To Save Them
She gave everything
But did she regret giving up

.................................................................................................

Kill you? No, but I could kill me sister and myself. I’m thinking you would have a more difficult job with us gone. With my two brothers missing since five years ago, there would be little you could do to take over Cionaodh, ” She said as he busied himself with killing off one of the Zaynah guards. She said this as an act since she too had felt the presence of other eyes. Sitting down on the bed, she stared directly into Kyo’s eyes with no hint of fear. She knew of his power and what he could do to her, but he owed her since she had chosen to spare his life. Would he really kill off the woman who had spared him pain of dying? Taliya listened to Kyo’s tell and at the mention of Joseph, Taliya felt pain in her heart. She was angry with that coward for running away. If he had stayed here, she could have been free from dealing with Azazel.
With him finished talking Taliya thought on his words and his actions. Thinking on the past, brought a small chuckle to Taliya. She brought a hand to her mouth to shop the amusement. “ As impatient as ever. Kidnapping would work, but you would have to take my sister with you and there will be no time to plan as you would like. I suggest to you that you release us, and take on the role of a guard. Joseph may do the same, and this will give you the chance to plan and learn about Azazel’s weaknesses. If he does have them, of course. ” She said, getting off the bed and paced the dusty floor.
I have already thought of a way to communicate with you without anyone becoming suspicious. What do you think of ‘joining’ the Zaynah side for a while? ” She asked him, thinking this could work and give them the needed time to prepare an attack.

Suzuki didn't flinch when Kyo shot fire past her. She was sure he wouldn't harm her, especially since her sister was here. At least her sister was on his good side, she was pretty sure that she had semi-pissed him off, or made him annoyed.

Suzuki looked at her sister. Was her sister really planning on staying here? Why didn't her sister want to leave. She sighed, she had been planning on assisting her, but knowing Taliya's personality, it was unlikely that she was leave. Suzuki listened to her sister's plan. It was a smart idea, but wouldn't Azazel notice at least Kyo's face since he did show it oh so boldly. Suzuki watched her sister. Suzuki knew that escaping would be no easy matter and her sister leaving would be even harder. She should've just stayed home if this was the outcome. Maybe if she had the power to foresee the future, then she wouldn't have made a bigger mess out of this. But then again, what fun would there be if you could see the future and everything else? Suzuki started to zone out when she thought about it, but she was brought back to reality when her sister said the word 'Zaynah' She had lost all signs of fear on her face and was back to the face that didn't betray any emotion. She didn't know why she should be afraid of this man, because she didn't remember him. She looked at her sister, she didn't show any signs of fear, but was that because this man owed her sister something? Suzuki didn't know, maybe she could ask someone later about what happened, afterall, it wasn't hidden that Suzuki had lost her memories of that time.

ΘLucius and Xavier had stopped to rest. Despite himself, Lucius allowed himself to relax just a bit. It wasn’t often that he was able to forget everything, but when he did, he was at his strongest. Without emotions to distract him, he was able to focus on the task at hand with such resolve that not only was his control, magical or otherwise, was nearly perfect. In this state he could seek out powerful magic users and discern whether they were friend or foe. Unfortunately, he couldn't clear his mind at will.

Time almost got away from him. He quickly snapped back to reality and looked back towards the border. There weren’t any soldiers chasing them so the spell obviously worked. After a few moments of searching for any sign of pursuit, he turned back towards their destination.

“Xavier, let’s go. I want to get there before nightfall.” The mage stood up with little difficulty, obviously recovered from the spells that he had cast earlier. They both took off in an exceedingly fast run. At this pace, they would arrive within the hour. Not wanting to get there too soon, they slowed their pace slightly so they would arrive as the sun was setting.

Kyo Svensil

Kyo was almost amused by Taliya's answer, an answer that of course he expected now. She was going to stay in this place and 'negotiate' with her husband. He would love to see her try, but Kyo knew he didn't want to stay long in this place. He had other matters to attend to, and guard duty never really amused him unless he absolutely had too. Besides, he was too well known by the aristocracy to make a move now. No, Kyo could not stay, mainly because Azazel would notice Kyo and Joesph.

