"Raeyn..." Xander sighed with relief. "Thanks." Being so close to her, Xander wanted very badly to sink his fangs into her neck. He bit his lip firmly to to try to keep from biting her, but it took a lot of effort.

Raeyn l`Morne

Raeyn smiled at him warmly. "Xander..." she began, but then stopped herself biting at her bottom lip, "nevermind .." she sighed.

After pushing herself off the wall she reached her hand down to Xander, "show me more of the house?" she asked him.

Alice continued walked bored and yet a little amused since no one really knew that a. she was a demon and b. that she was only half of that demon.

Of the wind and floats downstream
Till the current ends and dips his wing
In the orange suns rays
And dares to claim the sky

Sanaa smiled knowingly and shrugged, stroking her friend's hair once more just to prove a point. She felt a small pang in her chest when he said love, although she didn't see why. She'd called plenty of people 'love' when she spoke, what did it matter?

"I'm still jealous." She sang, tapping her forehead. "You're blessed with eternal life. And the silkiest hair in the universe, even if you're made from ash. It just isn't fair." A light chuckle finished her statement, and although it wasn't meant to be melancholy, somehow it turned out that way.

"Meanwhile, I'm cursed to keep on living, over and over again. I like who I am now, and I don't want to change. But someday, I'll be someone new. I'll be forced to change. Who knows... I might even wind up being a vampire hunter again..." She frowned and looked at Dominique, hoping that, in the future, he wouldn't fall at her hands. That would be horrible. Then again, she wouldn't remember him.

"I don't want to do that. I wish I'd never asked to see my history." She mumbled, drawing closer to Dominique although their arms were already linked; she'd suddenly felt another chill run down her spine.

But longed for still and his
Tune is heard on the distant hill

"you think that being a vampire is any different from what you just discribed. i dn't remember being a vampire but i can vaguely remember the pain it took to make me like i am. it eludes me most of the time but your desire for death and 'life' brings to my mind a lucid state, drawing to mind for why the pain was inflicted. it was my choice. my desire for the life i once had to go up in flames and all that be left might be ashes. you assume i would wish such on you? that i would desire for you the life i allowed monks to drain from my veins? nay, it shalt be not so," Dominique said coldly, his entire demeaner changing in that instant.

Dominique's sudden change actually made Sanaa upset, she was surprised at the surge of anger she felt rush through her veins.

"I can't remember being a vampire hunter, but I know how many I killed. I know the hatred that fed me and drove me to commit such heinous crimes. I don't want to go back there. I'm happy where I am. Oh, and, by the way, you're putting words in my mouth. I never said, implied, or even thought about you wishing anything on me. I know for a fact that no one here would wish their state on anyone." She spat bitterly, starting to walk the other way. Instead of continuing, however, she fell to the ground and bit her lip, her brow furrowed, trying not to cry. Why did her emotions always run so hot and cold?

At least I know he understands. She thought, trying to forget her anger.

"killing vampires seems to me a righteous kill," Dominique said, still held by the sanity that he had possessed before he became ash. this had already began to wear on him though and he collapsed to the ground. the book fell from his hand and started to crawl away.

Sanaa scoffed, her eyes daggers as she watched him fall.

"Slaying of humanoid creatures is disgusting, especially if they have personality. It's murder. I don't want to go back to that place. I was a black widow." She closed her eyes and rested her head in her hands, upset by her actions. Why was she so angry? It didn't make sense. She wished Markus was with her, he'd be able to calm her down. Sadly, though, he wasn't. Still a bit flustered, she rose from her place and moved back to Dominique, placing a hand on his forehead, making sure he was alright.

I'm sorry, you know.

suddenly, Dominique sat up to smile at Sanaa, then stopped confused. he didn't know why but he felt angry at her for something but his memory would go hazy at times then return like shifting sands. "why am i angry at you?" he said like a school child who didn't understand how the teacher had worked a math problem.

Xander looked a bit confused as he thought of what he might show to Raeyn. "Well, I don't live in the house and I rarely come up here. As far as I know, I'm the youngest vampire here around the house, and I usually keep to myself in the woods. The others are several hundred years old, but I'm only nineteen. Is there a particular room you want to see?"

I'm just as creepy as Dani here. Just try me sometime...

"Because I'm sick of being human." She admitted guiltily, looking away. She was disgusted with herself, and the tears were starting to leak from her eyes again. Hoping her friend wouldn't judge her too harshly, she continued.

"I don't want to turn into a monster again, and I don't want to leave this house. I don't want to have to endure another cursed life. I can't take it anymore... Every time I'm born, my life is filled with sorrow and pain. And, just when it takes a turn for the better, I realize I'm going to die and forget it all..." She sobbed quietly, expecting Dominique to hate her and turn cold again.

Raeyn l`Morne

Raeyn nodded, "oh, my mistake.. " she blushed slightly. She was sad when she heard that he lived in the woods, "great..." she thought, "first nice guy I meet and he doesn`t even really live here.." she sighed lightly. "No, that`s fine .. I`m sure I can find my way around here... " she smiled lightly then bit at her bottom lip, "maybe you could show me around the woods.. I understand that I cannot leave, but I`d rather hang out with someone I know.." she said slowly.

"why would you turn into a monster? i won't turn you, i don't think i even can. and i'll kill any one else who tries to turn you," Dominique said, anger being replaced with concern as he tried to consul his friend, wrapping his arms around her.
(i can see logic behind why Dominique would have warmth, but what's with the other corpses being warm?)

Sanaa smiled gratefully and rested her head on Dominique's shoulder, but frowned as more tears fell from her eyes. Killing was a bit extreme, wasn't it? She looked up at him and smiled weakly.

"Every other cycle, I'm some kind of murderer, or some kind of sadist. I'm someone who loves seeing others get hurt. I don't want to be that person anymore, I hate it. And, I know you can't turn me, but really? Killing? Is that necessary? Besides, I wouldn't give up my freedom so easily. If you really think I'm that desperate, you're mistaken." Her eyes twinkled and she let out a laugh, but it was a hollow one.

((...Dunno...))

Dominique thought a moment. he seems to have glimpsed a fleeting desire to become a vampire, but that didn't really make sense. then again, if humans are one thing it's hippocrits. as he thought he gently brushed the tears from her cheeks. "why would i have seen a want to be a vampire then?" Dominique asked out loud, to himself in reality, but it sounded like it was directed at Sanaa.
