Flavia waded into the half deep water, away from everyone especially Rin.
"Why am I such a jerk! I can't even say I love you to Damen!"
Flavia gave a big sigh.

((No idea why I wrote this...))

"Well hi Anillee. I'm Damen and the people over there are my sister Maria and the girl next to her is Lua. It's good you survived. Come on." Damen said leading her to the others. Maria sat down in the sand and began to examine her ankle. "Hey this is Anillee," Damen said to the others. Maria nodded, "Would you know how to get this piece of metal out of my ankle Anillee," Maria asked. Damen sighed and sat next to her. He then ripped off the bottom of Maria'a knee length skirt leaving it considerably shorter. "What are you doing," Maria asked. "Just watch," Damen replied. He then pulled out the metal and a steady flow of blood came out as well. Maria sucked in her breath. Damen then proceeded to wrap the piece of cloth and tie it around her ankle. "There that should hold it for now, but be careful and try to stay off that leg," he said standing up. Maria laughed, "Yeah I'll just stay on the couch and watch t.v all day," she said sarcastically. Damen glanced around and saw Flavia standing by herself in the water. He walked over to the shoreline directly down from where she was standing. He wanted to go to her and make sure she was alright but something held him back. "By the way," Maria said hopping over to him, "That monster thing said something or someone was trying to get into his cave. Maybe we should go see if he needs our help." Damen shrugged, "It's none of our business." Maria leaned on him for support, "But he said he would help us if he needed it so we should do the same for him."

Flavia thought about running to Damen and give him a quick kiss and run away.. Hmm. No.. he might think I'm weird for doing that... she thought.
"Flavia! Get some courage and do it!! It'll be worth it at the end!" she muttered to herself.
She waded back to the shore, dripping wet, she inhaled and ran to Damen giving him a quick kiss before running away from him.

Lee looked up at the cave were the...thing, had disapeare to and smiled,"Oh boy, seems fun does it not? Although, you Maria, would need to stay down here with that leg you've got there." She started drawling on about what would happen if Maria used her injured ankle too much.

Lua

Lua looked around at everyone on the beach, astonished that this many people had survived, and walked over to where the jungle was. She glanced back at everyone else and entered the thick forestry, pushing branches out of her way as she explored. Lua planned, since they obviously weren't going anywhere, to build a hut. She started making herself a mental checklist for her future home from what she knew, which was:
Vines.
Bamboo.
Giant palm tree leaves.
Any wood that she could find.
She couldn't think of anything else at the moment, so she started looking for the items on her list.
There were many vines, but Lua couldn't get them because she needed a knife. She added that to her mental checklist, then backtracked and went back to the beach, a plan forming in her mind. She went over to the crashed plane. She could reach the door, which had been knocked off, and she pulled herself up and into the plane.
It was a wreck inside. Lua began her search for a knife and anything useful that she could find.
Well, there were lots of carry on bags strewn about, so Lua bent down to pick one up, a blue bag, and as she pulled it over her shoulder she turned, and a scream escaped her lips.
A dead man, in his forties, it looked like, was slouched in a seat, dried streaks of blood on his face. His eyes were wide open and looked both surprised and horrified.
Lua, trembling, made her way out of the plane, avoiding looking at the seats, picking up as many bags as she could carry and tossing them out of the plane before jumping out herself, landing on the sand. She reached for the first bag, the blue one, and zipped it open.
Men's clothes. A plastic canteen that could hold about half a liter of liquid, preferably in this case water. Leather shoes. A wallet, which Lua didn't open, just tossed to the side. She didn't want to see any I.D. of any of the dead people in the plane. A broken laptop. A glass bottle of cologne, which had leaked out and gave the entire contents of that bag the smell of it. Socks.
The next bag, which was pink and labeled Mary Kay, was filled to the brim with nothing but makeup. Lua sighed and opened the next bag, which was black, and contained to Lua's delight a knife and sheath.
Lua went through all of the bags until she found a pair of sneakers that were a bit big, but that was fine. She pulled off her sandals and put on a pair of socks and sneakers. She then pulled a pair of canvas pants on over her shorts and strapped the sheath to her belt and put the knife inside of it. She also found a light but sturdy jacket, many sizes too big but had many pockets. She put that on and pulled the bags to the edge of the forest, starting to sweat from the heat and her layers of clothing, then she turned and entered the jungle again, this time more prepared.