"I can not stay myself, but I can leave Joesph with you once I retrieve him. I will leave the matter of hiding who he really is to you. I am fully aware of Azazel's strengths and weaknesses, including his ever present ability to be a 'ladies man'. However, under the current circumsances, trying to take his life here would be pointless, as he still has a sister," Kyo pointed out to himself, fully aware that even he might not be a match for Azazel at the moment. His bracers held back a lot of his power, but Kyo didn't know if it would be enough.

Kyo looked over at Jericho, yet another reason he could not guard Taliya. He owed her, more than he owed anyone else except for Alanna. He beckoned Jericho forward and he stood in front of Kyo, smiling at the two women. "I would like to introduce Jericho. He is my ward, and my friend. If worse comes to worse, merely seek him out with your mind and I shall use him to talk to you," Kyo said, only hinting at the powers Jericho had. With the curse broken, his powers were many, but he had no potential for fighting except his quick movements.

Kyo then looked at the youngest, the one named Suzuki. He had little information on her, to tell the truth, and was quite curious what she could do. Vague rumors of her not being completely human had stuck out, but what prince or princess wasn't at least something else these days. A few, but many had origins dating back to ancient races. "I shall release you both, but be warned that I have heard a few rumors about Azazel being pressured by his parents to have a child with you, Taliya. As we both know, a legitimate heir needs to be establish so that the Emperor can die knowning that there is someone who can replace him. Yet, at the same time, he wants a grandchild who can clearly take over if both your husband and his sister die for some reason. As Azazel will become Emperor, it falls on him to bare the legitimate heir. I tell you this, because if you are willing to go through with it, and if it is true, you must not tell Joesph, for he will surely die before his time," Kyo spoke thoroughly on the matter.

Alanna pulled away from the general's hand as he stroked her cheek. Looking up from her meal with only her eyes, she watched as he stared at her for a moment, before returning to his side of the table. "Touch me again...And I will kill you. When will the true man come to take his role, and I won't have to deal with your stench anymore?" She continued to eat slowly, her hunger never existing. She had changed into a red dress, a small jeweled circlet around her forehead. Of course, it was not her choice. It seemed like she was one of the prizes to be polished and shown off. If she ever met the emperor, she wouldn't kill him, she would make him suffer. Alanna was no prize. Her anger bristled from wounded pride.

Denyed Alanna's company, his attitude became rough, then sober, "Depends on when His Superior has appointed a suitable man and send him to us. Until then-"

"Oh, so you're not good enough?" Alanna smirked, taking a sip to her red wine, refusing to take her disturbing eyes off of him. He glared at her but kept silent, letting her know that he had applied and failed for the job. Alanna held her smirk and gaze for a few more moments before looking back at her food. The monster inside was eager to eat the steak infront of her, but the meat was too filling and only a few bites made her feel bloated. Since the moment she had arrived to the castle, Alanna had been exhausting herself mentally with plans for Necrosis. The fact that she was not allowed to leave the castle grounds was irritating. How was she to improve her lands with her abilities if she couldn't even leave the only good soil? Her mind did wander to the tomb of her father. It was a few miles off. Unable to be visited by Alanna. She had not been there in years, when she had left Kyo for a few months to be with her family. She and her family had sealed her dead father in the tomb. That was the last time she saw her brothers.

Once the tomb had been sealed, Jericho had came and pulled her away. She had been weak from the effort and severely wounded. The suprisingly strong boy had carried Alanna to Kyo, where she was nursed to health by his remaining forces, and reorganized. She didn't have to tell Kyo about what had happened. What her condition was, and what Jericho had seen and said was enough. She was rather angry when she could not share last words with her brothers. Especially Zero. Alanna had always resented him for his actions as a prince of Cordelia and his intentions. Not to mention his new wife, Isabeau. That woman urked Alanna like no other. She would have liked nothing more than to give the foolish couple a piece of her mind. She would have more to say now. She had left with Kyo, for she still had a duty to him and was tied to him. The next she had heard of Zero was that he had ran with Isabeau to her land, and left Cordelia to become Necrosis. She had been so angry, so betrayed, so guilty...

