“Sorry, I was in slight shock from being in contact with a creature that supposedly only exit in myth.” Rowen said sarcastically. It wasn’t every day that one was tricked and then thrust into an area inhabited by dragons. “I hope not to be your food.” He muttered under his breath and then turned his attention to the darkness dragon.

“The United Corporation Co. has putting up help wanted posters all over the place asking for interns and helpers to help take care of the ‘animals’ that they have here. I answered the add for not only the money, but because I love animals. It would seem like the help wanted posters is just bait to lure others here, but I don’t know why.” He explained. It still seemed to surreal to him.

Spiker shook his head before looking down at the small human creature that was pretty far away. " Shock haha, i would understand i was in such or awe when i first met your species." He said with a smile before peering away and looking into the distance. He then peered back at the human whinceing his eyes. " So so? You don't want to be ate ill take that into note." He said raising a eyeridge then the other and again. He listened to the other speak and continueing to talk and talk about why he was brought here. He looked away and then looked towards the windows and doors. " Ah, so you were tricked to be brough in here, im sorry for that i would hate to be in your shoes. And i can not really think of why any human would put another human into her. Cruel if you ask me." He spoke his voice booming before he looked towards the wall. " If i get out of hear ill teach them to not be cruel to my or your species." He said before looking up at the light laughing. " Well that would not likely happen ive tried. Now im used to living here, well over there i have only been allowed to watch the other dragons." He said looking away and sighing before glancing to the green dragon. " They put the title of evil on my head beacuse of my colors! my colors its idoiotic." He said letting out a growl. He stomped on of his claws onto the ground before squinting his eyes. " Humans, humans are wrong in the way they think." He spoke outloud before straighting himself up and speaking calm again. " Well most are." He said before glancing down to his claws.

Rowen gave the darkness dragon a sad smile, but it couldn’t be seen since his blue bandana covered the lower half of his face. “I know how you feel. I prefer the company of animals then my own kind. Animals are much more accepting then humans.” He said his tone sad. He had lost track of all of the people who had judged him and scorned him because of his scars.

Spiker looked at rowen and noticed a change in his stature and attitude. Poor human is sad. I upset him well not the way i was going but its something. He thought before the other heard him speak sadly. " Well don't worry im accepting why would i not be i mean, im a outcast myself. So i guess animals are accepted i think they are both equally unaccepting in my case." He said letting out a snort some grey smoke coming from his nostrils. " Atleast i think its unfair for the humans to be mean to humans, well i guess rabbits always tended to like me." He said a smile on his face before he took a step forward and sat down again. Trying to get closer to the human without over stepping his bounds, you must show respect to all sentinal beings, where it be animal or humaniod. He closed his eyes before re opening them they were still the same soft yellow. " Well i guess this is odd for you, i do hope you don't run across the black dragon, i don't hate him, but he gives me a bad name." He said softly looking to his tail and pulling it around and placing it in his mouth. " See im pwayfwull." He said a smile forming around his tail. He let it hang in his mouth for a few seconds before smiling. " Well sometimes anyways, i just don't want you to fear me." He said before looking away. " Of course if i did i could easily do that im powerfull hah." He said a wide cocky grin forming on his face.

“Really?” Rowen quietly questioned at Spiker saying that he was accepting. He absentmindedly ran is finger over his bandana that covered his scars. After he had gotten his scars from the same accident that took his parents people look at him differently. He had gotten tired from the looks people would give when they saw his scars. He had became slightly annoyed by looks of pity that others would give him, but what hurt the most was the looks of disgust people gave him when they saw his scars. The only one who looked at him as if he was normal was his adopted sister and family.

Spiker looked at the human and nodded before shaking his head. " I had a mate not long ago, when i was still young and she was the ugliest thing, atleast thats what everyone told me, but i loved her for who she was." He said with a smile before looking down towards Rowen. " And your not ugly in my eyes, even though your a human, i don't think of humans as ugly or unacceptable. Heck i would even let one stay with me." He said with a smile before looking away. Only beacuse im lonely. He thought before looking back his eyes ridges drooped. He swipped his tail side to side then nodded. " I accept you ... uh who are you human?" He asked a eye ridge rising and his wings spreading out. He took a few more steps closer facing his eyes toward the green dragon. He knew very little of all the other species of dragons, except to be warry when you are near them no matter how young they are or look. He glanced down at the huma and sat being even closer. " Now the question is will you accept this big creepy dragon, The dragon called Spiker." He said saying his name with quite a boast and power.

