Raeyn nodded slowly at his words, "I suppose I should have known .." she laughed, "I mean .. how else would you be able to do .. this .." she looked down at her beautiful blossom-covered dress and then back up at him, she sensed his sadness and shook her head; "I don`t know if it`s the fact that you`re a vampire .. or the fact that I`m not afraid of you that scares me more.." she bit at her bottom lip in thought.

"Please don't be afraid." Xander felt a strange connection with this girl, though he had only met her recently. "What about me being a vampire scares you?" he asked.

Raeyn nodded and smiled softly at him, something about him was gentle, unlike what she normally thought about the mythical creatures. She bit at her bottom lip, "I suppose it`s just the fact that you may.. try to.. eat me?" she said, her voice squeaking at the end. She fiddled with a blossom on her dress and then shrugged, "but .. but I don`t think you ever would..." she nodded confidently.

James, annoyed at being ignored, threw a crack pipe at Markus' head and ran off. Before long he ran into Xander and company. "Hey guys!" James said as he pulled out a joint and lit it. "Long time no see!"

Raeyn lifted her head to the guy smoking and sighed, "I see not much is different here than out there.." she chuckled and rolled her eyes. "I`m Raeyn, and you are?" She asked politely.

"Well," started Xander. "I might be tempted to maybe take a bite..." Xander trailed off quietly, then looked up at James. "Oh, hello... You are... James, right?'

Raeyn`s eyes widened and she shuffled away from Xander a bit, confused. "Y-you would?" she said, swallowing hard. She shuddered at the thought and then furrowed her brow, "but w-would it kill me ... what do you guys eat anyways?" suddenly her mind was bombarded with thousands of questions.

"Kill? Never! Vampire, nosferatu, etc. all drink blood. The bite wouldn't kill you, and if I remember right it doesn't hurt at all. It will make you like I am though, but not with the same powers." Xander looked at Raeyn and laughed inwardly at her reaction. "Any other questions?"

Raeyn digested his words and then looked at him stunned, "wait -- so you don`t drink blood to survive?" she asked, confused. "And you could make me have powers too!?" she asked also, more excitedly. She stared up at him admirably.

"I do need to drink blood to survive. And you would get powers if I bit you, but I don't know what they would be." Xander stared at the ceiling, which he had covered with vines and flowers that made the area around them look like a tropical garden.

Raeyn sighed, "ahh.. so it`s a bit of a gamble then .. " she said slowly, looking around and rubbing her arms as if she was cold. She kept her eye contact away from Xander while she thought.

Xander took off his cloak and put it around Raeyn's shoulders. "You look cold," he simply stated. "Whatcha thinking about?"

Raeyn smiled up at him and pulled the cloak closer around herself. She swallowed, "I was just thinking that now I`m a little scared of you...." she sighed, staring up at him awaiting his reaction.

Xander frowned. "Well, what would make you un-scared?" he asked. He scooted a little closer to her.

Raeyn shrugged and then felt the warmth of his body and smiled softly. "I- I`m not sure .... but you are nice enough..." she nodded slowly. Her gaze moved down to look at her dress and she smiled once more. "No, Xander.. I think that you`re quite ... not scary.." she smiled at him.