Alanna looked up from her meal, the general motioned his good night and got up, leaving from the table. Why? She hadn't been paying attention, she didn't know. Motioning to the servants, they began to clean up, and she left herself. She was still not hungry.

When she had left Kyo though...

Alanna cleared her throat and lifted her head proudly to herself, the growing darkness of night hiding the color rising to her face. That was certainly different. However the result would be no different. Alanna still had plenty to say to her former leader. She owed nothing to him any longer. Or did she? She had vowed to follow and serve until he died or took all the kingdoms under one name. However she had not seen him in months, almost years. She not taken one order from him at all. She had moved on.

Alanna had more important things to attend to and she was more alone in them than ever. The icyness of such a realization requested a shiver from her body, but she denied it. Alanna was already getting the harsh cold from the stone floors below her feet. Ignoring both, she reached her rooms once again, and entered alone, not glancing at the guards stationed at her door. Her eyes, instead flew to the bedroom, and she could already see herself landing in the bed, dress and all, passing out in exhaustion. However her mind flew to her desk and the image of her kingdom she had seen earlier that day. She banished the bed's image from her mind and slowly approached her desk, opening a window while she walked. Alanna needed the sea-breeze smell to clear her mind.

ΘTheir destination was in sight. They arrived with the sun behind the capital, which masked their approach. As they neared the gate, Lucius sensed a familiar aura; the illusionist from Aalok. To announce his arrival, he did the same thing with his own aura as earlier in Aalok. The distance would be different, so he increased the output accordingly.

He only did this for a moment to avoid being detected by enemies. He and Xavier leapt onto the top of the walls, yet again. Again, for some reason, there were no guards. They split up and sought out the illusionist. Finding him was no big task, but they didn’t want to attract attention, so the separated and then converged on the point from different directions, much like wolves on a hunt.

It was better than they moved so swiftly lest they get caught up in the ruined sight of Moriko’s capital. They masked themselves with a concealing spell and made their way through the building, taking care not to disturb anything. Lucius arrived first, but only seconds before Xavier. They removed their spells, and to show courtesy, knocked on the closed door.

Lucius wasn’t used to waiting, but he did so because there was another person with the illusionist. From a distance, he couldn’t make out a gender, but now that he was closer, he found the presence was female. He didn’t know if there was any history between the two of them, but he thought it prudent to knock lest he hear something he shouldn’t.

She sighed and rubbed her eyes, setting down the quill. Considering rubbing her eyes now became a two-hand job. Slamming them down she looked over the papers again. After a few more moments, she sighed again and put them away. She needed a break. Alanna wasn't thinking clearly anymore, she had been staring down too long. There was now a crick in her neck. With her left hand, she stood up and massaged the back of her neck. She groaned as her own fingers worked at the muscles, and she began to pace. After planning and planning Alanna still didn't feel like it was enough. That she still had so much more left to do. That she had gotten nothing done. Alanna stopped pacing and stared at the fire as it crackled in the fireplace. Then her eyes wandered to the window, and watched the silent marshes that lay just outside city walls.

How was she able to bring back Cordelia? It seemed so far beyond repair...She knew that her people would not forever be welcomed in Aalok. Alanna would have to move them. But there was no room. The only place left was Necrosis. It was already a marshland, unusable. She needed a drink.

Alanna went to her door, and ordered one of the guards to get her a glass and large pitcher of ale. She still needed to work, she couldn't drink anything too strong. Shutting the door, she went back to the window, and continued to watch the still land. Staring at it...And knowing what it once was felt like knives being stabbed into her chest over and over...She felt that she should not look away. She needed to be punished. Alanna knew it was senseless and foolish. She knew what she had to do and what needed to be done. But for some reason, she felt like she should punish herself. This was her fault. The knock on the door interrupted her thoughts.

