Kite sighed setting down a crate of large food in the shopping area of Harthom General store. He wiped the sweat off his forehead and smiled.

"Thats the last crate!" he called sitting down on a near by shelf to rest. He sighed and looked out the window, it looked like it was going to start raining soon. He hoped it wasnt going to be another large storm like the last one, it had nearly torn down his teetering house.

"Im gonna head home before the storm hits." he called putting his apron over the box and heading out the door. The sky was clouded and turning dark and he could hear thunder faintly in the distance. He quickened his pace towards the middle of town where his house was.

The darkening sky, full of clouds promising another storm, garnered a vaguely interested look from Syakurai as he walked through the streets of the town, having come from the forest. By his side, the black leopard, no longer the cub he had first discovered, prowled, occasionally nudging his hand with its head. He brushed his gloved fingers over short fur, eliciting a rumbling purr from the feline in response. He had just sent his latest report, indicating that there was little activity in the town at the moment - though, unless he was quite mistaken, it appeared that there was a creature of the light walking in his direction. The glow, however faint, was still there and he stilled, instinct warring with his own will before the latter won.

Beside him, the leopard tensed, muscles rippling under its coat before a few strokes calmed it. "Hush" he murmured, eyes surveying the approaching being as he filed away this new tidbit of information for his next report. He looked up again as a few droplets of rain fell, the large cat making its displeasure at the rain known with a quiet yowl as its tail lashed, ears pressing flat. The feline remained where it was, however contrary the action was to its instincts; Syakurai made note of it and reminded himself to reward his pet when he returned home. There was a dim flash of light in the sky, hidden behind the layers of clouds; thunder rumbled and the demon smiled.

[Dark Keeper of Creatures]

Xarin stood in dirty ragged white clothing on the streets, his green eyes seemed dulled a bit as he began to walk down the street slowly. His white wings were hanging behind him, he was bare-footed right now and he didn't care for the rain around him. The young angel was a creature of light yet it didn't seem he was much of one since his aura hardly glowed like other light creatures. Right now as he walked he didn't even notice that he was heading right towards a demon with a black panther, but he didn't care much since he was half-starved and cold. Xarin had come here to find himself a home but he had no such luck so far.

Joshua waved goodbye to his boss and stepped out of the restaurant into the street, wrinkling his nose at the humidity. There would definitely be some bad weather coming in soon. Sure enough, the first few drops of rain landed right on his head as he walked down the street, heading for home. He sighed, put up his hood, and quickened his pace.

Suddenly, a chill ran down his spine. He stopped and looked over his shoulder. A tall, dark-haired stranger was standing a ways back, his eyes trained on something else in the distance. Joshua didn't know what about the stranger made him so nervous (besides the giant black leopard at his side) but something told him to run. He pulled his coat tighter around him, wincing as his wings started getting cramped, and took off. He almost missed the boy standing in front of him, but stopped just in time to avoid knocking him over.

"Agh! Shoot, s-so sorry, didn't see you there--"

Joshua stopped. The other boy wasn't dressed for this kind of weather at all. He looked cold, lonely, lost--wait, were those angel wings?

He... almost looks like I did when I first came to Earth. What would have happened to me if... they hadn't taken me in?

He fidgeted slightly. "...Um... a-are you okay?"

Xarin stopped hearing someone speak to him and saw another angel, he could tell by the aura, his green dull eyes stared at the other. His blond hair were sticking to his head because of the rain, he soon registered the question the other male was asking him and he nodded slightly. The young angel boy wasn't really caring for anything at the moment since he was just cold and hungry, and also a little bit lost on what to do really. But he could sense another kind of darker aura and turned his head to look right towards the demon with the panther, he didn't fear other demons that much.

Syakurai blinked, bemused. There were three creatures of light in this place? And yet, he hadn't noticed any of them until now, when they were before his eyes... "Strange" he murmured to himself, taking a step forward. He almost laughed, stifling the sound at the last moment with a gloved hand, when one of the creature of light - an angel - made as though to fly away but instead almost knocked the other over. That wasn't a reaction he had seen before; the last few angels he had encountered either fled in a more discrete manner or challenged him. It was, he decided, something of a welcome change, though he had yet to discover why angels fled from him when he did nothing.

The demon was torn between approaching the two angels and remaining where he was; while light and dark were diametric opposites, he wasn't completely heartless and one of the angels looked as though he was in bad shape. The decision was taken from him when the leopard beside him tensed before darting off toward the pair of angels. Syakurai followed, catching up with the feline as it came to a halt by the blond angel and sat, tail lazily swishing on the wet pavement. "Behave" he murmured, the feline flicking an ear in his direction in response. "...apologies for his behavior." It wouldn't hurt to be polite to the angels, he mused. The only orders he had been given before coming to Earth was to observe.

Xarin blinked before he saw the panther and looked up at the demon before he looked back at the panther. He smiled slightly before putting one hand on the panther's head and began to scratch behind it's ears like a regular cat.

"What a marvelous creature."

Again, he didn't fear demons unless they tried to attack him, his body shivered though he tried to ignore it and he soon sneezed slightly. Xarin's small wings shivered as well though he didn't move them too much before he looked right into the demon's eyes with his own dullish eyes.

"You're a demon. Are you going to attack us?"

He spoke in a low and slight broken tone of voice, he wanted to see if this demon was like others or if he was civil in some way.

Syakurai laughed softly as the leopard purred, leaning forward to butt its head against the angel's leg. "He is" the demon agreed. "And he's spoiled rotten." The leopard chuffed and he quirked an eyebrow at it, amused. The angel's sneeze brought his attention back to him and Syakurai shrugged in response to the question, the white coat he wore sliding half-off his shoulders at the action. "You've given me no reason to" he pointed out. "Regardless of what is taught there, we are not all bloodthirsty brutes."

He paused, eyes raking over the angel once before he slipped the coat off, holding it out toward the angel. He had no need of it - the black shirt he wore, patterned in gold, was more than enough to keep him warm and he did have another. "...take it. You look cold."