"Okay Anillee. I get it, I promise to stay off my leg," Maria said as she fell sitting into the sand. Maria then watched as Lua entered the woods, came out, enter the plane and then re-enter the woods. "Damen," she said tugging at his shirt trying to get his attention, "I think Lua is doing something and I don't think she should be in the woods by herself." Damen ignored her looking stunned after Flavia kissed him and ran off. Maria sighed, "You act like you've never been kissed before. Snap out of it." Damen shook his head as if to clear his thoughts then looked at Maria, "What were you saying?" Maria sighed again, "Lua, in the woods, by herself, not good." Damen nodded, "Oh right. Well you can't walk so get on my back." Maria jumped on his back and pointed him in the direction Lua had gone off in. Damen walked into the woods and they both started to shout out Lua's name. They saw her with a bunch of materials she must have salvaged from the plane. "What are you doing?" Maria asked, "You should have asked for help." Damen set Maria down and she leaned against a tree. He pointed to the things she had and said, "Are you planning to build a hut or something. If you are, well Maria's not much help but I can help you carry and cut down things if you want." Maria scoffed, "Not much help. On the contrary while you two go off looking for things I can watch over wherever we decide to make our home base and watch over the supplies." Damen nodded, "True. So how about it Lua? What some help?"

Lua

Lua looked at Maria and Damen over the armful of vines she was carrying. "Oh," she said, surprised, as she hadn't heard them approach. "I would like that. Thank you. Right now I'm getting vines, bamboo, giant palm tree leaves, and wood," she said, running over her mental checklist. "And I left five bags of stuff from the plane near the edge of the woods," she said. "I'll probably salvage some more from the plane, as many as I can get." She forced the image of the dead man out of her mind as she shivered, despite the fact that sweat was rolling down her back. "We should find fresh water, too. We'll need it," she said as she hacked at more vines with her knife.

Maria noticed a clearing off the side and said, "We could build over there." She hopped over to it and sat down right in the middle. Damen followed. The clearing was pretty large. Enough so that they could probably build several huts though that would take a lot of time. "Okay," Damen told Maria, "Wait here." He left the woods entirely and looked for the bags that Lua had taken from the plane. He found them and took them back to the clearing and gave them to Maria. He told her, "Since you shouldn't be walking you can sort through these bags and find anything we can use and throw anyway anything useless. If you're not sure then just wait until I come back." Maria nodded as she took the bags from Damen. She opened the first one and began to pour through its contents. Damen turned and went back to where Lua was. "So I guess you're in charge of the building effort since this was your idea. Anything you want me to do specifically?"

Lua

"Oh," Lua said. In charge? Her, in charge of something? That was new.
"Well...I guess you could..." Lua said, thinking to herself. "You can get palm tree leaves. Big ones. Thank you, you guys, for your help." She hacked at more vines until they were piled up to her chin, then went over to the clearing where Maria was going through the bags and set the vines down in a pile, then she went to get some more. After that, at the other side of the clearing Lua saw bamboo, tall bamboo, which was what she needed. She went over the bamboo and hacked them from the bottom with her knife, dragging them over though the clearing, near the vines.
"Oh," Lua said, "I almost forgot. We'll need a fire." She turned and ran back into the forest, peeling her shirt and jacket from her back and swiping the sweat off, the two garments falling back into place as more sweat rolled down her forehead.
Water. She needed water, fresh water. She leaned against a tree and took the jacket off, and looked around, holding her hand on her forehead so that sweat wouldn't drip down into her eyes. Then she heard, not far away, the sound of water. She stumbled in that direction and the sound grew louder and louder. She stumbled into a small clearing and looked up, gaping, at a waterfall that was about twenty feet tall, running over the rocks and crashing into the pool below, a small river coming out of it and heading in the direction of the sea. Lua immediately stripped down to her underwear and dove into the sweet, blessed cold water, gulping it down as she swam along. She swam underwater, peeking her eyes open, and saw rocks and moss along the bottom ten feet below. Little schools of fish and small frogs were swimming around. Lua popped back up to the surface and sucked in a breath of air, then dove down again and popped back up, pulling herself up to the soft grass and laying there for a minute, staring at the sky and sighing. That was so much better.
Lua then hopped up, pulled her clothes back on, and ran back to the clearing, saying, "A pool, a river, a waterfall. Fresh water. Not far away. I can show you." She wrung out her hair and grinned, feeling quite refreshed.

