Victoria instanly smiled. "As if, I would ever get upset about you." She laughed. She leaned against his arm. "Just missing some of my old life." She shook her head. "It's nothing anyway...just some stupid feelings." She laughed absentmindly and waved her hands in the air as if literally moving the feelings away. She didn't want anyone to worry about her or get worried about her.

Then Victoria rememered that she was upset with him. "You cheater." She hit him. "You came out of nowhere and took two of them." She turned and faced him. "Techincally speaking I got the biggest so I should be the winner!" She stuck oout her tongue and crossed her arms over her chest. She wasn't really upset and a smile was playing on her lips, but she tried her best not to let it show.

Gabriel grinned and took a step away from her, slowly removing his hand from her shoulder. He cocked his head to the side looking down at her with a superior expression on his face. He shook his head and held up his hands as though defending himself.

"Hey, you never set any rules. So technically I didn't cheat! But realistically, since I not only got two, but that also means I got more volume of blood than you, I think that means I win."

He grinned and chuckled, almost snorting at his own stupidity, and then looking around cautiously. The others should be back by now. He squared his shoulders once more, naked chest rippling. His eyes darted around the forest and he looked down again.

Victoria shook her head. "That makes no sense." She sighed. It was absolutely not fair to look as gorgeous as he did. Victoria bit her lip. "Besdies...I should get extra points for style." She laughed, making up something as she went. "I actually used my charm instead of attacking them like an animal." She teased.

Victoria wanted to do anything to distract herself. Damn, damn, damn. She thought. She caught herself staring. Not only at the incredibly irrestible pack he was sporting, but his face too. And, of course, if he was a total jerk she would definitely not like him, but he was caring and protective....

Victoria shook her head. She smiled. She was losing her mind.

After a nice long bath, Aurora got out, draining the tub and wrapping a towel around her body. She unlocked the door and slowly made her way to her room. She threw on a pair of old jeans and an old t-shirt that was way too big for her, but she didn't care it was comfortable. She put her hair up on her head and headed out of the room. She had just made her way into the living room when she saw Jaxx on the couch. She sighed,"So you got pretty beat up too, huh?"

Hearing Aurora's voice, Jaxxon opened her eyes. "Hey." She muttered lightly before smiling. Trying to sit up, she'd forgotten all about her broken ribs. Wincing she nodded softly. "I'm not too shabby, you should see the other guy." Delo's wounds were relatively the same as her's only, his ribs were still nice and intact. She smirked slightly, she knew Sitka wasn't in too good of shape, and neither was Lucian, but they were all still alive, and that was the important thing. Scooting over, Jaxxon made room on the couch in case she wanted to sit. "How are you doing?"

"A little better after taking a bath." Aurora smiled back and knelt by Jaxx's side, pushing some hair out of her face "Is there anything I can get you? I'm still considering going out shopping of Mom hasn't already gone on her own. I could pick you up something." Sure, maybe the two of them didn't talk much, but she had grown used to Jaxx and all her little twirks. Besides, it was the least she could do for her.

"Mom went out on a small hunt actually. I don't know if Sitka would want you and her out there alone, even if it's only a trip to the store." Jaxxon told the girl lightly, offering a smile. If they needed Jaxxon would tag along with them, she was the least hurt out of the stronger group, beside Richard who'd disappeared. Looking over at her Jaxxon nodded softly, "Thanks though." No one really ever saw that Jaxxon wasn't always a b***h, really it was just the way she came off, she could be nice. "If you ever need anything, don't be afraid to ask Aurora, I'm not all bite, I promise." She said with a soft laugh.

Aurora smiled warmly at her "I'll keep that in mind." She sat on the floor in front of Jaxx and sighed. She looked over at her, a little bit of a curious look on her face, "So how was the 'negotiation' anyway? Were any of them killed?" Of course she was a little curious; she wasn't a part of the fight and she wanted to know how it was for them. That, and it may get Jaxx's thoughts off her cuts and broken bones.

Frowning Jaxxon looked out the window., she wasn't sure if Sitka wanted her to know what happened. "Sadly no, they are all still alive, but so are we." Forcing a smile Jaxxon looked back down at her as she stretched out on the couch again. "Right now, that's what matters, we all need each other more then we ever think." 'Of course we all needed eachother but who needed eachother more? Sitka needed Aurora as Aurora needed him, and mom, while Lucian needed Gemma, but who do I need? Richard didn't need anyone, he was barely even around. I have no one.' She thought almost bitterly. "No, the negotiation didn't go so well, they weren't supposed to come find the house. That stupid little brat." Jaxxon growled softly.

Remembering the girl calling to her gave Aurora a chill down her spine; that was one thing she was happy was gone. She wasn't sure if Jaxx was forcing her smile or not, but she decided to go along with it and nodded in agreement, "Definitely. Though, I wish you guys would try to not get yourselves hurt for once. I hate seeing any of you like this, especially since there's nothing I can do to help." Aurora pulled her knees up to her chest and rested her head on her knees, sighing deeply.

Looking down at her Jaxxon frowned, nudging her slightly. "Oh, come on, we are all tough. We don't try, it just happens." Leaning in closer Jaxxon whispered softly into her ear, "Boys are just temperamental and get sour over little things. Can't trust them to do anything without getting into trouble. Boys will be boys." Laughing, Jaxxon leaned back into the couch before getitng up, she was already feeling a bit better. Stretching her arms, she shrugged at the pain, it sucked but she wasn't about to cry over a scratch. "Are you hungry?"

Admittedly, Gemma was not the post stellar of predators, and had a difficult time keeping up with faster prey. She was not the worst hunter in the history of the Silversun pack, but she was unpracticed enough that it was fairly difficult for her to be a huntress. Fortunately, however, she was able to catch a rabbit with some effort. Though she caught the little beast with her teeth and had given it a somewhat rough end, she now cradled the little corpse in her arms.

It was only natural for a wolf to hunt rabbits. 'Mom' accepted this readily, as she ate rabbits rather regularly when there was no food within the house. Still, it only seemed right to treat the body with a little bit of respect - if for nothing else, then for the taste. A less bruised body made for better meat anyway, right? She decided to walk back home, because she was a little winded. Still, she walked with purpose, hoping that the creature she held in her arms would be sufficient for Jaxxon for the time being.

Delos let out a sigh the others were probably waiting for him. Heading the way he'd seen them travel it didn't take him very long to find them. From the looks of things they'd had their fill of the hikers. Standing behind Allissia he waited for the others, they were only a few miles off. He wasn't worried about announcing his presence, he was sure that she could feel him. She always did. Delos closed his eyes in contempt as he leaned against a tree in wait, they'd meet up soon enough.

Sitka’s lifeless eyes wandered around the surrounding forest. The sound of Aurora’s voice inside seemed to bring some level of peace to his still flaming temper. The portch squeaked as he stepped off of it and made his way into the near by woods. It took longer than usual – thanks to his now bum leg – though he managed to follow Gemma’s scent and found her walking home a little while later. Anger lit up his stare as he approached her “You shouldn’t be out here alone.. It’s dangerous right now, Gemma.” However, his harsh expression softened a little as he noticed the prey laying her arms. They were out of food, after all. A long sigh slipped from his lips as he shoved his rough hands in his pockets. ‘can’t do anything right today’.. He thought grimly.




And I know that I will find a way to shed my skin

Aurora gave a half hearted smile and sighed "Ya, I know." She rolled her eyes and shook her head at Jaxx's question "Don't worry about that. If anyone should eat it should be you guys." She stood up, dusted her clothes and made her way to the kitchen. "We may not have much, but we may have some left over eggs from this morning."
