Ayume fell silent once more, simply listening to the others talk. Perhaps she was still overwhelmed by the fact that she had seen so many survivors in such a short period of time, but she wasn't entirely sure. She stood motionless, staring out into the distance. Her eyes wandered across the broken sky, rarely blinking. Idly, she nibbled on her bottom lip.
She was at peace wandering around in her own mind, that was, until the ground abruptly started shaking. Ayume looked around her, her expression worried yet frantic at the same time. Her eyes darted back and forth; what was she to do? Yet another earthquake was on the group's tail, and to top it off, she was standing on a huge pile of rubble. They all were. Ayume inhaled a deep breath, and quickly darted forward. Her hands violently swinging back and forth as her feet pounded roughly against the shaking ground. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Seth and Lacie. Just her luck; she was running in the complete opposite direction of the two. She shook every thought from her mind.
'So much for sticking together.' she heaved, as she darted into the other distance. There wasn't much time; the shaking was only going to get worse. She didn't have time to turn around. Ayume kept a steady pace, running, running as fast as she could looking for a spot to seek safety.
