blink before looking back at her. He needed to control himself, and he was doing a terrible job of it. Pull yourself together, you're acting like you've just imp - Eli's mind did a little jump/lurch/epiphany motion and he realized. Whomever this strange girl was, he'd just done what he had been determined never to do...

            He'd just imprinted on her.
User ImagePlacing the bookmark into the book, she closed it and pushed it off to the side. Taking one one earbud and turning the music to an ear-strainning volume, she refouced her entire attenion on the boy. It was like someone had hit a switch in Cariela. Her entire body and mood switched into her flirty mood. One of her small, pale fingers came up to start twirling her raven colored locks. The small smile stuck on her lips and she crossed her legs, laying her other hand on her knee. When he spoke, she noticed a slightly cringe to the end of his sentence, but didn't let herself dwell on it too long. Instead, she answered back polietly, "Hi, Eli. I'm Cariela. Are you ditching class too?" Eh, cheezy start, but just something to spike up conversation. She kept her eyes on Eli, giving him her full and undivided attention.
