Evy jumped out of the truck and waved to the woman on the porch as Buck mentioned that he had brought guests home. Then she noticed Buck was having trouble with trying to get Lena out of the front seat. 'Darn it. Isn't technology already supposed to be up to the point where we can use light enough metal and small enough parts to make things as sophisticated as Lena? She thought as she said, "Lemme help."

Evy tried to take Lena's torso into her arms as much as she could to help haul her out of the truck. 'I really hope those years of being in the pit were worth it as of now...stupid keyboards...'

Danny flinched when Hectic came up to him. "Dont.... don't touch me...."

He was horrified with what happened to him. He sat there shaking. "We have to finish our mission so lets get to work."

When he was done shaking he stood up and retrieved the jacket she had left behind. He put it back on and headed down the hallway.

"Mighty kind o' yeh", said buck as the two of them hefted Lena out of the truck. Really, getting her out was the difficult part. Once she was secure, Buck had no problem carrying her, he'd carried stock of similar weight for years, and so took over, the girl in his arms.

Bri was already inside when Buck brought in Lena, dragging her to the guest bedroom and laying her down on the bed to sink. He dusted off his hands, wiped his brow and headed back into the living room where his wife had a sumptuous meal of three kinds of fish, cornbread, biscuits, gravy, two chowders, and a Jambalaya. She'd been hoping that nice fellow Mr. Reed, who she'd met earlier, might have wanted to stop by, but no such luck.

Wouldn't have mattered anyway, since Donna was nowhere to be found.

Evy quickly followed Buck inside. She waved again to his wife. "Hello, I'm Evy." She introduced herself. When she noticed the smell of food wafting from the living room, she smiled. 'I haven't smelled the scent of a good home made meal since I moved out. Maybe I could possibly go visit the 'rents when I get back... She thought.

"It smells great Mrs...." Evy stopped short when she realized that she didn't know Buck's last name and therefore what to call his wife.

Changing his mind about persueing the subject Danny dashed down the hallways to find their room. He was in serious need of a cleaning and he wanted to do a little spying in the hotel computers to find out where the man was staying.

"I'm going to clean up. Explore if you want just try not to get killed."

"The name's Brianna dear", she said appraising her dishes. The girl was obviously malnourished. She looked pale as a ghost, "never mind the 'Mrs. Rogers', I'm not that old yet."

Buck chuckled, plopping onto a recliner with his newspaper.

"Quiet you", said Brianna, shaking a gravy ladle in his direction. Buck chuckled again, "easy there, mother."

Brianna sighed and then turned back to Evy, "well, don't bother waiting for anyone else. Nobody seems to want to respect dinner time anymore."

Buck raised the newspaper and sank in his chair some.

"There's plenty! Eat!"

Evy smiled at Brianna as she sat down on the couch, placing her bag between herself and the armrest. "Thank you both for allowing me to stay in your home." She said. She took a plate and some silverware and put a little bit of everything on it. 'Man, I'm gonna regret having all this food later, but it's so good! Definitely better than all that fast food I've been having. She thought as she took the first bite.

After Evy finished chewing and had swallowed, she turned to Brianna. "Your husband here tells me that you play the piano at the local church." She wasn't about to eat in silence; too awkward for her. Might as well make some conversation while this time of peace lasted, if it was going to be a time of peace.

She sat comfortably at the table, not touching the "complimentary buffet" laid before her. The room was spectacular! The entire outer wall was a window, tainted to whatever shade or color you wished via remote, and outside it, they had a small court and garden with a pleasant table and chair in the center. The room was two stories, the top being the two bedrooms, the bottom being the kitchen, dining room, entertainment room, bar, games room, walk-in closet fully stocked, and small sound proof studio. Sentinel had obviously intended for the three of them to masquerade as high-rollers and potential business partners to get close to Mr. Cambridge.

What an amateur and childish strategy suitable for movie spies, she thought, they will very quickly ascertain our identities that way.

She began trying to think up a new strategy.

But the still did not trust the buffet.

Using his key Danny opened the door to the room and stepped inside. He didn't see Bridgette at the table and quickly walked through the rooms finding a bathroom quickly turning the water.

"I've been spotted so that means that I'll have to disguise myself this time. I'll jack into the computers and read more about them later. but first.... a shower."