Opening the door, she let the servants set the pitcher and glass onto her desk and then leave, nodding her head in reply to their bow. Alanna had grown up her whole life with servants. She was not a stranger to never being alone and served by hand and foot. She accepted the help without complaint. The only one who ever did was Zero. Always talking about how all he wanted was to be a soldier with a family...Well he got what he wanted, didn't he? Alanna's jaw clenched as she calmly poured herself the ale and drank half the glass. Zero got everything he dreamed of. All he had to do was toss his family and line out the window along with his duties. She looked down and saw the glass empty. She poured herself another and walked to the window. Kyo was the same. Denying his duty and line so that he could take over half the world. Alanna took another drink of her ale. Shaking her head, she cleared both of them out of her mind. There was no need to be bitter about what has happened. She had to worry about what was to come. Setting the glass down she went back to her desk.

Alanna sat down, combed her hand through her hair, and picked the quill back up. Pulling out the papers, her eyes scanned over them again. She had a lot of work to do, and she had spent enough time standing and taking a break.

Taliya merely stared at Kyo as he acted like he was high and mighty. His responses were ones she was expecting from a man to believed himself to be so grand and powerful. Arms crossed as she shifted her weight from one foot to another. “ Do as you want Kyo, but don’t think that you know everyone’s strengths and weaknesses. You know so little of people since you do nothing to learn about them. Rumors are just ideas and thoughts. They are not the facts and you, Kyo, lack facts about Zaynah. You don’t know the inner workings and the way the people think. I suggesting you stop thinking you that you are a god Kyo. You are no god. You are but a mortal who can die with one move. If you plan to return to Zaynah later, I will not be gracious to a second time. We are still enemies, ” She said to him before went to the bed.

Not speaking to her sister, she grabbed the girl’s hand and pulled her to her feet. Taliya began to think of how to escape from this abandoned place. She could only guess that from the amount of dust that covered the furniture and the faint smell of mold. As she glanced around the room, Kyo forced her attention back to him with the appearance of a boy. The boy was still young, but he looked to be past the age of ten. “ …This boy is your ward? I find if funny that you travel with a child. Are you indebted to him as well? It doesn’t matter. I don’t think things will get that worse that I will have to call for you to aid me, ” She was annoyed with Kyo and her words were bitter. She was sick of how this man acted. What was he trying to prove? He didn’t have the means to fix this world as he thought he did. One needed power, but the power that Kyo held. It was political power and funding that one needed to change the way people thought.

Do you think me so stupid Kyo? I was well aware of what Azazel’s intentions would be when he returned from visiting his parents. You don’t think I listen in on what my servants are gossiping about. I’m honored that you think you should tell me everything, but I don’t need to inform me of things I already know Kyo. Now that I am finished talking to you, take us back to the square or leave us somewhere we can be rescued, ” She paused when he spoke of Joseph, “ I don’t care what Joseph does anymore Kyo. He is of the past, but if you can manage to disguise him and use him in the palace fine. I’ll do my best to give what information he needs. We are done Kyo.

Natalia was in a horrible mood. Disguised as a teen-aged boy, she raced through the streets of Moriko clutching a loaf of bread, hotly pursued by an enormously fat man wielding a hatchet. You just couldn't wait one more day to find something to eat, could you? Now you're probably going to have your head knocked off by this fat oaf. Natalia veered into a side street, tumbling a stack of crates in order to slow her pursuer. She needed to find a place to hide, a place where she could change her disguise. She fingered the straps of her pack as she used her peripheral vision to scourage the dank ally-way that surrounded her for a hide-out. Other than piles of rickety crates and barrels of ale, there was no place substantial enough to take cover.