Maria had gone though three of the five bags. She found several snack items such as granola bars, peanuts, juice boxes and other such things that people had bought for the plane ride. She also found some items of clothing she thought might be useful. She put clothes she found for girls in one bag, clothes for boys in another and all the food stuff in another. She was just starting on the fourth one when Damen came back carrying as many palm tree leaves as he could. His voice came from behind the pile he was carrying as it was tall enough to cover his face. "How's it coming Maria?" he asked as he put all the leaves down next to her. "Great," she replied, "I found food, so I'm excited." The pile of leaves toppled over and fell onto Maria. She laughed and pushed them off. Just then Lua came bursting into the clearing saying something about a pool of fresh water she had found. "That's great," Damen said, "We're making quite a bit of progress today." Lua said she would show them where it was. So Damen picked up his sister and followed Lua as she led them to the water. When they arrived Maria gasped, "Oh yay. I feel so dirty." Damen set her down by the edge of the water pool. Maria took off her flats that she had been wearing. She unwrapped her ankle and dipped the cloth into the water. She then re-wrapped her ankle. Her ankle was swollen and the water felt good. Then she put her feet in the water and sighed, "Oh this is great. I wouldn't mind staying on this island as long as I get to stay by the water all the time." She laid back in the grass leaving her feet dangling in the water. Damen smiled at his sister, "Well you don't get to stay by the water the whole time. So enjoy it while you can." Maria frowned, "Why do you always have to crush my dreams?" "As your brother it's my job," Damen said as he took off his shoes as well. He took off his shirt, leaving his shorts on, and jumped into the water causing a big splash that got Maria wet. She laughed. Damen started floating on his back and said, "This does feel great. Too bad we have to go back to work soon."

Amazingly zac killed all the lions but one. The lion that got in was thrown into a tree. Zac came out and grabbed a tree out of the ground. He used his claws to make a giant spear. "NO ONE! I REPEAT! NO ONE ENTERS MY CAVE!" Zac said stabbed the lion. He then put the spear in the ground, with the lion stuck on there on the top, in front of his cave.

Lua

Lua grinned and said, "Especially with the temperatures here. I should probably find lighter clothes," she said. Then she got up from where she was sitting by the water side and said, "I'm going back to the plane to salvage some more stuff." She turned and headed to the beach. The plane was a little ways off, and Lua jogged to it, trying not to think about the unfortunate dead people.
It's necessary that I get all the supplies that I can. Who knows what might happen to the plane? It could even explode for all I know. She took a deep breath when she reached the door of the plane and pulled herself up and into the plane, not looking at the seats and the bodies in them, just the bags strewn about. Lua grabbed bag after bag, dragging them out and throwing them to the sand, going to retrieve more, as many as she could get.
Despite all that she did, she still saw a dead body out of the corners of her eyes, images that would haunt her for the rest of her life. It was all she could do not to jump out of the plane and run, but her more practical side told her that the contents of these bags would help, most definitely.
Lua went to the front, near the door to where the plane was flown, and saw pieces of broken metal scattered about. So this is where the cause of Maria's injury came from. As far as I can guess, anyways. She then peered to the side and saw a thick, broken piece, roughly rectangle shaped but with outward curving edges on the right side.
This looks perfect for a hatchet, Lua thought as she carefully picked it up. She brought it outside and wrapped it in a thick sweatshirt so she wouldn't get cut by it, then went back into the plane to salvage the other bags she saw.
Well, she thought as she pulled the last bags out, This should do it. She then dragged the bags to the clearing, making many trips, and as she came back to the beach for the last bags, she saw with shock that smoke was coming out of the engine on the plane, thickly.
Uh-oh. This isn't good. Lua took the bags and ran to the clearing with them, her arms straining and sweat pouring off of her, and dropped the last of them into the pile of many bags.

((Should the plane explode soon? biggrin ))
