Welcome to Gaia! ::

Kadan went to the bedroom with Amber but he enveloped himself in his ice again so as to shelter off noises and he doubted very much that she was about to wrap her arms around him, pull him close and cuddle him to sleep. Beds reminded Kadan of operating tables back at Manticore and normal bedsheets reminded him of his cell. He lay slowly on the bed, knowing Amber was there to keep him safe and wrapped himself in his icey blanket instead of her soft and warm blanket. He closed his eyes once again but didn't fall asleep yet...

Alec laughed softly as he knelt down close to her. "You just what?" He asked softly as he rested his hands on his knees and stared at her.

Amber watched Kadan lay down in the bed and cover himself with the ice. "You know, you're going to get my bed wet, Kadan." She said with a soft smile. "Why don't you try just laying underneath the blankets? They're comfy." She murmured to him as she sat down, leaning back against the wall and pulling her blankets up over her legs. She closed her eyes and sighed, relaxing.

Elle blushed several shades of red. She knew she must look like a beetroot by now, and she felt silly, because she really could not think of any words to say. Her brain was occupied by his bright green eyes staring at her. "Ah..um.." She closed her eyes, in hope that by not looking at Alec's face, she'd be able to think of some actual words to say.

Alec smiled and took a step back, giving her some room. He sat down at the counter, across from him, and picked up his beer. He took a sip from it before setting it down against the counter with a light click.

Elle looked at Alec as he moved back. Not being so close made her brain actually work again. "I just..think you're funny is all." She said with a small smile on her face.

Alec looked at Elle with a smile. "I think you're funny, too. Especially your reactions." He told her as he drank from his beer again.

Elle looked down towards her knees then closed her eyes. "Well that's your fault." She muttered to herself under her breath.

Alec smiled as he set the bottle down and leaned over the counter. He tilted her chin up and smiled at her. "My fault, your fault. Does it matter whose fault it is? It happened." He shrugged and let go, sitting back in his seat.

Elle dug her nails into her legs as she blushed. 'Stop it! What is wrong with you? He's just a person!' She thought to herself, angry at herself for being so flustered. The way he smiled at her, the way he looked at her, made all the words just disappear from her mind.
"Amber you know my ice does as i will it to. it never melts...it either forms or shatters and i can't sleep under covers...they...they remind too much of....of IT..."he stuttered as horrifying thoughts tried to pry their way into his mind again...but he closed his eyes and changed the thoughts to himself and Amber together in a peaceful place...she was laying against him as though he were her pillow, his arms wrapped around her as theough he would like nothing more than to be her blanket and his lips pressed to hers as though she were the only girl in the world that mattered...

Alec smiled at her as he picked up the beer and finished it off, taking care of the bottle. "I need to train for a bit, okay? You can join, too, if you'd like." He said to her. He walked out of the kitchen, tugging at the bottom of his shirt and pulling it up over his head.

Amber opened her eyes and looked over at Kadan. "I know... But... I'm here, so it can't be exactly the same." She sat up and turned towards him, spreading her arms. "Come here, Kadan. It's okay." She said, her normal smile spreading over her lips. She wanted to make him comfortable, not scared of where he was. And, in all honesty, she waned to hold him again, know that he was safe and secure in her on arms.

Elle's eyes widened as she saw Alec pull his shirt off. She grabbed Casper and jumped down from the counter top, hurrying after him. "I'll come." She said with a smile. She didn't normally like to fight, or train for that matter, but she'd make an exception just this once.

Alec nodded as he walked in to the room he considered training in the penthouse. It was small and white, with barbells and a punching back and such all over. He started to stretch his arms as he tried to decide what to do first. He walked over to a bench and laid down on it, pressing a couple of buttons. The bar at the top gained about one hundred extra pounds on top of it's normal weight, about eighty five, and dropped to his open hands. His muscles tensed, his abs flexing underneath his skin as he began to pull the bar don and pushed it up, counting to himself silently.

Elle followed him into the room and looked around. The punching bag caught her eye and she slowly made her way towards it, staring at it. Elle stood in front of it and closed her eye, her hands balling into fists at her side. She pictured Teressa in her mind as she started to throw hard punches at the punhing bag. She threw all her rage at the punching bag with grunts of 'argh' as she did so.

Alec watched her punch the bag and smiled. But then he frowned and shoved the bar away from him, letting the metallic arms catch it with a click. He jumped off the bench and walked over to her, grabbing some white tape along the way. "Wait! You should really tape up your wrists and knuckles, so you down hurt them." He said as he grabbed one of her hands in mid punch and started to wrap her wrist.