Natalia came to the end of the street and spied her safe-haven: a large stone building. She sprinted through the doorway and began to travel through the depths of the corridors, searching for an open doorway to a room where she could change. So engulfed by her desire to escape, Natalia nearly trampled two men waiting patiently outside yet another closed door. Managing to bring herself to an abrubt hault in front of the first of the impossibly tall men, she braced herself against the wall, panting for breath. Removing her brown canvas cap, her waist-length tawny hair fell out in tangled ringlets and waves. Looking up at the man, she asked, "Sir, I'm sorry to bother you, but there's a man chasing me with a hatchet and I'd rather like to keep my head where it is. Do you know where I could go to change clothes? She pushed herself off the wall and pulled herself up to her full, but miniscule height. Pulling her pack off her back and removing a rather rumpled creme-colored cotten dress, she replaced it with the loaf of bread. "He thought he was chasing a boy. He'll lose me if he stumbles upon poor young woman."

Suddenly hearing the clattering foot-steps of the fat baker, Natalia leapt behind the two men. She knew that they must think she was insane, but she wasn't about to have her head hefted by the baker. At least on occasion her small stature benefitted her: he would never see her sheilded behind these men.

Kyo Svensil

Kyo wasn't surprised by Taliya's anger at him. He had kidnapped her against her will and made her his hostage. He only chuckled at the response he first got from Taliya. "That may be true. I have taken into consideration the fact that Azazel might be stronger than I. But if one does not have an absolute assurance in victory, and keep that air around him, how will others follow? And I am very well aware that I am no...God...What a funny word to even think about now. It almost makes me crazy...but I digress, I know I am no god, Taliya Kahae. And neither are you. We are enemies, but let me ask you this: I know what is at stake and I know what I must do, since I am the partial cause in all of this. Do you?" Kyo asked, but wasn't expecting a real answer.

Jericho seemed to actually be hurt by Taliya's comment, but he kept it to himself. Kyo, however, noticed that Jericho's eyes were starting to water. He pulled the boy's face into his body so that he could hide the tears from the women. "I made her mad, didn't I? I'm sorry my powers are no use to her.." Jericho whispered, trying to hold back his pain and the tears. Kyo merely knelt down and looked Jericho in the eyes, shaking his head with a soft smile and a pat on the head. "Jericho, she isn't mad at you. She's mad at me Jericho. Don't cry your eyes out over this Jericho, for your abilities are far greater than mine," Kyo replied to Jericho as he seemed to stifle a couple of sniffles.

"To answer your question, Taliya...He is the son of a man by the name of Graham Solidulicus, a good friend and dead comrade. Most of Geheim was made up of members of his family, including the large number of government officials that all died on the same day by killing themselves in a brutal fashion. That was the true day all the kingdoms seemed to collaspe completely, unable to recover from this last blow. Jericho here is the last survivor, and the youngest child of thousands. He is the lasting legacy of a clan that is now dead. He is my friend, and he is the kindest boy you shall ever meet in these lands. A person who hate violence and will not raise a weapon or a fist to an enemy. He is my ward for these reasons," Kyo put carefully, though the cause of the kingdoms destructions took many years, Kyo's planning and then the sudden deaths of the many officials in the government had brought the kingdoms to their knees right before Zaynah attacked.

Kyo didn't respond to her last words to him, not caring if she knew or not. He told her anyway and that was that. It wasn't like Kyo knew she had ears on the outside, so he told her. No harm, no foul, though she made it seem like he had killed a man right in front of her. Oh wait...He did. "Very well...Then forgive me for my next actions, ladies," Kyo said, as he ran up to them so fast that they probably wouldn't have noticed for a second. It was with one slash of his hand that he grabbed Taliya's clothes and started ripping them in places. "If you have anyone to blame, blame Joesph. If he didn't react so hastily, we could have simply visited you and talked, rather than kidnapped. Now I'm ripping your clothes so it looks like a struggle occured. I'll punch out a board in the wall and you two crawl through it and head back to Azazel. Meanwhile, I'll go retrieve Joesph from his valiant but futile stand against Azazel and send him along his way to take the "place" of a loyal Zaynah guard, so no questions will have to be answered. Once again, I apologize for what has happened," Kyo spoke as the rips he made in Taliya's clothing suited a scuffle or the fact that Taliya had snuck away.