"That's righ', honey", said Brianna with a smile. Buck turned a page.

"I been playin' since I was a little girl. I love music, and I loooove the piano. Do yeh play", she asked.

Just at that moment, there was a knock at the door.

"I'll get that", said Bri, "since SOMEONE around here's a big useless lump."

Buck chuckled and slapped her behind as she went for the door. She giggled and continued on her way.

Buck lowered the paper and leaned in close to Evy, "now this is probably Manny. The boy's been after mah daughter fer... since she hit puberty, I reckon. Best not to make eye contact. I don't like to encourage him, but the wife... she's been trying to fix Donna up with someone for ages. Oh! Here they come!"

Buck very expertly returned to reading his paper.

"Guess who's here, papa? It's Man!"

"Mhm", replied Buck.

"Hello Mr. Rogers", said Man with a big stupid looking grin on his face.

"Mmmhmhm...", replied Buck.

Man stood there for a minute and then coughed.

"And this here is...", she said, indicating Evy.

Danny sighed in happiness after he exited the shower. Hoping to find his bags somewhere he headed down the halls looking for them.

Finding them he changed into something casual and headed for the food he smelt.

He finally saw Bridgette at the table. "Oh hey...... whoa... food."

"Don't can touch! Don't know where it ees from", said Bridgette impatiently, "what you have to report, Agent Maxwell, and where ees your companion?"

She crossed her arms and her legs, sternly gazing at Danny. She'd noticed his mess coming in, but chose not to mention it. He would speak about it if it was of significance, though she couldn't imagine how being covered in blood while stalking vampires could possibly be less than important.

Evy smiled back and nodded. "I've..."

When there was a knock at the door, there was a break in conversation. Evy took this time to start eating her delicious meal again. She looked up at Buck as he spoke to her in a lowered voice. She snorted at his comment after swallowing her food, but did make note not to make eye contact with this "Manny." She followed suit after Buck went back to reading the paper by starting to eat again. When she was being introduced, she stopped her meal and looked up at him, being careful to look at the wall behind him to create the illusion of eye contact. "I'm Evy. Pleased to meet you."

Evy didn't like the dumb look on his face. Not that it made her suspicious or anything, but she never liked it when people had dumb looks on their faces; it annoyed her. As much as she hated being annoyed by such a petty thing because it made herself feel like she was stuck up, she couldn't help it. She didn't let that emotion cross her face though.

{{Edited to reflect that Evy didn't have time to make a lengthy response.}}

It's my baby~<3

.::Aranio Onada::.

Whatever the creature was, it seemed pretty hostile, hissing and bristling its hair. He reached into his hunting pouch and pulled out some jerky to see if it would take. He had some doubts. Whatever it was apparently did not take well to strangers. It smelled female.

"Come one, little girl. I'm not going to hurt you", he said. He didn't really think that the creature would warm up, but it was worth a shot.

Just then, his friend Ashim came crashing through the woods behind him. Ashim was training to be an acolyte, the group that was held by the Shaman and consisted of medicine men, witches, seers, alchemists, and whatever other intellectual pursuit there happened to be. They were the keepers of the tribal history and the arcane knowledge... and a good thing Ash was with them too. He'd have made a terrible hunter. He was small, but seemed to have absolutely no coordination, couldn't fire an arrow to save his life, was prone to hurt himself with melee weapons, and easily misled in were or wolf form. Aranio turned his attention from the small furry thing.

"What is it Ash", asked Aranio.

"She's about to start her trials!"

"Really? Right now?"

"Yeah! Come and see", said Ash, running off in the other direction, tripping on bramble, picking himself and running off again.

Aranio turned to the creature, "sorry little girl. I don't have time to play with you."

He ran lithe and fleet, easily overtaking Ash and continuing on towards the wolves' den.

Danny stepped away from the food. "Oh alright."

He sat down at the table resting his hands under his chin. "I ditched my jacket acting underage so I could hopefully lure out who we were looking for. I ran afoul of a drunk the once I ditched him and lost sight of agent Hectic."

He blinked few times. "The I was headed down the hall to tail the man I had been following when I was assaulted by some blood wielding chick. She had my jacket and the mission files. She attacked me with the blood. I'm not hurt just grossed out. Anyway. Hectic pulled a gun on her. and I came back here."

His stomach rumbled again being so close to the food.
