((yes, yes it should))

After a while of floating in the water Damen sighed and pulled himself out. "Come on Maria. Let's get back to work," he said as he sat down to put on his shoes. Maria sighed as well and took her feet out of the water and noticed the swelling on her ankle had gone down. She put her shoes on and stood up warily. Damen grabbed his shirt but didn't put it back on. He picked up his sister and carried her back to the clearing. As he set her down Lua came back carrying bags. Maria looked around at all the bags that were now there that hadn't been before and said, "You carried these all by yourself Lua? You really should learn to ask for help." Damen looked at Lua and saw she was sweating and out of breath and asked, "Are you okay? You should probably take a break." That's when Maria noticed the smoke rising from the direction of the beach, "Is that coming from the plane?" she asked. Damen followed her gaze and said, "That doesn't look good. It might explode." "But what if someone is still on the plane? They could be stuck or unconscious like I was when it crashed." Damen nodded, "We don't know if it will actually explode or when so I'll go check. Maria stay here." He then started running out of the woods and towards the plane. Maria scoffed, "I'm not a dog. I don't take commands." She then limped slowly after him. Damen arrived at the plane and went inside. He couldn't hear anyone calling for help so he began to check the bodies that were in the seats. He tried not to think about the fact that they were dead. Some of their eyes were open and were staring at him so he tried to avoid eye contact. He knew these images would probably give him nightmares but he had to make sure there was no on alive.
Maria stood outside of the plane waiting for Damen to come back out. The smoke got thicker and sparks starting erupting all over. "Damen hurry. It's getting worse," she yelled, but there was no response. After what seemed like an hour, but was actually only a couple of minutes, Damen reappeared and got off of the plane. He shuddered at the thought of all the dead bodies he just touched and said shakily, "No, there was no one alive that I could find." Maria sighed, "Well that is both bad and good. Now come on before it explodes and we both die as well." Damen took a step towards his sister when the plane made a loud groaning noise and there was a small explosion letting them know that a bigger one was not far behind. "Run," Damen screamed. Maria and Damen both started running down the beach away from the plane. Maria ran as hard as she could ignoring the pain that shot up her leg with each step. After they got a good distance away they heard more loud noises coming from the plane and then a giant explosion erupted from behind them. It sent them flying a few feet away. They landed in the soft sand. Maria sat up and her ears were buzzing, her eyes were slightly blurry but other than that she seemed fine. "Damen," she called out looking around. She saw him then lying a little ways away from her. She gasped and ran over. She kneeled beside him and shook him gently, "Damen," she whispered his name. He groaned then and said, "Ow." He sat up and looked back in the direction of the destroyed plane, "Wow." Maria sighed, "Yeah wow."

Lua

Lua watched, gaping, as fire shot into the air not far away, on the beach. Smoke filled the air as Lua slowly stood up, still catching her breath.
"It's a good thing I got all of those bags when I did," she said to herself, then ran in the direction of the beach. When she got there, she saw that the plane was on fire, but thankfully, it was far enough away from the jungle for the trees and other plants to catch on fire. Lua ran away from the plane in case it decided to explode again, and saw Maria and Damen in the distance. She ran to them, sweat rolling down her forehead.
"Well," she said, panting, "None, none of the...the trees are on fire. So, so that's good." She gasped for air from all of the running she'd been doing and sat down. "Are you guys alright?" she asked as she quickly jumped up, as the sand was hot.

Zac felt the ground shake from the plane exploding. Then he rushed to it. "If this thing blows up again the cave will collapse and my duty would have no more purpose!" Zac said as he lifted the plane. Sundaily it exploded again and zac is pushed back and was knocked out. A piece of the plane landed in the sand but, a sharp piece was about to break off and stab zac.

"Yeah Lua we're good," Damen said as he stood up slowly, "Just really sore." Maria stood up as well and looked towards the direction of the woods and said, "It's a very good thing about the trees though." Maria then noticed the monster from before and that he also had been knocked aside by the explosion. "Damen look. We should go see if he's alright." Damen shook his head, "No, see there is someone else already over there. I'm not getting involved." Maria looked at her brother with pleading eyes and said, "Please, I can't go by myself. My ankle hurts." Damen sighed, "Ugh, fine but only for a moment just to see if they are both alive and not excessively bleeding." "Thanks," Maria said smiling as she leaned on Damen for support and they both began walking. They stopped a few feet away and Maria shouted, "Is everything alright?"

((Just to let everyone know I won't be on from Saturday until Monday. Going on a two day road trip to visit family. I'm bringing my laptop but I won't have a internet connection until we get there, but I will continue to post until Friday and then start again around Monday night.))