He then turned to Suzuki. He was sure that spy had followed her, and perhaps that would be the disguise that Joesph could take up. He saw that indeed the spy had been a part of the assassin guild, hired as a tracker for the princess. He smiled and patted her on the shoulder. "Thank you, Suzuki. You have actually been very useful in coming here," Kyo spoke as he picked up the body of the dead man from his hiding place. "Suzuki, since no one other than this man spotted you, you can just leave. Make it look like you were somewhere else, like the woods. It will be safer that way,"
Kyo spoke to her, before heading for the wall and kicking a hole out in it to the outside. He turned back to Taliya and bowed at both women, before heading for the door. "Five minutes," Kyo said, telling them to wait five minutes before both Kyo and Jericho, who had put his hood up again, left through the door and disappeared into the crowds.

Isabeau smiled at Elektra. The poor woman was beside herself with what to do with the cookies and milk. She giggled softly to herself and purposely turned her back knowing full well the woman would get rid of the cookies. Mostly likely to her daughter. When Zero sent Elizabeth outside to watch her brothers she gave him a chiding look. Almost as if to say, "that was not necessary." She turned back around in time to blow her daughter a kiss just as she ran out the door.

When Zero suddenly lost all emotion, she stopped what she was doing and looked at him. When he put his hand on her shoulder until she realized why he was doing it. She gave him another chiding glare before turning to the woman. "I am sorry forgive him please. Sometimes he is a little...over-protective. I know you will not attack me in my home...for now," she said giving her a comforting smile. She finally moved to the table and sat down.

Isabeau was grateful for the patience of the woman as she ran her fingers through her hair. "Zero sit down, you are making me nervous...," she said softly enough so he could hear her but not loud enough for the guest to full hear her. "Miss Elektra there is a man named Markle whom is in the Aalok resistance. Now his name is very important. Also so is mine. You will tell the guards 'Lady Isabeau of Aeolus wishes to give a message to her friend Lady Gwen of Aalok' those words alone will be all that will be able to get you in. Markle is blonde, and well trust me you will know if it is him or not,"[/color] she said softly.

Rubbing her head, she quickly pondered the brilliance of this message. She knew in the end it had to be sent or all would fail. "When you reach the castle find Lady Gwen and tell her you have an urgent message from Aeolus to Markle. She will know, i hope," she whispered those last two words. She had not seen the princess since the whole engagement thing and hoped the princess would remember her. If not...all would fail. "The message given to Markle goes to no but him do you understand? No one else."

"The message is this, 'Markle you must inform all the followers that they must lay LOW. The Zaynah armies are soon to be getting suspicious and will do a random check. If any absolutely anything is found and it seems to be a resistance then you may kiss your bums goodbye. If you do not lay low for a little bit ALL hope will be lost.' Once the message is delivered wait and see for a response. If there is none then do not return...," she said giving the woman a look, "There is a lot of lives at stake...please do not fail me."

Isabeau stood up and walked over to a box. She opened the box and pulled out a bag filled to the amount that was the price. Little did the woman know that Isabeau actually slipped in extra for her as a thank you for even coming. "Now go."

ΘWhile they were waiting, a young girl disguised as a boy bumped into them. The two saw through her disguise since they could easily tell the gender of someone by their aura at such close quarters. Therefore, they weren’t at all surprised when she removed her cap.

Lucius heard her plight and communicated his desire to help to his retainer via telepathy. As the man rounded the corner, Lucius said, “Xavier.” In the span of two seconds, Xavier recited the incantation that would render the man unconscious. “Take him elsewhere. And do what you will once you have.” The elf nodded and effortlessly lifted the man onto his shoulder with one hand. He might have been a mage, but he was still as strong as any elf.

Lucius then turned his attention to the girl. “Didn’t anyone ever tell you not to steal? It’s quite rude, young one.” He chuckled a bit and brushed his hair back, revealing his pointed ears for a brief moment. “I’m Lucius and my friend is Xavier. You’re lucky that you ran into us. Otherwise, your head might’ve been mounted on that man’s mantle.”