Rowen listened as Spiker told him of his mate. He felt some hope fill him at Spiker’s words, but was still worried. Bur the words of his sister rang in his head, ‘you’re a good soul with a kind heart and I’m sure you’ll find someone that sees that just like I do, but you’ll never know if you don’t take a chance.’ Well now was a time for him to take a chance.

“I’m Rowen, Rowen Everard...” He started and then pulled down the blue bandana that covered the lower half of his face reveling it. “...I’ll accept you if can accept someone so mutilated by scars like me.” He said his voice a bit shaky as he gave Spiker an uneasy yet hopeful smile. A moment later he looked away a little fearful of how Spiker would look at him.

Spiker looked at Rowen for a few seconds his eyes wide then he looked down at his feet. " You know scars are kinda hot, no mater how you get them. I guess they even look good on humans." He said looking back up at Rowen a grin on his face. " You really don't need to worry, im one of the kindest ones here. Well i think so, but thats just me." He said with a smile before looking down. " Rowen Everad that is new. Ill have to mark that down somewhere. Well if we are going to be formal im Spiker Draston." He said with a smile before looking away. He then stood up and looked back towards Rowen dimming the lights near them. " Sorry sometimes light bothers me, plus the darkness is romantic in a sense, me and my mate loved it when it was dark. She died in battle before i came here. She fought i didn't i always pretented like i was to young or inexperienced." He said with a grin before walking closer to the human before sitting. Ill let him make the rest of the advance. He thought to himself before looking at the scars again. " Almost like a cats stripes." He said outloud with a joyous smile.

Rowen went bright red at Spiker’s words. And as the darkness dragon continued to talk he kept getting redder and redder. It was probably a miracle that he hadn’t fainted yet from all of the blood rushing to his head. He almost imagine his family, adoptive and blood related, dropping hints right about now. But they would have been subtle about it, he sure his aunt would be subtle about it, His adoptive sister on the other hand...Well his adoptive sister would have been as subtle as a flying mallet. But there was still that fear that lingered, a fear of being rejected.

Spiker looked at Rowen as his face turned red. it just kept getting redder and redder and redder but no words were being formed. He started to worry and took a few steps forward. " Are you sick? your head is very red." He said with a tilt of confusion. He walked closer into touching range and placed his tail across the others forhead. " Wow your hot, your burning up." He said pulling his tail back behind himself. He then back off a few steps keeping his eye on the human. If he faints or dies i can't do nothing. He said before his eyes went black the area around him going black as well. making him seem invisable. What if he dies, I can't do nothing. He thought before he relaxed himself the lights all going back to being bright. " Your not hurt are you? Im sorry if i harmed you i don't know how i did but, im sorry." He said sadly.

Rowen jumped when Spiker touched him. It took him a moment to collect himself, which kind of failed at. “N...no, no that’s not it, that’s not it at all.” He explained as he shook his head. His blush was still there, but not as red as before. “I’m...just not used to others giving me complements. H-humans blush sometimes when they are embarrassed or flattered.” He explained further. He thought would be a good idea to add the blushing part just in case Spiker didn’t know.

Spiker looked at Rowen and then looked down embarresed at his rash actions. He then looked up glad the other was fine and not injured or sick. He then smiled and looked away. " Well i was not meaning to give you compliments i was just speaking my mind and telling the truth. And blush huh? Well im glad i flattered you i suppose not really sure though." He said before looking behind him. " I did not mean to touch you, if that was to far i was just worried sorry." He said softly before looking down at the human a smile forming.

“Thank you.” Rowen said softly as he gave Spiker a shy smile. “My scars have kind made me into a shut in. It became even worse after my ex-girlfriend.” He explained, but soon clammed up. His ex was very touchy and painful subject. After the horrid break-up he wanted nothing more to do with the women and his sister, well he had to hold his sister back from tearing the b***h of an ex to pieces.
