Cloud chuckled and wiped away a tear from Domina's eye.
"we are partners right?"
"i think thats what we do"
He unwrpaed his arms and looked at her with a light smile.
"you can either change or we can get going"
"i dont think it would be good if we're late"

Domina nodded, blushing under his touch.

"I'll go change really quick," she said. "I think they would be more angry if I showed up like this rather than just a little late." She hurried to her rooms, changed into a green velvet dress, and then met Cloud outside of the banquet hall. "Ready..." she said quietly.

"wait"
He turned and looked at her with a small grin.
"im going to get in trouble for this."
He took some powder from a little pouch and sprinkled it over Domina's head.
"now you'll sparkle like the princess"
He winked and opned the door for her in a polite way.
"after you"
He wanted to make sure tha everyone he knew was happy at least for tonight.

He looked away from everyone and started to eat. He stopped eating for a moment and took a sip of his drink

Domina blushed brightly, but went through the door, waiting for Cloud before going to her seat. She did sparkle, and the bells on her wrists and ankles made music as she walked, lending her an ethereal quality. She was happy Cloud was paying attention to her, because, in truth, she had liked him since she had first seen him. Love at first sight kind of thing. And she hadn't been able to even remotely show it til now, and even now all she could do was blush. Maybe their assignment together would be a good thing.

Rala ate slowly, barely moving, almost becoming an ice sculpture as she sat there. No one seemed to pay any attention to her except for the servant who filled her glass when it was empty.

Cloud pulled the seat out for Domina to sit in and smiled at her.
"if you'll excuse me for a moment"
As soon as she was all set,Cloud walked up to the head of the table.
He bowed slightly and looked at the king."hopefully everything goes as planned,sir"
"and i will make sure that what happened last time wont happen again."
Cloud was referring to the last party where they had the princess go on a little rage and then leave for 3 days.

He finished his food and looked up. He looked at Rala.

The king nodded to Cloud. "Thank you." He glanced again toward his daughter, but she was staring at her food, her face expressionless, her eyes cold as ice.

Domina nodded, starting to eat her food as she watched what was happening around the table. Nothing really interesting was happening, as usual.

Cloud bowed and took his seat next to Domina.
"so"
"anythign new in your missions?"
He ate a peice of meat and looked at her.Cloud ate lightly since he never had a apitite.
All on his plate was half of the normal amount of meat,several vegetables,a roll and a bowl of soup on the side.
His meal was different from the others since he never ate fancy either.

Alastair looked around seeing the table was quiet. He didnt like it one bit but didnt know how to change it.

Domina shook her head, her meal light as well. She never ate much in the first place, which made the servants worry. She didn't mind.

"Nothing really. I did hunt the meat that's on your plate though. The deer was hard to catch, even while injured." She smiled before taking a sip of her wine.

She looked up as Mary brought in the violinist, thankful for the break in the mood.

"ill be in the back of the room if you need me"
Cloud left his seat and walked to the otherside of the room.He was trying to stay away from the violinist.
He pulled up his hood and put on black shades.The lights were dimmen down and the violinist was in teh spotlight now.
