"Well," Helen thought about it. "Depending on how long it would take...I do need new ones, but I can't really afford to get rid of the old ones..." She let her eyebrows knit together in thought. "Yeah, I'll bring in the old ones if that's all right. Just please be careful when your sharpening them. I can't have them cut to short or I won't be able to use them. That would mean that you would have to make the new ones anyway!" She smiled up at the man. "What's your name anyway? I've never really spoken to you before." She chuckled lightheartedly. "If I hurry I can make it to the clinic and back in 10 minutes. What do you say?"
She gestured with her hands as she talked, as she always had, and knocked over a chair onto his legs. She saw the harsh wood of the chair scrap into his skin an break through, leaving a torn, splinter filled cut along the front of his leg. "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! I- I didn't mean to!!" She dropped to her knees to examine the mark, without even asking permission like she was supposed to. "These splinters need to come out of they'll heal into your skin and get infected. I have what I need to take them out,and I know this seems odd, but may I?" She stared up at him from the floor, hoping he would say yes. She may have just hurt him, but she was also the only one who could help him.

Maya

Maya walked into her shop and slid the curtains from the windows, brightening the room. Paintings hung along the walls, all painted, drawn, and colored by her and in black frames. She switched the sign on the door to open and slid her bag off from her shoulders and onto a coat rack. She sat at her desk near the front and looked down at her notebook. No one had asked for anything so she had nothing to do but wait. She twirled her pencil slowly and gracefully in her hand and constantly looked at the door, hoping the bell she had put at the top would ring at any minute. She rested her head against her hand and looked at her notebook. She tried to think of something, anything, to draw but nothing came to mind.
Willow removed her eyes from her book. Still no one. This gets lonely after a while. Not that I reallly talk to any one but it would be nice, she thought to herself. Willow put a tag in her book, and put it down. Then walked over to a pile of clothes. She saw a ripped in a piece of clothing. She careful picked it up and brought it over to the counter. She then toke some of the saw colour thread and a needle. Willow threaded the needle and started to fix the clothing. I guess be alone a lot pays off.

Sylvia sighed, knowing that the day was getting her nowhere. She sighed, and place a sign on the door that said. 'Out. Be back in a couple hours.' She slid on her coat as she pushed the door open and walked out. As she walked, she buttoned up her coat, and pulled her braids over her ears, to act as earmuffs. She heard some noise, that seemed to be coming from the blacksmith's shop, so she walked over, and knocked on the door, hoping that everything was alright. It would be dreadful if someone had gotten hurt, even a cut or something as serious as a broken arm or leg.

Maya

Maya looked around her empty store. The paintings on the wall were of all colors, some bright and vivid, others plain and simple. Some were so detailed were as others were basically blotches of paint that had been accidental but had appeared somehow nice. She looked at the floor and hopped off her stool. She walked over to the back room and grabbed a broom that hung on a hook. She swept dust away to reveal the wooden floor. She opened the door and watched as the dust escaped in a large cloud. She stared at the cloud until it completely disappeared and formed an idea. She tossed the broom carelessly back into the back room and ran to her notebook, almost falling off her stool. She grabbed her pencil and sketched a simple drawing quickly, knowing that in about three minutes the idea she had would be gone forever just as the cloud of dust had disappeared into thin air.

Helen nodded at him curtly. grabbing her bag, she opened it and set right to work. Opening a package on pair if sterile forceps (tweezers) she stuck the pack in her mouth, being sure not to touch her mouth to the tool. She slipped on a pair of gloves and ripped the tool from its wrappings."This is gonna hurt... Wait! No it's not. I've got local anesthetic in here..." She dropped the tweezers back in the packaging and dug through her bag. She puled out a small bottle of local anesthetic and the sterile needle. She prepped it from memory. "You're gonna feel a small pinch before the numbing takes affects" She pressed the needles against his skin and watched as it broke through. Repeating the procedure twice, she placed the needle in a container. Snatching up the tweezers, she set to work pulling out the splinters of wood. She couldn't help but have a small flush cover her face from her close proximity to the man. Shaking her head, she tried to go back to her professional nature. Then it clicked.

She had never met him before. But he was the man from her dream.

