☆Jaxxon Marie - Jaxx

She can captivate to hit the ice,
But she never lets you in.

Jaxxon paced back and forth between the trees, now on slight edge. Her silver eyes closed as she paced. Her petite body trembling slightly in anticipation. With all senses alert, she simply was in a mode to protect and fight. The sudden edginess for no reason slightly concerned her. Usually she was calm and collect inside, though she didn't often show it on the outside, she just had issues wording things nicely. Something was bugging her, yet she herself didn't even knwo what it was. Looking back to the house with almost a concerned look on her face, Jaxxon saw Richard, still looking as cold and distant as ever.

She didn't ask him to stay, she simply didn't want him killed. Yet he felt like he owed her. The act of kindness from her came from nowhere. No matter what she said, she felt if he wanted to leave he could. Frowning softly as she looked at him, she felt sad for him. Why he thought he owed her loyalty was beyond her. "You're a better lycan then I ever could be." She muttered softly to herself before shoving the strands of fiery red hair from her face. Jumping onto a low hanging branch, she waited still, wondering when Sitka would venture out.

In the dark she lingers,
Like a tear without a soul.
The sky could be blue, could be gray,
Without you, I'd just
slip away...

Gemma sighed as she watched Aurora leave. She was hurrying toward Sitka. That was unsurprising. Smiling lightly, the mother rose to her feet. It was at least nice to see them talking, as she had pointed out earlier. It was communication, at the very least. The lycan could not help but wonder what life would be like if Aurora spoke her mind to Sitka. It was obvious through his dedication that he cared for her as well. Still, would they be able to sustain a relationship? There was no telling now.

At this point, Gemma's ears were strong enough to pick up on what Aurora might say to the alpha, but she decided instead to keep herself from eavesdropping. She strolled toward the house, and on the way spotted another one of her pack mates. She smiled to Richard, waved hello and offered a vocal greeting of a good morning. Around the same time, she caught a scent of Jaxxon and decided not to wait around. There was very little doubt in her mind that he would actually pay attention to her if she tried to start a conversation. Still, she kept smiling until she moved inside. It was at that time that she realized that the house smelled like a single person. Lucian was still inside. Her smile came back in a half-hearted manner. He was heading out too, wasn't he? Honestly, she worried quite a bit for his safety. Slowly, she shook her head. She had to trust that he would be smart about his actions.

Trying to push off the thought, and the gradually rising worry for all of her pack mates, Gemma decided to collect some things for a shower.

After he had finished getting dressed, throwing on a white tank-top with a black long-sleeved over shirt along with a pair of jeans and tennis shoes, Lucian emerged from his room. His hair was still as disheveled as ever, and dark bags hung under his eyes, but at least he didn't look like a complete bum now. He had thrown his coat over his left shoulder, and had been preparing to make his way down the stairs to meet up with Sitka only to freeze mid-step. Taking a quick whiff of the air, the lycan raised an eyebrow as he caught hold of a familiar scent.

...huh? What's she still doing here?

Hesitating for a moment, Lucien held his breath for a moment, trying to see if he could pick out the sound of footsteps from downstairs, though after a few seconds of hearing nothing but the pattering of rain the lycan sighed and continued on his way. Geez, he still couldn't believe how good it felt to finally get a chance to visit vamps. There'd been plenty more 'mysterious deaths' in Seattle as of late, and really those pompous pretty boys were just asking for the crap to get kicked out of them. This was going to be one hell of a day...he was sure of that.

After getting halfway through picking out something to wear for the day ahead, Gemma stopped and sighed. She should ask Lucian not to go. That weighed heavily on her mind. If she told him that, though, she might come off as controlling, which she did not wish to be. On top of that, if she did by some miracle convince him not to go, then Sitka might be left on his own. Gently, she shook her head. Don't disrupt the order of things. Taking a deep breath, she realized how shallow her breathing was. With a frown, she gripped her hands into fists and allowed herself to fall sideways on her bed.

