//Desperado, why don't you come to your senses?
//Come down from your fences, open the gate...

As the man walked away, Evy turned to Cole. "I wasn't trained in acting you know. Besides, any roles that were given to me in high school were for frantic, nervous characters. I was the White Rabbit in Alice In Wonderland..."

Okay, so maybe she did have a slight case of undiagnosed ADHD, but she had already admitted that (to herself at least.)

Evy sighed and walked over to the van. "Hey Lena." She greeted the Made Agent. "You feelin' alright?"

.::Agent Lena 3sG1::.
Undead Hunter

Lena finally found her feet, "Hey... Evy right? Yeah, I'm fine."

She looked around before coming closer to the pair, "so, what you got to report?"

Something about the town didn't feel right, it was like she was being watched. Strangely enough, her sensors did not detect the presence of any overt supernatural energy. She had previously assumed she'd be encountering some angry killing spirit or maybe a hobgoblin, but now she wasn't quite sure... maybe... werewolf? Depending on the type, they often read as normal until blood samples are taken, or during their transformation.

Cole shrugged, looking around.
"I was home schooled. And before today never saw a need to act." That of course had never stopped him from going to the theather, or the opera. Which he did love.
He glanced over to Lena and then went back to studying the hotel with deceptively calm eyes while waiting for Evy to report.

The hotel was an old Victorian styled converted mansion positioned upon the cliffs. A gentle salty sea breeze blows against the wooden shudders. It has an empty and hollow feel to it, most of the staff long since left, and only a few remaining to dote precariously upon the single rented room. The paint is a little faded and curled, but that is to be expected so close to the sea. Otherwise, it seems to be in excellent condition.

"Oh, right." Evy said, remembering the phone call. She dropped her voice to a lower volume. "When I first got here, nothing real weird was happening. Well, save for the murders...then, a couple of days ago, I saw the mayor and his daughter finishing lunch. His daughter had this odd look on her face and looked particularly frightened. I watched them for a bit; they walked down the boardwalk and then just disappeared after stopping shortly in front of one of the doors. The boardwalk is the main road where everything happens - restaurants, grocery stores, that kind of thing." She started.

"Then starting that night...the equipment started picking up sounds. Random creepy stuff, but last night, there was a high frequency ring that blocked out everything else and earlier, I tried filtering, pitch bending, everything I could using the audio program, but nothing was working. Right before you guys got here I guess, one of the programmers sent me a revised update to the program - darn nub - and I had to pause the installation to get ready to meet you guys."

Evy looked at them expectantly, waiting for some kind of reaction.

.::Bridgette Askov::.
Lone Gunman

Bridgette held the file for her next assignment firmly in her hands while waiting for the other two operatives to arrive outside the meeting room. She exuded a chilly presence, and though quite beautiful, agent passing by mostly refused to meet her gaze, not that she seemed focused upon any of them, but her eyes tracked movement. A hunter's habit. Her old associate Katrina had nicknamed her "snow leopard" because of her feline countenance.

She leaned against the wall, exhaling impatiently, wondering when Agent Maxwell and Mr. Hectic would arrive.

Turning back to listen to her, taking in her report with actually changing his expression. Then he nodded and asked.
"Have they allowed you to look at the bodies. Or at least the coroner's report? Or talk to the daughter and see what is frightening her?" There could have been thousands of reasons, including her being whatever was killing the people here. but you never knew until you actually spoke to her.
"I am going to find the sheriff and see if I can force some cooperation from him. Do you know where the station is?" he asked after a moment.

Lena frowned. The mayor's behavior was out of the ordinary for a mayor, but not very strange overall. Lots of soft people have trouble dealing with death, after all. What caught her attention was the high-frequency noise, "That SOUNDS like a poltergeist. They can interfere with equipment", Lena hated poltergeists, "but... they're usually a lot easier to sense."

Cole did make a few good points, "yeah, that's true. Could be a werewolf... maybe. That would explain the mayor's daughter, I guess. Good idea. Go see what the sheriff has to say."

//Desperado, why don't you come to your senses?

Evy scoffed. "You saw the reaction of that man. If they knew that I had come here on government business, I'd probably have been arrested on the spot. I was watching everything from my room. As for the station..." Evy thought of the map she had been given in her assignment file. "Go all the way down to the...east end of the boardwalk. Past the little shop there is a forest with a clearly marked pathway. Follow it and there should be a clearing where the barracks are. You should be able to find the sheriff there. Good luck with getting cooperation though. I've been working in my room this whole time since everything seems to be centered here at the hotel, trying to pick up any sort of supernatural presences."

It's my baby~<3

He nodded for a moment, acknowledging her point.
"Which is why I would prefer if you disclaimed any knowledge of my working for the goverment, when people find out. In fact an arguement in the middle of the boardwalk, where you slap me would be good." he shrugged. "People are far more likely to reveal things to somebody they believe has been wronged than almost anybody else. And since I expect the sheriff to 'let it slip' about three seconds after i speak to him. I would work on your acting skills." He started walking down the boardwalk, following her directions. He found it after a few minutes and walked into the barracks. Quietly asking one of the people there to point him in the direction of the sheriff.

~Danny Maxwell~
Hack Master

Agent Maxwell moved at a sedated walk as he headed for the meeting he was called to. In one hand he had a bag full of his equipment and in the other he had a bag of chocolate covered potato chips. A cig was tucked behind his ear and black sunglasses covered his violet eyes.

When he saw the woman against the wall he grinned. "You must be the other one." He said while closing his bag of treats and stuffing it in his other bag.

"She looks interesting. Cold and distant.... bet shes great in bed."

OMFG...... look .... it's Anime Me!!! And yes...... I drew it.

A skinny officer with glasses, suspenders and a side holster seemed to be looking through files and reports when suddenly, he found himself asked for directions by a man looking for the sheriff ((Cole)).

"Sheriff? Something wrong, stranger", asked the officer, "some kind of trouble?"

Cole studied him for a moment then nodded.
"Yes. For which i need to speak with your sheriff. If he is not here then Please tell me where I may find him." He stated, shifting his weight slightly to his left leg, he did not want to get the run around by the deputy.

.::Bridgette Askov::.
Lone Gunman

Bridgette was immediately disgusted by the agent. He was obviously the hacker. She'd worked with hackers in the past and could not, for the life of her, understand why they insisted on appearing unprofessional.

"Is Ms. Askov. Am your superior officer. Address me as such", she said, her accent coming out. She unaffectedly tossed her bangs out of her face, "can assume you are Agent Maxwell, the hacker, yes?"

The stranger seemed to think he was mighty important.

"Anything you got to tell the sheriff, you sure as can tell his deputy", he said, "if it's about the road, there isn't anything we can do about the road block. That's the Feds you'd want to talk to."

Strangers at a time like this seemed a little out of the ordinary. He slyly put down his files and slipped them under a pile of papers, "you with the Feds? You look Sacramento to me."

Edited: ((Geh... got mayor and sheriff mixed in my head. Long night, early morning, sorry about that.))
