The true civilization is where every man gives
'Why must it be windy today? I hate it when my cloak flaps in the wind.' A woman thought irritatedly as she walked through the forest. Even with shrubs and tall, thick trunks to block her, the wind always managed to find the young tan maiden. But even with the irritation of her cloak, the calmness of the forest soothed the rough edges of her mind. The smell of earth was rich here, as were the colors of flowers and the greenery. It all reminded her very much of home.
Soon, though, Sarai gave a mental goodbye to the denser forest and said hello to what most would call civilization. A town up ahead, only a few miles from the royal palace, was her destination. Corrupt guards ran rampant in this town, causing anguish in the hearts of many innocent people. Thus if she pilfered a few pockets to give to the needy and caused a few... bruises, she would say it was a day well spent. It wasn't much, but for the time being it was all she could do since she knew not where her fellow angels were.
Rai, as she so liked to be called, saw nothing and no one in the streets as she began to look around. At first she thought something was horribly wrong, until she saw many men trying to free a young girl from the grasp of a soldier. Without so much of pardon, she pushed her way through the men and stood before the soldier, the eyes behind her mask blazing. "I will say this only once. It is your choice how things will end after. Release the girl now." she stated simply. When the soldier laughed and reached out to shove Rai to the ground, she simply grabbed his arm, twisted, and let a small dose of electricity into his system. It wouldn't have hurt that badly if it weren't for his metal armor. It spread up and down his body, causing his muscles to spasm and release the girl in the process.
Taking his coin purse, Sarai handed it to the girl and motioned to her that it was safe now and she could return home. The young girl smiled timidly before running off while the men scattered, not wanting the blame of the soldier's downfall upon them. With a roll of her eyes and a shrug, she turned upon a heel and walked away, looking for something else to steal or someone else to save.