This was not serious in her opinion. As long as she could regulate her breathing, she would be okay. Rolling over onto her back, she spread her arms wide. Then she took in air through her nose, only to push it out a few seconds later. Her heart skipped a few beats, and her stomach churned, but eventually she was able to steady her breathing. At that point, she pushed herself up. Her lungs surprised her by forcing another wave onto her. This time, she coughed until she thought the issue was cleared up. One hand grabbed her shirt over the heart, the other on a sheet. It took some time, but eventually she really got herself under control. She flopped over onto her back. Frustration welled up in the form of tears, but she rolled over onto her stomach and hid her face in the quilt on the bed. Maybe she would just sleep for a little bit.

Even from her spot outside on the tree branch, Jaxxon could pick up on Gemma coughing. 'Another attack?' Jaxxon thought with a frown. Though her and Gemma weren't close as some of the others were, she respected the women. She cared so much for everyone, and always saw the light in others, while fighting an entirely different battle herself. Shifting on the branch, she leaped down, landing on her feet with ease. Knowing well Lucian was still inside, Jaxx figured he would go see if she was alright, he usually did. He seemed to have a softness for her, whether it be protective, friendly, or more, she didn't look much into it. Leaning against the tree she looked towards the door, her eyes drifting for a moment to Richard before searching the windows of the house.

As Lucian was about to make his way down to the stairwell, something caught his attention. From Gemma's room, he heard a bit of shuffling. That didn't catch his attention, she was probably getting dressed or something for the shopping trip. What really sent a chill down his spine though was, after a moment of silence, he heard a fit of coughing. Dammit, he glanced down the hallway, eying the woman's door. If those get any worse, she's going to end up hacking up a lung, he thought to himself as he took a step towards her room. He never liked it when she got into one of those fits, hell...he didn't think anyone did. But, still...he'd gotten the crap beaten out of him more than once, and he lost count of the number of times he'd nearly died, but he never-

Lucian snapped out of his thoughts, scowling. What the hell was he doing? Gettin' lost in his thoughts like that? Realizing that the coughing had stopped, the lycan took a single step towards her room, hesitating for a moment. What was she doing...?
. He couldn't hear her moving about anymore, was she alright? Arriving at the door to her room, Lucian reached for the knob, but stopped just short of it. With a sigh, he knocked.

"Hey, you alright?" He called, faintest hint of concern able to be heard in his normally crabby attitude.

Gemma had done a quasi form of passing out. Coughing took it out of her. Footsteps sounded like part of some fuzzy dream, but the knock on the door was quite a bit more real. Her head jerked up slightly. She recognized Lucian's voice and reddened in the face a little. Either he had sensitive ears, or she had been coughing louder than she had thought. Who are you kidding? With a sigh, she sat up and stared at the door. Her toes curled as she replied.

"I-I'm fine," she said. Then, upon thought, she continued, "I mean... I will be." She realized that conversation from across a room and on other sides of a door was rather impersonal. If she got up, though, she worried that she might get dizzy and fall over. Instead, she sat and stared at the door with an apologetic smile on her face. Here eyes went crossed and she lay back down on the bed. She would be fine. Still, she felt compelled to add more to what she had said.

"Sorry."

~Richard Silversun~

Does the fear I instill into your very being overwhelm all your senses and leave you frozen?

The Alpha’s presence brought Richard back to reality. A nod of his head in Gemma’s direction before resuming his observations, completely silent as a familiar scent drifts through the air. His nose twitching slightly as his gaze slowly strays to Jaxxon or what he could glimpse of her. The thoughts related to the life debt echoing throughout his skull loudly, a constant reminder whenever he focused entirely on her. But, diverts his gaze before any trouble may arise from obviously staring as his ears suddenly pick up on the sound of a cough, it wasn’t so long ago since Gemma reentered through the front door of the pack’s house. A small shred of concern surfacing as his chest clenched slightly. He may be distant but he still had emotions like every other living creature and sometimes desired her illness to be non-existent. But…life was naturally unfair on everyone.

