||I will be on tomorrow, so if you are I will see you then!||

Waking in the morning, Serise looked around and frowned, rubbing her eyes, "Mnngh...where the hell?" She looked at the bed, and around the room with blurry sleep filled eyes. "This isn't my room." As the haze of sleep left her eyes she started to remember where she was and what was going on. That actually made her relax, it was better than home. Lance had made her laugh the night before. But for some reason she couldn't bring up that feeling from last night, the laughing and the smiling. She tried to smile a few times, but failed, she wasn't feeling pretty, she felt like Serise again. Sighing, and gathering up the book, pencil and sketch pad she put them on a darkly colored vanity.

Licking her lips, she looked to all the things lying there, hairbrush, barrettes, ribbons, make-up of all kinds. But there was no mirror, frowning, she wondered if she could ask for one. Maybe its a desk...not a vanity. Its not like I would used any of this crap. Opening the drawer, she swept everything but the hairbrush in there. Brushing up her hair she realized she had no toothbrush and frowned, she'd use a hairbrush left out but not a toothbrush. She'd ask Lance for one later.

For a while she sat and drew, read and even tried to write alittle. her stomach stopped that and she looked to her door. She knew where the kitchen was, maybe they wouldn't mind if she cooked herself something. Walking upstairs, she came into the kitchen. It was mostly can food and dry things that wouldn't spoil, so she made herself some quick soup. As she ate, she wondered where everyone was.

Shrugging it off, she cleaned her dishes and retreated back to her room to draw. Drawing her hand over and over again like her teachers had told her in school. The day wore on as she did, she ate when she was hungry and read, drew and wrote. This place was her new home, Lance had said she was stuck here, so she was going to make the best of it and cultivate her own hobby. This castle was a new beginning.

As the sun set, Serise headed upstairs to look for food for the third time, only to realize it was growing dark. What? I haven't seen or heard anyone all day...even the other girls...

Lance had been working in the library till late that night. He went down to the basement just before the sun came up. He went to sleep in the coffin in his room. He lay there at rest throughout the entire day.

When the sun started to set Lance began to wake up. He was not fully out of bed till the sun was gone, and there was only a small glow on the western horizon. Lance crawled out of his coffin, and headed to Serise's room to see if she was awake. He opened the door, and saw that she wasn't in there. Lance knew that she must have been awake for hours, so he thought he would go look for her.

After a few moments Lance wondered into the kitchen and found her. "Hey" He said.

Looking up, she was glad to see him, she was draining the water from her noodles, she didn't like broth with her noodles. "Evening, creature of the night. What did you do stay up until dawn?" The she was obviously joking, but she had that same apathic expression she usually had on. Her finger tips were black from drawing and reading and various artistic activities. She poured the noodles into a bowl, "Do you want some?" Her black hair fell into her face as she looked up from the pot.

Lance watched her cook the food, and said. "Yeah I am normally up at night" He said. He looked at the food, and shook his head vampires didn't eat food. "I'm not hungry" He said, which was the truth, but when he was hungry he didn't eat anything really. He looked at her stained hands and asked. "What have you been doing all day?"

"Oh!" She jumped up and ran downstairs. when she came back, she had the sketch book and Serise opened the book to show the drawings of the hands. They were horrible at first, but that got pretty alright after over a dozen pages...after those she had tried new things to draw and they were horrendous. Sitting, she ate her food, watching his reaction, her eyes hopeful.

Lance giggled a little at some of the pictures, but some of them he realized were really good. "Well the first ones are pretty bad, but then you started to get better" He said. Lance was of course not lying to protect her feelings because he would never do that, Lance was what some would call brutely honest. "See all you need is practice."

Nodding, she agreed and took the pad back, staring at him as her hand moved. Her hands were moving more fluidly now. She was enjoying the idea of creating a decent picture of him this time is was still distorted but there were parts that looked like him. His hair was the best looking though, it looked like a cascade of ink. She left little spots light where his red was, "Do you think you could help me put streak like tht in my hair? Maybe just white...or purple?" She cocked her head as she drew him, her noodles growing cold.

Lance thought about that for a minute. "I think purple would look nice in your hair" He said "And of course I could help you" Lance had actually only recently colored his hair, well recent for a vampire anyway. "Your food is going to get cold"

"Meh, I've eaten them so much today. By the way...does anyone have a job here? I need a toothbrush and some clothes. Should I get a job?" She looked up at him, then back to her paper. Erasing a line and redrawing it differently, it was turning out to be a mediocre picture of him, little did she know that he could never see himself in a mirror or otherwise. But if she drew him he could. She put her hand on his arm and smiled, "Or is the Master of the castle so loaded that no one even needs to worry." She noticed the cold again, but didn't mention it this time, but a slight twitch in her face hinted at her growing suspicion. Getting up, she moved to wash off her dishes, throwing the cold noodles out. As she was washing the bowl it slipped from her grip, the nice thick glass bowl shattered, "Oh damn it!" She turned off the water and reached in to clean it up.

"The master is loaded" He said about the job thing. There were no tooth brushes in the house anywhere, in fact he had forgot that humans even needed those. "As for your tooth brush problem I might be able to get you one." Only that would require Lance to leave the house which he only did late at night, and usually only to hunt once a week. "I could go get you one tonight" He said, right now was a little too early in the evening for him to leave. Lance felt her touch his arm, he felt how warm it was and enjoyed the feeling. Lance laughed a little as she dropped the plate.

((EDITED A LITTLE))

As she nodded, "Okay, good." she responded, he couldn't see her hands of course, her back to him. She twitched and lifted her hand, licking away the blood from the cut, she continued to pick out the glass, ignoring the little droplets as she did. "Almost done. So what do you want to do? Can I go out with you?"

"I will be leaving later" He said, he could smell her blood at that moment. He didn't like how she started to bleed it made his fangs show. "You cut yourself" He said. He had to stop himself from drinking her blood.

Nodding, she threw away the last pieces of glass into the trash and held up her hand as the little river of blood tried to go down past her first digit. "Yeah, its not too bad though. Got any band aids around here? I'll jus' wrap it or something." Walking over to him, she pointed to the pad. "Like it so far? You're pretty cute, aren't ya." She started to smile alittle.
