"Would you like me to?" He had a slight smile on his face when he returned the voley. He had to admit he really did want to and she didn't complain when he had before. Did that mean that she didn't mind his imposition of kissing her? Was her question more along the lines of giving permission?

"Because I know my parents and they put me in this position. Same for your parents. I tend to have a dislike of giving in to them and their schemes. Especially this scheme." She wasn't much shorter than he was, not that he was tall, and just the perfect height. "I suppose if you would like I could kiss you again." He leaned down till his lips were just shy of a kiss and looked at her his eyes were twinkling a bit.

"Along those words that I said, my permission was in there," Kara said to him. Her voice was soft. "So you do have my permission to kiss me again." Her smile grew a little. She could see the twinkle in his eyes. "And I get what you mean and you're right. It's the same with my parents," she said. "It's true that I didn't like the idea of them throwing me into an arrange marriage but, now I don't feel so angry any more."

"Oh good, I was hoping you would say that." He put one hand behind her head and leaned down and gave her a firmer kiss than he had before. He tried not to hit the wildly passionate but really wanted to avoid the 'brotherly' type kiss. He could tell that she seemed to like it and sensed the change in her scent again. What it signified he wasn't sure but there was a change. Eventually he released the kiss. "I enjoyed that. I hope you did as well." He was really glad he had brushed his teeth earlier.

Kara had closed her eyes during the kiss. She felt her heart beat faster but it soon slowed down as she had got back under control. She did like the kiss and her scent wasn't needed to be able to tell that. When he released the kiss, she reopened her eyes and looked at him. A teasing smile spread across her lips. "Not a bad kiss," Kara commented to him. "You can say I enjoyed it."

Destiny smiled. She was glad that Kenji didn't need to leave. She was about to unpack stuff and get herself settled, but she figured it was something that could wait till later.

"I am so glad. Not trying to say I am lacking in kissing experiece but..." He left the rest of the statement alone. As much as he wanted to kiss her again he forced himself to step back and take a mental deep breath. That was a bit more than he had expected and was getting not just his heart going but a few other things and that was not what they needed right now. "Um," he cleared his throat, "shall we go to town and see what there is to find?" He was still holding one hand and realized he had dropped his cane and he was looking down at it and mentally cursed at it.

Kenji grabbed her hand softly in his own now and started leading the way out of the room and down the hallway they came into, he couldn't help but feel himself blush at how beautiful she was and why his parents had chosen this certain woman for him. The two of them didn't really have anything in common at all, except that they were both stuck on this island like a few other pairs who had been chosen, a few thoughts came to his head now wondering if she was okay with all of this and him trying to get closer to her. He stopped and stared towards her now with a worried look showing upon his face.

"Destiny, do you think the two of us were meant to meet each other?"

Kara's teasing smile became more soft. "I know what you mean," she said to him. Geoff didn't have to finish that sentence. He didn't need to. Kara noticed he still held her hand but was no longer holding the cane as she had looked down when she felt he was still holding her hand. She was going to say some thing about the cane but she had noticed he had already noticed. She looked back up into his eyes. "Sure," Kara answered. "There might be some interesting things."

"Well, I think so. At first, I was really pissed at my parents for choosing who I was going to marry, but I guess that wouldn't have done it if they didn't think it was any good for me. And I hate to keep on mentioning stuff about superstition and spells and all that stuff, because I know I do it all the time, but my horoscope looked pretty good today, so this must be destiny."

She did hope they would have a good life together. And hopefully he'd be able to deal with her occasional bitchiness and sarcasm. Sometimes her friends told her how opinionated she could be so hopefully he wouldn't mind that either. Destiny could deal with generally anybody until her patience ran out.

Kenji thought to himself about how angry he was about the marriage too, then he grew to get used to being with Destiny, maybe even enjoy her company. He was sure he would get used to her being around a lot, as the two of them walked, Kenji suddenly stopped and his eyes grew wide at the sight in front of him. It was a map of the entire house and anything that people could ever want in their houses was on there, a smile came onto his lips now as he turned towards the young witch

"I wouldn't mind living alone with you here in this dream house. And I'll be able to get used to all of your habits if you be able to get used to all of mine. And if all of this is wrong, then I don't think I want to be right"

"Would you mind?" He pointed at the cane. He cold get it but that would be painful and embarrassing. After she handed it to him he thanked her and headed down toward the garage. "I will let you drive if you don't mind. With my right leg in the brace it is rather a bit difficult for me to do it." He smiled at her when he said it.

When he walked into the garage he could tell his mom had picked the car. It was one of the fuel efficient hybrids out there. Not one of the E cars he was joking about but definitely not a sports car.

"Sounds like a deal to me."

Destiny did have to admit, it was a nice looking house. Maybe not as nice as her own house, but much simpler, which she liked. Once they had gotten comfortable in the house, Destiny though about going to see the other people on the island. She was wondering if all the other couples were getting along as much as she and Kenji were. Plus she thought it would be nice to have a few girl friend to talk to.

After Kara had picked up his cane and handed it to him, she smiled and followed him to the garage. She was hoping for a sports car since he said she could drive. She had one back at home and she loved to drive it. When she saw the hybrid car, she pouted. Her hopes were shot down. A lesson to her to not get her hopes up. "Damn... I was hoping for a Ferrari.. A mustang at least," she said to Geoff. "Driving it would of been fun.."

He couldn't help but laugh at her reaction. "Poor, poor you." He didn't really care. Cars were for getting from point A to point B and that was about it. Now a motorcycle ruled. They cost less than a car and tended to have more power, comparatively speaking, than a car and the more powerful ones could blow away most cars when racing.

"Well you can still drive it and I don't know about your parents but my mom is just shy of being an eco freak." She recycled virtually everything, had a compost unit behind the house, and had even convinced his dad to install solar panels to help reduce the energy needs of the house. There were other things she had done as well but they didn't really show as much. While he was thinking about that he climbed into the passenger side and waited for her to get in.
