Welcome to Gaia! ::

Standing in the same spot, Lance watched Serise. He didn't move from that spot. He enjoyed watching her, and right now he didn't trust himself to speak. He had already told the girl too much, and anymore would just make things worse for her.
Serise tried to hold it in, but it was getting more and more obvious by the second that the fact that she may never leave was sinking in. She trembled at first, then through the book in a fit. Staring at the floor.

"Leave me alone..."

She turned her back towards him and laid down. Serise finally had a friend...but a what cost? Her freedom?
Lance wasn't sure how to calm her down. "I'm sorry" He said, and then left the room closing the door behind him. He lowered his head, and started up the stairs. He was sure what he did wasn't the best thing, but what was he supposed to do? Lance took a seat in the loung. He rested his head in his hands not sure what to do next.
Serise started to cry, pulling the plush crimson fabric up to her shoulders. Her black hair framing her head like a black halo. As she sobbed, her shoulders shook. She had to let it out, but this was not her giving up on freedom.
Lance sat back, and sighed there was nothing he could do for her right now. He could here her cry though, he heard every sound she made, and he was sure she knew that. "I messed up" He said with a sigh. He would have to find a way to fix this or he would lose her as a friend. Lance started to think about that though, why did he want her as a friend, since when did any human matter to him. Since when did anyone, for that matter, mean anything to him. Why did he care so much? Lance had an idea why, but disregarded it hoping he was wrong about his own feelings.
Serise cried until she couldn't anymore, soon she was just shivering. Lifting her shaking body from the pillow, she sniffled and moved about her room, finding the pad of paper she had drawn on and flipped to a random page and started to write up a storm.
Lance eventually got up from his seat, and back downstairs. He didn't bother knocking on Serise's door, or even make any note that the room was there. Instead he headed to his own room, and took a seat at his dest, and began to write. He wasn't sure at first what he was going to write, but then he got inspired by Serise, and began to write a story about her.

"Okay now you most think I'm a nerd so I'm going to shut up now," she said and blinked twice as she read the spine of the book he was holding. "Ack! This is why I pefer not to talk to people I am just too weird! I just can't say nothing right! Too much time around my crazy grandma!" she said loudly more to herself then him as she put her hands over her ears and shook her head.

He chuckled. "Don't sell yourself so short! I like you, you've got spunk. Not to mention the fact that I have somewhat of a similar experience with the occult, and am thereby rendered incapable of judging you without hypocrisy."

"I guess so," she said and walked further into the room and stopped when she saw book laying out on the table that grabbed her attation. She walked up to it and wiped the dust off the front cover and she read the title out loud "The art of Killing a Vampire Slayer or Hunter?"

((I love your sig))

He was by her side in less than a second "Like I said, there were some nasty rumors spreading about lord Hangshire. As a matter of fact I've been looking for this particular volume, I've been meaning to put it on eBay."

Serise wrote until her hand cramped and then she put the book away and paced, she couldn't sleep. But it was around 4am, the sun would be up in a few hours. Moving to the vanity, she put it back in its place. Then left her room to wander the castle. After a long while she came to the room with all the mirrors that Paris had originally found, most of the other rooms were boring, locked or pretty dirty. Though she made mental notes of a few to explore later. Oh wow, that's lucky. Now all I need to do is find one that I can put back on my vanity and in the bathroom...maybe...my bedroom.

First she got one the right size for the vanity and carried it off, down to her bedroom and propped it on the vanity. It was a three piece folding mirror, but it was very heavy. It sat nicely on the dark wood vanity. Then she went back to the Mirror room and got a large one for the bathroom, struggling down all the stairs she nearly dropped it twice. Propping it up against the hallway wall, she caught her breath and lugged it into the bathroom. She'd need nails to put it up later, or some sort of hook. Bu for now it would sit on the sink. Hmm...maybe the one the the vanity is enough. Then she remembered seeing a hook on the inside of her armoire. "Alright, one more then."

Back up she went.
Lance heard a few sounds coming from where he knew Serise was, but she seemed to be going up the stairs. At first he left her alone, and continued his work, but then he heard her come down, clearly carrying something. Lance got up from his seat, and walked out his room, and down the hall. He made it to the stairs, and the door to Serise's room. She wasn't around there, so Lance just stood there waiting for her to come back down the stairs.

Daniel didn't say anything. He was already through the door. He looked at the long table. It had several chairs. More than the six of them could fill up. The table was a wondrous mahogany wood, shined so the chandelier's light reflected in it. He sat down in the head chair and let out a small sigh.

She walked back into the room about fifteen minutes later carrying a bowl of her cooked onions. she sat nex to him, her bowl setting down with a clink.

[Other feelings start to fly...]
Daniel looked over at her bowl, but said nothing. He had nothing to talk about at the time. He let his mind wander around. He thought about his stomach, he needed blood. He thought about the girl that sat beside him. He thought about different possibilities...

she ate silently, letting her fork fall when she was done. "Thinking of something interesting?"

[Other feelings start to fly...]
Daniel looked up at her. "Yeah. Kinda interesting." He mumbled and stretched a little. It was interesting to him. He was having second thoughts about biting her. He usually didn't do that.