Her hand shook for a moment, causing a small piece of his flesh to pull away with the splinter. It would have hurt, if he could feel it. Pulling the last stick from the wound, she set to work stitching it up. Stitches were the easy part. Nonchalantly, she glanced up at him as she knotted the first stitch, "You're gonna have to come see me at the clinic this afternoon so I can change the bandage on this and take a better look. Is that ok?" Without even noticing, she had finished stitching the wound. Smiling at her handiwork, of sorts, she stuck a bandage on the wound. "And don't worry about the blades, you're gonna have to stay off this for a while. Is there anyone at your house who can look after you? Because for a cut like that...It's almost in the muscle. You're gonna be bed ridden for at least 24 hours."

For reasons unknown to herself, she felt a pang in her heart at the thought of the man having a happy go lucky girl waiting for him at home with open arms and a smile. "Whats wrong with me?" She thought to herself. "I'm not supposed to have feelings like this" She started mumbling under breath without noticing. "It's not normal. It's not right. I'm to dangerous."
She packed her things back in her bag and stood up. Plastering a smile on her face, she dusted of her knees. "There, all done. now, you need to get home. How far away do you live?"

Zurco sighed when he first heard Rosa screaming. Probably at the poodle that lives a few blocks away. Figuring that it was enough work for the day, Zurco layed down the broom from sweeping the stable and walked to the house. When he went inside, startling Rosa as he entered. Gave her a small pink wallet with a blue fish stitched into the side, saying "Here you go" dropping it into her outstreched hands. "There is some money in there to buy some new clothes and mabe some decorations for your room. Consider it a bonus for being so helpful." He said smiling. Then noticing the gash still on her hip as she bent ofer to get her shoes, he said "Didnt i tell you to get that stitched up before you left?" "Yes, but i just HATE stitches." She said flatly. "Well if you wont go see Helen at least let me wrap it up with some gause." He said getting the first aid kit. "Okay then." She said sighing.... When he finished wrapping up Rosa's cut, he said to her "You shouldent try any of your acrobatic feats for a while, Oh and here" giving here a small piece of meat,"At least try and make friends with that poodle okay?" He said winking as she ran out the front door.

Sylvia pushed open the door. "I heard some loud noises in here, and I wanted to make sure everything was all right. She smiled. "I suppose I was just worrying too much again, I apologize for the intrusion." She brushed back one of her braids. "I guess I'm especially alert because I have nothing to do, I have had no customers in my shop for quite some time." She sighed.

Kanoe Da'razik

♥ He mayor may not ♥

Kada Walked With a sluggish look to him, as he exited the large marble doors of the town hall. He had fallen asleep at work again, and since he had no one else working there, he had no one to wake him up. He shoved his hands into his pockets as he began to whistle. His mind was set to go to the diffrent shops and check on his towns people. He walked pasted the now open door of the black smiths and smilecd. "Hello helen, Mr.Rafe, Miss.Sylvia." He nodded to each before making his way to the art store. He most enjoyed this place, because of his love for expression. "Miss. Maya...?" He asked calmly as he walked into the door and sighed at all of the paintings.

Rosa-Lee

Rosa-lee Nodded back at him as she ran out the door. She scooped the calico friend of hers up an ran over the dusty street. As she passed the poodle once again, she threw the chunk of meat and hit it in the face, causing it to yelp and recoil for the day. Rosa giggled as she made it to the stone side walk. She entered her first store of choice. The everything store. Her eyes grew wide as she spotted a large wall clock of a cat that looked like rerun. its eyes and tail wagged as it ticked to the seconds."I want that one...." She said to the friend on her shoulder.

Helen sighed and put her hands on her hips. "Listen here you, I may be small but I know what I'm talking about. If you don't rest for a while then that's not gonna get better. As it is you're going to have a fine scare left there" She watched as he licked the blood off the object, and repressed a shiver. She grabbed him by the arm and started pulling on it. She knew he could easily over power her, But she had to try, "At least come to my house and rest for a few hours. I promise I'll let you come back. But you live to far away otherwise. If you want to come back at all today you better come with me, and if you really don't want to go that bad, then you're gonna have to put up with me being here all day." She frowned up at him, a look of determination in her eyes. She might be weak, but that didn't mean she wasn't stubborn. "So are you coming or do I have to baby sit you all day?"
