A free bird leaps on the back
Of the wind and floats downstream
Till the current ends and dips his wing
In the orange suns rays
And dares to claim the sky

A small smile slowly spread itself across Sanaa's cheeks, and she laughed a few times, muttering to herself, "See? Prayers are answered...Now you don't have to go back home. You'll be surrounded by forest." It was a happy thought, although it was impossible for Sanaa to feel one hundred percent positive. There was a little bit of panic and surprise mixed in, as well as a bad taste in her mouth; what would her younger sister do without her at home? She'd probably wind up running off herself, without Sissy to take care of her.

"Umm, Nicholai, I hate to be rude like this and interrupt this conversation, but, umm, never mind..." Sanaa's voice trailed off; she felt horrible for interrupting. It was a thing of hers.

A fearful trill of things unknown
But longed for still and his
Tune is heard on the distant hill
For the caged bird sings of freedom.

Nicholai automatically looked at Sanaa. His years of combat sent a piercing glare straight into her eyes. He realized this mistake and relaxed his gaze. He even managed a smile,"What is it?" he asked her.

Reaching out and catching the surprised girl, Johnathan laughed softly at Arcadia's surprise. "Did you not expect to find anyone in this mansion?" he asked kindly. "I'm Johnathan; olive here. Can I help you?" Johnathan smiled sweetly at Arcadia, thinking -She sure is beautiful. I wonder how she tastes... No! Stop thinking like that, Johnathan. Resist, you can feed later. She seems nice enough to keep around for a while.- Johnathan barely resisted the urge to lash out and bite the girl, somehow maintaining his cool composure. "Are you lost, miss?" he asked with a sincerely friendly smile on his lips.

Sanaa shivered; that was one fierce look she received, and it unsettled her a bit. Thinking about her question, though, totally swept away all ill feelings. It actually brought a smile to her face, and she spoke with confidence this time, although her voice was and reserved. Sanaa's voice was musical, purely magic. Every word she spoke...It was as though she was secretly reading the music of Language, a series of crescendos and trills.

"I apologize for asking, sir, but, will the mansion let us walk through her doors freely? I mean, as long as we don't walk farther than need be. I hate to sound selfish, but have all my equipment with me; you see, I was going to camp this evening, and it would be amazing to gaze at the stars in such a pure place? Imagine, no lights and sounds, nothing of the city to shroud the beauty of nature...It's wondrous!" Sanaa sang, her words pure poetry. She gave Nicholai an apologetic look, feeling awkward for making him glare.

Arcadia blinked as she looked to the man, her heart had jolted from the surprise and now thudded in her heart slowly back down to normal pace. "N-No... I wasn'r expecting anyone. It has been so quiet in here." she said softly and pushed herhair back over her shoulder unknowingly exposing her neck. "Well yes, my plane crashed in the forest and I came here hoping for some place warm and to find some help." she said softly.

Chloe kept the confusion from showing on her face. She was in fight or flight mode and looked around at all the exits. So they couldn't leave? Chloe was stuck in the middle of nowhere with strange men forever? There had to be a way out, surely they had to leave...for food and social events right? Perhaps she could bribe her way out of the situation. She listened to him talk to Sannaa and tried to think of a proper thing to say. Chloe couldn't show fear, no she had to remain tough. "Is there anything I can do to change the situation then?" She said, moving over to him, swaying her hips. She was being tarty, not too much so that she didn't overdo it. "Surely you don't stay here forever...you have to leave sometime..."

Rammi's thoughts about the strange teenagers who lived at the mansion were kept to herself as she was ignored for the whole period of time. As she swifted her attention from boy to boy, she started to wonder why they looked a little out of the ordinary and allowing the others to free load at their home at will. They seem pretty nice... But then again, you never know. The thought constantly repeated itself, especially when she caught Nicholai looking at Chole's bleeding arm.

