"Sorry to surprise should have let you know I was here sooner" He said he still wasn't thinking about what he said, he just sort of opened his mouth whenever a thought ran through his head. He wasn't sure why maybe it was because he need some sleep, or maybe it was because he felt bad about locking Serise up in this place.

Serise's slate eyes turned to him and she nodded alittle, she still looked depressed, and very worn out. It was almost dawn and she hadn't slept. "Why are we here? Are we food?"

Lance really wasn't sure what the exact reason was for them being here, so he wasn't sure what to tell her. "I am as much in the dark about that as you are" He said looking at her reflection in the mirror. "Our master has yet to tell any of us."

Serise looked up at him, she gently slipped her warm hand into his and led him to her bed. She sat down and thought for a moment, then looked up at him again. "Can I ask you some questions? I mean...if you have all picked one of us for yourselves for a reason...maybe we should get to know each other alittle?"

Lance held her hand allowing her warmth to warm his whole hand. He nodded to her first question. "Yah" He said still standing next to the bed holding her hand. He almost didn't want to let for of her hand.

She tried to think of something to say that he wouldn't know, "My favorite color is blue-gray." She smiled alittle, trying to halt her blushing.

"I kind of guessed that" He said noticing how she always wears gray outfits. "Well mines red" He said sitting next to her. He couldn't think what to say next, he was no good when it came to talking to anyone, unless he wanted to be rude, or sarcastic, but right now he was trying to be kind, and seemed to be failing.

"Well...my last name is Valentine. And red seems about right." She gently ran a hand through his streaked hair and smirked. "...I kind of like purple too...but I've never really...felt the desire to stand out, as boring as I am. So I stick with gray."

"I like your name" He said "I seemed to always want to stand out" He admited. Lance was never one to just sit in the back, and shut up, he was normally the first to talk, but it was never anything nice. "I have to admit, normally I am not this kind to anyone." He said looking away from her.

"Then maybe...you can teach me to stand out too?" She leaned forward, trying to see his face, "And I think you are very kind...you won't feed off of me even when I say its okay. But...I want to know how it feels...I know you won't kill me. I trust you." She watched him intently, as if begging him to show her someday.

"Don't know how easy that would be to teach" Lance said looking back at her. Lance really did want to drink her blood, he wanted more then anything, but he wouldn't do that to her. "I wouldn't put you through that" He said still looking at her.