Zac's eye's opened and he jumped in the air and landed on the ground making sand go everywhere. Then he began sniffing. "That smell............its familiar............it sort of smells like my.........................oh no! The plane must of made a hole into my Exploding Gas! That's going to cause.........." Before zac finished an explosion came and made the ground below zac's feet collapse and he fell in. The hole got bigger.

Lua

Lua didn't have enough energy to run any farther, so she trudged down to the ocean, where she took off her shoes and ran out into the waves, letting herself fall to the waves as water rushed over her head. Ahh, this feels good, she thought to herself. The water was clear and had a greenish blue tint to it, and it was absolutely beautiful. Lua swam back to the surface and gasped for breath, wiping the salt water from her eyes. Then she got an idea. These were people going to Australia, which was one of the most desirable places to dive. Lua ran out of the water as fast as she could and ran back to the clearing, where she dug through the bags.
Yes! Goggles and flippers! Lua grinned and pawed through the bags when her own bag caught her vision. She happily grabbed it and hugged it to herself. There were many items in here that she hadn't wanted to lose, and she was glad to have it back.
She dragged her bag off to the side, where she wanted her hut to be, she'd decided. But she'd start building later. After all, she had the time.
Her bathing suit, along with everything else, was still in there. Lua changed in the tankini and put her tank top and beach shorts over it.
"Ah," Lua said. "That's better." She picked up the goggles and flippers and brought them to shore. She put on the flippers and the goggles, then she ran into the coming wave, which knocked her back onto her butt. Lua couldn't help but giggle. The island was working its charms on her. She swam out where the waves were only starting to form, took a deep breath, and ducked underwater.
It was amazing down there. There were coral reefs and little schools of fish, their scales sparkling. Lua swam down to the reef and gazed at it in wonder. There was nothing, to her, more beautiful or mysterious than the ocean.
Then, all of the sudden, Lua felt a sharp, stinging pain run through her arm. She turned and saw a few jellyfish. Lua backed up from the little pink creatures, but the creatures seemed to be frightened by this strange visitor. More stings followed, on her arms and legs. Lua howled with pain, the sound muffled, and her mouth filled with salt water, she swam upwards, desperate to get to the surface, away from these jellyfish. It was so far away!
Her breath was running out. Lua swam as fast as she could as the jellyfish backed away, content that this unwelcome guest was leaving.
Her arms and legs hurt like crazy, and it felt like her lungs were about to burst. Black speckled the edge of her vision, and, besides hurting, her arms and legs were getting tired. But she pressed on. The surface was getting closer, her lungs, oh...
And then she burst through. Lua gasped for breath, coughing and sputtering. Red bumps were appearing all over her arms and legs, and it hurt to move them. Lua slowly swam to shore, ripping off the goggles so she could see better.
But she'd swam really far out. She could see Maria, Damen, and some guy she'd never seen before, but they were tiny. Lua struggled to swim towards them, gritting her teeth against the pain.
Then a wave swept up and carried her to shore, where she collapsed on the sand, gasping and hugging her arms to herself.

When the ground opened and Zac fell in Maria ran to the opening edge of the hole and peered down. She got down on her hands and knees and went as close to the hole as she dared and yelled down, "Can you hear me? Are you okay?" Damen came up slowly behind her being wary of the ground opening up any farther. "Maria, leave it. There's nothing we can do for him anymore." Maria shook her head, "No he could still be alive and he might need our help."
"I doubt anything that big needs help from the likes of us."
"Whatever, you can be as negative as you want but I'm not leaving until I know he's okay."

Damen sighed and turned around just in time to see Lua being carried to the shore by a wave. He watched as she collapsed onto the sand and stayed there. He became extremely worried that she could be hurt or worse. Without another thought he started running towards her as he called out her name. Maria noticed him leaving and shouted, "Damen, where are you...." her question was cut off when she noticed Lua laying on the sand. She was torn between running to check on Lua and staying by the hole. As Damen reached Lua in the sand Maria decided to stay by the hole, thinking that if she left then no one would be there to make sure the monster was alright, and she knew Lua was in good hands. She looked back down the hole and yelled again, "Hello?" She looked over to her side and saw a vine that had been wrapped around a tree but fell when the hole opened up. She thought it could lead her to the bottom of the hole. She seriously considered climbing down though knowing it would be a bad idea. Despite her warning thoughts however she got up and walked over to the vine, glanced one last time down the hole and started to climb down.

Damen knelt next to Lua in the sand and noticed little red bumps all over her skin. He thought of jelly fish stings and he quickly glanced out to the water. "Lua," he said softly looking back at her, "are you alright? What happened?"

Lua

"I-" Lua gasped, coughing up salt water, "I dived out there. Jel-" She coughed again. "Jellyfish...Not so friendly. Stings." She pointed to her arms and legs. "I was such an idiot. I wanted to dive, and I ran, found the goggles and flippers, and I plunged right into the water, not thinking of any of the-the dangers." She winced as she pulled herself up into a sitting position. She tossed the goggles to the side. "There could have even been sharks out there. I'm never doing that again," she said, shivering.

