"...That is troublesome," murmured Gemma. Her eyes wizened slightly, but she kept working on Jaxx's shoulder. Having the enemy know your base of operations was never a good thing. Though she had never felt the need to worry about this issue as seriously as she did now, the softer female knew this to be something to fear. Keeping her calm was surprisingly easy, however. She had mastered this through facing many serious moments within the pack. It made things worse to panic. Replacing a bloody cotton ball with a new one, she continued patting the red-head's wound clean.

Despite the weight of the conversation, Gemma found herself smiling. Jaxxon was a strong woman. That was a well established fact, of course, but sometimes her domineering and threatening behavior covered up just how astounding she could be. Even though she poked and prodded this raw wound with a stinging alcohol, Gemma did not get any real reaction from Jaxxon about it. It was an interesting thing, being able to admire strength while worrying about something. Perhaps that was only natural, though. When trouble began, the weak often looked toward the strong. Noting a faint skip in her own heartbeat, Gemma definitely counted herself among the weak - not to have a pity party now. There was still much to discuss.

"But maybe we can think of it like even Stevens," she said. "We can sniff them out when we please, can't we?"

☆Jaxxon Marie - Jaxx

She can captivate to hit the ice,
But she never lets you in.

Jaxxon looked over at Gemma briefly thinking over what she'd said. "Well, yes, but the trick would be getting close enough without them knowing we are there. And they know our scents relatively well now." Closing her eyes Jaxxon inhaled deeply, letting it out slow. They'd have to think of something soon, right now there were two strong groups both wanting to rip the other apart. After a while Jaxxon felt her stomach protest the lack of food. "I don't suppose you guys had gone shopping before this happened, huh?"

"No, unfortunately not," responded Gemma with an apologetic look. She had finished cleaning Jaxxon's shoulder, and now took some gauze to wrap it with. At the same time, she decided to go around the fact that Aurora and Sitka had been in a bit of a spat before the three had left. She paused for a moment. Three? Her eyes went a little wide and she tried to search the air for a familiar scent. She bit her lip. Where was Lucian? Shouldn't he have come back with Sitka and Jaxx? She looked at Jaxxon with a worried expression. Then the panic ebbed away and she breathed a sigh. Once again, she could not allow herself to panic. Lucian was a big boy, and he could take care of himself in this situation. Besides, Jaxxon would say something if she knew he was hurt, wouldn't she? She returned to earlier matters.

"...Since you were counting on us for that, how about I go and get something when I'm done with this?"

Once her shoulder was wrapped, Jaxxon nodded slightly. "Thanks." her eyes wandered on the gauze again, and the disinfectant. "Can I borrow those then?" She said pointing to the other cuts she said she'd take care of herself. Jaxxon smiled at her before nodding. "If you want to I'm sure we can all go hunting too or have one of us go. I don't think Sitka would want you to go alone, or Aurora to go at all. I don't know though." Shoving at the strands of bright red hair, Jaxxon looked at Gemma, her own eyes reflecting in Gemma's worry. though that expression faded just a quick as it'd appeared. in all truth, she never had words of comfort or anyone of the pack.

In the dark she lingers,
Like a tear without a soul.

Gemma just smiled at Jaxxon as she spoke of Sitka's worries. She hardly supposed that the Alpha cared too much what happened to her so long as Aurora was safe. It was not in her to point that sort of thing out, though. It was a little heartless. Taking up the gauze and disinfectant, she handed them to Jaxx with a smile.

"Do what you need," she said calmly. Then she rose to her full height, which was not very impressive. "Anything in particular you want to eat?" Though Gemma was not the best hunter, she was willing to serve those she had let down, especially if it was meal-wise. No one should be hungry if it could be helped. On top of that, she had another reason for heading out. Naturally, she worried about her family when they were away. So often they left to do dangerous things. While Sitka and Jaxxon had come home at least mostly intact, she had yet to see hide or hair of Lucian, who was rather brash when he wanted to be. She still trusted that she would be told if he was... more than wounded, but looking for herself might help to put her mind at ease.