By the way, I'm Asian.
Mellow Marshmellows

Nicholai stared, unblinking, at Sanaa,"Camp out if you must." he said. His voice was cold with a hint of elegance. He turned his head slowly to Chloe now swinging her hips walking towards him 'Really?' he thought 'She's trying to use her hips to get me to help her?' he laughed inwardly, but there was no humor on Nicholai's face,"There is no way that I know of." he said trying to use as little words as possible.

"I guess I'm the only one here who's okay with the circumstances...I think I read too many comic books." Sanaa muttered under her breath, noticing Chloe's worry. Despite her want to fit in, her want to worry like the others were, she just couldn't. It was as though she was genetically coded otherwise. Sanaa took a deep breath and pulled her field guide out from her pocket once more, peering out the window to see what plants she could find and match with the illustrations in the book. It was her way of pretending to stay calm.

Nicholai's words, although they sounded empty, had great meaning in Sanaa's eyes, and she smiled widely, her spirits instantly lifting.

"That's wonderful!" She beamed, although she was still uncertain. Why was Nicholai so...icy? It was unsettling.

Chloe sighed, she really didn't expect her charade to work. She was never that type of girl anyway, even in a desperate situation. Her brain worked and worked, trying to figure out a way to leave. If no one else saw the danger they were in, they could stay there if they wanted. "If you don't let me leave..." Chloe started but found herself at a loss for words. Her arm was burning and she was still bleeding, so much so that it soaked through her makeshift bandage. She had to sit down and calm herself. She could feel her heartbeat racing, something told her something wasn't right here. She was going to at least try to leave. Chloe walked back to the door, it wouldn't hurt to try to leave. "If you want to keep me here, your going to have to make me stay...." She went to open the door with no such luck. It was locked, but not in a way a normal door was locked. "What the..." she said. She grabbed a vase and threw it to the ground in frustration...to her surprise...the parts came back together...and then back on the shelf. Her heart stopped, this had to be a nightmare.

Nicholai stared calmly at Chloe's frustration. He walked up to the door and opened it gently. Nicholai stood by the open door with his head cocked to the side looking down at the girl,"Im not trying to keep you here and I dont know how to let you leave, but I suggest that before you go gallivanting off into the rain and forest we fix that arm of your's."

Sanaa gasped in wonder as the vase rearranged itself, and smiled like a kid in a candy shop. This was an amazing place, there was no doubt about it. Of course, there was that little voice in the back of her head, the voice of reason. It said, Get out while you still can! You know exactly what's going to happen, Sanaa. There's this twisted part of you, you want the books to come true. But that's not how the world is supposed to work!

She listened to it for a while, nodding her head in agreement, but the voice was right; there was a twisted part of her; she did want all those books that she'd spent endless time reading to be true.

Sanaa looked to Chloe, her eyes pleading. You're right. Please, find a way. We'll find a way together... She begged, although her heart was telling her otherwise.

She couldn't help but agree with Nicholai on the subject of Chloe's arm, however. It looked really bad, and she could bet it was painful, too.

"Everything is so curious. What are the odds, huh?" She asked herself aloud.

"Plane crash? So that's what I heard earlier, huh." Johnathan looked back toward the front of the mansion and said, "I saw another girl earlier, perhaps she was on your plane as well?" Johnathan offered his hand to Arcadia and said "I'll take you to where she was last, if you want me to."

I'm just as creepy as Dani here. Just try me sometime...

Chloe could not believe what was happening but his voice seemed to calm her down. She looked down at her arm, it looked worse than it felt. Chloe sighed, taking a seat. "I guess your right.." Chloe said and looked up at him and then the others. "I hust...do not understand.." It was too much comprehend everything. Her teachers were dead, some of her friends might be, she was trapped, things just did not look good. " I think I need actual medical attention...maybe a hospital.." Chloe said softly, trying again.

Show me how to lie,
You're getting better all the time.
Arcadia shivered slightly and nodded to the man before her, "Yes, I knew she came here as well. But we don't know each other well, but if you wouldn't mind if there is somewhere warm in this mansion?" she asked rubbing her arms once again as goosebumps crossed over her skin.