Zac could be heard down a long tunnil. He was roaring at something. Then there was a loud bang. "STUPID ANIMALS! YOU WILL NOT RELEASE HIM! NO LEAVE BEFOR I KILL YOU!" Zac said

As Maria reached the bottom of the hole she could hear Zac yelling at something or rather someone. She looked around but couldn't see much as it was pitch black. She could however just make out the opening to a tunnel leading away into the darkness. "Hello," she yelled down the tunnel. When there was no response she took a deep breath and took a step into the darkness. She placed her hand on the wall of the tunnel and proceeded to walk in a straight line down the tunnel towards the end where she could see a little glow of light.

Damen moved closer to Lua and put his arm around her rubbing her arms trying to get her to stop shivering. "I'll start on making a fire to help warm you up. I have no idea how to treat jellyfish stings but I think you should change your clothes. I'll make the fire out here in the sand." Forgetting all about how he left Maria over by the hole he got up and went into the woods to look for firewood. He therefore did not realize Maria was no longer at the top of the hole where he could see her. After several minutes of searching in the woods he had found enough firewood to start a decent fire. He brought the pile back out to the sand, and picked a spot over by a log where he set the pile down and began to make a small hole in the sand. He then stacked the pile of wood in the hole. He stood up and went to the clearing in the woods where he located his bag and looked through it until he found the lighter he always carried. Damen then went back to the pile and used his lighter to ignite a twig which he threw onto the pile. The fire caught and soon began to grow. He looked satisfied with his work and sat down using the nearby log as a bench.

"FOOLS! YOU THINK YOU DEFEAT ME!" A gun shot was heard. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWW! FOR A GHOST YOUR GUN IS REAL!" Zac seemed like he talking to a different person that was a ghost.

Lua

"Thanks," Lua said, inching closer to the fire. She was soon warmed.
"I took a medical class at the hospital for a few weeks," Lua said, "when I was 15. They told us about treating jellyfish stings, but it was a while ago." She frowned. "I need...hot water...or was it cold....wait, not cold, hot. Or even salt water. I think." She gestured to the ocean. "Which there is plenty of. It's a good thing those jellyfish were tiny, otherwise I could've been killed. I really am an idiot," she groaned, smacking her head and wincing at the pain in her arms. "But at least I paid for it." She stood up and hobbled down to the shoreline, inching into the water. Her legs stung worse as she stepped out further, and then her arms, but she did her best to ignore that. She swished her arms around in the water, gritting her teeth, and then sloshed her way to shore. Her arms and legs felt a bit better. "And..." Lua said, thinking. "There was vinegar involved. I know it." She hobbled her way to the jungle and pushed her way to the clearing, where all of the bags were. She pawed through the belongings until she found a small plastic bottle of vinegar. She also found a few first aid kits with gauze.
"I'm so glad I got those bags," she said to herself as she poured vinegar onto her wounds. "Ohhhhh," she groaned, gnashing her teeth together. She poured more vinegar onto the gauze and wrapped the gauze around her arms and legs. When the stinging went away a few minutes later, she felt much better. She hobbled her way back to the beach and looked around. "Well, that's be..." She trailed off. "Wait. Where's Maria?"

Maria continued walking to the end of the tunnel bearing through the pain that was shooting up her leg from her injured ankle. When she reached the end she stopped at the entrance to the opening of a large cavern with a high ceiling. Light was coming in from a small opening above. Standing directly in the middle was Zac who was, as much as she could tell, yelling at empty space. Maria became slightly worried about Zac and limped forward into the cavern. "Umm...Are you alright?" she asked loudly though shakily, "W...who are you yelling at?"

At the mention of Maria's name Damen immediately stood up, "Oh I know it sounds bad but I completely forgot about her. I was just so worried about you." He laughed unsteadily and looked over to the direction of where he had left Maria. Seeing she was no longer there he said, "I left her over by the hole that opened up. I don't see her though but she probably just sat down." Even as the words left his mouth he knew they weren't true but he forced himself to walk slowly and calmly over to the hole even though he wanted to run. As Damen reached the hole he glanced quickly all around but couldn't see her anywhere. He then looked at the opening of the hole and as much as he wanted to deny it to himself he knew that she had gone down there. He fell to his knees and moved to the edge of the hole where he shouted down into the darkness, "MARIA!" When there was no response he became extremely worried that the worst had happened to her. He quickly stood up and noticed, out of the corner of his eye, the vine she had used to climb down. He moved over to it and said, "I have to go after her." Without a second thought he climbed as fast as he could down the vine and into the blackness below.