"We could always go later too..." Her voice trailed off slightly. She'd gotten the feeling Gemma wanted to go for more then one reason. Shrugging, Jaxxon smiled lightly, "As long as it's meat, it doesn't matter to me." her lips remained curled in the soft smile as she looked down at the medical supplies in her hand. Standing slowly she looked over to Gemma. "Thank you, Gemma." She figured she'd go inside and clean up a bit then go out and try and find Richard. It'd been a while since she'd spoken to him last, usually she only cast spare glances at him. Kicking at the ground silently Jaxxon let her eyes sweep the area once more, as well as taking in all the scents to make sure they were safe. "Do you want me to go with you Gemma?"

»////Aurora × Silversun////«

Fair Butterfly flying gracefully through the wind, what is it you're searching for?

After sitting in the bathroom for a little while, Aurora wasn't sure how to react. She really wanted to help Sitka, but she knew that may be the worst thing to happen right now. She would go outside and take a walk, but the vampires were still out there somewhere. Or were they? Maybe she should ask someone, but she still didn't feel like moving. She got up, closed the bathroom door and turned on the hot water until it filled the tub. She got undressed and slowly slipped in, enjoying the heat of the water against her skin as her eyes closed and her mind wandered.

What lies in the farthest reaches of ones memory.

Taking in a deep breath through her teeth so that it sounded like a hiss, Gemma tucked her small hands into her pockets, thinking about it. She relaxed more into that posture, then smiled to Jaxxon again. She was happy to see the red-head smiling as well, though she looked thoughtful as well.

"No," she said, letting out the air on that note. "You just got home, and you should get some rest." Honestly, she probably should have admitted also that she wanted to do some thinking and try and find Lucian, but she had not thought that far ahead, in all truth. Shifting her weight from two feet to just one, she rose up to her toe on the now free foot. There was something she knew she had to give some attention to before going.

"I don't want to be too much of a bother, but would you mind keeping an eye on Aurora for me?" She knew Sitka would do that, but sometimes Aurora needed support, not mysterious romance. Whether the girl would agree with that or not was not currently on Gemma's mind.

Rest sounded good, right now, but knowing herself too well, Jaxxon knew she wouldn't lay down, she would continue to push herself as she always did. though her and Aurora weren't very close Jaxxon nodded anyways. "Yeah, I can do that for you." Jaxx told her with a soft smile, looking back towards the house. With the medical supplies in her hand Jaxxon headed towards the house, stopping and glancing over to Gemma. "I will put these back in your room when I'm done... Be careful." With that final note, Jaxxon headed back inside. Heading to one of the open bathrooms, she ran water over the cuts on her arms, proceeding to dry, disinfect, then bandage them with the gauze.

Heading back out she headed upstairs for Gemma's room, going inside, she placed the things on her bed and headed back out, shutting the door behind her. Sniffing the Air, she found where everyone was in the house before heading back outside. Curious as to where Richard was.

it's over I didn't want to see it come to this
I wonder if I will ever see your face again

A few minutes passed, and finally the blood from his still gaping wounds seemed slow. The lycan took in a deep breath before turning off the shower and watching the last of the red stained water run down the drain. The bathroom was warm, and steamy, though he didn’t seem to pay much attention as he wrapped a towl around his waist and made his way to his untidy room. After a moments worth of searching, he found an old pair of jeans and sweat shirt. Lazily, he pulled bother over his bruised body and made his way back down to the kitchen. Much to his reliefe, no one seemed to be around. The wolf took a seat at the table and laid his head in hands one more time. A long, slow breath served to cool his still hot temper. However, it didn’t take long form him to realize something was amiss. “Gemma” Concern stained his hard features as he stood up and gimped his way to the front porch.

((Gonna time skip soon. Just a heads up. And i'll pm some people and make sure thier still in))

And I know that I will find a way to shed my skin

Victoria finished her meal and wiped the blood from her mouth. She looked down at the corpse. She felt a twinge of guilt. She used to be human once. She used to have hiking trips with her friends. She used to giggle when she saw cute boys and when she fell and hit the ground her took her minutes to heal not seconds. Victoria turned away from the body. She couldn't think of that now. She was a vampire, not a human. She hunted them now, but the corpse was like a magnet and her eyes were drawn in. "Dammit." She muttered. She didn't want to feel this. She was the bloodsucking monster people dressed for during Halloween and stuff!

