Jak reached into his pocket, pulling out another peice of paper, "It says his name is Raeyl, but it sounds a little fake." He placed the paper back in his pocket and looked over at Loch, "Sorry I was a little... Dumb. Like I said, I can get ahead of myself sometimes." He pulled his hood down, his ivory hair getting mussed up from the movement.

"So, your the new kid.... alright. I guess i need to take you to the strong hold." Loch nodded. "Alright. Meet me at the edge of town at sundown." loch started to walk back into his shop. "Take care of anything you need in town now before we leave. tell no one of our meeting."

Laseus had returned from the store to see that Loch was gone again, he always seemed to be doing something when he sent him on an errand. He had put the supplies in their proper place. he then sat down to rest, looking to his scarf playing with it a little. he was a skinny boy but agile and flexible at the tall height past a bit past the normal height of a dark elf. He looked very much like Loch but he was just 5 years younger to Loch, he was like Loch's little brother and he was but Loch having no memory of him, he was just his helpful and lovable sidekick. He was also Loch's wing man when it came to women.

Kato smiled apologetically once again. First she had ignored Lola, then the shopkeep. Once again feeling embarrassed, she set down the crest and left the store. She had gone in thinking she could get some help, but she had not been able to get around to the things she wanted to know. The door closed behind her, but she turned to look inside a bit longer before shaking her head. She had her reasons for being in this city. They were sad and difficult to get through, so she did not try to, but still, she just wished she could have gotten some answers. A little sigh escaped her lips. Maybe there's someone else I can ask, she thought.

Loch went around to the front of the shop and stood before the giantess. He waved for her to follow him to the back of the store.

Jak shrugged and strolled through the town. 'I need to get it under control. That last one was way too close.' He took another deep breath. He reached the edge of town, sitting down on the grass. He pulled out one of the throwing knives in his cloak, flipping it between his fingers. He flicked it into the air, catching it between his fingers and flipping it around in his fingers again.

Naturally, the giantess was surprised to be called by Loch when he had not seen - or really, she guessed, heard - her leaving. Once again reminding herself not to underestimate the dark man's abilities, she followed him to the back. There could have been a chance that this was a trap of sorts, but Kato did not think of this. Very seldom did she worry about these things until it was too late.

Once Loch was sure they were unseen he turned to face the Giantess. "You wern't looking for material things were you?" Loch asked while looking up at her.

Kato's hands came to meet each other before her stomach instantly. With only a moment of hesitation, she shook her head.

"No," she murmured. "Unless information is material..."

"then information is what you shall get. What do you wish to know." LOch took a seat on the steps behind his shop.

With dark eyes trained on the man, Kato leaned back on the nearest wall and let one hand fall to her belt. At the same time, she reached under her scarf and into her shirt, fishing out a wooden crest so similar to the one she had been eying in his shop that it was painful. She squeezed it one hand, more for strength than sake of her own identity.

"A recent outcropping of the war has disrupted my way of life," she said, voice still low and words slightly undistinguishable. "M-maybe I shouldn't be asking a stranger, but... Isn't there some plan against this war?" She was, of course, getting at a resistance, which she could have sworn she had heard of once or twice.

Loch nodded. "Alright, you wish to know about the resistance. And if i tell you of them.... what do you plan on doing?"

"More than likely, I plan on assisting them," responded she. "I don't have much left, and what I've got, I'd give up..." Kato sighed here and shook her head. Was she devoting herself too heavily? She tried to keep her resolve toned down.

"...I-is that acceptable?"

Loch smiled. HE then began to laugh lightly. "According to the rules i laid down long ago.... that is perfect." Loch stood and stuck out his hand. "My name is Loch. We could use your strength..."

Daft punk Rules!!!!

"Humans are weak... but we want to live... even if we're wounded... or tortured... we feel the pain..."
-Guts- from Berserk

The stronger that any light shines...the darker the nearby shadows grow." - Raban
"Kato," responded the giantess, reaching out to shake his hand. She was surprised by his laugh, and even more so by the revealing of the rules as his own. Still, she smiled and gave her own light chuckle. What he said about strength she was not so sure of, but she would not correct him.

"Call me Kato, and if I have any strength, it's yours to use."

I have no clue if I'll have an internet connection when I get home from school.
Winds are getting up to 65 mph today, I kid you not.
