Ferus sighed as he and his sister left yet another small town. They had been pretty much the last people to enter the game and due to bad luck hadn't met anyone other than NPCs. Though he himself didn't mind this his sister wanted some more people to talk to. It had been a little over a year since the incident but his sister seemed to be doing her best to forget it. He sighed as he took out his map once again and charted their course to the next town.

Nino sighed as she walked with her brother. She liked this new world but it had been a little boring recently. They didn't know many spells because they hadn't been able to do many quests, being a group with just two magic users they couldn't fight well in close quarters at all and they lacked defense so much that even traveling was dangerous. She wished they would find someone to talk to, hopefully a healer or some sort of knight. She watched the road ahead of them and began to hum lightly, forgetting her troubles with a familiar tune that she had known for most her life, though she couldn't quite remember why, she was pretty sure it had something to do with their mother.

Lilly slowly opened here eyes to the sounds of birds chirping in the distance. She was in their cottage, Mathilca and her. Two long years, they might as well be married. The thought crossed her mind multiple times, actually, but she wasn’t about o go making a suggestion like that. Although she had grown a backbone in the last two years, she wasn’t that bold.

Lilly yawned and sat up in bed, her eyes squinting at the light. Once she stopped feeling like her eyes were being stabbed when she looked out the window, Lilly turned towards the sleeping figure on Mathilca beside her and leaned down, brushing his hair away from his face and giving him a gentle kiss on the cheek. A bold move she wouldn’t have done two years ago.

”Good morning,” she breathed into his ear. And it was a good morning indeed. The sun shone and the birds chirped their happy little songs.

Mathilca yawned as the sun streamed through the window of their cottage bedroom, feeling Lilly's light kiss. He smiled slightly, opening his eyes halfway. Well, eye. He looked up at Lilly, seeing her sitting beside him. "Good morning," Mathilca said sleepily, pushing himself up. As he did, the right side of his face was revealed, as well as the nasty scar that covered it. Mathilca was still seriously pissed off with himself about that dumb stunt last year, but nothing could be done now. Even with Lilly's magic, his eye couldn't have been saved. He was just lucky he could still hit his target.

Mathilca covered the yawn that pushed itself out of his lungs, sitting up properly. As anyone could see, his right eye wasn't the only thing missing. Mathilca had cut off his horns at the end of the war two years ago, in order to spite his in-character father. It was actually pretty relieving. Especially after people stopped calling him a demon. Dammit, he wasn't a demon, he was a spirit. Huge difference.

Mathilca reached over, picking up the eye patch that he wore nowadays. He quickly put it on, not liking his scar any more than Lilly probably did. At least the eye patch covered up most of it.

Lilly smiled at Mathilca and gave him another little peck on the cheek before swinging her legs over the edge of the bed. She wasn’t going to bother getting dressed. Over the years she had procured fabric, and her need of pants had taken over, so she made herself a pair of drawstrung linen pajama pants. Only for bed, though. Pants weren’t exactly socially acceptable on women yet.

Lilly yawned and stretched again, walking out of the room to the kitchen. What would they have for breakfast today? She rummaged through the cupboards, not really too sure.
