Lance sat in the kitchen listening to the others talk, but they started to bore him, so he wondered away. He headed downstairs where he knew Serise was. He knocked on the door to her room, and waited for a reply.

"Okay now you most think I'm a nerd so I'm going to shut up now," she said and blinked twice as she read the spine of the book he was holding. "Ack! This is why I pefer not to talk to people I am just too weird! I just can't say nothing right! Too much time around my crazy grandma!" she said loudly more to herself then him as she put her hands over her ears and shook her head.

He chuckled. "Don't sell yourself so short! I like you, you've got spunk. Not to mention the fact that I have somewhat of a similar experience with the occult, and am thereby rendered incapable of judging you without hypocrisy."

Serise spun to look at Lance, she smiled alittle, but looked back to the empty closet. "Are there any spare pajamas in the castle?" She looked alittle embarrassed at him.

Lance didn't say anything at first, but then he said. "Not that I know of" He said. There really was almost nothing in this castle. He wasn't sure what to do about that though. "We don't really have much that humans seem to require" Lance found it easier to talk to Serise now that she knew his secret, and that made him more relazed around her.

"I guess so," she said and walked further into the room and stopped when she saw book laying out on the table that grabbed her attation. She walked up to it and wiped the dust off the front cover and she read the title out loud "The art of Killing a Vampire Slayer or Hunter?"

"Yeah, that's okay. I forgive you guys...I bet most who come here don't last long, huh." Her voice was thoughtful, like she was almost accepting the fact that if Lance didn't kill her, one of his brothers would. Walking over to him, she stepped close to him, but not offensively so and looked up to him. "Lance, I was thinking. There's not really any way you can stop us from leaving the castle during the day. Well besides turning us. So I could go out, with the the other girls or alone and shop for food, clothing and other things we need. Because humans are fragile. Otherwise, living on noodles and canned vegetables is going to make us less healthy and irritable. We need more than what you have here, fresh foods, medicine, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, things to do. I give you my word that I will come back." She gently took his right hand in hers and squeezed it tenderly.

The two highest IQ's ever recorded (on a standard test) both belong to women.

Sliced bread was patented by a jeweller, Otto Rohwedder, in 1928. He had been working on it for 16 years, having started in 1912.
Lance just starred at her for a moment without saying anything. He couldn't let her out because the orders were not to let them leave. "Sorry I cant let you out" He said lowering his head. Lance liked the warm feeling of her skin it almost made him want to hold her completely.

Daniel laughed a little. "Obviously." He mumbled and gently grabbed her hand to examine the wound. "It's not bad..." He added and placed her finger to his lips. He sucked on her finger, cleaning it. He made it seem as if he thought nothing of it. Almost like a natural response. He hadn't payed attention to the other girl and what she said. He parted his lips from her finger and let go. "There." He looked over. "Hey, you get a bite at Lance yet?" He smirked a little.

[When love runs dry...]

she blushed, a small shiver travelling down her spine. Glancing around the room she found the drawer the girl had pointed at and removed a bandage from it's wrapper, covering her cut. "Um...thank you."

[Other feelings start to fly...]

Daniel shrugged and licked his lips as he turned away. 'Her blood is so sweet...' He thought to himself and let out a sigh. "Just be careful, yeah?" He couldn't look at her now. He wanted to taste more of her blood. It was calling to him.

She nodded, suddenly realizing how stupid that was, he wasn't looking anyway. "I'll try my best."

[Other feelings start to fly...]

Daniel let out another sigh and turned back around, leaning against the closest counter. "What were you cutting up anyways?" He asked and tilted his head slightly to look at the cutting board.

"Er, um, Onions. I thought maybe I could make saute`ed onions."

[Other feelings start to fly...]

Daniel thought for a moment, letting his eyes wander to the ceiling. "I don't believe I've had that before.." He mumbled and looked back at her. He shrugged. "Whatever you want." He said then started to look around.

She wondered absently why he was trying his best not to look at her but ignored it, smiling instead. "They'r ethe only kind of onions I like."

"There's different kinda of onions..?" He mumbled. He knew some looked different, but he thought an onion was an onion. Like an orange was an orange. He didn't understand the difference. But whatever.