His attitude was being affected by all these pack members so different from his own! His stubborn nature still held on. Usually, he wasn’t so concerned with anything anymore other than his brother’s health. Would it bother anyone if he sent a letter? But, the matter of how to send a letter without creating suspicion posed a problem. The only way was to conceal any and all emotions with his aloofness, stubbornness, and indifference. Already remembering that he thought much about keeping distance from the pack members without gaining any form of attachment to them, so, what if the life debt was a thread connecting him here? It wasn’t unusual. But, a simple life debt couldn’t be the only thing. He had been monitoring his behavior when he stuck around for several days, weeks, and even months. There were small ramifications. A tiny change that he wasn’t concerned about until now as his gaze once again becomes focused on Jaxxon. There was a sense of gratefulness whenever he glanced at her. He was honor bound so no surprise there. What was it? He shook his head. The alpha's presence didn't bother as much as it usually did.

Feeling eyes on her, she looked back again to see Richards gaze set on her. 'Why does he torture himself, doesn't he realize if he left no one would really go after him?' She wondered her herself, he always looked lost in though and angry, really there was only one reason she could think of. Shoving at the strands of bright red hair, she nodded softly to him before turning back once she figured Lucian had gone to Gemma. Her smile fell slightly but came once more as she moved deeper into the forest. 'What is taking Sitka so long? If he is going alone so help me god I will find him.'

it's over I didn't want to see it come to this
I wonder if I will ever see your face again

It took the wolf a few minutes to respond. Her sudden confrontation was almost startling. Nevertheless, his pale blue eyes settled gently on Aurora. “I won’t” he paused, running his fingers through his ebony hair. “Unless Jax and Lucien decide they don’t wanna go…” A small frown played gently on his lips as he looked over her damp hair. Responsively, he took a step closer then leaned down enough to be at eye level with the human. “You’re gonna get sick” Concern stained his normally cold tone as he gently brushed her hair away from her face and pulled up the hood of the oversized coat. A crooked smile pulled the left corer of his lips up slightly.

Aurora was about to argue with him about going alone when she was completely surprised by his actions. She felt a blush burn her cheeks as he pushed her hair away and put the hood up on the jacket. She put her head down, hoping he hadn't seen "Don't worry about me so much. I'll be-" In that instant she sneezed and sniffled "Okay, maybe you're right."

A small, barely audible laugh suddenly slipped from Sitka’s lips, then faded as he caught of glimpse of her seemingly pink cheeks. However, he quickly tossed it up to being cold. She wouldn't blush because of him, would she? “You should be more careful, Rorie…” The crooked smile widened, revealing a set of straight white teeth. “Last I checked, humans don’t do well in the cold” He shoved his hands in his pockets and let his shoulders rest against the trunk of the large tree. After taking a brief glance around, he returned his attention to her. “Let’s go get you some coa coa.. I’ve got a couple minutes before I have to go anyway” With that he moved slowly to the front door and pulled it open, waiting for her to follow.

Aurora nodded. He was right with the fact that humans weren't that great with the cold; he was nice and warm all the time. She followed his steps and stepped into the house, enjoying the heat she received. She took off the soaked jacket and shook her head, water going everywhere. She turned back to look at him and sighed "Why do you even have to go in the first place? Could you just stay home with-" She caught herself right before the final word escaped her lips. She slammed her mouth closed for a second then sighed.

Jaxxon sat waiting patiently for Sitka and Lucian to leave. Though she never agreed to go, or informed anyone that she would, she had a feeling Sitka expected her too. She usually did, whether it was directly with them, or behind in case something went wrong. Backup, in a way. Hearing the door, she turned and glanced over her shoulder as Sitka and Aurora headed inside. "It must be time to go soon..." She murmured under her breath, her silver eyes alive with impatience. her mind and body were already ready, and on edge. With her senses alert and high, she simply paced back and forth between the tree's.

Well…” He followed her inside and made his way quickly to the kitchen. Though, he paused to glance back at her as she cut off the end of her sentence. His left eyebrow cocked curiously, though it was hard to see behind his hair. For a moment, he considered asking her what she was going to say, but decided against it as it may only irritate her further. After redirecting his attention to the task at hand, he finished his explanation. “Vampires are like rhodents….” He stuck two mugs of milk in the microwave and turned it on. “If you let a few in, more will follow…. “ After a moment of scooping powdered chocolate into the glasses he took a seat at the table and set one of the two drinks in front of Aurora. “And besides. Seattle’s already a dangerous place. I worry about you enough without them crawling around in the shadows..”