She grabbed the corpse by the wrist and dragged it through the forest. She kept it away from the road and hid it behind a tree. She would wait for the others so that they could do something with the bodies. Victoria leaned against a tree and looked at the sky. It was getting late. She climbed up the nearest branch that sat overlooking the road. Anyone could see her, she wasn't hiding. She was humming a delicate tune. She couldn't remember where she had heard it, and funny it would come to her now.

"A lullaby."
She told herself. Human memories rushed to her and she felt her heart ache. She clutched at her chest. This had never happened before. She trembled slightly. "No. I wont regret this." And for the very first time since she became a vampire Victoria missed her human life.

She can captivate to hit the ice,

After searching the area for a while, Jaxxon found no sign of Richard, She'd taken the time to bandage up everythign, but hadn't changes of done much else. A shower would wait until later, she just wanted fresh clothes. So with a emotionless expression after not finding Richard, she headed back inside and went straight to her room.

Pulling all her hair up into a bun Jaxxon looked at her shoulder. Gemma did a nice job bandaging it. Pulling off her shirt she pulled on a black hoodie with a silky designed interior. Leaving it partway unzipped. Forcing her legs form her pants she pulled on a different, clean pair of pants. Feeling a bit more comfortable, she touched up her makeup a bit then headed down to the living room, collapsing on the couch with a sigh.

In the dark she lingers,
Like a tear without a soul.

[Questing] Snow Apple(s) & Super Prize 2009(s)

Gabriel finished feeding, then looked at the bodies. He had the power, speed and experience to take down even two men without giving them terrible injuries, and yet still restrain them. The bodies were drained of blood, but otherwise were in good shape. He reached into one of the men's belts and stabbed a few places, including around the fang marks, making the men look like they had been stabbed to death rather than fed on. An autopsy would reveal the lack of blood, but the police would still have trouble investigating the matter, and of course would be unlikely to be able to blame 'vampires'.

Gabriel checked himself, he had both his own and the two men's blood on his chest, but that bothered him little. He walked through the forest again, smelling and finding Victoria. She stood away, waiting the others. He walked up behind her, silently, though probably still just loud enough for her to hear him. He stepped up in front of her, looking into her sad face. She was even trembling. He reached up, and wrapped an arm around her shoulder, his body smelling like blood.

"Hey, whats up? I know I'm hot, but really, I'm not worth getting this upset for."

His voice was teasing and light, knowing she would hear the joke. it would either make her laugh and cheer up, or she'd explain what was wrong. Either way he would be happy. His nose was healed now and his smile was back to 100%. His hand gripped her shoulder slightly.

A smile graced Gemma's lips. She waved a farewell to Jaxxon before she headed back inside, then turned and walked into the trees. The woman had seemed a bit worried, though 'Mother' wished she would not. Yes, she was weaker than the others, but she did want to carry her own weight within the pack. She had made a promise, and yet had not seen it through. Now was her time to make up for that. In fact, she made a plan right then and there. She would get Jaxxon something to eat, then carry on with what she wanted to do.

Yes, she was very concerned for Lucian. This was where Gemma felt conflicted of course, but she came upon the decision so suddenly that she hardly thought about it. The decision was this: the pack was more important than an individual. She cared for all of the individuals, so one could say her view on this dispute was quite mixed and would be cause for issue later. For now, however, the situation seemed very clear. The relatively young wolf took this in with a deep breath. She had not walked long, so she knew she would not find any moving meat nearby, but even from this distance, her senses were sharp. Even twenty yards in, Gemma could pick up the scent of a rabbit quite some length away. It was an enhanced talent, she supposed. Very few in the already small pack knew about it. That was fine.

The first scent she caught was that of a bird. At first, the thought seemed appetizing, but not really filling. Bird flesh required plucking, which Gemma saw as much more time consuming than just skinning or tearing. She took a few steps forward and tried again. Bird... Rabbit... Deer...? Rabbit seemed like a good choice. Deer was too big, bird was already ruled out. Rabbit it was. With a sympathetic look, she headed after the little ball of meat.

Without you, it's a waste of time.

Winds are getting up to 65 mph today, I kid you not.
