At first, Shion was shocked to hear Lena through the speakers. Then, as she thought on it, it wasn't that surprising. "I don't exactly consider myself a screw up, thank you very much. I happen to be very mentally healthy... My brother was in Section 8, so I was raised to work in the agency." Though she doubted that satiate her companion's question, it was all she was willing to talk about. "I've been working here only a couple of month's, so I'm pretty new at all this." Chancing a glance at the others, she decided to ask her own question:

"What do you guys do, anyway? Specialities, abilities or something?" A smirk slanted across her face as she added, "You know. Since this seems to be 'Twenty Questions' and all."

Evy drummed her fingers on the tabletop in her room at The Olde Garis Hotel in Cape Garis. She had been sent there as part of Sector 8's current investigation in the area. A week had gone past and her equipment hadn't picked up anything that remotely symbolized the presence of any supernatural entities as of yet.

Yesterday, Evy had been sent an e-mail that announced the coming of two agents, Cole Reed and Shion, plus Lena. She hadn't met the other two and knew Lena only a little bit, but just enough to be slightly afraid of her. She sighed boredly and got up to go to the balcony, appreciative that the builders had decided to give one to every room, even the smaller ones like hers. Leaning against the railing, she took a deep breath of the ocean air, which calmed her.

'I wonder when they're getting here...' Evy thought. 'Its been so DEAD since I've been here...'

It was midday and most of the cape was lunching at this hour, the hot sun lulling the hazy coastal community gently into its afternoon.

Mayor Fein had aged well, a distinguished silver streaking his hair, and his well-groomed goatee shaping his square jaw. His several generations of relative wealth showed in his clothing, and those of his daughter, a slight, scared looking girl clutching a doll. It seemed that the Feins would need to visit the local doctor's office this day.

"I'm here to make sure you guys don't get killed", she said, "It's mostly my job to look human and take out threats dangerous to regular agents, like you two. Oh yeah. There's an agent already in the field. We're meeting her at the hotel. Her name's Evy Marino. She's a techie, I think."

EDIT: ((Reread your post, Kasumi. Misunderstood at first.))

Cole glanced at Shion for a moment as he continued to drive, then shrugged.
"Short ranged combat. Both armed and unarmed. My ability is to manipulate metal. When i am handling it." He took another turn before continuing, driving onto the highway. "I am, of course perfectly capable of using guns and such. I prefer short ranged combat though."
He paused then sighed and shook his head.
"Lord forbit I ruin your enjoyment at her expense." he stated deadpan.

As Evy looked down upon the boardwalk, which was also the main pathway where the hustle and bustle of Cape Garis happened, she noticed the mayor and his daughter finishing their lunch on the outdoor patio of one of the ritzier restaurants of the area. She focused her eyes on their location, adjusting her glasses and putting her hair up. The girl had a scared look on her face and while Evy didn't know what for, she found herself sympathetic; she was always a sucker for those faces, even more so in this case while the little one clutched her doll to her chest.

'Wonder what's going on down there...'

((Tell me when you wish to time-skip to the town. It's a long drive from DC to California, and I don't expect we'll rp the whole way. Otherwise, continue getting to know eachother for as long as you wish.))

((Time skip whenever you want. I REALLY don't want to Rp that trip out))

((Yup yup))

The doctor opened the door with an equally worried expression. He looked around, as if to make sure no one was watching and rushed both the mayor and his daughter inside, slamming the door shut.

---------------------------------------------------

After a few days, two flats, and far more fast-food than the two humans would probably normally ever eat, they arrived at the Olde Garis Hotel somewhere around midday ((pretty much everyone's here at the same time)) and it was now time to meet the third member of their little party.

Cole climbed out of the van, bones making popping sounds as he stretched out. Desiring at the moment nothing more than sleep, and a gym to work out in. Or at the very least food that didn't contain more grease than nutrients. He looked around, trying to spot the agent that was already here from where he stood.
"It rather reminds me of my home town. Just without the base."

Evy watched the mayor and his daughter continue down the boardwalk a little ways before they herded themselves inside the door they had stopped at and disappeared. She turned her head and raised her eyebrow slowly, weirded out by the short scene.

x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x

Quickly tapping the keys on her main keyboard, Evy tried every available command that could play around with all the audio that her sensitive equipment had picked up in the past few nights. Did she think it was just a coincidence that it all started happening after that afternoon she had spent observing Mayor Fein and his daughter? Oh no. Admittedly, this kind of stuff freaked her out, but she was doing this in broad daylight so it wouldn't affect her as much right now. However, now that it was becoming serious, she was hoping and praying that the other agents from Sector 8 would be arriving soon.

It's my baby~<3
Her whole stomach felt queasy as she exited the van. "I never thought I'd be tired of sleeping," whined Shion as she moved to the front of the car. That, itself was becoming rather difficult seeing as he her legs had gone to sleep. Now the painful tingling assaulted her with every step she took. "Crap," she muttered, her face turning into a grimace of discomfort. "Eh... It's not bad... Just hope that this other person isn't so hard to find in this place," she groaned to her companions.

Lena's chassis snapped back to life as she fell out of the charge tube. She stood a little awkwardly, her programs not all reconfigured to her actual body yet, but she had plenty of energy.

A simple looking elderly gentleman in a fedora, with a shoestring tie, and a friendly face came to greet them, "Well, hello strangers. Not often we get visitors around here." He had a hospitable and genuine manner about him and his smile seemed genuine, "Can't say I want to be impolite, but you'd get packed up and turned around if you knew what's good fer yeh. There's been murders around here and the hotel's shut dan."

The sounds that Evy could distinguish from static with her equipment resembled many many small children, wolves, and... a very disturbing squish squish squish.

However, a high-frequency buzz quickly drowned out all future sounds.