Youngest Prince of Aeolus, gone from his land...

Eric knew when the elf and his solitary companion entered the city. There were few spellcasters left in the entire ruined land of Moriko and none that strength. He also recognized the energy signature each gave off as he'd met them quite recently. He gave no outward sign of the ponderings going on within his mind. Why were they there? How had they traveled so fast? Were they following him? He didnt think Gwen would have him followed and he doubted that she would have let him out of her clutches so soon unless he proved to be a threat (and therefore had to force his way out, which Eric hoped hadnt happened since it would mean Gwen's death), or she wanted something from him.
Eric felt them draw closer and his unease grew. They were headed directly for him, and Ari, and Eric nearly flinched when the knock on the door shattered the stretching silence. Turning away from Ari and frowning he was about to move toward the door and see what they wanted. Their intent was most likely not hostile or they wouldnt have bothered knocking, but he still didnt like running into them again so soon. He paused again as a commotion outside was heard, muffled by the door, and opened the door quickly once he reached it. He was just in time to see the elf prince's remaining companion walk off with a rather rotund man in a bakers apron and Lucius himself talking to a rather diminutive little woman. "What precisely are you doing here THIS time, and who is your... companion?" he asked, blunt and a little irritably. Eric didnt like surprises and today seemed to be full of them!

Zero stared at the woman for a second before listening to Isabeau. She wasn't his life but she carried such an influence over him that he couldn't help but obey her wishes. His eyes never lost that chaotic flair to them. They always popped up when he was in the presence of a fighter, especially one he didn't trust as of yet. It was just his way of doing things and that was something Isabeau had to live with, though she knew how to tone him down. Of course,if this was serious business, Zero didn't want any of his children hearing it. They were still kids and needed time, plenty of time, before they had to deal with grown up problems.

Every bone in Zero's body stiffened now that Isabeau was cross with him. However, he relaxed a little when he found out this woman's true intentions here. So, Isabeau was using this woman to contact the rebellion in Aalok. They were out of hand, out of control in terms of a 'sneaky rebellion'. It was something that Zero didn't have a high taste for, to tell the truth. They were...more like thugs at times then a rebellion. And now Isabeau was sending a message to them through this woman? Things must have been dire indeed.

The message was to Markle, a man that was both brilliant and scarred. At least they shared one quality, as Zero could still feel the scars on his body. He could sense Isabeau's seriousness, but he thought that this was a risk too great. If Zaynah caught wind that Isabeau sent this message, Aeolus could be dragged into war. Zaynah could and would use any excuse to take the rest of Aeolus' lands and richs. Zero just looked at Isabeau curiously before looking outside. He could see the children practice their sword sparring outside, and it made him smile. How simple it was to be a kid.

By the time that they were done, Zero had lost interest in the entire affair. This was Isabeau's show, not his, and Zero respected that. He was a fallen prince, and the b*****d son of a god. What right did he have to interfere in poltical life of this world anymore? That was why he left most of his people in Aalok. Why some even followed him to Aeolus. It was all to make sure that he stayed out of their lives unless he was actually needed. He nodded to the woman as only a warrior could, before standing up and getting himself a glass of water.

"These miracles that life has given me have taught me that."

ΘLucius chuckled and looked at the illusionist. “You skipped out when the leader and I spoke… This time, he broadcast the rest of his speech to him through telepathy. Had you remained, you would have heard the elves’ offer to support the Resistance and her giving me an assignment.

Once he had relayed anything that shouldn’t be overheard, he added vocally, “This time, I want you to stick around. Xavier and I have been talking something over and we want to see if you’d be interested in our offer.” He adjusted the sword and noticed Naldien’s pommel glowing a faint blue. It meant Xavier would be there shortly. When he touched it, Xavier was able to tell him that he took the baker back to his shop. Lucius sighed and looked at the girl. “As for her… I don’t really know who she is. We just ran into her. She was in some trouble so we helped her.” out.”
