If you ever really need me
I'll be here for you
but if you ever try to hurt me
I'll beat you black and blue.
Dr, Hell
"Well," Helen thought about it. "Depending on how long it would take...I do need new ones, but I can't really afford to get rid of the old ones..." She let her eyebrows knit together in thought. "Yeah, I'll bring in the old ones if that's all right. Just please be careful when your sharpening them. I can't have them cut to short or I won't be able to use them. That would mean that you would have to make the new ones anyway!" She smiled up at the man. "What's your name anyway? I've never really spoken to you before." She chuckled lightheartedly. "If I hurry I can make it to the clinic and back in 10 minutes. What do you say?" She gestured with her hands as she talked, as she always had, and knocked over a chair onto his legs. She saw the harsh wood of the chair scrap into his skin an break through, leaving a torn, splinter filled cut along the front of his leg. "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry! I- I didn't mean to!!" She dropped to her knees to examine the mark, without even asking permission like she was supposed to. "These splinters need to come out of they'll heal into your skin and get infected. I have what I need to take them out,and I know this seems odd, but may I?" She stared up at him from the floor, hoping he would say yes. She may have just hurt him, but she was also the only one who could help him.
